Bought a Brand New 2021 Gulf Stream Enlighten with defects
We bought a Brand New 2021 Gulf Stream Enlighten in this Camping World Newhall, CA last Aug. 29, 2020. We are a first time buyer of RV since the pandemic began we thought this is a better idea to spend a vacation with kids and family. We wanted to buy a 2nd hand because we thought that we will not be able to afford and expensive brand new Travel Trailer. And when my daughter saw this 2021 Enlighten in Camping World that only cost $18, 990 we went there to see it and was encouraged to buy this because we felt that it fits perfect to our family of 5. And the amount fits in our budget and most importantly its Brand New and we thought that we will not be having any headache and problem. But after a month since we got it when we went to our first camping trip we noticed that the exhaust fan is not working and the outlet on the right bed side is not working and the air conditioner is not getting warm. Then the fuse started to blows off and since then every time we go camping we have to replace the fuse because its busted. And my son in law notice that the both axel of the Travel Trailer is bend which is not normal and not supposed to be like that. So we called them and scheduled us to bring the Travel Trailer to be fixed so my son in law brought it on October 16 and left it there for almost 3 weeks and they said that it will take about 2 to 3 weeks to be fixed but when we tried to call them after 3 weeks they said that the parts hasn't arrived and told us we could just get it first and then just return it after our camping because we have scheduled camping on November. So after that we returned it again on December of 2020 then we left it there for more than a month. When we call to follow up they said that they still haven't fixed it because they still need to order the parts again. We all know that the warranty is only 1 year and its already February 2021 so until now since we also have schedule camping schedule we really needed the travel trailer because there is no use to keep on returning it to them and asking them to fixed it but they are not sure now that if they could fixed it for sure.. we felt that we bought a lemon and was ripped off because when the warranty is over they could charge us for all the parts and labors now... and for us who expect that buying a brand new one will not give us a headache now is are thinking a different thing.
Desired outcome: Fixed or replaced
Unethical behavior & lies
This is my 2nd time writing a complaint on here and still nothing has been done nor have I been contacted as to an update on our camper. Camping world of Dothan Al has had our brand new camper since Nov 4th and they have not even began the repairs yet it is now feb 12 and we have not missed a payment this entire time and we are getting the run around every time we actually get in touch with someone. Its the same story we are waiting on the warranty dept. Well Im tired of waiting and not getting to use our camper that yall were so eager to sell and also do some shady stuff on the financing to even get us in it. Now its like the 3 grand we put down on it and the 400 a month we pay is just money wasted. I have this fear that when they call and tell me its ready I am going to drive the 2 hours there and it still not be fixed just like happened the last 2 times I drove there. I have spent 14 hours so far driving back and forth and still have no camper. I have taken time off work that I really didnt have to drive over there.. I dont understand why its so hard to just say man the camper we sold yall is messed up and swap with a new camper. It would be the only right thing to do! My 3 daughters sleep in the bunk room next to where this water leak is and if the walls and wood under the tub are not replaced there will be mold and I dont know how yall feel but my kids are not staying anywhere they could get sick. attached are the pics of the water coming from under the wall and pics of the water damage. We told them about this problem in July when we bought it and the last time they said it was ready we went to pick it up they couldnt find a leak and didnt see any water damage until I pointed it out then they were like oh Im so sorry I didnt see that.. I mean come on they guy blue taped it and documented it when we dropped it of.
Desired outcome: Replacement of Camper
Camco rv cover
We purchased an T01 Camco RV cover for $544.97 and a warranty for $219.99 from Camping World in November 2019. The cover ripped so we replaced it and had to pay another $219.99 for a new warranty in November of 2020. Now this new cover has ripped and is disintegrating all over the front in less than 3 months. I'm not sure how these covers can fall apart in...

