I was accused of being rude to the staff
My complaint is with the staff, I did have another complaint included to the manager but I feel like they can handle that internally without corporate:
I feel like Biolife has caused me so much stress, blaming me for not being able to train their people right. I will not have that. This was out of line the way I was treated and I want an apology from the staff member that complained as well as compensation for spending almost 30 minutes arguing my point when I was clearly in shock and blindsided by the whole thing, I didn’t even donate because I was so upset. This is a business, nobody is there to make friends and the fact that they are trying to cover up what was done to me by saying I was rude is not OK.
I sent the following to the management:
I was in this morning, we talked about the note on my file that I have had about not being nice to a trainee on Tuesday 5/3/2022 when I came in at noon. I am the tall foreign girl that broke down crying during that conversation. I honestly cannot let this go for several reasons:
1. The fact that what you were told was not correct
2. That I was put on the spot and had to deal with this issue when I signed up in the morning, and that the lady that [censored]ed my finger was expecting me to not be able to sign up and told me “I need to be seen first.”
3. That the same lady, was abrupt, when I complained on Tuesday, and didn’t even let me finish my sentence, but turned around to call the manager.
4. The manager not mentioning anything about my alleged rudeness, nor showing empathy or compassion, when I was explaining what had happened.
5. The fact that I had developed anxiety because of so many issues I had in the past 3 months at this location, and that the first time I have a complaint is when I am suddenly rude to the staff and the trainee.
a. I have never been rude to the staff. I was abrupt when they wanted to change my arms after the 3rd ‘adjustment’ this Tuesday, because I could still feel the needle in my arm every time I was pumping, but I was already so late that I said to the woman: “It is fine.” It was not fine clearly, but that does not make me rude. I have certainly not spoken to the trainee at all. Matter of fact, I was present on the trainee’s first day when he was shadowing, and I was super nice to him and to the lady that was training him.
b. The fact that that I have mentioned they could get my veins just fine at other location, so my veins were not the problem.
c. Not a single person cared that the trainee was shaking so bad, to the point where I was actually scared and nervous myself but that did not matter, nor did anyone ask me if I myself was OK.
6. Like I said, I am not a complainer, but when I finished they could not ‘complete’ the donation, because somebody that did the adjustment had to ‘sign off’ on it and one of the workers left a scanner under my coat on the seat so when I moved, it dropped on the ground, and I even apologized, but they just told me ‘I can go.’ After that I asked to speak to the manager because I was upset.
7. I did not use cuss word, was offensive to the workers, nor the trainee, nor was I using any inappropriate language to communicate my grievances.
8. And lastly, I was so upset by this whole experience here that I was made to cry. I could not even donate because I was so upset and how it seemed. Even on my way out I dropped my meds I am prescribed, and some nice tech ran to me telling me I dropped blue pills which was so embarrassing, and I was beyond myself.
Desired outcome: Refund for the Coupon and An apology from the staff

They never have enough people. I have been here 25 minutes and there is one person checking people in, slowly. I understand once in awhile but everytime should not take 3 hours or longer. They have it set u so it doesnt show that it is taking that long but it is. Also if the machine goes off there are more people that will not adjust the needle. I can donate in 53 minute and did for 3 yrs and know once I finally get back there it is still taking me hour and a half to two hours because I cant get them to adjust the needle. They say the return is good but pushing blood in is different then pulling it out. They just keep turning it down, there are some that will adjust and fix the issue but very few... This is a good facility and was really a great experience to donate but to be honest it is getting down right to hard to donate.. I dont understand if they are short handed why the ones sitting in the office or the nurses dont help check people in. Just wanted you to be aware that some things need to be addressed in this office
Desired outcome: schedule changes so it doesnt take forever to donate.
Pay
The center has a sign saying for the month of may the payout is 20 for the 1st and 80 for the 2nd donation for the week. The app has 20 and only 75. The manager Tyler at the Janesville Wi center said there is nothing he can do about it if the app is 75 then that is what I will get.

