Hello
I ordered a cheese burger, fires and 4 chilli cheese bits in Burger king
9-10 O’Connell Street Dublin 1 Ireland Tuesday 22 August at 5pm. When I went to pay I realised I forgot my debit card so I said I would be back within 5 minutes. When I got back and paid €8.20, my order was sitting on the rack waiting for me. I tasted the chips and they were not hot enough for me, so I asked if I could have hotter chips. The person who serviced me said my order had been prepared and there was nothing wrong with it. I said the chips were not hot enough and could I have a hotter portion. This was a small bag of chips. He pulled the bag of chips out of the bag and almost threw them into the microwave. I said I did not want chips from a microwave. He said no and that was it. I said I wanted to speak to a manager, he said he was the manager. I said, you call this customer services and then said, I am a customer and you're saying you won’t do what I ask. He said no he wouldn’t because I wasn’t ’nice’ to him!. He then said twice you can go and complain about me if you like to head office.
So was he suggesting he would change the chips if I was ’nice’ to him?
When I asked him first to change the chips, I did ask nicely but when he started to argue with me over a small bag of chips I got a bit annoyed. He was hostile from the moment that I would not accept his initial response. His attitude was a disgrace when he took the chips out of the bag and threw them in the microwave.
Of course, judging from his behaviour on the day, I’m sure he will say it was all me. The bottom line is, I am a customer and I asked for a hot bag of chips and was not prepared to take a bag that he had thrown with attitude into a microwave.
I took the chips out of the big bag, put them on the counter and walked out.
As he a manager I am presuming this complaint won’t go directly to him in the O’Connell Street Dublin branch.
Desired outcome: This person should be approached about his behaviour to a customer. No matter what he says, he should be told not to annoy the people who pay his wages i.e. the public. He is unsuitable to be dealing with the public.
