CitiFinancial Servicing Citifinancial is the worst auto loan co to deal with ever

I will never ever ever ever get an auto loan through citifinancial auto again. everything about them has been extremely inconvenient and ridiculous. I needed to get a due date change and so I had been making payments on a certain day of the month EVERY single month which yes was a little late but not late enough to get late fees. I never could get my due date changed because you have to wait 48 hours after your check clears and then call back and try to change it.
The stupidest thing is that if you are even 1 day late you can not access your account online. I called them about a fee I had seen on my paper bill and I had 2 more days until the day that my check would be going through and they said they had been charging me these fees always (which never was i made aware nor were they on any other statements) of course i cant go online to look at history so she says they will have to mail it to me.
They do not accept partial payments either for some reason which sucks for me because I used to always pay half on one payday and half on another so I didnt have one large sum coming out.
This is the worst company to have your car loan through and I have tried in every way to get refinanced by another company to get away from them but I am too upside down in my car that I cant.
STAY AWAY IF YOU CAN

Call your senator, and anyone at the federal level to complain. It'll get stomewalled, but in the meantime start a blog site and threaten them with litigation on a class-action level.

CITI folks can get downright mean, rude, and ugly while they're stealing from you. What's in your wallet? The business card from your attorney, I hope. ### will take everything else.

I am one car payment behind and I have been paying my payment sometimes in 2 payments. Right now I am having to do this! They called and said they wanted to help me-so I called. They lied and said if I had called when they tried to contact me they could have helped me. The guy's manager? got on the phone and was very ugly! They called me back today=I called and it was a shouting match! She told me Good Luck! I have had this car for 18 months! I don't know what to do!

CitiFinancial Servicing Beware of citifinancial

My husband divorce was messy and we ended up with alot of debt from it plus we gained custody of his children. We ended up buying his ex out of her portion of the house, but to do that we had to refinance. With the horrible credit situation she left their finances in we were limited to where we could go to apply for a loan. Citifinancial seemed to be a savior for us; they were polite and eager to help us. If I knew then what I know now, his ex could have kept that house.

We ended up refinancing the house and to my amazement even in the horrible condition the home was in, they gave us $125, 000 but with a high rate. We paid off our debt and bought out his ex. A few years later we had accumulated some credit cards and went back to them. They actually refinanced our house again and gave us a new Mortgage loan of $135, 000 with a rate at 10.5%. My husband was forced to work both days every weekend to help make ends meet because our Mortgage payment was so high. In 07 I got pregnant, my father died, our AC went out in our house and our Truck, and my mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer. To say the least we were having a sucky year. Since then we have never fallen behind on our payments, mainly because my dying mother is helping us so that we don't ruin our credit that we've worked so hard to repair. I recently called Citi because my husband's work as eliminated overtime and with child care costs and everyday living expeses it has become to much for my family and my dying mother to deal with. I advised them of the situation and asked them if possibly we could reduce our rate. NO. We make to much. See I was advised by the local office that CITI does not take into consideration EVERYDAY LIVING EXPENSES when it comes to qualifying customers for their loans. However, if i wanted to apply, my credit was exceptional and they would be more than willing to get me another loan.

I thought that with then new Housing Bill that passed that maybe we would get some relief... but nope... you have to have 31% of your gross monthly income going to the Mortgage company. We are short $500... so even the government won't help me out. I have 3 kids to support and we have to have a place to live. I can't burden my mother with anything else. My husband and I are now having to go through a Money Management Service to assist us with dealing with Citifinanacial, but thats still no gaurantee that they will reduce our payment.

BEWARE: do not do what I did and get a loan from Citifinacial. As a company, they are more than willing to help you when you can afford it, but get into a bind and they get out a noose to help hang you.

I do majority of my banking and bill payments with on-line banking. It is easier, paperless, and convenient with some one who has a busier than most lifestyle. I could not believe it when I went to make my first payment on my Citibank Auto Loan, that there was an ADDITIONAL $14.95 in order to make this payment. Of course I refused to pay it that way. CitiFinancial Servicing Lied to

We got behind on our rental mortgage, due to my husbands illness. We always dealt with mike from citifinancial at point plaza, butler, pa. And he was always nice, and worked with us to get current. Things had gotten really bad, my husband was ill with pneumonia (has emphysema) and couldn't work for 6 mos. We received a foreclosure notice in the mail, and we were turned over to another branch of citifinancial, and barbara enna was the person who worked with us. We talked to her, and she told us that if we agreed to a short sale, that would stop a foreclosure proceeding. We obtained a realtor, and signed an agreement for a short sale. About a week later our realtor could not get hold of barbara enna, and called us. After being put on hold, and left there countless times, we finally got thru to barbara enna, but when we asked her why we were still getting foreclosure notices, she said "well your being foreclosed on". We reminded her of our previous call where she said a short sale will stop foreclosure, and believe it or not she told us to forget that, because she really didn't have the authority to tell us that in the first place. She works in the loss mitigation dept. For citifinancial, and just exactly why did she tell us that if she doesn't have the authority to ? Ok, so a few days pass and we get a legal notice from phelan hallinan & schmeig llp, that we are being sued in a civil action mortgage foreclosure suit. So back to barbara enna we go. Now she tells us we are to come up with $1100.00 by oct.26, and that will stop foreclose, but we are to agree to redo our remaining 12 year mortgage for 30 yrs. Not good. We finally have obtained a good lawyer who is going to look into all of this for us. But what the heck kind of a business is citifinancial who hires people like barbara enna who plays with foreclosure as if it were a joke? This is serious, why tell us something that's not true, or you don't have the "authority " to say. Why aren't we talking to the party who has the authority to tell us what we really needed to do to stop this mess? Citifinancial what gives? Jerk the little guys around by their noses. Oh, and our $57000.00 mortgage has turned into a $65000.00 lawsuit. Thanks citifinancial. Does the word crook mean anything to you people? Oh I better be careful... I didn't have the authority to say that...