I’ve tried 3 different times to donate. Is it your policy to make it so challenging to do so?!? Is been over 2 years of this. I’ll go to a different organization to donate. Started in 2020 twice and just today 5/1/22 same location too in Henderson, NV
Saying that you qualify to come back for a physical and then turning you away
After they said I had to have my doctor fill out forms to qualify to give plasma and after I went back twice they still turned me away for no reason at all and wasted my time and energy and gas money. I eat incredibly healthy I exercise I don't drink I don't do cigarettes I take very good care of my body and they turned me away. Yet I sat in the parking lot and watched a woman light up a cigarette. If you're going to give blood or you're going to give plasma take care of your body so that your blood legitly will help another person. I find it very hypocritical their practices and they encourage people to lie. There are those of us that try to do right in life. There are those of us who do take good care of our body and do not lie. It is very irritating that they encourage you to go out and have a breakfast of eggs bacon and white bread which is not even healthy for you but when you eat a healthy protein bar they tell you it's not good enough. I find them to be very hypocritical. They tell you to drink sugary drinks to bring up your electrolytes.
Desired outcome: I want compensation at for my time and my gas

BioLife plasma donation located on 3131 East Greenway Prkwy Phoenix AZ 85032
My name is Cristopher B. Robinson. I have two issues with the above mentioned location. A week ago on 4/20/2022 during my pre-screening,the technician registered my heart rate was elevated 128 bpm. I have donated at this location close to 100 times so I know my baseline bp and bpm. I ride a bicycle so I have learned that I need a 20 to 30 minute cool down once I arrive before proceeding with the pre-screening if not my heart rate has been to high at 109/110. When the technician told me it was 128 bpm, I was concerned. I asked if he was sure because my bp was nominal. I did the 5 minute time out but it was still to high at 109 bpm. At this time the technician said I could reschedule for the next day and I left. The following day I was unable to schedule a appointment through the app. It kept saying I wasn't eligable. I went to the donation center expecting to clear this glich up and donate. The manager approached me walked me into a unoccupied office shut the door. Without any explation no specifics no paper work she informed me the SHE had deemed me ineligible because the technician said I had been "rude". I was completely suprised by this because nothing like this had happened. As I said that technician advised me to reschedule for the following day. The manager had no interest in hearing what I had to say. She then said there was two other similar events in my file and that I had been spoken to about this before. This only added to my disbelief because nobody had EVER spoke to me about anything like this. I attempted to reason with the manager. I estimated 100 donations at this location factoring in 3 interactions with employees each time which comes to roughly 300. I dispute the acusations however 3 negatives out of 300 is hardly a pattern of "rude". behavior. I'm 58 yrs old, the younger generations have become so easily offended but I asure you I wasnt rude to that young man nor was I rude to the manager. This isnt fair to me nor is it proper conflict resolution procedure. I was "canceled" for being rude end of story. I also should have recieved a bonus for a referal. My friend completed two donations prior to this but I didnt recieve the deposit. When I inquired about the bonus I was told I wouldnt get because of my ineligable status even though I should have already recieved had there not been a unexplaned to me delay.
Cristopher B Robinson
Desired outcome: Reinstatement for donationsRecieve referal bonusA reveiw of the deeming ineligable process. Loosing this income may have serious consequences to the donor. It should be treated as such.

First time coupon
My coupon states 8 donations for $900..Today, my 5th donation they said the machine had not filtered out all the blood and since it was the 2nd time this had happened I would need to wait 8 weeks..Since there was a time requirement of 30 or 45 days I asked how that would affect my promotion...She said since it exceeded the time on the coupon it would be void.. How does your defective machines waive my promotion fee?...That time requirement needs to be waived...

