This company charges you thousands of dollars to settle credit card accounts but then mishandles your money and lies to you. I've been working with Clearone since Dec 2019. I really didn't have any problems with them until January 2024 when I tried to pay my program off early. I contacted them via chat 2 times to ask how much I would need to pay it off early, and was given 2 different amounts. I talked to someone who set up a final draft to pay it off, and then about 2 weeks later I saw that they deposited all but about $200 of that money back into my bank account. I contacted them right away and was told the account was paid in full and this was a refund. They said to wait 30 to 90 days for a graduation packet will all of my settled in full letters in. Then 2 weeks after that I noticed my credit score was down 20 points. After looking into it I found that the last credit card settlement I had been paying on, was not only not paid off, but it was late. It took me calling multiple times a week, sometimes every day for them to finally contact that credit card and then send a payment in April. Every time I would talk to somebody I would get the "congratulations wait for a graduation packet" spiel and I would have to tell them it wasn't paid. The agents would never listen to what I was saying and I would have to repeat myself 3 times before they would pretend to help but in some cases would only mess things up more. After this last account finally got paid I was told that the global holdings account would be closed and any remaining money would be refunded. Also that the graduation packet would be available in 30 days. After 14 days and no refund I eventually contacted global holdings and had that account closed myself. I then contacted clear one again and asked about my graduation packet. After repeating myself to the agent multiple times and him at one point telling me I needed to give him a bank account number to set up a draft after he just told me the accounts were paid. He then said all my documents were in my portal. I told him that I did not have any new documents and he then said I would be emailed by somebody with settlement letters. The emails I got were from other agents also telling me the documents were available and that there was no longer a gradation packet. The documents they are talking about are titled settled in full letters but they are just the documents stating that a settlement has been reached along with the payment schedule. These are the same letters that have been available to me since reaching settlements back in 2020. So now after over 4 years of payments I have no proof that my accounts have actually been paid.

Contact ClearOne Advantage again and request a direct conversation with a supervisor to address the discrepancies and confusion around your settlements and graduation packet. Be clear about needing definitive proof of your account settlements. If necessary, keep a log of your communications for reference. Persistently follow up until you receive the proper documentation confirming that your accounts have been settled fully.