Maybe you should have paid your mortgage as agreed or sold your home if you could no longer afford it. The mortgage only gets sent to loss mitigation after the customer is over 60 days behind and is actually refusing to work with the employees at the branch level. Every bank will eventually foreclose if you go months without paying them. And stretching out your term was an effort to lower your payment so you could pay as agreed and avoid foreclosure.

Why do people think that banks should write checks to them for thousands and thousands of dollars and they shouldn't have to make their payments when they are due? Would you loan money to someone and then tell them they don't have to pay you back until they feel like it?

Also, fair reader, the only way this persons daughter would get a foreclosure notice is if she was listed as an owner of record on the deed. Legally, ALL owners have to be notified of a foreclosure proceeding. Citifinancial did nothing wrong.

And yes, if you are not paying your mortgage, the only way to avoid foreclosure is to sell your house.

CitiFinancial Servicing Scam

In early August 2008 we purchased some expensive mattresses, using dealer 0% financing through Citifinancial. As we did not receive any paperwork regarding the financing by mid September, we got nervous. We called the dealer about information, we called Citi, both no luck, Citi did not find any record about our loan. The dealer asked us to wait two more weeks, and then he would make further inquiries. A week later we finally got the paperwork, an account statement and a payment slip. The due date was early October. Before it was due we have sent a check to the address on the account statement, and also added a payment slip.

2 weeks later we realized that the check was not cashed yet. We called Citi on the phone number stated on the account statement (FOR ACCOUNT QUESTIONS CALL…). When giving the agent on the line our account number from the account statement, they said they could not help us; this account number does not exist in their system. It must be from some other Citifinancial activity, they need to transfer us. That’s what they did, but the next agent in the other department said the same thing: not our number, you need to call 1-800-… . Finally I got the number for a local branch that should be able to help us. When I called there, it said that the line is discontinued.

Same evening we received a letter, only a sender address, no name on it. In a way that I can only describe as laughable (I think it was supposed to be funny) we were “reminded” on our payment obligations regarding Citi. It did not contain any names or phone numbers that would have made it easier to get in touch with the originator. The internet enabled us then to find the local branch to the sender address and a phone number. At this branch we were then told that we had the incorrect account number. To make it clear: the number on our account statement and payment coupon was not correct. We were asked to issue another check to make the first payment. We agreed to do that, if we get some kind of information what happened to our first check and why we suddenly have two account numbers. The branch manager called at the phone number stated on our account statement to look into this issue. She got that day as far as we did: we don’t know this (first) account number (and, interpreted, we don’t want to have anything to do with it). She gave us a card with the Citifinancial Customer Service number to call and promised to look further into this issue.

Today we called Citifinancial Customer Service. I can only hope that the way they service their customers is just a little disturbed through the additional pressure of the current bank crisis. It was a really unpleasant call. Partially it was certainly my fault: I was obviously not able to explain clear enough WHY I thought the check did not clear. The agent did not get for a long time that the account number that Citi provided us with is not correct. I asked for two things: a confirmation (in writing, please) that we only have ONE account with them, and a confirmation that the first check we sent in will not be cashed, or, that we will be refunded any fees we will have to pay to cancel the check. The only thing I got out of this was that I should request the refund from my branch (“I mean you can only request it: I don’t want to say with that that they will do that!”) in a voice that told me with every syllable “Please don’t EVER bother me with this crap again”. I can’t believe that someone who is getting paid to take care for the problems of the customers is not even remotely interested in it that the employer sends out kind-of-important information that is just plain wrong. And this is about computer generated letters. That means, there is most probably no “human error” involved. And so the error might actually have happened not only once, but maybe a thousand times that day. Or why should it only have happened once? But no one cares… maybe they care if suddenly nobody pays their bills anymore, because everyone has wrong account numbers.

And now to the best part: let’s contact them by email, tell them you don’t want to be a ping-pong ball between branch and customer service, you just would like to get an answer on your problems. I received an answer, two hours later, by email, telling me (short version): “Our branches don’t have email. Please call your local branch or call our customer service department at 1-800-…”. Now I want to cry. I give up. I will now (silently) protest over the internet. I will never make a credit purchase anymore if Citi is involved. And they will never know why. I don’t think it’s satisfactory to either side. But I guess life is easier for the ignorant.

CitiFinancial Servicing Unsolicited phone calls

I was at work one day when someone called looking for a co-worker of mine. I told them that the co-worker was busy. When the dude asked what time the person got off, I told him I didn't know.

