Cardinal Heating and Cooling is the real deal when it comes to A/C companies
Cardinal Heating and Cooling is the real deal when it comes to A/C companies. Unlike other companies, they don't try to trick you with a cheap "packaged unit" that ends up costing way more than advertised. I stumbled upon their website on *** and boy, am I glad I did!
I gave them a call one evening last week, and to my surprise, they were able to install a brand new air handler and condenser the very next day. Talk about fast service! I opted for their three ton TRANE system, which only costed me an extra $100 compared to the other guys who were selling Goodman.
I must say, I'm impressed with the quality of their work. The installation was done flawlessly, and my new A/C system is working like a charm. It's such a relief to finally have a reliable cooling system in my home.
If you're in need of a trustworthy A/C company that won't try to pull a fast one on you, look no further than Cardinal Heating and Cooling. They're the real deal, and their prices are fair and transparent. Don't waste your time with those other guys who promise low prices but end up charging you an arm and a leg. Cardinal Heating and Cooling is the way to go!

July 2022
July 2022. Got a new unit from Cardinal Heating and Cooling. There's a problem though, water keeps dripping from the back of the unit. It needs to be shifted forward. I had to shell out $6,700.00 for this.
They installed a new cooling and heating system for me in April
They installed a new cooling and heating system for me in April. However, the heater ain't working. I've been tryin' to get 'em out for two weeks now, but all I get is no return calls or text. On 12/8, I finally got a text sayin' my tech never made it to the house, and this is a lie. They've set 3 different times to come out and never showed up.
The company is hard to get in touch with
The company is hard to get in touch with. I've called many times, emailed, and sent text messages. I bought a new AC unit and had it installed by the company in February . My neighbor has been complaining about the unit making noise. She filed a complaint with the HOA, and I'm trying to get the issue resolved. I want AC to honor their warranty for labor and the unit, and check and fix it if needed.

We got a new AC put in on 8/6/22
We got a new AC put in on 8/6/22. But on 8/29/22, it started blowing warm air. I've called multiple times and sent texts through my phone and on offer up, where I found the company. No reply. On 9/1/22, a tech was supposed to come out, but nobody showed up. I ended up paying someone else to fix it, and they found that the unit was low on freon. It worked for one night, but then went back to blowing warm air. The unit is supposed to have a 10-year warranty, but I can't get anyone to come and help.
Cardinal installed new ** system for my rental property earlier this year before summer started
Cardinal installed new *** system for my rental property earlier this year before summer started. The *** has been reported by the tenant with multiple issues, and it's almost impossible to get Cardinal's team to look into the issues despite making many calls. The drain line for *** was improperly installed and got clogged, causing significant water damage to the drywall, ceiling, and wood floor in the house. I had to hire another *** company to fix the drain issue, and they informed me that the *** was installed so poorly that they needed to redo the entire installation. I've called Cardinal numerous times and left messages regarding the issue, but they never responded, even though the *** was installed just a few months ago. I don't trust Cardinal's workmanship and had to hire another company to redo the installation, which cost me around $3500, not to mention the additional $30K for the restoration work. I expect Cardinal to take responsibility for the installation cost and the damage caused during the restoration.
Cardinal Heating and Cooling totally messed up when it came to fixing the leak in my brand new TRANE HVAC Unit
Cardinal Heating and Cooling totally messed up when it came to fixing the leak in my brand new TRANE HVAC Unit. They came out multiple times to try and fix it, but it never stayed fixed. The last time they came on 12/02, they didn't even bother returning my calls or texts. They promised they would come back to fix the leak, but they never showed up. This has been going on for a whopping 19 months!
I finally had enough and called another HVAC company that was recommended by TRANE, the manufacturer. They gave me a second opinion and confirmed that there was indeed a problem. They said that Cardinal Heating and Cooling, the original contractor, failed to find the leak within the first year, even after multiple attempts. Now, the manufacturer can only cover the cost of the parts, not the labor. So, I'm stuck with a hefty bill to replace the coil and fan in my unit.
Overall, Cardinal Heating and Cooling really dropped the ball on this one. They couldn't fix the leak, didn't return my calls, and now I have to pay a lot of money to get it properly repaired. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
Cardinal came out to my house in late December
Cardinal came out to my house in late December. My unit, which they installed a few years prior, was not working. The technician from Cardinal said there was a refrigerant leak, but couldn't find it and so he topped off my unit with refrigerant (they call it Freon). He said the fix should last for at least 3 years, but if it ran out before then, that they would come back out and refill the unit. I was uneasy with this resolution, as the leak was not fixed, but I paid the bill since they gave me a warranty for 3 years. Last week, my unit quit running again. I contacted Cardinal on the day it went out to get it serviced, but did not get a call back or response to my text until a couple days later. That is unacceptable given the fact that we live in Phoenix and it is summer time. Either way, the owner said they did not warranty *** and when I showed him the invoice with the guarantee, I got no response back. I am seeking to be reimbursed for the amount of money - $572 - that it cost me to get Freon/Refrigerant from another company. I will attach all supporting docs.
Cardinal Heating and Cooling put in a new ** unit about 2.5 years ago on 9/21
Cardinal Heating and Cooling put in a new *** unit about 2.5 years ago on 9/21. I reached out to them on June 29 and sent them two messages, expecting a call back soon. However, they didn't get back to me, so I contacted another company to take a look. Unfortunately, they couldn't fix it and informed me that the compressor was faulty. Finally, Cardinal Heating and Cooling said they would send a technician between 3-7 on July 1st. We waited all evening until around 8:30 pm, but no one showed up until the next day, 7/2. The technician confirmed that the compressor was indeed bad. Then, I was told that I voided the warranty because someone else had tampered with the unit. I explained that there were two babies and small children in the house, but he didn't call back. He mentioned that *** said he had 48 hours. Cardinal Heating informed us that they had ordered a new compressor from Trane, which would arrive on the 18th. We emphasized that there were two babies in the house, but they suggested we buy portable *** units from *** shops. So, I purchased portable *** units and also arranged for hotels for the tenants. On July 7, they sent another experienced technician who brought two people to inspect the unit again and attempt to fix it by replacing the compressor. However, they couldn't find one and informed me that I could buy a replacement compressor for $1000. I questioned why I should pay for it when it's still under warranty. I had the *** company that initially came out contact Trane, and they confirmed that it was indeed covered by the warranty. On 7/18, Cardinal Heating came and replaced the entire condenser unit, charging me $3500. They justified this by saying it was the cost of a new compressor and 10 lbs of 410A Freon. However, they wrote up the invoice as if they had only replaced the compressor, which I disagreed with. Cardinal told me to call other *** companies to compare the cost of compressor replacements. I contacted other companies, but none of them mentioned anything about a new condenser unit being installed.
