I booked flights for me and my son in January 2020 for flights to Israel via American Airlines and El Al Airlines in June 2020 for $2, 532. I purchased a round trip airline ticket for my son on November 21 at 11 am.
At that time, the agent told me that I can cancel within 24 hours without fees or penalty. And, the confirmation email also stated that I could cancel within 24 hours.
I did not realize at that time that they charged $24.95 so that I could cancel within 24 hours.
The next morning, 22nd, at 9 am, my son did not want to go on the trip, so I called them and told them I wanted to cancel.
However, they told me that the ticket I purchased was non-refundable. I took 5 more phone calls, spending 4 hours, talking on the phone, and the company finally agreed to refund.
However, out of $388, only 235 was refunded.
The $24.95 was not refunded, and I agree that.
But, another service and other charges of $127.16 was not refunded.
This is violating the agreement stated in the confirmation email.

Refund due to airline cancellation during covid 19
I've been trying to get a refund for months now! This is beyond the worst website I have ever used, it is contradicting and never consistent. I have travel insurance and yet i'm told I can't get a refund. I will be filling a class action lawsuit as it is my fundamental right for a refund when I did not cancel the flight and simultaneously have insurance for things like covid.
It says in your travel protection plan under section 1: you or your traveling companion being hijacked, quarantined, required to serve on a jury (notice of jury duty must be received after your effective date), served with a court order to appear as a witness in a legal action in which you or your traveling companion is not a party (except law enforcement officers).
This is covid-19 and we are forced to quarantine.
I love how it says resolved and I haven’t got a refund, voucher to rebook my flight or any sort of help. I paid over 1, 000 for a flight that they cancelled and i’m apparently wrong for asking for a refund!
Please make sure you read all terms and policies before purchasing from this company as they are cheap as they promise to be.
I’ve done all of that. I do no not need to prove to you that I was COVID positive if the government or state had a mandatory lockdown. Why would I have to contact the insurance company when the travel protection plan is under CheapOair? You folks have a great way of twisting facts and making your company appear good when there are many holes in your terms and policy.

Refund / future credit
I bought tickets to Thailand through a travel agency called CheapOair for June 2020. Due to the pandemic, my flight was canceled and the agency gave me a credit to use in the future with Hong Kong Airlines.
My mother passed away in Thailand on October 19, 2020. I already missed the funeral and I am trying desperately to get to Thailand in time for her memorial day in January. Unfortunately, Hong Kong Airlines has no flights to Thailand right now and the credit expires at the end of the year.
Is there any way you can help me with my situation or anyone that I should contact that may be of assistance? I am looking forward to your response.

Refund being withheld covid 19 cancellation
I have been waiting for a refund and sent several emails and have recorded calls which my number is updated but the company keeps calling the original number (my husbands old number) and basically trying everything not to give me the refund they promised and have on recording as well.
Due Refund
In March 2020 my wife's flight was cancelled by British Air on the day of the flight. Called BA and they confirmed the flight was refundable but would need to be handled by CheapoAir since the ticket was purchased from them. This ticket was over $1, 000.00
I tried for days to reach CheapoAir including waiting on their chat for 6 hours. When I finally reached them they told me that the flight was in the past and since I didn't cancel with them we were not eligible for refund.
This was a very busy time for travel changes and people were getting stuck around the world - so getting to talk with an agent was extremely difficult. But I left messages, sent emails, and did all the things possible to contact them before the flight time. I bought an emergency replacement ticket through CheapoAir but could never get them to refund the original cancelled ticket.
Do not use this company for your travel services. I like their website flight search options and their pricing - but If they will take advantage and cheat like they did us, it is not a business to support.
The booking number was [protected]. CheapoAir notified us via email at 8:22 PM for a 10:40 PM flight. The problem was that the cancelled flight was the second flight in a series of 3.
British Airways and American notified us early in the morning prior to first flight. They also told me the ticket was refundable. But they could not cancel or change the ticket - only CheapoAir could do that. And of course you didn’t answer calls or emails.
I did rebook another flight through CheapoAir for her replacement ticket - [protected] was the replacement flight.