The conversation should have ended here. The dude on the phone (named Angelo) replies "Come on man. You work with them and you don't know what time they get off?" I replied, "They work in a different area of them, and I'm not their boss!" Angelo replied "Take this number down, " and he rattles off a number. He then demanded that I repeat the number back. I rattled off a random number, and he says "Come on dude! I need you to take a message!" I reply that I am not an answering machine, to which Angelo hangs up on me.

I called back and demanded to speak to his supervisor. She said nothing other than "This will be noted." So I took it upon myself to go speak to the manager of the office. I went and spoke with her. She was being evasive, saying that it was the fault of the person they were looking for that I was caught in the middle. Angelo had a serious attitude with me, and I demanded that he issue me an apology for treating me like he did.

So far, I have received nothing.

CitiFinancial Servicing Rude / ruthless / underhanded / no morals

For 2 months I have been dealing with Cit Finantial. They are Liars, Sneekie, Untrustworthy. Whenever I go there for info on the account they start with :Now MaMa, just keep repeating it like I'm doing something wrong, when all I'm doing is trying to get the info. i need. They just won't answer any questions. Well I turned they into the Attorney General and then I got the info I needed. But there was a clause that I needed explained and they were again rude. The girl at the desk, Dorthy DePonceau told me to just leave, your Nothing but A Joke. The District Mananger came out and tells me to stop and acted like I was the problem. After going in a room to have him give me an explaination that I have needed. Needless to say he never answered the question, said he didn't know the answer. I told him to call there legal dept. now and ask them. He did and I still never got an explanation. Well I'm now getting the form from the Federal Reserve to report them for sneekie underhandedness things they do. I sugest to anyone who is having any problem with any company to turn them into your Attorney General. They have helped me with Verizon over billing and chargeing for internet when I didn't have it.I have gotten all my money back. They move real quick when Attorney General talks to them. And after when you think it is over when you get your letter from the Attorney General asking if everything is fixed, if it isn't when you write back and tell them in just a few days you hear results. Now Citi Fin. is another story, I have got Attorney Generl on it but now feel the Federal Reserve needs to be contacted. Good Luck to you all.

CitiFinancial Servicing Rip off

On the day of closing on the sale of the house I was buying, the mtg. broker called and said banking laws had changed and I need double the down pymt I had been approved for, and they had it already set up w/Citifinancial-just stop and pick up a check.

The check was for $9500, @ 21% interest, which has been reported to the credit bureaus as $15, 600. I felt I had no choice but to take it at 2 hours before closing- that, or be homeless. I paid a personal visit to branch mgr. Cindy Sandburg, who told me they would reduce my interest rate and lower my payment, then the story changed over and over again. Citifinancial was totally UNWILLING to work with me in any way.

So, my philosophy on that is, if you're in the business of screwing people, and they are, then you deserve to be screwed also. What goes around comes around. Why does this company punish its customers? That makes no sense to me, and I desperately would love to see them investigated for consumer fraud, misrepresentation, loan sharking, extortion, and whatever else could be thought of.

I have never run across a company so willing to financially rape its own customers-do they honestly think that will make them want to do business with them in the future?

The interest rate is high, BUT YOU SAW THAT BEFORE YOU SIGNED. Anyone knows that any business takes their interest FIRST, then deductions come from your principle. I'm like HAMMER192 on the messgage above. I got $5, 000 in 2008. With interest I paid them almost $8, 000 but I made double payments; therefore it's 3 yrs later, I only owe $999.60 and it's only been close to 36 months instead of 60. When your in need, you don't think about that high interest that YOU SEE RIGHT BEFORE YOU SIGN ANYWAY. Thank you CitiFinancial and sorry to those who didn't think to look at the entire picture before they signed.

This company really helped me out when I was in a jam! First of all I needed a personal loan and they approved me for 7200. I knew the interest rate was crazy and had to make some larger monthly payments to knock it down. My payment was about 300 but I had them take out 500 a month. I made an extra payment of about 200 a month and finished the loan off with my recent tax return money. Yes the interest is high, but I knew that going in and had a game plan to keep the loan a short term deal. They also gave me my truck title back early before paying off the loan when I requested it. I'm very pleased with the way I was treated with this company. They helped me out when I was in need.

Mr John Smith... obviously you do not know what you are talking about or you work for citifinanacial...i always had good credit, i just did not think a very well known bank will get me into what i call a nightmare ...it just does not go away...i pay and pay and my balance is the same...3 years ago i took a personal loan with CitiFinancial for 5, 000.00, i have been paying every month 129.00 for the last 3 years that is in total of 4600.00 as of today and my statement still reflects 3, 648.00. as my balance...which means i only paid 1400.00 towrards the dedt and 3200.00 to interes what a ripp off, , , , , , , , , , i called them to settle this debt ...willing to pay 2000.00 to get this out my credit, but they still want the entire amount of 3600. if i want this to go away...I'm so upset it seems that their interest is not 27%... if feels like 90% since if i keep paying in 3 years from now i'll still have 3000.00 as my balance... this is not right :( ultimatelly i'll be paying twice the amount i borrowed in the first place...i will not RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE...

