Budget Suites of America charges rendered for services not provided and advertised services not available

I have been a guest here for 6 weeks as of tomorrow. Upon check in I asked to rent a microwave as advertised on the website. They had none available and said they would the 2nd week. They did not. I called for it the 3rd week and the attendant asked me how long I would be staying because they did not like to "issue them to ppl who weren't staying here for a long time". I was unsure so I asked about it again the 5th week. Then they took my payment for the microwave rental, but in the same visit told me I was unable to rent again (past the week I was in the office paying for) because I had an unregistered guest "living" with me. I do have a frequent guest that I have since registered, but that is an entirely different complaint I will submit. Now that it is settled, they no longer have microwaves again.

Also, upon moving in I was charged a fee for HDTV. I did not notice the re-occuring charge until the 3rd week. I was never told I was going to be charged and do not want HDTV, so when I called, the attendant told me that everyone was charged that fee because HDTV is in all rooms now. That would be fine, except it is not advertised anywhere that this is the case, nor did the attendant (Rose) tell me this upon check-in when she charged me. The irony of this is that my tv has not had HD service since the day I moved in. Maintenance has been here the 1st and 4th weeks to work on the tv. They actually changed out tvs and still no HD. When I told the attendant that it was probably the cable, not the tv itself, she (Gina) rolled her eyes at me and took the charge off for that week (4th). I was still charged the first 2 weeks and never re-imbursed. My tv is still not in HD.

Upon checking in, I only registered one person to be living here bc I was the only person who would be living here. My boyfriend helped me pay for rent several of the 6wks I have been here. Rose, the attendant, informed me that if that changed, that I would need to register him as a guest. She also told me that BSA does not rent to or allow guests that are felons. I was impressed by this policy and still stand behind it.
Over time (by the 4th wk) my boyfriend started coming over more due to a change in work schedule, though I am still unsure wither he has actually stayed longer than the 24hr period that requires someone to be registered. Regardless, when I went into to pay for the 5th wks rent (I do not think this was a coiencidence that this was the wk that taxes on rent are to be returned) before leaving for work, Adria, the manager informed me that I needed to vacate due to an unregistered guest. This was AFTER running my credit card for the upcoming wks rent. I informed the manger that he was not living here and that I truly didn't believe he had been here as long as 24hrs any of the times he had come to see me. She said he had been here too often never the less and that I had to go within 24hrs. I believe that because he has helped me pay, the workers just assumed he was living here without simply asking what the situations was. I asked why she had let me be charged for the upcoming week and she said then I could vacate at the end of the week or have him come in and register. Uncannily and unfortunately, my boyfriend had misplaced his ID at the shop he works in. When I told her this, she got very rude I assume because she thought I was lying, which is understandable now that I see what type of tenants she must be used to dealing with here. When she then told me I need to vacate again as soon as possible (which is very vague), I brought up that this was the week taxes were to be returned to my account. I also inquired as to why she had waited until my 5th week, AT the time I came in to pay, to inform me of this issue. She then hesitated, so I reminded her I was going to be late for work and we agreed to further discuss the issue at a later time- which I thought was reasonable.
I went into the office day after next and she was not there, but manager Perry was. He is the only employee here that has been kind AND professional. Rose is not really too kind, but at least isn't incredibly rude. The rest of the people here have treated me like I was the plague.
When I discussed everything with Perry, he said that I needed to bring in an ID for my boyfriend within 24hrs or I had to vacate at that time. The whole 24hrs thing is very stressful when I didn't know where to go, as my money was tied up paying here (there is a reason the word budget is in the name of the place) and also because I work a lot so timing is sometimes an issue. When I explained the ID situation to Perry, he told me a valid paper ID would be suitable. I asked him: if my boyfriend could not get an ID within 24 hours, what would need to happen? He said that my boyfriend would simply need to leave and not be on property. I asked if I would need to leave as well and he said no. I left the office and returned the next evening with a copy of my bf's ID that we borrowed from his employer. None of the managers were there and I do not know the name of the attendant who ran his background check, but she seemed to be unsure about information she was reading on the computer. She then stated that she was unable to rent to us any longer! I asked why because there is no felony on his record and she simply said there was nothing else to tell us except that they would no longer rent to us. Shocked, we left the office, but confused I called back immediately to see if I was missing something. She confirmed that I was not and that she had not found a felony offense on his record.
A microwave was finally to be delivered next morning (an entirely different complaint) and so I called the office to let them know not to bring the microwave since I had to vacate. Adria answered so this is when I asked her why I had been originally told that it was a felony that would stop someone from renting there- when my boyfriend did bring his ID and was not a felon and we still had to leave. She did not have an answer for me, but she did offer to re-run his information and look at it personally to make a decision. She stated that she would call me back. She never did. I went to work and called back the next day and there were no it managers available, so today I called and the attendant Gina answered the phone. I inquired about the issue and she informed me that no notes were left and no decision was made, but that my boyfriend and I both had to leave! When I told her what Perry and Adria had said about deciding after looking at his background check, she told me that she did not agree with their decision to do this and she was going to inform them as such. She also said that I had to leave as well, even though Perry told me different. I do not know why this person was so extremely rude to me. I do not know her, nor does she know anything about me. I also don't know why she would directly inform a guest that she did not agree with her own managers decision about allowing me to continue to rent. I asked her to call Perry or Adria and she informed me that my issue was not significant enough to call them on their day off. When I inquired about whether I should come in and pay for the upcoming weeks rent today before work, she told me that I could come in and pay, but that I had to vacate at the end of the week. This is before talking to either of her managers about my file specifically. This indicates to me a high level of prejudice. So I'm going in now to pay and see if I can either get reimbursed for the microwave fee or actually get a microwave this week and I will speak to Perry or Adria (hopefully Perry) when either returns to work and see what decisions have been made. I have caused no problems, nor has my partner. We are not loud and I have stayed within the rental guidelines of Budget Suites to my knowledge- which is coming from the rules sheet I was given when I checked in.