Got and email on 9-1-2020 with a cancellation & refund information call the website for cheapoair and give me the number in chicago to call the airline interjet for my refund try the number fue times but no one respond look the number from the airline in mexico city call the number in same situasion no respond... Call cheapoair again and the say to keep try the number in chicago.. Someone from cheapair call my the same day and offer me a vouchrer to fly another day with the same airline interjet.. But a tell theme the airline looks like is out of buissnes.. The lady fron cheapoair say the someone will call me back soon.. Reservation
I made a reservation for October 3rd 2020 on September 29th and because of an unexpected issue I had to cancel the booking. Cheapoair told me that I would be able to use the amount of the cancelled flight as credits for my next flight which is fine with me because I was expecting to travel this month. On October 1st I opened my bank statement and saw that there was a second charge of the exact same amount for my first reservation that I made of $1119.62. I am a student and I do not have a lot of money to begin with, cheapoair has caused me a lot of problems because I have to pay bills and rent and if they take 2 weeks to pay it back then I will have to try and explain this to my landlord and try and convince him to give me a few more weeks to pay the rent. Currently my account is overdrawn thanks to cheapoair and I will also have to incur the overdrawn fees as well. After this entire interaction I will never use cheapoair again.

Airline Ticket
The airline cancelled the booking but Cheapoair insists that they need to have an email exchange with the airline before the funds are released in 2-3 billing cycles i.e. 60 days. Upon communicating to the airline they informed me that the airline doesn't even have the funds. Thus, it is clear that cheapoair is able to promptly providing refunds but chooses not to do so. Taking several month to issue a refund that should be released in hours is unacceptable. I've seen other similar complaints from others so it appears to be a pervasive issue (class action worthy). This is essentially a fraud that involves time value of money where the company issues false statements about a material fact, comes up with endless excuses to keep the funds as long as possible, and leads unsuspecting customers into being cheated out of interest earning and other opportunity costs. I will never recommend CheapOair even if the ticket was free.

This company continues to hold my funds to "process" the refund in 2-4 "billing cycles" while earning interest and maximizing its cash flow over up to 4 months. Even in times of a Pandemic where people need funds, CheapOair is using tactics to cheat and defraud people out of their own, rightful, hard earned money for some interest profits.

The refund should take 1 day maximum, not 2 months.

$100.00 rebooking fee for american airlines cancel the flight.
I booked a round trip flight from Cali Colombia to Pensacola Fl. in Feb. 2020. The flight was for March 19. Becoming concerned whether my flight would still fly, four days before my flight I checked American Airlines website to find the flight was canceled. I received no notice from American Airlines or CheapoAir. I contacted CheapoAir and they told me I could take a credit, so i did. I re-booked the same flight in Aug. 2020 and was told there would be a$100.00 re-booking fee, which I payed because they are the only people that can re-book my flight due to them being the original booking agent. I was not told anything about the re-booking fee until I re-booked. The flight I re-booked, apparently is now canceled, even though I have not received a cancellation notice. In checking flight status, all I get is a "something went wrong message " with the info I entered. If I move the date up a week it shows flight details. My wife called the Airport here in Cali Colombia and was told that the Airport was not Authorized by the President to receive International flights until October this year.
It Appears that American Airlines and its booking agent ( CheapoAir ) are booking flights that they can in no possible way honor. So what now, give me another credit so I can be charged another "re-booking fee " when I re-book later? If I had known that I would be charges another $100.00's to re-book, I would have gone for a refund and flown home on a humanitarian flight which Spirit Airlines who has continually offered in the midst of the pandemic. What a scam! And in the middle of a Global Pandemic. I have been waiting six months for international flights to resume here in Cali so I can get home. One step forward, 3 steps backward.

Air fare credit instead of refund due to Covid only for short period
My scheduled tour last July 16 - August 21 to Ukraine and Turkey did not happened due to Covid and was given only credit expiring January 24, 2021, which I find very short period as pandemic on those countries is still ongoing.
I asked if I could use the credit to other country even if I pay the difference and was told no.
I do not want to take the risk of going to those two countries in the winter and with Covid still lingers as I am 69 years old and nobody wanted to go with me. I am a high risk and traveling alone is not advisable especially to a country i have never been before.
They also told me I cannot get a refund, as Air France and Ukraine International does not have a refund policy.
I decided to book flights to those country during the time as a retirement present to myself but as the whole world know, Covid intervene.
I am only asking for some consideration about my credit to get the validity be extended up to 2021 Summer, same date I booked last year and am praying to God to give it to me as a present for working for so long.

