Misbehavior of conductor
My daughter aged 13 years has a concessional bus pass from jayanagar 5th blk to makkala koota, changeover at jayanagar 4th block. She takes the 60 series bus up to basavanagudi police station and then takes buses plying on KR Road to makkala koota. On 14th aug 2008 she boarded 60A at police stn and the conductor was misbehaving right through. At Shanthi theater he asked for her bus pass and on seeing that he literally pushed her out of the bus saying it's not a valid pass as 60A does not go to makkala koota. She was embarrassed and was crying and next she boarded 60B and the conductor asked for her pass and said it's fine and 60A conductor was senior and cranky. I req2uest the authorities to instruct the conductor to behave themselves and it's public transport and not the property of driver or the conductor. Where can i give a written complaint?
Misbehavior of conductor
This happened to me just 20 min before.i caught a BMTC bus at koramangala 4th block busstop, 201G bus number is KA01F2570. I gave the conductor 5rs and asked the ticket to domlur. He didn't give me ticket and went back side. Somebody told the ticket is 6rs so i gave him again 2rs and he gave me 5rs ticket.i asked him to give back my 2rs.
Then he started scolding me for asking money.He gave me 7rs Ticket rather than 6rs Ticket and he shouted at me saying that he will throw me out of the bus through the dollar. As i don't know kannada he started scolding me in kannada. Even he used his hands on my body and tried to push me.when i replied that i will give a complaint... he replied instantly u cant do any thing. You can complain at any where, no complaint will work out in this country... etc.
How a gov employee can push a passenger in the bus.all most all conductors in the BMTC they will take the money and will not give tickets.as even it is open secret no body in the GOVERNMENT is taking action to prevent this corruption. While leaving the bus i met one more passenger for whom the conductor gave 7rs ticket instead of 6rs. what's the wrong with BMTC conductors, is BMTC giving them salaries or not? Any i will take this issue to higher authorities.
Today when i was travelling in bus KA01F4637 500 which was coming towards Hebbal. Bus was totally filled with rush i was standing on the door the same bus conductor asked me to show the pass i made delay due to i was standing near door i couldn't show me. After sometime rush got reduce i moved inside and showed him the pass he went to back to his work. After half an hour he came for ticket collection he was falling on me and one more lady by taking support and behaved badly. I asked why cant you stand on that side he answered me i want pillar to stand next me by touching by my arm and behaving so badly with passenger. This the way a conductor is giving respect to ladies he is not fit to be in government job as a conductor. Better please remove him are transfer him others ladies should not again some problem. Its my humble request. Thanks for giving me chance to raise the complaint upon conductor.

Today as dated 13.5.16 in morning, I was travelling from Shankara matha to Vijayanagar by Bus no. KA-01 F-8888, ( K2 ) timing : 9 O'clock. I am seating on at vacant seat. And asking ticket. ticket fair 14/- rupees .Due to no change, I was given to him 20/- rupees. I was requested to him for no any change pl written on ticket & given change at end place.( Daily given change 14 /- rupees )I saw that some other people also not given change But conductor behavior is normal & written on ticket.But at the end of me, he shouted in Kannada Language & told me for standing get out from Bus.
This is very serious matter. Please take it has priority complaint, Which was very much dangerous.

