On Friday 10/6/2023 we went to the Fillmore, UT Burger King. The website showed closing time of 11:00, however at 9:40pm when we arrived there they informed us that they close at 10:00. I asked if we could still eat there and they said yes.
At 9:58 the workers turned off all the lights and at 10:00 came out and said, "10:00, get out!". I asked if we could have 5 minutes to finish up while they started cleaning. He said no and we needed to go. I am traveling with my 80 year old parents, my mom has dementia. He was absolutely rude and insisted we leave right then. The workers had friends sitting there who also jumped in on the fight stating how corporate wouldn't do anything about this matter and how disrespectful I was being. He then threatened me, called me a rotten name and flipped me off.
Even with all this happening, me and my parents were out of the building by 10:07, without a fight we would have been gone by 10:05. Not one person was cleaning up and they were all out smoking. The two friends were waiting by our care when we went out.
Most fast food places shut the doors so people no longer order, however not turn off the lights and tell you to get out in such a rude, threatening manner.
We absolutely felt threatened and not welcomed whatsoever. I have never seen such a thing in my life at any restaurant. I am sure this is what they do to people every time they close and feel like it should be addressed.
Desired outcome: Manager contacted and made aware of the employees on that shift. Possible discipline of all those employees. However, I would like feed back as to what is being done about it. I am also calling the store manager today.