First of all you dolt, it reported to the credit bureau hire, probably because you are in a state that does precomputed loans. Second, 21 percent interest is not so bad considering the fact that you couldnt get that money elsewhere if you tried right now because banks and credit unions are not lending. 3rd the rate is hire because Citifinancial is not a bank, they have to borrow the money that they are lending and the rates on that borrowed money have sky rocketed since the market trouble. You people whine and complain about everything, they are the only company that will help you with you mortgage when you are in trouble. They will work with you, other mortgage companies wont they will just take your house. Think about your situation before you complain about it. Than what will happen is you wont pay your bill on the due date, and then you will complain your balance isnt going down. I wonders why? You are all the same.

First you are charged $15 to use it, and when i tried to make my payment on the due date the system kept messing up saying i was putting in an invalid entry when i wasn't even entering anything... Funny huh?!?!.. so on top of that because the system wouldn't take my payment on the due date by phone on a Sunday i had to wait till Monday morning and got an extra $40 late fee... seems like a SCAM to me... Well the best way to avoid late charges is to pay your bill son top and not the day they are due.. Why wouldn't you pay it on a Friday rather then waiting until Sunday (the due date)? It just doesn't add up, this will happen anywhere where you borrow money. And lastly it's the *WORST

CitiFinancial Servicing Foreclosure and insurance claim

Because of poor customer service and lack of their employees documenting each phone encounter we ended up losing our home to foreclosure. We had a buyer willing to do a short sale and he experienced the same thing. Phone calls made to citifinancial were always repetative. No one we talked to had any idea of what was going on with our short sale. We had signed papers and thought everything was in order at one time and when the buyer contacted the bank to find out the status, he was told they lost the paperwork and to resubmit. This was done, but to no avail, we ended up losing our house in the end. In the midst of all this, we had a pipe break at the house on the second floor in the winter. The water ran for at least a week causing irreputable damage. We filed an insurance claim which took a while to work out. In the end, we ended up receiving a check made out to us and the mortgage company, by this time, the bank had taken our house and sold it. They no longer had possession. Now I am stuck with huge bills from the flood. The bank wont endorse the check because they no longer have an interest in the property, the insurance company needs a letter stating this before they can reissue the check. We called the bank and sent a letter requesting this release. I attempted to follow up on the letter I sent and everytime I contacted the bank, no one seemed to know what was going on and made me repeat the incident over and over. I would be transferred to someone else and again I would have to repeat the situation. I re sent the letter and have yet to hear back from them. We are in a dire situation because the check expires Oct. 1 and we have been working on this since May. Can someone help us.

BEWARE! If you are under foreclosure with Citi and have been trying to get a remodification - you will LOSE! We were going through the same thing. They gave us "30 extra days so they could process the paperwork" they never knew what they were talking about, they couldn't answer our questions - they even had the wrong loan number on our paperwork. 27 days into our extension - they AUCTIONED OUR HOUSE WITHOUT NOTIFYING US! These assclowns don't know what they are doing. They are a rip off. We are fighting it and have retained a Real Estate Attorney! Beware, beware, beware.

We too are having the same issues with Citifinancial Mortgage! They are trying to foreclose on our home. We have been fighting with them for MONTHS attempting to get a loan remodification processed and have been through no less than FIVE agents so far! And each one seems to want the exact same documentation the previous agent requested! I am about FED UP with this run around. We cannot afford to lose our home which we've been in for almost 20 yrs. If there is EVER a class action suit filed against this company...COUNT US IN! I can be contact via arajuncajun@yahoo.com

This company needs to stop lying, and their associates better trained .(and i dont meen in lying 101). I agree with everything everybody is saying. I to am going through a problem with citifinacial. I have been divorced for six years. I am now remarried and new husband and i applied to a bank to buy a home. To my surprise it came up i was still attatched to my x husbands mortgage. (wait this gets better).
They have his new wife on the loan also with out ever contacting me, and they have my social attatched to her name. No one will give me a reason why or how this happened. I have contacted everybody possible, and when you ask for the Dm's number you dont get it. So i have now chosen to get a lawyer and fight this matter. Good Luck to all that are going through problems with this company.

Does anyone know how to contact someone higher up at citimortgage? If you contact their local number usually you get someone from India that you cannot understand. I would like to be able to speak to someone that won't just pass the buck on to someone else and be able to get some help.

We too have been having a problem with citimortgage. When we refinanced are house we were told that we needed a survey done on the home, at the time citimortgage was doing a promo and told us all we had to pay was 250.00 to close. Because we were already with citimortgage do to them buying out our previous loan from another lender we were able to do the promo offer. We were told by the loan officer we would not have to pay for the survey after we told them we did not want to do the closing because of the additional cost. During the closing the survey was nowhere located on any of the documents. We even asked the person that was doing our closing about the survey. He said he didn't see it on the paperwork and we should be fine and that his job was to just make sure we signed everything correctly. Then we started getting bills from the survey company saying we owed them for the survey. After contacting citimortgage on several times nobody seems to know anything about it and the original loan officer who we spoke to is denying that she ever promise us anything. I am very very dissappointed with citimortgage I don't trust them and my advice to everyone make sure you get everything in writing that they promise to you. Because apparently people are willing to say anything to get a bonus and it will be to your expense. We will be looking for another mortgage company to refinance with. It is worth it to me to pay closing cost to someone else just to get out from under Citimortgage and not give them my interest money every month.

