We received a call from capital vacations for an owner meeting in our hometown since they were going to be there. The meeting was on 9/27/2023. We had the presentation and them meet individually with Capital Vacations Rep. The Rep came in and explained that they wanted to talk to use about consolidating the maintenance fees. The rep explained that our current maintenance fees would go to over $17,000 per year if we did not agree to the new terms. I told them lets see the numbers, they bring out a sheet that they wanted us to pay another $25,000 plus a down payment of approx $2200.00, but they showed our maintenance fees were going to be about 2100.00 per year going forward, but wait, the fix for this is to give us additional 100,000 points per year. We were told that we can sell the extra 100,000 points to cover the cost of the new maintenance fees. What the company was really doing was selling us another 100,000 points. This is a scam tactic to get people to purchase more points, NOT consolidate maintenance fees, as the fees are still going to be present and a much higher cost.
Desired outcome: I would like Capital Vacations to purchase our current contract back as this company can now longer be trusted.