I was informed today that I now have to Pay the HDTV fee because the tv is an HD tv, but that the cable is analog. So even though I am not getting actual tv in HD, if I "hook up a VCR or anything- that will be in HD. So it's still HDTV." I asked Adria didn't she "think that was is little.. ehh.." She informed me that she doesn't make the rules. Funny, I thought that's what managers did, and then why did she approve the fee removal the couple of weeks that I didn't pay it? She also informed me: I had to vacate today or at the end of the wk, she was telling the GM she didnt agree with his decision to let me rent there as well, and that she never told me she would re-look at my bfs ID paper.

I asked why she didn't agree or why we couldn't register him and rent? The answer was bc he and I are still dating so she KNEW he'd still be there and weren't going to be running around on HER weekends chasing us. Then why not just tell me I had to vacate when I called about the microwave installation? Why was I still here renting, uniformed that I (nor my bf), couldnt be here along with a proper notice to vacate? Very stressful and confusing. I would like to stay at this location BC: 1.) it is so close to my work, 2.) I no longer pay a much higher rate that includes taxes, 3.) I've settled and am finally in a position to save $, and 4.) I've actually enjoyed my stay here- excluding the complaints and parking of course..
The room was clean.
The price is right.
Location is awesome (for me).

My issues were "not important enough" to make a quick call to the GM on his day off today. Strange, because I call my GM for guest relations issues Often when he is not there, per his request.
The saga continues..

On a side note, Rose told me that back taxes were to be returned after the 5th week, not the 4th and that they would come there to the office for me. I happen to work at an extended stay hotel in the area and this is not the policy of any other hotel accommodations that I'm aware of. The place that I work has a policy of applying the back taxes to the account of the guest AFTER THE 4TH WEEK (A MONTH) versus what I was told here- that the back taxes would come in SEVERAL weeks in the form of a check that I would need to pick up. I was also told when I went to sign the form to get this check that I was unable to complete the form and have it sent in until checkout. Due to the issue above, I do not know what my checkout date will be. I CAN say that none of this is standard practice or policy at any other place that I know of. I fear that in accordance to the other complaints I have found online, that this location is a scam and they are trying to keep the taxes and $200 deposit any way that they can. I hope I'm wrong

Budget Suites of America I never received my deposit

I lived at 8150 N. Stemmons FRWY #G1089 for 6 weeks from the end of Feb. to the Beginning of April. The lady in the office said I was going to receive the taxes I paid on the room and receive the $150 deposit I had to put down on the room. I never received any of that. I call the office and nobody wants to talk to me. They always put me on hold and never return back to the phone. My name is Laci Johnson and I was in room number G1089. Budget Suites of America mailing