CitiFinancial Servicing Lost previous interest by refinancing

I have had my 2005 Pontiac for 3 yrs, about 18 mos ago, approimately, I received a letter from citifinancial auto telling me that they could lower my interest rate and save me I think it was around $1100 on my balance. I went to see about trading my car in on Thur of this week, 8/21/08 - on Fri the dealer called me and told me that my balance now should be about 12 to 13, 000 dollars still owed instead of 17, 294.71 Which as any one can see is about a 3-4000 dollar difference. The dealer went on to tell me that what CITIFINANCIAL did was start my loan at the amount it was when the refinancing offer was made and the interest that had been paid was gone, just gone not credited as it should be so now the story is I will not be able to trade my car in until paid in full which is what CITIFIANCIAL HAD PLANNED. If it were wrecked I'd have no car and still be making a payment to CITIFINANCIAL AUTO -- CROOKS. MORAL OF STORY, IF IT LOOKS REAL GOOD IT'S NOT! They do not give you the real story. Thank heaven the dealer, , who I bought the car from before, was honest enough to tell me he wasn't going to sell me a car worth 17-18, 000 and really be paying on 24-25000. jCITI FINANCIAL AUTO YOU ARE CROOKED AND TAKE ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE. I am sending a letter to the Illinois State Attorney, Amy Madigan and also to the Texas State's Attorney to let them know the unsound practices you pull, I am going to submit my origianl paper work to prove that this is the scam that you pull.

ADVICE TO OTHERS -- AVOID CITI FINANCIAL AUTO AND ALL THE SUBSIDIARIES I plan to put this is local papers and Texas papers also. SHAME ON YOU -- YOU THIEVES AND CHEATS
GOD HAS A PLACE FOR YOU!

I had a similar situation with citi. First i get a letter saying I missed a payment 5 months prior and that citi changed its name about that same time. This was a four years 0% interest deal. I had every bill except that particular months bill. They also claimed they tried to call me. BS, leave a message. The letter states if we pay them basically $100 more than our standard payment, our status would be "current." Naturally i get on the horn with them and not ten minutes into it i realize this is some bs, so i give the phone to my wife who proceeds on the phone for the next 2 hours. She ends up paying them like $100 more than the letter asked for over western union. Not two or three days later i get a bill with all these finance charges. We wrote them a letter explaining that we never got the bill, because they said if we called them again "we would give up certain rights, " whatever that means. They basically said sorry about your luck. There is no doubt, in my mind, that this is some sort of scam. I even wrote a letter to the BBB about it and they are useless. I couldn't even get them to contact me. So, i hope this may help someone out there. I'm actually thinking about going to the news about this. I pay my bills and i am tired of all the bs that is going on with banks and credit cards.

I have Rooms to go account through CitiFinancial Retail Services. It was suppose to be no interest charge until December 2012. However, I am paying 27% interest since March 2008 and call the customer service who told me my case was going to be considered and that I was going to be contacted within the next 15 days. Since then I have contacted them on May 2008, June 2008 and October 2008, but the so much expected call never happened. And they have the guts to tell that they did call my cell number once on May. Don't they know that all calls appear on the each person telephone bill? Well their number is not listed on mine. The reason they gave me over the phone for the interest charges was that I pay late once, which I did paying a late payment charge of $39.00 for that. This financial organization is full of greed!

CITIFINANCIAL closed my account but said they did it because I did not respond within the time allowed [30 days] to accept their new terms. Total lie. Never late once but since the credit line was 10, 000 they weren't taking any chances.

CitiFinancial Servicing Fraud and scam

Where do we begin? For starters we had our mortgage through Citifinancial several years ago and didn't like the way they did business (mostly customer service problems) so we moved it to another company. But Citifinancial bought out the company we had moved to so we ended up being forced to do business with them again even though it was against our wishes.

We ended up in financial trouble due to economic loss of employment, and ended up having to file chapter 13 bankruptcy in 2003. Citifinancial was part of the culprit in us having to do this as they would not work with us at all when we were behind, even as far as refusing payments. We were afraid they would try to take our house and thought it best to file chapter 13 to protect it.

Fast forward to 2008--we completed our chapter 13 payments in May and were instructed by the court and lawyers to begin making payments to Citifinancial starting in June. (The court had been making our payments for us while in chpt. 13 and we had no contact with Citifinancial during this time.)

We did make our first payment to Citifinancial in June via phone (on time) but when we finally got a statement from them, the statement showed us to be over $800 delinquent! While attempting to make the July payment (on time), we were forced to wait on hold for almost an hour with numbers we had been given to call, only to have the representatives tell us they could not find our names, social security numbers or account numbers in the system.

We finally got through to a number that could locate us, and they gladly accepted our payment; when we inquired about the delinquent amount on the bill which should not be there, we were told they would look into it and call us back. They never did. So we wait another month and try to make our August payment (on time) via the same number we made the July payment. But this time we were told that they could not accept our payment because our account is in a delinquent status and we had to call another number. Nothing but run-around.

We ended up mailing the August payment via priority mail and have decided that there is no getting anywhere with this company. (This is the second time we have attempted to make a payment with them and they refused it--that is crazy!) Our next step is to contact our chapter 13 office or the lawyers from our case and see if they can get to the bottom of it--we should not have come out of chapter 13 in a delinquent status--the amounts we had gotten behind on from before we filed were taken out first thing, shown on the statement as 'arrears' amounts. It looks to us like they are up to their usually thievery and trying to get every penny they can get their hands on--legal or not.