Required more buses to devarchikkanahalli. Most of the time will end up in waiting for more than hours.
It was 9:00am on a Friday morming when I reached BTM Water Tank and was waiting for a bus.201 BMTC Bus Came I was forced to board a bus which was crowded and few drunken stinking losers hanging inside. Most of the public buses in Bangalore have hydraulic doors. The hydraulic system is not Closed Why I have a Doubt From Btm Water Tank to East End.There were 4 guys who were blocking my way from going inside the bus. I requested one guy to give me some way, but he refused. Beggars are better then BMTC conductors and drivers. These jokers are good for nothing. I think BMTC trains them to behave in that manner. These coward bas#$%ds will deserve very cruel punishment.
I still don't understand the nature of the local idiots. I feel they thinks that someone is looting them badly and the local b$%^&ds are zealous of floating population who comes here for IT jobs. Rash and cruel behaviour and mis use of their powers by respective BMTC conductor and Driver who holded service no KA01FA1530 on June 26th 2012.
I am a Sr. Software Engineer working in one of the company In Hyderabad, came to Bangalore on work basis for few weeks, I was travelling in a BMTC AC Vayuvajra service with service no KA01FA1530 on 26th June 2012, Tuesday Night, Time 11pm, holded Bus ticket no 0301126(90Rs/- day pass), from corporation to Marathhalli. When near to marathhalli bus stop, me and my friend are getting down driver has suddenly put the brakes very hardly, my leg was hit hard to a rod, and it pained me a lot. I suggested the driver loudly, to put the brakes Gently as i was unable to catch the bus with a single hand, as my left hand does not work. When i was getting down the conductor who was sitting in the mid Entrance caught my Bag very hardly not allowing me to go out of the Bus intentionally even though iam pulling to go out. when I relieved from that he caught my collar from the back and asking the driver to close the mid door.
They completely closed the doors of Vajyu Vajra Bus.
When i tried to pull my self, he intelligently poured all his money from his bag on the floor and drawing a sympathy from public. The driver stopped the driving bus after a while after Marath-halli bridge came down as conductor is trying to catch me hardly and driver was trying to beat me badly. Both driver and conductor hitted very hardly, conductor tried to wrap my neck very hardly with his hands to a rod.Even the marks are visible and still it is paining till today. Conductor in mean while asking driver to bring Rod to beat me, while he is trying to catch my neck hardly. Driver tried even to search the rod, and he did not got the rod and finally the conductor went and tried to bring Fire extinguisher to tried to hit on my head. All the public in the Bus are seeing the incident like a cinema. when i tried to ask few public for help no one is interested to help because of the rude behaviour of the driver and conductor. As i said iam a software engineer and asked to help me, the kannada public became one as iam outstation guy who doesnot know kannada, as the Money was fell down from conductor bag and conductor got sympathy from public. And local feeling got strongly pervaded with in them. when i asked the public to call the police the driver himself called the Police first and said some thing favorably towards them police in kannada. He also strongly sended out the public who are supporting me.My shirt was completely tore and i was injured in many places.
Later the moving police took me to Mahdevpura police station and these driver and conductor saying in kannada to police that they are in on Duty i was beaten them. With the local support they tried to betrayed me they can file a complaint on me in as they are working Government Employees on Duty and i was beaten them, even Bangalore Mahdevpura Police also supporting BMTC bus driver and conductor. Even police oddly-treated me verbally. Even police did not asked me what has happened from my side. My friend who was along me with me tried to explain them what has happened, police was not listening to him, police does not know English and even SI of the respective station was not their at that time. They even did not asked me any thing from my side. They are literally seeing me that my shirt was completely teared and blood marks on my Body.
After all these Bus driver trying to complain that they have lost their Gold Ring, Money of 2000 along with cash and 2000 Rs money was lost in their Bag. They are trying to utilize their power saying if they complain i will be in bars for 6 months under a Non Bailable warrant. Finally my manager and his team came and survived me by settling the case for 8, 000 Rs/- . The Conductor did not even calculated and told to us how much cash they lost exactly from their bag. How much they have in their hands by looking there money and cash chart or from their cash device. I see very odd behaviour with non-kannada folks.
I even heard from respective conductor and Driver that they have booked so many cases as such on different passangers many times, Of which one passanger was send to Bars for 6 months with their on Duty power. They even forcibly taken the ticket that i have purchased, saying they need to submit to their department.
I travelled in many BMTC buses but i did not see these type of Rude conductors and driver using their power.We outstation passengers expect some protection atleast in Government Buses.
The letter is intended to take appropriate action on respective Driver and conductor. And take a writing from them that they will not repeat the same with other passengers.
Questions to the BMTC Department:
1. Does the amount i have paid has reached BMTC department or not. Does the ticket that i had returned to conductor in police station, has reached the BMTC department or not.
2. Does BMTC commisioner and Managers are maintaining any records on these complaints. And has a monitor on there staff.
3. Does BMTC drivers and conductors of Vayuvajra (Red colour Buses) has any code of conduct in terms of behaviour with their customers.
4.These Vayu vajra Volvo AC conductors and drivers are Educated or not, do they know English and Hindi. Because in all these volvo buses Mostly effordable, educated, out station and foreign passengers will travel.
5.Can they Mis-utilize their on duty power. saying they lost their Rings, other things and cash as such etc., . can they blackmail the passangers with their power.
6. If these type of complaints on a particular driver and conductor is more what is the action that they are going to take on them.
7.Are you giving any Emotional Intelligence and meditation sessions to your drivers and conductors for mental tranquility.
Hope i may get a reply all to my questions and will consider my complain.