Bought a 6 figure DRV. Had many items noted on PDI and a great many more before warranty expiry. Turned them all in. Got complete run around for three years. Hired an attorney and went to mediation. They were supposed to repair coach but started to back peddle as soon as mediation was over. We opted to settle for $25, 000 which was how much the atty cost us. Most issues were never addressed. At one point, CW had our coach for three months and they knew full well we lived full time in it. The most major issue was our drivers side slide would come out while we were driving down the road. I spent 18 months trying to get help. Not one word from any of the 5 people I sent emails to. Not even in mediation. No one ever addressed this situation. I have all emails to prove what I am saying is true. I filed an official complaint with the state of NC in Feb, 2020. I was number 45 in less than 5 years. This is outrageous.
Desired outcome: We want them to take the coach back.
2018 heartland mallard camper / service department
To whom it may concern: November 15, 2020
We purchased a Heartland Mallard Camper in late February of 2017. Since we had purchased our previous camper at Todd's RV and were very happy with the experience we thought we would come back and try Camping World of Hendersonville, NC.
First of all our credit wasn't the best at the time we needed to upgrade, so our parents decided to finance it for us. The office staff was aware of this straw sale. It was pretty obvious since our parents are in their late 70's and early 80's walking with canes, and never stepped foot in the camper before purchase. Within weeks of purchasing the camper the bedroom began to leak after raining. The service department was made aware of the issue but only asked if we had sealed it. Really, it was brand new off your lot.
They told us to bring it out at the end of the season and they would do a thorough check on it, along with sealing in places if need be around the hot water heater and fresh tank. Needless to say they did not look to see if the wall was rotten or floor from their negligence.
In the summer of 2018, now 1 year old the water heater caught on fire. We did find out that it was under warranty so we headed back out to the service center to meet with Autumn the service advisor to get things started at that time we discussed that we would like for them to go around and do re-sealing on the camper and to wash it for us, that we would pay for these services.
It took them from late October till March to complete a new water heater repair. The service Manager kept telling us that they could not get the parts in for the repair. In March we came to pick up our camper. After waiting about 1 hour to 45 minutes for them to get the camper the service advisor (Autumn) did not do a walk around at all she just handed us the keys and was gone.
When arriving home we walked around the camper and noticed the side had been damaged. We automatically notified Camping World and were given the run around by Service Advisor Autumn and the Service Manager. We hooked the camper back up and drove it back 45 minutes back out to Camping World. The manager wasn't very nice to us and could not explain why there was damage to our camper. He said he would order the parts and repair it within 2 weeks.
We asked at that time if it could cause permanent damage like leaking. He said it looked cosmetic only. He did not even offer to us to pull out the slide to look it over. 2 months later we went and they literally reassured it was fixed. Still scratched they had replaced a molding piece and that was it. Come to find out this year, they had placed a piece of repair tape all the way across the slide out where it had been damaged to prevent or what they thought would prevent leaking, that did not help and the side of the camper is now bowing out.
The cable in the slide out broke and the motor came out of the wall. When we called camping world once again Autumn promised to get us some help to our campground and 4 weeks later she has still yet to contact us.
By this time we needed to pull it out of our camping spot and store it for the winter months. So we contacted private repair company (Appalachian RV Repair), they came out to do an estimate on the damage and they immediately noticed the floor damage that was overlooked by your service department. We are absolutely 100 % sure that these damages to our camper with the slide out and the rotten floor that has since weakened the walls was due to the negligence of the Service Department at Camping World in Fletcher NC . The two men that estimated some of the damages on site said the cost would be around $8000 to repair along with the cable and motor and replacing top of slide out where it was ruined when the cable broke.
We totally believe we have been wronged. We have only owned this camper for 3 ½ years with only issues from your company or the manufacturer. We believe that you should be liable for the damages related to the damage your staff created to our camper. The quick fix they provided only put a band aid on the problem. Now here we are stuck with a camper that is damaged and costly. We would love to know how you propose to take care of this.
We completely do not think that this should be our responsibility and that you should go above and beyond to help us in this situation. If it be your offer to put us into a new camper or to pay for the costly repairs.
We still have payments to make on this camper and we will continue to do so with Bank of the West.
We do intend on taking further actions if you feel that it is not your responsibility or that you are not willing to help us with the neglect of actions and damages that have occurred to our camper at your facility in Fletcher NC.