And one more thing--we also had another real estate account with them which was due to be paid off in June. We sent the payoff amount to them and it was confirmed that they received it on the 13th of June. We have yet to receive our deed or titles or even to hear any word about that account or property.

In our book this company is a company of incompetents and are not fit to do business with the public. If it is possible for us to do so, we intend to get our mortgage out of their hands as soon as possible!

CitiFinancial Servicing Predatory 2nd mtg

Our 1st mtg was predatory 2/99 (they were sued and are out of business) and when we ran into problems with that citifinancial (we had an outstanding debt been refinanced repeatedly) said do a 2nd mtg 11/99. No appraisal, MANDATORY INSURANCE and all to the tune of 18.99 %. We recently found out about the predatory lending laws. But it is too late says our attorney. Our state laws won't let us do anything about it because after 5 years they are under an umbrella so we are sitting here holding the "bag". I Try calling Citifinancial and they say "Not our Problem Ha Ha" Well the joke is on alot of people in this state. I would like to hear from other people in this state who have been victimized by this company refinancing repeatedly and getting away with it.

I had a personal loan from CitiFinancial and paid this loan off on June 2000.

Years later I was taken to court for non payment of this loan. During this time I did not know I had paid my loan off. So I paid off the loan again.

August 1, 2008 I found a bill from CitiFinancial that was stamped paid in full. I then looked at my credit report and it also stated that my account with CitiFinancial was paid in full.

I called CitiFinancial customer service. I was told that my account was not paid and my loan was sold to a SADP Captial Company in 2002. They gave me the telephone number to this company. When I called the company I was told that SADP Company had went out of business in 2002.

I called company after company trying to find out who have my loan from CitiFinancial. I found out my CitiFinancial account was sold to two other companies.

I am still trying to get records about my loan account with CitiFinancial. Once I attain these records, I know it will show that I paid this loan twice.

If someone have any information that I can use to find my records, please email me ASAP.

Thanks

CitiFinancial Servicing Customer service

My friend and I both have this company and the same kind of treatment. They are rude, pushy, and liers. For my friend they took a check over the phone from her husband but it was set to be cashed two days before payday so she called and told them the day had to be two days later or it was going to bounce, they wouldn't and yes it bounced. AS FOR ME I was behind a payment behind because I was taking care of my dying mother at her home, and was trying to pay both mortages because family & renters shafted us. I called them to let them know the situation they said that is fine and just give them a check for the last day of the month to stop all of the harrassing calls and if I don't have it just call them and tell them to not put the check through. So I received my incom tax two weeks before the check was suppose to go through and made a payment plus extra. Called Customer service and told them to cancel the other check that was supose to go throught the last day of the month, She said that that payment would go towards the following month then. WELL needless to say it didn't it was all applied to an $1800.00 Hazardous insurance they decided to put on my account when I already had insurance. Then they would call work six plus times a day to say I am late. When I brought up what happened more or less said tuff and I still need to come up with this money they would investagate what happened but to save our credit and stop the calls we needed to pay it upfront. Well I didn't have that extra money. SO GUESS WHAT WE ARE NOW IN FORCLOSURE because of their mistake. Sucks for my credit but Lucky for me my mother had the trust to her house in my name, Still have a payment on her house but Countrywide is much better to deal with and much more understanding.

This company has no Customer Service what so ever, I was unfortunate enough to have to move out of my home at short notice and find somewhere to stay, as it was not a permanent address I did not up date my account with citi. I continued to pay them the amount each month which was a set amount on the same date each month, well when i finally did change my address I found out that they work on a 23 day cycle os the payments had only been paying late fees for the three months. I explainied the situation but no one was interested and no one coulf help they said that i had to pay the outstanding balance and they could not waive any of the late fees, so i agreed to pay the late fees and brought my account up to date only to find out that they had changed my plan for 0% to 30% I called and was told that this cannot be changed back.

This company is not caring and does not want to help even if customers are willing to work with them. DO NOT USE THEM THEY WILL SCAM YOU AND THE STAFF ARE EXTREAMLY RUDE AND TREAT YOU LIKE A CRIMINAL.

Also the harrass you with constant phone calls sometimes 8 times a day.

My name is Kevin J Massingill. Since Oct. 5, 2009. My wife and I have tried to pay our car payment over the phone. We would get a confermation number and told everything has gone through. We made several attempts several reps. same answer. My wife contacted her bank only to find out that her bank has no record of Citi Financial processing the payment. We had tried to set up our payment on auto pay. No luck. I have had no troubles in making a payment this way. Until Citi Financial Auto. It has been an uphill battle to get them to process our payment. My wife and I are trying to keep them from hurting our credit because of Citi Financial Auto. Kevin J Massingill