I need Victor the manager to send my mail back to the post office so I can receive my packages I am tracking. He will not let his staff return my mail. I moved out Sun April 1 2018. I lived here with my 2 sons. I have had nothing but harrassment from Victor since Dec 30, 2017 and when I could move he immediately had me locked out during my move so some belongings were locked behind. He bugged me for 4 months every Sunday which was my rent day asking "Are you moving out this week. When are you moving? I need you gone." I had rented there for a year. Although, my surroundings were not in the best conditions I kept to myself and my sons didn't cause any trouble. I would like my deposit and my back taxes for renting more than 5 months but I received neither. On Dec 30 2017, my ex kicked the door and was trying to get in so bad with such rage that I called the office then 911. Gppd came and when they asked Victor if he wanted to press charges they said no and the ex was still allowed to live on property. The CO even helped him get a basket apparently he left there while I worked nights my 11 yr old had opened the door for him. I had no idea he even knew where I was. My sons didn' t tell me either. Also, Victor didn't have the door repaired right away so I had to place a chair to hold it close. No one came till next day Dec 31 @ 11:30am to just put screws in it so it would close. Why didn't they do that the same day? I mean I could not sleep because I was worried that the ex would return to cause me harm becauae he was enraged that I called the police.
Then come to find out the lady below me who was there a week told me she saw him on property. Victor and he were speaking and laughing about who knows what.
Victor should not be running any property.
I need my mail forwarded. The tracking on my products say they have reached Budget and yes I did an address change but these were already mobile coming from China.
Forward mail to post office so they can deliver to me. 4144 Gentry Dr. Dallas Texas 75212.

Budget Suites of America management unethical unhuman behavior and treatment

I Christine Houston have been living at the budget suites of America for almost a year and a half. Today is February 8th 2018 this occured at 12:30 until 2:00pm. I pay my rent on time faithfully I do not cause any disturbances or problems. I stay to myself and work everyday. I had totaled my car (Pontiac grand prim) about a month ago and I had moved it and parked it on property in a parking spot in the rear of the property in-front of my hotel room I asked the office manager of the property for more time to move my car until I had the money (when I pay rent, when I get paid) and she agreed to let me have until Wednesday to have it removed from property. My mechanic ran into some issues causing a delay and when I told her of this she said "That's not my problem its yours, my problem is making sure that the non-running vehicles are removed from property" I also I informed her that "I had already paid for and had a tow company on the way to get my vehicle" she then stated "why would you do that when I told you I'm not going to tell them to not take it" I literally begged her to give my tow company 20minutes to arrive and she very rude replied "no there are towing it" and hung up on me when I replied to her "well thanks I guess ill be contacting corporate office"... even the there are literally 6 to 8 other vehicles on this property that haven't moved in months before my car was totaled and parked and their vehicles are still on property not being messed with at all. Its sad that I have to endure this lose cues of a humans decision to take anther's property

Budget Suites of America bed bugs

I stayed at the budget suites on rancho in Las Vegas from the end of September until end of October 2017 while we were waiting to close on our new house. While my boyfriend, my 7 month old baby, and I were staying there my daughter kept getting red bumps all over her. I called the office and told them and they sent maintence out to spray the room. After we moved into our new house we found bed bugs in our bed, I went through our entire bed couldn't find anything so I thought maybe it were just one and then some time would go by and we would find another. I finally got so tired of it that I called an expert bed bug exterminator. He came out to our house and found bed bugs in our bed frame, and in the baby's pack and play which was the original source of bed bugs. The pack and play was the only thing besides some clothes that we took to the budget suites with us. We bought the pack and play right before we moved to the budget suites so we wouldn't have to take her crib and we did not have bed bugs before we went to budget suites. The exterminator said he can pin point the time frame just by how many different spots they have moved on the pack in play which is exactly when we moved into the budget suites. This is a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE thing to have to through. My poor 6 month old baby has been getting eaten up by bed bugs for months because the problem was not taken care of properly when we were there. We now have to through away a $3000 bed because of this now! The emotional distress that I alone have gone through not including the rest of my family is also horrible and I pray that no one has to go through this. I didn't know much about bed bugs before but now I do and spraying alone does not kill bed bugs! And I do believe this company knows this but chooses to take the cheap route out of properly exterminating bed bugs.