i stay in velankini gate and whenever want to travel to channasandra(near uttarahalli)
prefer 378(electronic city to kengeri) but today and unseen event took place, i was first person to go into the bus as the bus stoppped wipro gate, so i went inside and i went to the last as that route lot of ppl cramp in within 2 stops, so when i got inside even bus conductor told me to go inside and till the end as he said (at 6:10 pm ).but after the next stop i shouted for the conductor to come as i was ready with the money, but that guy went down the bus and took ticket of others as if he was not interested in giving the ticket, in the very next stop checking took place and within a minutes that guy(who checks the ticket) reached to me after looking for tickets, i told others who were there in the bus the case who were next to me, they also told me we people are with you and we people will help you out, after that guy who was checking ticket reached me and told me to show the tickets i told him that this is the case as told above and he should help me out with this as its the conductor responsibility to see to it, but on the other hand conductor told me that he din`t even hear me and he told several words which i was not able to understand but after telling and discussing with him finally he gave a slip of RS 160 to sigh which is really rude as others was also with me not to sign but as an individual i had to sign, as others where having tickets and others were not so keen to talk on my topic, in between one guy told "you could have passed the money" which was insane, how can this be possible. what ever happened is happened but till after getting down i was able to see the slip which was given by that person(ticket checker) after i got down but i remember the bus number(KA01FA-1871) and saw the slip which was given to me, on that slip 1 more frad thing done by the person which showed the travelling place as electronic city to channasandra but i got up on the bus at Wipro gate which is almost 2 km from that stop and that is also a wrong thing to do and bus number was also not written correctly as i was able to remember the bus number i wrote the same in the piece of paper. plz help me out with this if someone wants i can show the proof as i am having the original receipt with me and the details are written are also wrong.
Hi, I am travelling everyday in 500D Volvo Buses, there is no problems in the morning, But in the evening we are not at all get buses after 7pm..I have waited nearly more than 1hr. Please take actions of the concern persons.

The behaviour of BMTC bus conductors is usually very rude towards the commuters. They normally treat as if we are not human beings but a herd of sheep or cattle - .
I daily use the BMTC bus to travel from Hoskur Gate to Electronic city and almost everyday, Today I have received very good hospitality from this Bus Conductor ( Bus number KA01-F-2865) Root number 600C at Morning 07:00am, He should be awarded a gold medal for his behaviour with passangers. I am really appriciate the Honarable minister of BMTC, Mr Ashok consern with passengers but this is the small example is how much implemented in this organization.
Daily I used to tender correct amount of Rs.4 and get the ticket from hoskurgate to Electronic city and vis versa everyday but today I don’t have change and I have ask the ticket to electronic city from hoskurgate and given Rupees Ten. The conductor (I don’t know his name) is started scolding in kannada with undecent language using harrsing words against my personal image and asking me to get down the bus in the midd of the road as of his own bus using singular language and personally damaging my immage with public, even though I am talking with respectful voice. I have try to convenice that this is the govt property and you are the government servent and you cannot behave like this with people but he don’t bother my word and ask me to get down the bus.
Is this the training are you given this conductor - is there any value for common people in your bus service - then why you writing a slogan as " why car scooter if bus is there, use BMTC bus ' why you have celebrating BUS DAY etc .if in your bus there is no respect to the common man. If you really interest to get more people in your bus service, please take the serious action.
My request if BMTC is really concern with common people, please take this as serious action and do the necessary action against the conductor and make more friendly with passangers, then only people like to travel in BMTC.