Lack of refund for cancelled flight
I booked a flight through CheapOair on February 29, 2020 to fly Sacramento to Washington D.C. on April 7, 2020. A portion of the flight was on Frontier and the other portion on United both departure and return flights.
The airlines cancelled the flight.
The Frontier portion of $121 was refunded.
The United portion of $364 has not been refunded. Nor have I been offered a voucher for future flights.
I have submitted eight email requests and have called several times to no avail.
Let me know if you want to join in on a lawsuit.
Complaint about bad service
I have made several attempts by email and phone (while calling from another country by the way) to resolve the issue of not being able to refund a ticket that was purchased in March (booking # [protected]). My sister (the passenger) needs to leave as soon as possible for personal reasons and all they could say was they would offer a future credit. What future credit if she needs to leave as soon as possible? My emails and phone calls seem to be going on deaf ears which is absolutely appalling and unprofessional. It's funny that they were quick to call me as soon as the ticket was purchased but they're conveniently nowhere to be found, now that there's an issue.
My goodness I know what a future credit means. My point is that she initially wanted a refund which you refused. Then she wanted to leave as soon as possible due to personal reasons but when she contacted you to to apply the credit for when she wanted to leave, you guys were nowhere to be found. Either we would be put on hold for a long period of time or our emails would literally take days to be responded to. Our overall experience has been stressful, disappointing and totally unprofessional.
That is so sad! Absolute moneymongers. It's ridiculous. I hope you get your issue solved

I made a reservation (booking number booking# [protected], and tealized on the same day that the airpot is closed due to corona virus! Howcome cheapoair booked it for me in firsyt place!
Moreover, when I realized that the airpot is closed, I cancelled my booking within the "24 hour limit" i.e. No penality and no chage of my account. Never theless, the money was withdrawn from my account anyway for a travel that will never happen!
Suprise supprise! When the time was close tothe booked floght (10th june at that time), I was informed that the flight is cancelled (what a surprise). After a while, I got another email saying that I an eligible for a re-fund! Suprise suprise and I should call a usa number to confirm autrhorizations. (note I sent multiple emails, but never got through to cheapoair.com except their billing department who says they received the requestr! So! No refung provided!
I called the number in their email *a usa number and I was calling form uk: a costly long distance call, and I got a recorder kept me on the line for about half an hour! Where I hang up and gave up calling cheapoair as such calls can be more expensive that the ticket I am trying to refund!
Until now as the date of this email, I stil did not get any refund and I cannot call thenm on the expensive long distance call!

Seriously! No money back for cancellations!
I have been calling them about my parents flight tickets which have been cancelled twice. When it was cancelled first they told us to make changes if we can provide them $300 for 2 passengers. And so we are so stupid we gave that money to them. 3 days later that flight was cancelled too. This time they told me lufthansa does not make any changes for cancellations anymore! I asked for $300 I paid. They told me "they cant give my $300 even if flight has been cancelled"
Seriously! I was so pissed and hanged up the phone. I directly called lufthansa and asked them if we could not rebook our flight tickets. They said "that is not true, they just want more money! This is not your mistake that has been cancelled. You can even get your money back" and they rebooked another flight for us.
Somehow that flight was cancelled and I called cheapoair again (never call them, they are nor helping at all). They first told me "yes thats possible to get money back because that is not passengers mistake". When I called them second time they told me "you cant get return this flight has been cancelled twice"
These cheap company seriously lying to everybody! When they book a flight they do not even speak clearly about the rules as well as they make their own rules even if I talked to lufthansa they still insist "no refund". After representative saw there was no way he could make me better. He put me on hold for an hour and called lufthansa. After an hour he said "no one picks up".
Freaking liars!
Now I have been on hold with them for 4 hours no one picks up my calls.
Freaking liars! Once I get back home I will sue them.