Thanks for your time,
Joel and Amy Hensley

My fiance and I went to Gander Rv (Camping World) and purchased a 2021 model camper. While setting the camper up we found one of the seals on the slide out ripped out the wall and there was water running out from under the wall of the bathroom. We contacted them and was instructed to bring it back for repairs. We did as told and was contacted saying it wa...

Sales and service
2019 Wildwood Heritage Glen LTZ, we traded in our Open Range light (which we liked) only because we wanted a bigger bed (King size). So we went to Camping world in Pittsburg PA. Our sales guy sold us on this Wildwood Heritage on how great they are. We left there with our new 5th wheel on February 20th 2020, before we left they were having trouble with one of the levelers. So we took it out on our first camping trip, what a disaster! The first thing is we turned the water on and the sink in the kitchen started leaking (we tied a towel around the leak and kept turning the water off to prevent water from leaking everywhere) also the water in the shower was spraying everywhere, the skylight in the bathroom was cracked too. The Dvd player would not work. We have two a/c's and only one was working, slide going in/out was scratching the floor, the locks ono the outside would not lock at all, when we had a really cool night the heater stopped working and it was 42 degree's when we woke up in the morning. The worse thing of all after 24 hours the toilet stopped working! No water at all, it was a nightmare trip! I can't even tell you how bad I wish we were in our Open Range with no issues!.. This 5th wheel is beautiful and I thought I would love it but now it is back in the shop for more repairs! It rained one day on last camping trip causing water to leak through the living room slide, again the ac is not working and the speaker outside one is not working, sky is still broke, one of the living room slides does not come in right. Also on our first time picking up camper from all the repairs someone stole our leveler! We put the camper in on 9/18/20 for repair and we called all the time to get a final date that we could come and pick up the camper. They told us to pick it up unfixed if we wanted it. The reason we wanted to move this along is because we paid for storage and we had to have it in storage on the 15th. So now because it's still in the shop we will have to pay for storage elsewhere or leave it in the lot at Camping world! I mean I had to call Forest River myself and when I did they approved the repairs immediately, and we are still waiting for our camper to be repaired. I don't even know what to say except I want a different camper! Why should we have to lose out on time and money to get another camper! I'm so upset over this I just don't know what to think. Please advise and let me know something. Thank you for your time! PS you can notify Camping World of Akron Ohio to see how many repairs have been made.
Ordered a patio mat on line last august, paid for with paypal
Since August I have called customer service at least 4 times and have had several on line chats. I was originally notified that the mat was ready for shipping on 8/21/20. On Sept 13 I was told in an online chat that it had been confirmed that the product had been received in the Bakersfield Warehouse and was ready for shipping, and I would get a call when shipped. Same story during an On line chat on 9/14, again said they would confirm shipping and call me back. That was the first of many promises to follow up and call back that were never kept. 9/29 still no return call or product, called customer service spoke to a person named Diamond (?) who confirmed once again the product was in the warehouse and ready to be shipped. She was gong in contact the warehouse and call me back. Once again, no call back. After all of the attempts to contact customer service for help I get the feeling that no one really cares. Pretty sad to say, but not one single call was ever returned. I just want the mat that was ordered to match one I bought at the store. Is there anyone who truly cares about customer service and that would have the authority to contact the warehouse and get this shipped? Remind you once again, I bought and paid for this last August and have received not received one return call or email in response to my requests for help. Serious question, does any one even read these requests?
Service at the Valencia Camping World has always been poor, now finding out that ordering on line doesn't seem to be any better. Would appreciate it if someone would atleast make an effort to return calls and offer to help. I really need two mats. if this order isn't going to be filled I would like a refund for the product never delivered and return the other mat that I purchased at the store so that I can go elsewhere to get the two mats i need. The courtesy of a call back with resolution to the problem would be apprecieated
2019 forest river cherokee alpha wolf 26 rl-l
I purchased this unit brand new a 2019 Forest River Cherokee alpha wolf 26 RL -L model on December 31st 2018. within a few weeks of owning the unit The galley tank started leaking and damaged the underbelly cover. Contact at camping world of Chattanooga where I purchased the unit from and told them the issue. but because I live in pigeon forge Tennessee and they're in Chattanooga they agreed to cover the diagnostics on site by a third party company and once everything was approved by warranty for repairs it was done by mobile company out in my area. well a few weeks after the repairs are done for the galley tank my black tank started leaking with the same issue. Turns out when the tanks are installed at the manufacturer whoever installed the under valley covered drilled the screws that held under belly cover up drill them into the connectors for those tanks in two separate locations.