Desired outcome: 150$
Unclear process of holiday closure which affected amount of compensation
The email received indicate the promotion for compensation with incorrect date for start of the week at the center I go to donate. It maybe a generic email sent to all donors from all over the U.S, but I think each center should customize it based off of their own business hours and days.
An explanation regarding closure for holidays should be provided to donors that are affected by the closure. In that, they know that it would start the week over because of how the center counts the start of the week which would then affect the amount of compensation they would receive because it doesn’t continue. For example , you might donate towards the end of the week but because the holiday falls on that date, you would have to donate the next business day, but because the center has a specific day that they are normally closed, instead of receiving the bigger portion of the compensation you start all over at no fault of your own. Unfortunately, I had to experience it to truly understand their compensation process. Some donors, like myself, rely on the bigger compensation because it helps offset the rising gas prices we are experiencing.
Next time the center is closed for the holiday, please include an explanation of the process so that the donors already know what to expect.
I just wanted other donors to be aware. When the promotions or advertisement indicate 2 successful donations within the week, it’s within the centers week, that’s just what it means, regardless of holiday closure. You will have to start over with the compensation. You will receive the smaller amount of compensation twice because you’re starting over a new week.
Desired outcome: If center closed at no fault of donor, continue the compensation as the second donation. I feel cheated
Damage to my arm
On 4/20/2022 I had a appointment with Biolife at 5:55pm. My complaint is that the process caused harm and discomfort to my arm. They staff on site stuck the needle in my right arm and knew that it was hurting me and tried to reposition it but it was still hurting me. So then they decide to get me off and return my fluids. However they knew something wasn’t right with my vein but they decided to put fluids into my arm without supervising my arm. Once they started putting fluids in me they left and my arm and shoulder started to hurt. I tried looking away to distract myself from the pain. It felt as if my skin was being pulled tighter and tighter. I then glanced at my arm and a bubble under my skin that was the size of a golf ball. I had to alert the staff by waving them down because my groans weren’t enough for them to notice. One of the staff said I had gotten hematoma level 3 and when they wrapped me up they told me I was done. My arm is still sore from the instance and I feel that I was not accommodated enough for what happened to my arm. Back in January I received hematoma from the same facility and it made a bruise the size of a softball on my arm. All they did was give me a coupon that would give me more money in my next visit. However I don’t want to do that now because I don’t want to return to a place that causes my arm this pain.
Desired outcome: I just wanted a simple procedure to be done to where no pain was caused. However this is not the first time this has happened. I believe I should be compensated for the damage.

Hematoma
I went on Monday morning to donate plasma. I usually go twice a week with no issues. I usually only donate with my left arm and have had no issues with that arm. I went in right as they opened and the guy who was to start the process started trying my left arm. He seemed to just be rushing and not really taking his time. For about FIVE minutes he kept repositioning his needle and everything. He then gave up and tried the right arm. He barely took time to find my vein at all. He then started putting in the needle and spent about another FIVE minutes repositioning the needle. He finally got it but it just didn’t feel right. I moved my arm a bit and it felt better so I didn’t say anything cause it’s normal. After about 10 minutes of the machine going my cuff let out it’s pressure and the pain started growing. It felt like something was in my arm and trying to literally claw its way out. The pressure was so so painful. I then called the guy over but he couldn’t be bothered to stop what he was doing (retubing and empty station) so finally another person walked by and stopped the machine but he wouldn’t take out the needle. Finally the guy took the needle out without saying anything then walked away. A lady stepped up and was actually finally talking to me and telling me what was going on. This happened on a Monday and it is now Wednesday.
Desired outcome: An apology and compensation.

Primo codes
I had a promo code prior to checking in but screener wouldn't allow me to wait for it to come up on my phone. As soon as I logged out of the BioLife wifi it came up but screener was too busy to didn't enter it. And now it won't count towards my donation today. I have to donate today in order for the coupon code to count. First successful donation has to be done today.
Desired outcome: Enter the promo and make it count for todays donation.

Banned for life
I would like to share my experience with my Biolife center here in Bellingham, Wa. I have been a pretty regular donor for over 10 years with well over 600 plus donations. In the last month I was deferred for a donation one day because it was brought to my attention that a letter of approval was needed from my Dr because of my age. I will be 66 in May. I...

I have been donating plasma for years on & off sometimes policies change & I can be absent minded or unable to remember exact details. I had gotten a tattoo a while back I was certain it was 3 weeks you had to wait after you had gotten one to donate. I had waited much longer than that to go back. I had told a nurse that I had gotten a newer one & that they...

