I accepted a policy with Biberk on 3/31/22 I asked to cancel my policy on 4/5/22
I accepted a policy with Biberk on 3/31/22 I asked to cancel my policy on 4/5/22. Unbeknownst to me their were two separate policy numbers one for business owners insurance and the other for umbrella insurance. After noticing that Biberk was charging me way more compared to its competitors I submitted to have the policy cancelled on 4/5/22. I attached the COI for the new insurance that I switched to. I later found out on 4/29/22 via email that the account had not been fully canceled only the umbrella. It has been a rollercoaster to have them cancel the policy. I spoke with a representative named Shakirah via phone on 4/29/22 where she asked me to send her my cancellation directly and that they would back date it for the original cancellation date of 4/5/22. I followed up with her via email on 5/5/22 and heard nothing back I called on 5/10/22 and spoke with a representative that said my information was lost and had not yet been filed and that they would process it and it would be canceled here in the next few business days and not to make a payment as they will be able to backdate the cancellation request. I received an email on 5/11/22 saying that due to non-payment they will cancel the policy on 5/26/22. I emailed on 5/25/22 heard nothing back but received an email stating that policy would be cancelled to non-payment. They held the policy period from 4/1/22-5/26/22 and only cancelled it due to non payment although I sent in a request to cancel it months ago. I sent an email on 6/21/22 and have yet to hear anything. Ive tried calling several times the phone just rings or answers to a person to help you with purchasing insurance. Biberk is great for getting the COI to you but when it comes to cancelling a policy I definitely get the feeling that it is not top priority. I have no idea why the policy has not been cancelled until there's a non payment notice. I've had new coverage since with *** since 4/4/22 Why is it so hard to cancel our policies?

I received a quote from Biberk on 2/7 and after receiving quotes from other companies we decided to go with them
I received a quote from Biberk on 2/7 and after receiving quotes from other companies we decided to go with them. I paid on the 8th of February $*** and policy started on 2/9. I let the insurance agent know that I needed a Form E for the state of ***. He said he noted it in the system and that it would be take care of in 24 hours. My husband called the state of *** office on 2/12/22 and they still have not received the Form E. I reached back out to Biberk in which I was on hold for 45 minutes and they had told me it was sent and I had told them that the state had not received it. So he told me that he would let them know to send it again. Called the State of *** on 2/22/22 and they still had not received the Form E, so I reached back out to Biberk in which I was on hold for another hour. The gentleman Joseph had said it had been sent out 2 times and I let him know that they still had not received it and we had to have it filed by 2/28/22. He spoke with the filing team and they said they would send it again. My husband reached out to the state of *** again on 2/25/22 and they still had not received the Form E. I called Biberk again on 2/25/22 and this time I was disconnected 3 times and finally after 2 hours I spoke with Joseph again, but this time I asked to speak to a manager, supervisor, or someone in the filing department. He told me they were all off that day and he was the only person that I could deal with. I let him know how urgent it was to get the Form E to the state and he just said all he could do was email the team and give them 24 hours. That was not enough for me after dealing with them this past month I will be finding a different insurance company. After today the state has not received the Form E and Dan from Biberk reached out last night to get the information from us to send the form again, I asked him to reach out to me when sent, he has not. Spoke with Biberk on 2/28/22 and was on hold 2 hours.

I started my business Worker's Compensation policy with BiBerk on May 1st
I started my business Worker's Compensation policy with BiBerk on May 1st. The policy is valid till May 1st 2022. However, I received an email in Jan 2022 about an endorsement of $***. I wrote to customer service to enquire details about this. I received no response from them. I called the customer service number concerned about this large amount. I find out that BiBirk had sent an email about an "Opt Out form". BiBirk will increase the premium by including officers, even though I had never requested this policy change. If I had not responded to opt-out, Biberk would increase my premium to $***. I expressed that the inclusion of officers was not necessary and that I would return the form immediately to ensure the premium would not be charged. The representative then advised that the email that was sent would have expired but assured me that it was no problem and that they could send me another form. However, they were not the correct department to do that. I was transferred to another department, who then also told me they were not the correct department. I put down the phone, frustrated that I had been transferred to department after department, put on hold for a very long time and had no real help. I emailed customer service to ask for the form to opt out and expressed again I was not interested in the inclusion of officers. I had no success with Customer Service responding to me despite the many follow ups from Jan to Feb. In Feb I was charged the $***, an auto-receipt had appeared in my inbox. I called to complain that I did not want this. They assured me they will send the form to me, that all would be put right and that I would be refunded. They did indeed finally send the the form, which I immediately completed and sent back. A couple of weeks later I receive confirmation that I will receive a $*** refund. I called customer service and escalated to the Supervisor. There was no apology and advised that the forms were not received on a timely manner.