Lack of buses at rush hour
I am working in a IT company in Electronic City in Bangalore. I travel from Attibele daily. It is about 15kms away from my office. I have to reach office around 9am. I noticed that there are hardly any buses in the bus stand around 7:30am, which is the peak time for school children, college students, office goers. I have tried all possible combinations to reach bus stop between 7:15am to 8:30am, but in vain, there is always a HUGE crowd waiting for bus and hardly any bus at sight.
The buses are also not scheduled. If I see 2 buses at 8am today and try to reach the same tomorrow I don't find any bus till 8:15am. Everyday we have to wait for a long time and then come standing or literally hanging from a bus. I request BMTC to add more buses during peak hours from Attibele to Bangalore.
This is my kind request, please add the buses from Basaveshwar nagar (Havnur circle) to Malleshwarm 18th cross. in 18th cross Malleshwram so many offices are there and there are many office goers use to go from basaveshwar nagar circle.
My office timing is 10 a.m, and i daily catch the two buses to reach the office. Still there is no bus from basaveshwar nagar circle to 18th cross Malleshwarm. So please at teast two buses provide from basaveshwar nagar circle to 18th cross malleshwarm arround 9.30 a.m. I hope you take earlier action.
There are no buses from trinity circle to marathallai from 6pm which is the peak hours for office goers. There is not even one at that period of time. The buses coming from shivajinagar to marathahalli divert their route towards bangalore central instead of coming on MG road to trinity circle. This is causing serious difficulty for people travelling from trinity circle towards marathalli. Authorities kindly take aaction on this issue or please provide some alternate routes for buses to reach trinity circle stop.
Lifes Hell, at hebbal bus stop on ringroad.After 6 pm there are no buses till 7.30 p.m.for people who want to travel till kottigepalya.This is because the drivers all scoot before 6 p.m, to avoid the office goers rush and jam.At.7.30 p.m you have 4-5 buses reaching hebbal all together..On Friday 17th april 2009 An uneasy/furious mob stoned other buses.Authorities please do something.

Volvo 335E Reckless driving by Morning driver
I was riding in Volvo Bus 335E (KA-01 f3959) morning route ( boarded on 6 May 2008 7.35 am @ Manipal Hospital. I got off at Marathahalli Crossing . I want to lodge a complaint against the driver on 2 counts :
1.)Reckless driving - harsh braking, trying to overtake everyone
2.)Rude behaviour with passengers - He used abusive language when passengers asked him to go easy on brakes, probably drunk
I hope the relevant authorities see this in time and pull up the driver to prevent a major mishap waiting-to-happen
Am volvo pass holder and regularly travel from Whitefield to KBS and from KBS to Malleshwaram. All volvo bus drivers are rash and rude. When complained at control room, it is totally different story. No ettiquetts and do not permit us to give complaint, instead call police in arresting. The incident happened on June 21. tried to stop volvo at malleshwarm 11 th cross but the bus zoomed off rashly without stopping. I had to catch an ordinary bus and reach KBS. Went to control room and wanted to complain, to my utter surprise the officer incharge asssulated me and addressed as if am his slave. In spite of carrying a volvo pass i was given harsh treatment. Public gathered and were about to attack the officer but kept in distance. he was drunk on was on duty. He was shouting he will call police and arrest me. The senior officer at the control room was helpless and requeted me to avoid this and advised me to leave. The bus no is KA 01 FA 2272 - route no 276. Also the driver joined to attack me. was saved because of the public. Am 50 yrs of age and hail from army background. The reason as stated by the officer was that the said bus was to report to KBS at 8.40 but got delayed and reached by 9.30 hence, have not stopped at the stop. so what is big deal. This is purely unjustifiable. We do understand the pressure and tension but respect to senior citizen and valid pass holder, the attack in front of the public to be avoided. My Request to BMTC that the buses stop always in the middle of teh road which blocks all other vehicles. They are not giving any signal.
I travel in Silk board junction right after the flyover in front of the Audugodi police station we have a proper place for Bus stop. These buses stop in the middle of teh road which blocks cross road and direct road.
This is just common sense and dangerous spot for others. As many as 6 buses will block the road no way we can pass peacefully.
Can you instruct the drivers to stop in the designated plces rather than middle of the road.
As you know police in Blr are the spectators.