I started my phone calls to CitiFinancial Customer service 6/14/2010. I called [protected],
[protected], [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected],
[protected], [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected],
[protected]. After trying each of the numbers I was repeatedly told no one could help me. Until I contacted one of the numbers twice and spoke to two different customer service reps who told me - that due to the circumstances, I could request a temporary or permanent hardship amendment from the department that handles it, The Auto Department, who then transferred me to the Collections department. I called again and was told no one there could help me and they gave me another number. This went on and on. I finally told them I wanted to talk to a Supervisor, Manager or District Manager. I told them that I would wait forever if I had to. Once again I got disconnected. I called back and got another customer service rep and I explained everything again and requested a Supervisor, Manager, or anyone who is in charge there. They once again put me on hold and low and behold they gave me an Angela Snyder. I got disconnected again. I called back and requested to talk to Angela Snyder a manager at yet another number [protected]. I called that number while on the phone and she actually answered the phone. Lucky me. She went over my request and said she would walk it herself to the department that made the recommendations and see what could be done. She said to check with her the following Tuesday, on 6/29/10 and gave the times she would be in meetings. I started calling on Tuesday and left a message, thinking finally someone who will be calling back. I have not heard from her since. I have left her several messages and here it is 7/16/10 and still no return call. CitiFinancial's customer service in the worst on I have ever had to deal with. I am in the customer service field and if any of us treated the customers that way we would be fired on the spot. Look at what it does to a company’s reputation. Oh yeah they have to care about customer service. They treated me like I didn't matter to them. Well if they do that to me who else are they going to do it too. If someone asked me I would tell them “Never” get involved with CitiFinancial.
I called again 7/16/10 before I started this and asked for an officers phone number, once again could get nowhere. I did find out from [protected] CitiFinancial was sold to Santander Consumer USA.

I agree with everyone on this comment board and I am so sorry to hear about all the trouble that you are all having. This is the reason I started my company. I have helped several people that have mortgages with ASC, Countrywide, and other mortgage companies that don't seem to care if they harass people or suck them dry. The comments I have heard are along the lines of trying to get blood from a stone or turnip, or something like that.

Contrary to what some people have said on here, I am not trying to be one of those people I mentioned above. My company is a nationwide company that provides services for people that are at the end of their rope. One of the helpful things that we provide is letting you know, before payment for service, if we can assist you and if we can not. If we can not, we tell you why not and what can be done to allow our company to assist you. Most companies won't do that, but we will also give you the reasons why exactly so that, if you should choose a different service, they will not be able to scam you. Now that's a way of saving money too.

I have a service that actually will take you out of the loop of contact with ASC, or Countrywide or whomever you have servicing your loan. All you have to do is tell me how we can help you. By that I mean, tell us what you are looking for us to do for you and we will pursue the help that you want, no matter what. We have all aspects of the mortgage business covered from being a mortgage mediation company, a title company, a real estate company, all the way to having access to attorneys for litigation or help to avoid foreclosure. No aspect of help is turned away.

Let me tell you, most of the customers that I deal with have told me about the fear and the frustration of working with mortgage companies that don't seem to care or give them the runaround. To be totally fair, mortgage companies have their ways of dealing with people. Some are good, some are horrible. But one thing all mortgage companies love is being vague. When they are vague, they don't have to give you information until you ASK for it. How does that help you? How can you try to save your home if you don't know how to ask the right questions?

That’s another reason why I created this company. I take your number out of their "system". When they mail you something, it goes to me. I take the burden away from you so you can live your life without the phone calls and the letters. And the rudeness! Oh, man, if I told you some of the stories I have heard...let's just say, it’s not pretty.

I know that some people are going to look at this comment and go, this guy is trying to drum up business. Well, you're right. But here's the kicker. I used to work in mortgage collections. I used to make the phone calls and send the letters. I used to work around the people that make your lives hell. And I kept asking myself, why? Why are these people not being told about the help that’s readily available? Why are these people not being helped to make payment arrangements that are realistic? Why does this company care more about the money than about customer service when that is supposed to be their primary objective?

That's why I got out. I can not stand collections. Just because they are hiding behind a company name they think that they can say anything or act anyway they like with the customers, being friendly with one and the next 40-50 they can treat like crap. Where is the customer service?

I take all that frustration away from you and create solutions that work. I know that it may be hard to swallow, but I do. I have done it for several people. And I can do it for you too. If you want more specifics or just want to talk to me, call my office at [protected] and check out the website, which is being updated with a few new options available. And this isn't just for people facing foreclosure, people that are current and want to pay off their home early, call me. I can and will help as many people as I am able to. What have you got to lose? Website address is http://RealtyMediationService.onlybusiness.com
and if not for you, best of luck. In all your endeavors.

Citi customers can file a lawsuit against citi. Don't let them intimidate you by reminding you of the contract, because by law, a contract cannot be one-sided. also if they break the contract themselves, it becomes null and void. So talk to a lawyer and inform the lawyer of this site and other complaints against citi.

CitiFinancial Servicing Back billed rip off!!!

I purchased furniture from Wickes Furniture on 06-18-07 and signed up for the promotion of no payment and interest for a year with CitiFinancial Retail Services. Wickes went bankrupt shortly after and my payment of over 1500 dollars stood. I paid off the loan on time to CitiFinancial on June 10th and their bills were very unclear and stated the due date to be 6/30/08 but that didn't seem right to me. I still sent my payment on time and was later back billed 467.76 of interest because they claimed that they did not receive the payment until June 17th. That still would of been early according to the date my furniture was purchased. Calling over and over and getting an auotmated computer and no answers from Citi I am frustrated and need your help. If you can help please contact me for more information. In times like these they should be elated that I paid on time and they still want to rip me off! I have always paid all my bills on time and have a great credit score and I will not be taken for a fool with this stupid company run by monkeys!