Refusing to pay claim sent threating letter in responses to our letter.
Following is the email sent to BiBerk on 9/28/2022. (This email is in response to a letter I received from biBerk Insurance dated 9/14/2022, in which I received yesterday 09/27/2022. As you can see from the attached letter, biBerk (Raj Shiwpal) is stating that they are still waiting for 1- updated estimate from the independent adjuster, 2 - cause and origin report from ETI Global, and business income calculation from TD. Davidson. This incident occurred on 8/3/22, close to 2 months ago. Our organization has made contact with each of you individually. EFI global (Chris Palmer) office (Charolotte) stated that she emailed their findings to biBerk (Raj Shiwpal) on 8/26/2022. Engle Martin stated he sent his estimate to biBerk (Raj Shiwpal) who clearly does not have any of your paperwork (See Attached). Our organization has been extremely patient through this difficult process and seems as though we are being lied to from all involved. Therefore, we are demanding a resolution to this matter by 9/30/2022, or we will be forced to report each organization and file a complaint regarding this matter to the Better Business Bureau, Federal Trade Commission, State Department of Insurance, the National Association of Insurance as well as file a complaint with biBerk Corporate Executive Office. As an organization helping US Veterans and paying our insurance on time, we deserve better treatment than this. I personally emailed the Fire Departments Investigative Report (Cause and Origin) to Michael LaBrada at Engle Martin. Rather than work to fix the problem, on the following week I received a retaliatory letter stating that they would no longer provide insurance nor any of their affiliates would provide insurance to our organization). BiBerk being owned by Warren Buffet, I took their letter as saying we are going to Blackball your organization from getting insurance because he has ownership in a lot of different companies. That scar tactic only moved us to seek professional help when needed, to protect our non-profit organization against this insurance threat. Sept 29th we received a call from Raj Shiwpal (Rep)'s manager Chalmer Barnes guaranteeing he would assign the file to Amanada for resolution. Amanda called with a very nice demeanor on 9/30 stating that she was sorry for the delay and an advance would be processed and sent the following week. Never received a call nor advance. The next call we received was from Raj on 10/7, again stating an advance will be requested and sent the following week. Never received a call nor advance. He stated an investigation was on going and they were trying to speak to the person who started the fire to see how they could recoup the money. I explained to him that Shari L. Conner, SCLA Sr. Claims Examiner from Philadelphia Insurance Companies had been trying to reach him in order to reimburse Biberk for any claims paid due to the fact that they represent the company we lease to. That company U.S. Vets excepted responsibility for their veteran setting the fire. Raj refused to call them back but rather would to use up time to try to find the veteran who has since been incarcerated for Arson. He also stated sometimes it takes more than 4 months to pay out which would put us right at the time they want to cancel our policy. This to us means they have no plans of sending anything, rather they will try to wait until it cancels out. I would encourage BBB to do their own investigation to see how many other claims are going unpaid do to this way of avoiding settling claims. It seems to be a high-end ponzi scheme where Warren Buffet is stealing monthly payments but when it's time to pay they run time out and cancel you.
Desired outcome: Pay the less than $70k claim.
Billed for a second location when changing address... after 2 months and over 7hrs on the phone with a dozen people; they seem to be adament on not correcting the issue. Now getting certified letters to pay an inaccurate bill or be forced to cancel so they collect a 30% premium fee for early cancelation.