Budget Suites of America a/c not working

Been here since Dec 29th. A/c hasn't worked since we been here. This is the 5th a/c unit in the living room either they freeze up solid or shut down and just doesn't work. Get hot in apartment specially after dinner cooked. Paying good money and would like a/c problem resolved. We're at the 3655 w Tropicana las vegas budget suite. Room 1133. The bedroom ac has no problem I don't know why the living room a/c has such a problem.

Budget Suites of America refused services

In December of 2016 I was refused a room and I had my nieces and nephews and my grandmother. I understand there are policies forbidding felons to stay in your establishment, but I'm disabled from stroke and I was trying to keep my family warm. I did my time for possession of marijuana and it seems that I'm not yet through serving time. I made that mistake 10 years ago and I still have to deal with it daily. I have stayed with family at your establishment on Forrest Ln in Dallas, TX. That was one reason I wanted to do business with you all, but it was a cold night of bundling together in a truck. I hope you all will work on your policies to better serve your paying customers. I thought that my paying in cash was the problem, but later learned that a handicap felon was not welcome in your establishment on I-35 in the marketplace district in Dallas.

Budget Suites of America bedbugs

I am currently staying at lake mead rancho location and my unit has bedbugs not only did I tell management but they refuse to move my two children and myself.. management sucks by the way.. they tried to get me to sign an agreement to of 3 days comped and that I would go after them legally. I don't think so.. my children and I now own nothing everything destroyed and I have to move for the safety of my children... I have reached out to attorney and the news anchors I will tell this story until. And get this they still haven't came to treat room.. lied and said I didn't give them permission to enter. how dumb is that why wouldn't I! thank you for screen over a single mother. I won't stop until this is resolved.

Budget Suites of America stealing customers deposits

I stayed at the Budget Suite on Rancho Dr in Las Vegas on 11/10/2017 and 11/22/2017.
I had to put down a $450 deposit the first time and $425 deposit the second time. I stayed in the hotel/apartment for one week. I checked out and they told me they would mail my refund within 2 weeks. I called, went up there and even spoke with Sue, April, and a slew of others liars saying they mailed it. I told them, I have been waiting over 5 weeks for my money and I have read about how they keep people's money but it is Christmas how could they steal on Christmas. Sue apologized said due to the holidays they are running behind on returning deposits but promise she was mailing it that day. Oh and she wish me a Merry Christmas.
I called back a week later they still lying saying they are mailing it. What kind of heartless person would take people's deposits and continue to stay in business. These people are crooks and they will continue to steal our money until we band together with a lawyer and sue the [censor] out of this company. I am sure they have stolen millions from people and they are sitting back laughing. Shame on these [censor].

Supposedly, now, they didn't take taxes the first month, so, none owed back and when I lived here before, they didn't take a deposit?!

Did you ever receive your deposit back? I’m dealing with this same situation right now, it’s been 8 weeks and the management is horrible I’ve gotten the runaround for weeks and apparently nobody knows the number to corporate.

Budget Suites of America the asst. manager at forest ln. location has wanted out since the first day we came

she is rude.and very disrespect.and has a miss use of power.we are late on are rent she said to us that she does not want us here.and is charging us late fee plus a extra day on top of that.she does this all the time.we always pay are late fee so why does she charge me for the extra day too.if you could fire her.retrain that woman with her cos.service.she has none.

Budget Suites of America above neighbor

My family and i are currently staying at the Phoenix location 611 w. Indian school rd. #269 for months now the above tenants have a tendacie to wake up around 10pm -3am making noise and what not ive broaght this to the managers attention many times and seems like nothing is getting done about them soley because they have been here for awhile i am going on 1yr here with my family i complain they stop only for a moment then start back up again i dont know what else to do thank you for your time.

The new manager had on more than one occasion use her key to come into my apartment without permission even when I was home and she could have knocked. The maintenence also have keys and don't knock and just walk in while I am taking a nap on the couch. I am a woman with the kids and having a someone just walk into my apartment to me is wrong when we asked...

