Count me in! I am already suing them in Albany small claims court. My number is+[protected].
Where do I sign up, who is the attorney handling the case and contact info. They contacted me after looking online for best prices for moving van such as U-Haul and Budget so my family and I could move from Arkansas to Seattle, WA. they made a great sales pitch and were cheaper than the U-Haul van we were going to rent then it all changed the pick up date was suppose to be July 5th then they said due to DOT shutting down the truck it was moved to the 12th then they called back saying they could not find anyone to pick up our load and they had already taken $470.00 for the contract I told them that would not work I had to be in Seattle for my job on the 12th and we had to rent a U-Haul and put our belongings in a storage building then budget van lines called saying they had someone that would pick up the load but it would cost us an extra $200.00 we agreed then they picked it up from the storage building on the 20th of July and the truck driver called my wife the following Tuesday saying that it was much more than he was told he was picking up and the price was more than double the original price $4200.00. I told him to just leave it in the storage and I would move it myself he then told me he was in Minnesota and no longer in Arkansas. Budget Van Lines has not returned any of our calls and when we did get in touch with them all they wanted to do was refune the $470.00 WHAT ABOUT OUR WHOLE HOUSE LOAD OF GOODS, we don't know where it is at this point.

hi my name is George Gomez i would also like to partake in this law suit against Budget lines. Several my belongs were damaged, stolen, and lost. So i would love nothing more to sue this unprofessional & unfriendly company. my email Green_skull88@yahoo.com please contact me with further information.
I just moved Budget Van Lines to transport my items. I wish I would have found this information first. This is by far one of the worse companies I have ever come in contact with. The only other is the company they hired to move my items. A&E First Choice Moving Transportation. Budget Vans gave me a so called binding estimate that didn't mean anything because them or the carrier they hired honored it. I am still without my personal property and cannot get anyone to even return a phone call and tell me where my things are. They Doubled the price and now has disappeared. Budget Van Lines has done nothing to resolve the matter. They are rude, they hang up on you and even the managers don't return a phone call. I feel totally violated, stressed and sick wondering where my things are. Please listen to all of us warning you. DON'T USE THEM! I hope you find this advice before and not after.
I AM SO IN PLEASE TELL ME WHAT I CAN DO NEXT! This moving company that has completley screwed me over, I am missing parts of items that make the item obsolete, as well as full boxes and bags. I am missing a couple of large items like a full desk, the movers ramed their dollys into our wall so there is marks on our wall, they refused to re-weigh our things since it was a sunday and there was even a box that was razor bladed open. weird...I think this should be a criminal case, there liability is 60 cents a pound but they never informed me of another way to insure my property. They are now saying a whopping 170 bucks will s ettle it, I think not. Do I have a case? Plus they estimated me at 1300 and now I paid almost twice that to get my things.
I am in the process of getting F#$%^& by them. I am being charged an extra $450.00 for storage after my items were picked up by 67TH AVENUE LOGISTICS INC 5303E 47TH AVE UNIT N DENVER, CO 80216. The initial contractual agreement with Budget Van Lines included the first month of storage for free and $140.00 for each additaional month. Let me know how I can be of assistance to you and let's achive a collective benefit.
