Citroen Unavailability of spare parts and no update of expected delivery

I had bought a Grand C4 Spacetourer from Cycle and Carriage in 2018. My car was involved in an accident around end of Sep'22 and has been in the car workshop for over 3 months (as of 31 Dec'22) waiting for the parts to arrive. Cycle and Carriage has also not been able to advise when the parts will arrive, which is inconceivable. The after sales service has really disappointing and I still have no idea how many more months I have to rent cars and take public transport because of this delay. When we contacted C&C customer service, they pushed it to workshop and said they need workshop to advise on the parts. Sounds ridiculous to me why C&C need workshop to advise. Please think twice buying a car from C&C...

Citroen Citroen c4 2012 diesel 1.6 auto

Hello. I was driving for about 10 minutes when I smelled plastic burning. I stopped immediately and stopped the engine. I found out that the sensor that is locketed above the diesel filter was burning the plastic and the cable that was attached with it. No light or warning was displayed on my screen, or error at any kind.

That is unacceptable, it was something that burned the plastic over the diesel fuel. If I wasnt able to smell it, it would catch fire, and inside I had my family.

I need to know why this happened, as it is a fire hazard at any time, and I need to have any expenses for this repair to be covered by the company, as it wasnt my fault or it is something that is "just happened". If it was just dead sensor, I would understand and I would have no complain or wanted something from the company.

But this is a very dangerous thing that was able to destroy my car and endangered me and my family.

Desired outcome: I would like a response and compensation about the fees and dangerous condition i was in.

I bought a brand new citroen relay Van 0 mileage In less than a year the engine early warning light went on I was trying to get through to them to book a service The only Monday gave me was in December the 2nd my Van is not working nobody is available to help it's in the warranty But refusing to give me a cut Savannah and not answering all my calls

Citroen My car C5

I bought this car 2 years ago. Yesterday when I started the engine the battery exploded ! And when I went to the service today they refused to give me a report with the status of battery exploding they just changed it for me

Terrible service horrifying experience and they didn’t even give me an explanation for it ! What if it happens again !

Desired outcome: Compensation for this terrible incident I had my kids with me in the car and it’s unacceptable that they refuse to give me a proper report I’ll sue them for what happened

Citroen Subject: Broken Car (ΝΖΗ 285)

Dear Sirs,

In regards of the above-mentioned subject, please allow me to introduce myself and explain bellow the difficult situation your representative here in Cyprus, GEO PAVLIDIS AUTOMOTIVE, has put us in.

My name is Marios Christofidis and I am the General Manager of Victoria Trading Ltd, a well-known company based in Limassol- Cyprus, which specializes in external shading systems and was established in 1970. Our company has a lot of commercial cars, for the purposes of our work.

Mr. Kostas Sergiou from GEO PAVLIDIS AUTOMOTIVE (your representatives here in Cyprus), approached us to start a collaboration, which we gladly accepted having in mind the prestigiousness and reliability of your company.

At this point it is important for us to note that we have had offers to collaborate with other companies, but we have chosen to proceed with this company, as we felt like it would better serve our needs.

Since then, we have purchased 3 brand-new cars from your representatives, within a 6- month period (attached the deeds of the cars). One of which (a Citroen Cactus C4 with licence number NZH 285) was purchased on 22/02/2021.

Sadly, just a year after the purchase, the car started having technical problems, in specific the troubles started on the 06/05/2022. We immediately took the car with a platform to GEO PAVLIDIS AUTOMOTIVE.

The events that followed this insistent sadly made us regret for the above collaboration and had us questioning the reliability of your representatives.

We are sorry to inform you that since GEO PAVLIDIS AUTOMOTIVE took in our car, they have not informed us of what the problem was or of the damage, regardless of the many attempts from our behalf.

Moreover, they did not even offer us a substitute car. As I mentioned, the car we have purchased was for our company and it was necessary for us for our daily agenda.

From the date that the technical problems started, we have been asking constantly for a substitute car, explaining to them that it was a necessity for us and for our work. As I mentioned, our company specializes in external shading system, our highest and busiest period is from May- September were the sun and the temperatures here in Cyprus are extremely hot. You can imagine our frustration by not having a car, which we bought to help us through this busy time.

A month passed by without having any response from GEO PAVLIDIS AUTOMOTIVE.