Well I had went to biolife today 04/19/2022 to donate. I was considered a new donor and went in for my physical when they pulled my social in the system it said deferred. I had no idea of what that ment. They took me in to one of the medical rooms and said that in 2009 I was put in as a permanently deferred donor. They said all they could see was for...
Read full review of BioLife Plasma ServicesEmployee not listening to donor concerns
Employee said she was a supervisor but acted as if she wasn't knowledgeable about how to find a veins in left arm. She continued to stick me and then stated the vein wasn't strong enough. Then went over to my right arm and wanted to stick the needle in same spot as my last donation. I asked her not to do that and try another vein on the right arm. Employee said I wouldn't use any of the other veins in my right arm. So I put my finger over that spot and she refused to listen to my concerns about not sticking a needle in same spot because it was still sore from the last donation. She refused to listen to my concerns because I would not allow her to use the same vein and she couldn't find another vein to use. My visit today would be a non payment. I will never come back here and donate. Employee was rude and unsympathetic even when I said no she was still going to do a needle stick in prior donation site that was still sore. I got up and left the
donor area and wrote this complaint while still on site.
Desired outcome: None bad review and will tell others not to come here to waste their time to donate and not get paid because employees don't care and don't know their job.

Rudeness
I have been donating for 10+ years here and I can only remember a handful of good visits. To start with the people that work at this location are rude and clicks. For instance I would see 3 people be disconnected before I would and I was there before them. The moment I say hey I thought i'd be next the [censored]s that poke you get an attitude and find management and then you have to explain to them how long you been waiting and what you saw. 90% of the time they turn it around o. You and say your the one out of line... I don't get vocal usually but when your treated like garbage everytime you go in its not worth it. On top of that fhey pay like [censored] and their reward system is horrible. Also the feeling after the give can be draining and life sucking. Sanitation there is also lacking. Overall I would suggest other ways to make an extra buck because this place is a joke! Never going back and also will be reveiwing wverywhere often! Get the word out about this horrible place!
Desired outcome: They close!!!
Deferred from donating plasma
I was deferred from Donating Plasma and accuse of things that I didn't do. I've been donating plasma at BioLife Greenwood since 2017 never had any issues on April 14th I was stuck twice and adjusted 3 time a made a complaint to the supervisor Jayme who was very rude and unprofessional I then spoke to someone else about her. On April 15th I was deferred from donating plasma accuse of bad behavior and name calling... And that is false I've never disrespected anyone they were upset because I complained about being stuck twice and if I did anything then it should be recorded
Desired outcome: I would like to return to donating

BioLife plasma services
Not necessarily a complaint per se but more to the effect of fare thee well. Having a master's degree in economics and part of a group studying consumerism I give my condolences to biolife plasma services for their loss of monetary income. Their bookkeeper or whomever has decided that dropping the price from $100 to 80 alternate weeks will make them more money. My group got together and we decided unanimously that you will lose 16 to 18% in revenue for non returns. I don't know how they're doing their math but we are very good at it. Expect closures on numerous facilities and again I wish you the best of luck but you need to fire whoever made that happen. BioLife plasma services has decided that corporate profit overrides the consumer and more importantly and most importantly the individuals that need this plasma to help alleviate or eliminate the woes and pains of those that I myself donated constantly but it was never for the money. I give the money away. But BioLife services should always remember that human beings should always come before fat paychecks. Farewell BioLife plasma services and by the way once enough facilities close then they can rename corporation bio- death(sorry that's economics humor.)
From $100 alternate weeks to $80 alternate weeks. I guess the sick aren't that important compared to huge amounts of revenue right
Donor / wait times
Good afternoon.
My name is Jerry Burch. I'm a donor at your Woodruff Rd branch. This plasma center has left me VERY disappointed and disheartened. A few years ago, BioLife was planted in our community. The efficiency in which they operated was so impressive that I began referring people. This changed months prior to the pandemic. We began experiencing one or two people screening to get the process started. This leads to unbearable standing/waiting before you even get to the line to get a bed. In my industry, we encourage customers to voice their concerns so that we may potentially improve. I decided to start voicing my concern with BioLife (always cordially), requesting additional pay for longer donation sessions. This ultimately led to me being BANNED today after, once again, voicing the same concern on my last donation (this past Saturday)... my appointment was for 11:20, but didn't get stuck until 1 hr 39 min later. A narrative was created when I was informed that I was banned. The manager stated that he was told that other donors complained that I was a disturbance, when in all actuality, they were in agreement with me... which is what I believe prompted this action. I've read reviews on BioLife (please check them out)... you have a GROWING contingent of people that share my same concern. I now see why they don't say anything! Is anyone in our corner? Help... I'm being encouraged to go to our local news channel, but I hope that this can be resolved with you.
Desired outcome: Re-instated, and apology.