Contact the camping world of Chattanooga again and when I purchase unit from they agree to come pick it up transported there fix and bring it back to me after 2 months of back-and-forth they never came and got it and so I went through camping world of Knoxville. arrange to have the unit towed over to them gave him a few days to look at it and figure everything out that was needed for warranty work. Picked it back up brought it back home and then a few weeks went by they ordered all the parts took it in gave him a week to fix everything and they never had the black tank replace they figured they could fix it but they didn't even attempt to fix it.
And installed the new underbelly cover sloppy and uneven and only the front half was replaced despite being approved And them sent the whole length underbelly cover. I told them that was unsatisfactory and they agree to get it replaced because they already had it approved by Forest River for replacement under warranty. well fast forward a few more months to a year now and the repair still have not been redone and camping world of Knoxville keeps sending me around in circles and the Marcus lemonis helpline is useless they didn't do anything but tell me bring the unit back in to look at it for the 4th time now and diagnose a problem that's already been approved and paid for by Forest River under warranty.
as many of you probably already know and I learned the hard way camping world is a very sketchy company. And I could tell you wholeheartedly avoid camping world of Knoxville and camping world of Chattanooga at all cost! They're service managers at both areas why do your face lie in an email and don't want to honor their original agreement. Sad to say camping world lost another customer, that's if they even care because they already got my money for this unit and sold me a lemon.
Now thanks all this I don't trust a word that comes out of their mouth and all I want is my unit fixed correctly the first time around now rather than taking it back and forth!

Took my Rookwood fith wheel into Camperworld in Pooler Georgia Jan 1, 2020. No battery power to the main fuse panel. Service manager insisted I needed a new inverter. I said there was no power to the inverter and that could not be the problem. They removed my capture plate on my sliding hitch and try to pull the unit into their service bay with a tow motor. However the brakes were looked and they cut my brake release cable instead of hooking up a power source.
The problem was a reset switch under the fith wheel arm.
They charged me $ 188 to fix the brake and manually reset the switch. When hooking up the trailer to the truck I did not notice that the capture plate had not been re installed. The hitch spun around and went right through the tail gate of the truck and I am looking at $ 3, 000 in damages. Campers world position is that it is my responsiblity to insure that everything is in place before hooking up the fith wheel. I say that's BS. As Jay Leno says when I have a problem Itake it to the professionals, thats what they do. These guys are totally incompetent. I would would recommend that no one go there for any service work.

We purchased a 2018 Keystone Laredo 5th Wheel at the end of April 2019. We have had some problems with the unit. The latest problem is the slide out is leaking and Camping World where it was purchased will not return our phone calls so we can be directed as to what to do to solve this issue. The RV has been leveled and that did not fix the problem. We have...

I notice the same with us we had our brand new camper in the show to be fixed for almost 3 months give or take some days and they did not bother to fix many jobs but pretended that's why it took so long their extended warranty program they lie, same with many of the staff. They promise but don't deliver... our dealings were with Calera, AL.
Dealing with the corporate office they came off thick as thieves, bending the truth and playing brain games.
And trying to contact Coleman enterprises to do something becomes we are not the vendors and the run around continued.
In the end, we paid it out, the cost of the camper, it is not worth dealing with thieves and liars who in Camping World do not see themselves accountable for the amount of money you spend either buying or to the bank finance company. Yes, we got dumped with a let's say secondhand new camper that needed fixing from day one.
Good Luck but never deal with the camping world again and that's what I tell other camper uses who got the same issue.