Annoyed,

Olga Oletskaya

I purchased furniture from Ashley Furniture and used the no payment, no interest plan. We were starting a new business and needed office furniture. I never borrow money and even though we had the cash available to pay for it, we felt it would benefit the business to pay it out over 18 months as opposed to up front. The total cost was about $3000 and the agreement was for 18 months. I was diligent on paying every month and thought that the amount was paid in full prior to the end of the 18 month period. Apparently I still owed $79 (which I don't think is accurate). 3 weeks after the contract expired, I received a bill for $644 claiming it was back billed interest. Even if I still owed $79...an immediate addition of $562 seems completely outrageous.

I will be calling them tomorrow to try and clear this up, but by the 100's of negative comments I've found online, Im not optimistic i'll get any satisfaction. I hate companies like this. I will never ever use any citi financial financing again and will be sure to warn friends and family.

I will never get any type of anything from citi financial again. They are a bad business to deal with. My husband had an account that went to collections which was settled with the collections company shortly. Citi Financial tried to send the remaining balance to another collection company. They didn't want to speak with me or my husband about this account. We contacted both collections companies who had gotten in touch with Citi concerning this matter. Citi still pretended that didn't get any information about the settlement. Luckly we had a copy of the settlement letter and got it faxed to them. Finally we demanded them to get it taken care of (after 6 mos). I have and will always have a bad taste in my mouth with they are concerned.

We have approximately the same situation with Citibank financial Paid it off on time, and then they changed the due date on the contract so it would make us about 1 week late. Now they want all the back interest and call constantly! What happened in your case? Thanks

CitiFinancial Servicing Customer service is awful

My wife and I are trying to sell our house(built in 1950 needs work) the 1st is with WAMU and they are willing to do a short sale the problem is that Citifinancial will NOT remove the junior lien for $1, 000 (this is all WAMU's investors will allow to give Citi) we have offered to give CITI the junior lien position on a brand new home that we have in Alabama for the balance due. We have always paid Citi on time! We showed them the buyer's contract to buy the listing agreement and the short sale agreement from WAMu proving that WAMU will only give them $1, 000. Citi will not agree to recast our loan and move the lien to our other house! They want $9, 000 to settle the $15, 000 debt. If I had $9, 000 I would jump at that and the house wouldn't foreclose! I have been telling CITI for 4 months that I don't have that kind of money!1 No one will listen, I have called the district and regional manager and the office in Baltimore the guy there was really rude to me...the best part is today I receive a letter saying that they are trying to garnish my wages...so I am going to let WAMU foreclose and then CIT won't be able to garnish or collect another dime! So that is what they get for being GREEDY and RUDE!

So, just to understand what you're saying, you want them to accept $1, 000 to pay off a $15, 000 debt. They lent you $15, 000 dollars in good faith and you are upset because they will not accept less than 7% of the amount that they lent you? If you had lent someone $150 would you let them give you only $10 to pay off the debt? It seems to me that maybe you should be more angry at your first mortgage company for being so stingy with how much they are willing to pay the second mortgage.

I completely understand on how you are feeling. I am also going through this same situation with citimortgage. My first mortgage agreed to do the short sale. However, citimortgage wants $30, 000 and the primary mortagage is only willing to give $5, 000. My lawyers have beent trying to work over this deal for more than 4 months already. I really do not understand why they are being so difficult and their workeres are very rude. But don't worry, someday they will pay for what they are doing.

CitiFinancial Servicing Very poor customer service

They made errors on my vehicles title which have prevented me from getting the car registered. I have been trying to get the problem corrected for two months. I have been referred to multiple parties in multiple departments. I have left over a dozen messages and to date have not received the courtesy of a call back from anyone in the Citi Financial Auto title Departments.

The customer service is over in India, I can't understand them and they are so stupid. I've been wanting my monthly statement and haven't gotten one since March, it's September now and I keep calling them to request a billling history and they repeated my address, it was the wrong address. And I request the billing history online and I still haven't gotten anything. People in America need jobs, lose the Indian's and give it to the people here that have families, they only use India to save money so they don't work for the same amount of money as we do here. But since ppl here don't have money cuz they don't have jobs Citi financial won't be getting any clients... CITI FINANCIAL IS SO [censor]IN STUPID!

I guess you're so lucky! I bet any money if you would've act as if you wanted the car, it would be gone. I want my car and they repo it and refuse to work with me. I rate Citi as the worse bank ever. I happen to work for a bank and hear that my employer is the worse. People need to think again, because Citi is rated number one for the worse customer service. I've never spoke to anyone nice. I'm hoping that everything works out, but I wouldn't recommend this bank to anyone. I work in customer service and wouldn't have a job if I treated customer the way that they treat customers. It's just a matter of time before they go out of business.

For several months I've been wanting the car repossesed. They "keep making notes" then ugnoring me after switching me around to several different people. Also, they keep sending me threatening letters about the payments. I DONT WANT THE CAR! TAKE IT BACK!

How hard is that to understand? Thank you