Finally, we had no other choice but to rent a car, which we did in July 2022, and we have been renting one ever since. Our company has been paying ever since € 1050/ per month. Having paid since today € 3150.

Following, we sent an email to the mechanical manager of GEO PAVLIDIS AUTOMOTIVE, Mr. Aggelos Michael, on the 01/07/2022. In our email we informed him for about the situation and we asked him to provide us with a solution to our problem the soonest possible, as it has already taken long enough without having a car.

It was then that we were offered two substitute cars, which we had to turn down. The first car they have offered us was a manual one the second one a semi-manual. None of them came close to the brand-new car we have bought. It is important to note that our brand- new car was automatic, which was essential to me, as I suffer from a back problem and by doctors’ orders, I cannot drive anything but automotive.

Having explained that to Mr. Aggelos Michael, we asked him to provide us with a car close enough to our car (or at least an automatic one). His response was that the only available cars were the two above-mentioned ones. A response that was inconsiderable and unacceptable from our behalf, not only they left us without a car for two months, but they did not even try to find a solution to our problem.

As a solution, GEO PAVLIDIS AUTOMOTIVE offered us the amount of €200. An action that shows zero professionalism and it is very offensive, as it doesn’t show any consideration to what we have been to and the damages we suffered. Needless to say that the reason we decided to buy a brand- new car in the first place was to avoid all this troubles.

They also accepted to expand the warranty for an additional 5 months, which our car was under their possession. Although we appreciate the offer, it cannot be accepted as a solution. It does not solve anything for us, and we feel that it the least they can do for all the trouble and costs they have put us through.

You can find attached all the correspondence we have had with GEO PAVLIDIS AUTOMOTIVE.

I am sure that a prestigious company such as yourselves will take all the above into consideration and provide us with a legitimate solution. This has taken long enough it has already cost a lot.

Citroen Maintenance service in Egypt

Hi I bought my car from kasrawy in Egypt and it was very good, I went to the 10,000 and 20,000 kilos maintenance at Asmarat agency in cairo, every time I go, I found something broken in the car, first time the breaks was not as I received the car, second time after 2 weeks of the maintenance the tires pressure is in error.

I don't make maintenance to the car to ruin it themselves, if they are not professional so it's better not to break a new car and give bad reputation to citroen worldwide

Citroen Citreon relay van, coolant issue caused engine to need replacing 19plate

I emailed couple months ago. We have a 19plate van just under 100,000miles. There has been an ongoing coolant problem from day one and every 6 months its been into garage for repairs, think it's been 3 water pumps and whole new housing and a few other things. We opened a case up over a year ago wanting this problem rectified before warranty ran out but never got any answers as to how to proceed. The Van was taken to dealership for mot and so they could price up extended warranty, I got a quote printed off with rough price of extended warranty but the following week we went to accept it they said never looked at the van so couldn't give it to us. All repairs and this was done at duthies of montrose so will be able to check apart from 1 water pump that was done at an independent garage during start of covid when duthies was closed and citroen refused to get it repaired until reopened. Van has now broken down again with serious lose of coolant which our independent garage has found out the whole head gasket and now entire engine needs replaced as it has boiled up so many times everything has fused together. We are now being faced with up to £8000 of work for a problem that was never properly sorted from day 1.

I would appreciate some answers on this as we cannot afford this and shouldn't even be faced with a new engine in this age van when the issue has been pointed out so many times

I did get a phone call back about 2 weeks after emailing first time and was told they would be contacting me the very next day, I'm still waiting to find out what's happening. Is there anyway I could get a set person to deal with this case as it keeps changing

Citroen Dear Citroen team I have Citroen c 5 aircross fell 2021 and I had problem since 9th April 2022 which was engine fault and couldn’t start engine

Since 7th April 2022 my car didn’t respond and couldn’t start engine even couldn’t open contact. after week end holiday , at 9th April 2022

I took it to Maintance Center where I used to do maintenance at it till now I haven’t my car fixed

First they told my it was PSI (control system) broke down then they change it but the problem is still happening I wanna have my car fixed or exchange it by another

2 months in maintenance is too long time to fix a new car

I own Citroën C5 shine aircross 2021, and I'm suffering of peeling in the leather of airbag horn cover, once i back to Citroën service center they told me this piece not available for now in Egypt, So please need your help and support here.

Citroen Quality of brake disks.