I am suing Budget Van Lines and their contractor for their "Bait and Switch Scheme" and predatory advertising practices. What started out as a weight based moved at $2, 600.00 quickly turned into a $4, 300.00 non weight based move. I was told by Budget Van Lines that I would receive a weight certificate before the truck was loaded and after so I would be charged by the pound just for my belonging. A to Z movers, Budget's contractor, showed up the day of my move without a weight certificate claiming they don't operate that way. They stated they were an all inclusive moving company. I was stuck and had to be out of my house that day. I paid A to Z Movers the total amount in full that Budget Van Lines quoted me. My belongings are now in transit somewhere. The worst part is, after my belongings were loaded on the truck and in the possession of A to Z Movers I was told that A to Z Movers would most likely hand my belongings off to another company along the way. They are expecting me to pay another $1, 800.00 in cash at the time of delivery. This would make the cost of my move more than double the estimate Budget Van lines gave me. The kicker is we don't even know the total weight of the freight. I even in good faith emailed Budget Van Lines ahead of my move to advised them to increase the weight because I realized I was adding a few extra boxes and wanted to be fair. I was told at that point, again, it was a weight based move and I would pay at the final destination for the overage. I had a gut feeling they low balled the original weight estimate to get my business. I was assured the estimated weight was more than sufficient but they did revise the estimate upward as I requested. Bottom line, I want a judge in a court of law to take a look at this transaction and get an honest legal opinion as to what my liability really is . I also want the legal system to address their business practices. I moved a 633sq foot studio apartment from Mid-Missouri to Seattle Washington. Nine months earlier I moved a 3, 300sq foot house from San Francisco to Mid-Missouri with a Hertz truck rental by myself. I passed through many weigh stations and know how much the weight was. That move I accomplished for a fraction of the cost. It shall be interesting how they explain this. I'm willing to pay what I originally agreed to without a doubt, be it 1000lbs or 5000 lbs. I'm not trying to cheat anybody nor do I . I also will not be taken advantage of. Email: oneupsf@icloud.com
I am going to either join a class action suit or sue budget van lines and VIP moving myself. The experience was hideous and needs to be stopped. Sincerely, Suzanne Sitlington ssitlington@gmail.com
Horrible Company. After esigning contract they took $1355.28 from me And then started saying they did it wrong so needed me to esign a second contract which i would not do.. I said i cancel give me a refund because i was also being told it was not Only weight based but Also inventory based now. Then they sent me a 3rd contract which Again i said no (even on 3rd contract they left messages on my phone that they still forgot some charges?) so again i told them And emailed them that i was canceled.. So they weré calling my Mom asking her to esign it for me, very unethical. No movers came because I canceled but the cancelation lady said no refund of my $1355.28 because that was their broker fee then she rudely hung up on me while i was still talking. So no services received, they weré unethical And rude! While i am out all that money. This was the Las Vegas branch.. Thx, Sonja. ajnos29@gmail.com
I would also join this lawsuit. Budget Van lines did not disclose that they were a broker not an actual moving company. The carrier then charged me an extra delivery fee of $300 that I had no idea about. I feel so taken advantage of. nerissaminnnick@gmail.com
My experience was also terrible. Cost extra, items were lost, terms were not met. I wish I had not ever called them.
They ripped me off too. The email you have here are not showing up. It says "[protected]@gmail.com". How do I see it? How do I join the class-action?
Not sure if this is still an ongoing issue, but I tried to move using Budget in 2011. I got a quote, they told me they had a truck going to Missouri on 3/11/11. They took a deposit on my credit card, showed up with a truck 3/4 full of someone else's belongings and told me that my belongings would be rerouted to a 'safe' storage somewhere else until they found a truck going to Missouri. I was not happy, as I didn't want my stuff to go into 'storage' anywhere but was expecting a direct delivery to Missouri as was discussed on my quote. I cancelled the move and tried to get my deposit and the money Budget billed to my credit card since they did not follow the agreed upon discussion. I tried to dispute it, but was denied. This put an extreme hardship on me as I had to move and I was going from Nevada to Missouri. They had me over a barrel and I lost out money. I'm very happy I did not let them take my stuff to storage as I heard many issues from other people that allowed Budget to move them.
I am in the process of using Budget van lines for my move. It has been the worst. I am still trying to get my furniture from them and it's been a fight every then I take. Any advice ?
Help I am having trouble with them and getting my belongings.
We are held up in Georgia, coming from Florida, on way to our new home in Kentucky because Budget Van Lines had promised to move the previous owners on Sunday. It is now Wednesday & we were scheduled to arrive & take over on Monday. Budget has offered excuse after excuse & again has promised to be there today, Wednesday. Is this a class action lawsuit for the previous owners & is against Budget?
