Electric dryer
Purchased a new but repaired dryer for lowered price 10/24 delivery was 10/28. Very excited to get it on sat & had lots of laundry waiting. What a let down when installed it powered up but, won't work!
The delivery called the problem in to sales Adrian but, gave me no set appt.
I called the store asked for mngr, who took a harsh tone w me & orderd me to call repair dept myself on mon. Very upsetting & I hung up on Brett. Called back & told him his harshness is wrong & he needs to get in touch w repairs as he is the mngr & needs to take care of the problem. Whoever puts repaired appliances on the floor without testing them to see if they work needs to be fired. I paid them $452.00 & the dryer doesn't work at all & that is ridiculous.
Claimed loss: $452.00
Desired outcome: Replacement with whirlpool or maytag no addl cost & refund $50 delivery fee.
A non working appliance should
not be sold.
There is no reason a non working appliance should be delivered when it has not been tested!

This occurred in Feb also causing illness in the home. The sell machines that don't work, need fixed every few months and they take weeks to get it fixed. We either have to expose to laundromat or wear dirty clothes. I have immune issues not allow me to go public laundromat. The company will reply to Facebook messages but not make appointment call to us as scheduled. They will not get serviceman here for repair in the time frames he states and we agree to.

I purchased a GE Dishwasher on March 10, it was delivered and installed on March 18
I purchased a GE Dishwasher on March 10, it was delivered and installed on March 18. I did not use the dishwasher until 2 days after install. I did not receive any detailed instruction on the operation of the machine. When using the machine I noticed the drying element did not work. I continued to to use the machine with the drying function not working. Finally on April 9 I called Christie's and requested a service appointment which was scheduled for April 10. On April 10 the service technician advised us that the heating element was not working and he would contact GE Service Claims and request a new part. However it is my contention that since the dishwasher was used less than seven times from time of install that we were sold a defective product out of the box and therefore should have the dishwasher replaced with a new one. Spoke with salesperson *** on April 10 and he only offered the GE Factory Service Part Replacement.

Our matched-pair Speed Queen washer and dryer were purchased 3/28, and delivered, but not installed in final position, on 4/01
Our matched-pair Speed Queen washer and dryer were purchased 3/28, and delivered, but not installed in final position, on 4/01. I was at work, and my wife was home. We had them place the machines in an area next to the laundry room, as we were finishing painting and remodeling in the laundry room. They understood where the machines were going to be placed, and that my wife, Sarah, and I would place them in their final positions. They installed the shortest possible cord on the dryer, 4' long, but it was too short. I am working 44 to 46 hours a week, and we were finally ready to get the appliances moved in on Sunday afternoon at around 4 pm. At this point, I realized the dryer cord was about a foot and a half too short, and we called Christie's but they were closing at 4, so I could not go there and exchange the 4' cord for a 6' one. Sarah did not want this weekend to pass without getting the new laundry pair up and running. So I went to the nearest Ace hardware before closing, and purchased a 6 footer for $19.99. I installed it, we moved the dryer (and washer) into place, and we had our machines up and running. I was a little miffed that the guys who delivered the machines did not measure the required cord length, or maybe they did't care. So I resolved to bring the 4 foot cord back - it is still like new- to Christie's, and get reimbursed for the 6 footer I had purchased. Two days later, I left work an hour early, just to be able to get to Christie's before they close. I met the sales guy, explained the situation, and he explained that I had to talk to the manager. A guy sitting at a computer twenty feet away, apparently the shift manager, listened to my story, and said they could not reimburse me for the cord, because "they had not charged me for it in the first place". Further, why didn't I bring the cord back to them and get it it exchanged? Everything is supposed to happen on a schedule that is convenient for them, presumably. So I left them with the 4 foot cord, which they can now use again, but "not charge for". I would rather they had charged me for it, and gotten it right the first time. On top of the $2093. total cost, I would be happy to pay the $20. for the cord, because I know as a gas piping technician how important it is to get things right, and not make lame excuses. I also spoke with a retired master electrician, and he explained that national codes specify a six foot minimum cord length for electric residential dryers. Oh well, those national standards can be such a nuisance.