I am staying in Bangalore for the past 4 months and regularly commute by BMTC buses however the experience has been horrible so far.
Today, i boarded Volvo-356(Volvo2, ticket number00088726), near viswaraya college the conductor came to take fair and i asked him to give me ticket till 10th cross wilson garden. He said the bus wont stop there, i was surprised as for the past 4 months everyday, volvo stops there, this is the first time somebody said this. The conductor started abusing me in Kannada and asked me to get down at middle of the road. The bus driver also joined him and when i requested the conductor to speak in English or Hindi as i was unable to understand him. They started abusing me that they wont speak in Hindi or English as this is Karnataka, I quote " NO HINDI/ENGLISH, THIS IS KARNATAKA< ONLY KANNADA, GET DOWN".
My point is if the bus really doesnt stops there the he could have said politely but he abused me, he had no manners that he was talking to a lady.
On 2/5/2008, i boarded Volvo, 365 in the morning and near Visveraya college, the bus suddenly stpped and the driver got down. When we asked why the bus has stopped they said 5 minutes and it we waited for 20 minutes and when i asked the lady conductir to refund my money so that i may take another bus, she simply refused and didnot even explain why the bus has stopped for over 20 minutes.
The issue doesnt stops here as on 3/5/2008, i boarded a bus 365 from 10th cross till Majestic, Bus number FA-409 and the there were men seating at ladies section and when i requested them to get up as so many ladies were standing, none of them were getting up and when i requested the conductor, he started abusing me in kannada rather than telling the men to get up. Isnt it his duty to make sure that the men dont come at ladies section?
Also, most of the conductors dont give change and they keep it with them and if you protest they abuse in kannada if they come to know that you are from outside.
I have been reading a lot of complaints but i think no action is taken againt them and thats why the conductors misbehave on a regular basis.. Kindly take some action atleast as BMTC keeps telling people to commute by bus.
I have even gone to Complaints section near platform 1 but they didnt help me.
I am requesting to take some serious action...

Route number is 369D from Arekere to Majestic
i was traveling in that bus at that time on north indian guy was standing in the foot quote by holding his suitcase, conductor told to go inside but that guy told that he can't take suitcase inside because bus was fully rused so he was standing next to his suitcase, he did not go up so conductor bet him so that guy asked why you are beating me so conductor told i will beat like that ilself what will you do and also conductor used vulgur words to him, but surely i would like inform you that what word he used in the bus in public, so that you can know what words many conductors are using in the bus with passengers, he told to guy that " neeny ondhu appanige hutidre nanna mutto nodana " he stoped bus for 3 minutes in front of Spar it next ot Accture, so i request u to take seviour action on him so he must never use that word in puplic places or in the buses

On 1st April, 2008, evening 5.25PM . I was travelling on BMTC bus(331c) KA01, 2070 frm whitefield to marathalli. I took the ticket but my ticket got blown away with the wind. Conductor saw that happening and he said there will be no money refund . When I was getting down at the stop, I asked for money refund but he did not give money back.
Aadhar card address belongs to Karnataka only. But I applied aadhar card in my native place only so it has written in my mother tongue.
My daughter born and brought up here.what to do. If government giving free service only government should look after this thing's also. The conductor is not read the address also.
Today (13.06.2023)we have purchased tickets from ITPL to silkboard for 40/- and given 500/- to conductor but unfortunately conductor have no change on that time, so he balance payment mark on ticket back side.on last stop our mind sleeped for taking balance, kindly look into the matter for the same.

We request for more buses to virupakshapura, kodigehalli post. Right now we have only one bus 276B and it is the only one bus. This is causing lot of inconvinience. Kindly provide more buses.
Driver of BMTC bus numbered KA-01, 3609 was driving extremely fast and rash. He jumped the red signal on sarjapura signal and nearly crushed a two wheeler.
1. The conductors and drivers do not wear badges with their names on it.
2. The conductor in bus number: KA-01 F-3059, route number: 181c on the basaveshwarnagar to jaynagar 9th block route today(19/11/2010) at 9:30 morning, does not behave decently with women.
The emission certificate for the BUS # Ka 01 F 2528 of BMTC
(route number 335E) is expired in 2008(as seen in the emission certificate pasted in the bus). Someone need to take action to take care of this.