Dear Sir,

I own a Citroen C4 Picasso Feel 5K 1.6BlueHDi 120HP 20017 (Chassis No:VF73DBHZTHJ781347, Engine No: 10JBHD3087995) and it is a regularly serviced car. The car is used mostly at the city center with a few travels to other cities. The distance traveled until now is only 32 000 km and the front disc and pad servicing is required. I have used more than 10 different cars until now of which none of them required a disc change for such a low mileage. Although I am very pleased with the car, I hate to press on the brake pedal to hear that annoying noise. I could not believe that the discs should need to be replaced in such a low mileage and the the service also confirmed that the wear was acceptable, I agreed for the pads to be changed. But, the problem is worse now. The service advises that the car should not be washed when the discs are hot. This does not sound logical for me as I have some knowledge about the metals and alloys.

As this is the best car I have owned until now, I am really confused how you can use such a poor quality part in such a good car. I do not want to change the discs in the service since I have doubts that I may meet the same problem with the original spares. I will be waiting for your views and thereafter make a decision whether to proceed with the Citroen service or other alternatives.

Desired outcome: Please replace the front brake disc and pads with a better quality material.

Citroen Citroen C3 Profi fatal damage

Dear Citroen Team! My company owns 3 different types of Citroen light commercial vehicles. one Citroen Berlingo, one Jumpy, and one C3 Profi (also in progress buying a new C3 profi)

So long I was very satisfied with all these vehicles, but lately my C3 Profi during trafficking on the highway in Hungary had broken down. The car was delivered into service, where previously it was diagnosed to have serious damage. The camshaft chain has been torn causing fatal motor damage. It was surprising information for me because the car is only 2 and half years old, and has only 140.000 km on it. It was regularly serviced by the Citroen service company, and took care of its usage. Even the oil change period let It double every occasion. The car was ca. 95% of the highway used, with very gentle use.I turned first to the service partner asking if the repair cost at least could be shared, because by my judge this fatal damage happened due material trouble, and not the usage condition. They answered that it is over the guarantee period and that's why it is not possible to take into account my wish. Citroen I am complaining about broken headlights under the hood without any external factor.

İn August 2020, I received my C5 Aircross Feel Adventure vehicle from Citroen Çanakkale Aydoğanlar automotive in Turkey. I have a service report and an appraisal report stating that there is no accident or damage to my vehicle on the hood or elsewhere. However, although the connection points of the headlights under the hood of my vehicle have not seen any operation or accident, one of them is broken and the other is cracked. Also, my car is still under warranty.

And the number of the same car owners who came to the dealership that I received service from in Çanakkale with this problem is on the fingers of both hands..

When we took the vehicle to the service due to this grievance, the decision made by the service representative of the general directorate of stellantis, within the form created by the service dealer representative, was very worrying. The answer that the connection points of the headlights may have been broken due to the fact that the headlights of my vehicle may have been hit by the ball from the top of the hood of my vehicle or that it may have been of somebody leaning on the hood, astonishes me. It begs the question of whether this brand is made of such bad components. It is also stated that my vehicle cannot be evaluated under warranty due to the reasons mentioned above.

When we reached the General Directorate by phone, we had to deal with people who humiliated and caused us to have a nervous breakdown. When we went to their headquarters in Istanbul / Ataşehir to solve this problem face to face, we were not even allowed in by the security guards and no official came and took care of us.

The DID reports generated are not returned, I had no idea that the Citroen brand was managed so badly. that we would sell our Peugeot 3008 ® and buy another vehicle from the PSA group because of our satisfaction. It didn't turn out as we hoped. We tried many ways to let everyone know about our grievances. The doors were always closed to our face and we could not contact anyone in charge. We are constantly blocked.

I request you to take necessary action to remedy my grievance regarding this matter.

Desired outcome: I would like to use my rightful warrant of my car to change the damaged parts.

Citroen C4 catcus urea emissions fault

I have a 171 Catcus C4. This needs to be topped up by urea Ad Blue. At present my engine light is on stating that I need to put urea in. I have a full tank of urea in it but it is not pumping into the car. Due to my car automically stopping due to emission failure I cannot drive it. I have brought it to citroen garage who have informed me that this is a common problem as the urea erodes the tank in cars and my car will need a new emmisions tank which will cost anywhere between 1500 and 2000.. this is very upsetting as my car is only 4 years old and only have it for 2 years.