Budget Suites of America stealing deposits

These people are crooks! They misrepresent their prices and then on top of that, they never return your deposit they say they will "mail" to you. My wife and I stayed there when she was visiting from England. They said it was $209 for one week but when it was all said and done, we ended up paying $309.66! Then to top that off, they never returned our $30 deposit, even though we left the room cleaner that it was when we moved in. The manager there, some guy named Dan, was so rude to me on the phone that I finally hung up. He gave me a number and told me to call "corporate" course the number he gave me was nothing more than a dummy number with a computer message that says, "enter your code". I have filed a complaint with the BBB and the Attorney Generals Office, as should anyone else who has had this type of treatment or been ripped off like we have been. These people who run this hotel need to be held accountable for their shady business dealings and rip off scams. DO NOT STAY THERE!

Prices are normally quoted as + tax. You are entitled to an itemized list of all charges. It is common now days to charge fees such as key charge, phone charge, pet charge, or whatever, that you would think included in advertised price. Yes, $209 + tax + miscellaneous charges can be $309 at any hotel/motel. I would stay there, because good accommodations at $300 a week is a real bargain.

Budget Suites of America disgusting condition of unit

Stay away from this company.
Suites for Rent published pricing is False Advertising, and misleading. Posted price of $$ does not state nor mention additional fees for A. Internet. B. Flat Screen TV, resort fee's ( This is far from a resort)
A. Condition of unit was in the lowest level I have ever witnessed in over 55 years of travel. Upon checking in called office regarding mattress cover, condition of carpet, rusted sink drain and overall dirty condition of floor. David the Manager ( refused last name ) stated they are not responsible for any linens. This is a mattress protector furnished on all units. I was charged for internet service. No service after the 3rd day of a seven day stay
Upon close of phone conversation, visited the office and talked with David. He flat out refused to replace mattress cover. Said the room was in pristine condition ( pictures taken ) and upon request of a change of room stated their were no rooms availble absent an upgrade of over 100.$ per week.
Requested non smoker room then stated Budget Suites do not offer non smoking Units. I then asked to cancel the contract within 3 hours of checking in, informed BS required 48 hours cancellation, and a check would then be processed which is up to 30 days.

This rude conduct by the Manager, David is beyond that which I have ever encountered. With unsavory characters sitting in the lobby walking up to the desk to discuss this with David the Manager in an attempt to intimidate me. How childish and scam oriented is this operation.
I have stayed the entire contract time, due to time restraints on my part, and appointments. I have spread the word at every opportunity regarding this operation and shall continue on U Tube, & Facebookl
In addition, because of the attitude and the encounter during my attempt to cancel, voided my Credit card so as no additional charges could be charged.

STAY AWAY FROM BUDGET SUITES. LAS VEGAS

Budget Suites of America internet service

$5./wk for internet service doesn't seem like much. Other area hotels charge $5. per stay, or include it free. The free service at Starbucks, down the street is faster. The service here at Budget Suites of America in North Phoenix is horrible. Page loads take several minutes and 8 out of 10 times TIME OUT! Some times it takes me a half an hour just to pull up my email, or just get to google's search page! With the proliferation of laptop computers, it is estimated that this hotel location takes in a few thousand dollars a month for internet service. And yet they provide to cheapest level of service available from the local cable company. That seems very greedy and thoughtless. This is the worst internet service I've had, ever. Worse than dial-up. With most web pages filled with flash elements these days, old hardware and service that was once adequate is now obsolete and poorly inadequate. Shame on you, Robert "Buck Rogers" Bigelow. Wise-up and do the right thing. Increase the bandwidth of your internet service here. Taking in so much money and providing so little in return seems quite greedy and selfish. Perhaps you are unaware. I dare you to come here with your own laptop and work for a day on this garbage service. You would be amazed. I hope. PS: It took me almost an hour to post this complaint!

Budget Suites of America I got kicked out of my moms room by the manager just because I wasnt on her ®istered list& then she got kicked out for complaining about

I would never ever stay at a budget suites again because the manager came by the room because he thought that my mother didnt pay, when in fact she did 24 hours in advance before it was even due, so then he found me sleeping on the couch and he kicked me out because i wasnt on her "registered list!" So then she called the office to complain about that and they told her why they came by the room so she told them that she did pay but they kicked her out to just because she was complaining of what happened!