The mini bus conductor asked us to getdown from the bus saying monthly pass is not allowed, route 250 and bus no: 2719 on 20th March 2012 @ 4:30 @ Majestic Busstand.
This is not done, if they are not accepting the monthly pass then please ask them to put the board.
The behaviour of BMTC bus conductors is usually very rude towards the commuters. They normally treat as if we are not human beings but a herd of sheep or cattle - .
I daily use the BMTC bus to travel from Hoskur Gate to Electronic city and almost everyday, Today I have received very good hospitality from this Bus Conductor ( Bus number KA01-F-2865) Root number 600C, He should be awarded a gold medal for his miss behaviour with passangers. I am really appriciate the Honarable minister of BMTC Mr Ashok consern with passengers but this is the small example is how much implemented in the organization.
As this driver I have do not know his name - I used to tender correct amount of Rs.4 and get the ticket from hoskurgate toElectronic city and vis versa everyday but today I don’t have change and I have ask the ticket to electronic city from hoskurgate and given Rupees Ten. The conductor is started shouting and asking me to get down the bus in the midd of the road as of his own bus and using bad words and harsing words without respect using singular language and personally damaging my immage with public, even though I am talking with respectful voice. I have try to convenice that this is the govt service and you are the government service and you cannot behaviour like this with people but he don’t bother my word and ask me to get down the bus.
Is this training you have given this conductor - is there any value for common people in your bus service - then why you writing a slogan as " why car scooter if bus is there, use BMTC bus ' why you have celebrating BUS DAY etc .. To get more people to harrass or what ..? Is there any motive to customer service, customer satisfaction etc in BMTC.
My request if BMTC is really concern with common people, please take this as serious and do the necessary action against the conductor and make more friendly with passangers, then onlly people like to travel in BMTC.

I am a regular traveller of BMTC from Corporation circle to Vijaya college, Today morning around 8.05 am i got into a bus KA 01 - 1369, 12 B from corporation circle, I could not take the ticket since the conductor was standing back, i was siting in front seat just behind driver, near to lalbagh main gate he came and asked me for the ticket, I gave 5 rs. he threw the 5 rs ticket down. later he came back and asked for another 2 rs extra. i asked him what is the charge from corporation circle to vijaya college, he told me its rs 7. and started scolding me and ddnt give me 7 rs ticket. i am not from karnataka so i cant speak in kananda fluently. pls take immediate action regarding this.

Drunken BMTC drivers
Last week I saw BMTC driver drving bus fully drunk.When I complained to conductor he scolded and said its none of my business.
Bus was coming from Hebbal to Banashankari-at late night.

I completely agree with this. Some of the conductors will sit next to ladies only even if other seats are empty. If anybody has any contact for complaining about this (phone/email id) please share it here. It would be a great help.

Today i.e 29/12/2008 i reached bangalore at early morning 4:30, and very much glad to see that bus service was still available at that time.
I took bus to sreenivas nagar Bus No 45, KA-01-F-1451, The bus was almost full and i was in the last seat. By the time when the bus reached Chamrahpet circle conductore came to me for ticket, till than no passengers had get down from the bus.
I gave him 20/- for two tickets which costs me 10/- per ticket, but the conductore returned the change of 5/- and i was surprised, for a while i thought is it a new year offer, but it was not so, he told 15/- he charged for without ticket that means that amount is for his pocket, he has did the same for all, he gave the ticket only on demand other wise no ticket.
On an estimation approximately 40 were travelling in that bus
If minimum charge on 40 is 10/- ( With ticket) and he has charged 7/-(with out ticket)it means 7X40 i.e 280/- per trip is for his account. which is non account to BMTC.
This is not the first time it had happend to me but this for the first time i am writing tio you.
Who will take care of this

I boarded bus no KA 01 F 2135, from vijayanagar which is 60 series bus.I wanted to go to jayanagar.Bus actually goes from vijayanagar to till jayanagar 9th block.It was very rush in the bus and till 5 stops over from vijaynagar, the conductor dint come to give the ticket.I saw her sitting at the last seet of the bus and chatting with one of the passenger.It was very rush and I could not go to her and collect the ticket.After 6 stops she came to the front door.And started scolding in slang language for not taking ticket till 6 stops.I request you to either increase the bus frequency so that we can go and collect the ticket or through out the conductors who does not do their duty properly.Jai karnataka.Jai bharat.