Desired outcome: I would like a new tank put in my car and stop making the tanks so the urea erodes them .

Citroen I have c5 air cross engine problems with burning the oil

It was brand new 2020 after 10000 km the motor has to much noise and I found the oil warning ⚠️ sing it was on for one day I went to service center for Citroën they did nothing and the same situation happened again I noticed there was critical problems in the engine consumption too much oil I did 50000 km and the sing alarm it was on again I need solution for this problem the car still new it was very nice car but the engine very bad the of the engine too loud

I payed too much money for a good car but it wasn't I Get sick form the provider el kassrawy group Egypt 2 years now suffering

Citroen Citroen grand Picasso 2008

I have citroen c4 grand picasso 2008 of which

chasis number : vf7ua9hzh45293395
till now i was very pleased by riding this car but unfortunatelly
lcd screen became defective now .Numbers it shows are not complete (some cell are missing arbitarily) electrcians advi̇ced me that to obtain new lcd film which must be replace with the defective one .Normally it shouldn't happen because we know that lcd's life time is much longer.
I could not find solution at citroen service in turkey if you help me i will very much appriciate .Best regards

Citroen Missing hebrew support in multi media device

Dear People,
I bought my new car, yes a Citroën c3 and I am very happy that my new one is a European car.
The problem I have is that the multi media device (radio etc) doesn't support Hebrew language.
1) Inutile to tell you that in order to search a local street in Israel Hebrew is required exactly as for searching a street in Paris Latin keyboard is required (AZERTY or qwerty).
2) android application like Waze YouTube and others are also required, how can I access / use / install them?

Citroen C3 aircross engine fault

Hi All,

I have been a Citroen C3 Aircross user for about 2.5 years. My car is 57k km. At the beginning of December, I wanted to sell my current car and buy a new 2021 model C3 Aircross. But when I went to my vehicle to get an appraisal report, I was told that the engine of my vehicle was faulty. And so I couldn't sell my vehicle and took it to the authorized service to see what the problem was. The service told me that my car's engine needs to be changed. I want Citroen to explain to me the reason why the engine of a vehicle at 57 thousand km has changed. In addition, Citroen Turkey told me that it could only give me 50% support, depending on the fact that my vehicle's warranty expired 6 months ago. Even giving such support means that Citroen admits that there is a manufacturing defect in the vehicle. If the engine of my vehicle needs to be changed, I requested that it be replaced free of charge and delivered to me. but Citroen Turkey did not accept this. In this case, I will go to the situation of seeking my rights legally, and thus I understand that Citroen does not support its customers.

Citroen Window regulator

Hi I have a Citroen C5 2014 with 30, 000 miles on the clock and about a month ago the drivers side window regulator broke so window would not open I had this replaced by Citroen nearly £500 it cost now the same thing has happened to the passenger side these parts should not fail in such a short period of time it looks like the parts were faulty and should be replaced free of charge as you cannot miss use opening the window

Citroen Critical spare part availability

Dear Sir / Madam,

I own a Citroen C5 with chassis number: VF7RD6FYC54027264 the date of the license being 15/12/2008.
I purchased the car in brand new condition from an authorized dealer in Athens Greece, since the date of its purchase all the services have been undertaken from authorized Citroen service in Athens, the logbook of technical inspections/service is available.

On 01/09/21 I was informed by the authorized Citroen Service company (Omega Hellas) that the "ABS Unit" which is a critical spare part for the car's operation is not available and has been marked as "NFP" (Production Stopped).
My car has been immobilized and if no solution is found it will become useless causing major financial damage to me.

I would like to inform you that during the purchase of the car or in the intervening period I was never informed of the risk of not availability of critical spare parts.
Please confirm as soon as possible that this spare part is out of production and not available and, if so, advice accordingly for the actions you will take to either provide the spare part or replace the car.

Citroen Hellas and Citroen Omega Hellas in Athens Greece will be notified of this complaint.

I am looking forward to receiving your answer.

In order to contribute to the understanding of the complaint, I believe that two points must be taken under consideration from Citroen in order to assess the issue.

1. The total number of Km of the car since I bought it (brand new) until now is 46, 700, as you understand this figure brings second thoughts about the quality and reliability of the model.
2. This unfortunate incident happens to a loyal Citroen car buyer, the three cars I have bought and used so far since the day I first bought my own car are only Citroen, namely Hot Saxo, Xsara, C5.
