Coinbase fraud | money chargeback
I got scammed out of my Bitcoin through coinbase. Debits were made through my cards for purchases that I did not effect. I was wiped dry! I called coinbase customer care and they say that it must have been me but obviously it wasn't as the money was not in my wallet and not even the bank could account for it. I came across the guy from welovetheearth040 @ gmail . com and they were able to get back almost all of the money that I lost. I am grateful
Coinbase log-in issue
Over the past week I have been unable to log into my account because the two-step verification process is not working. I have been unable to complete the log-in because Coinbase first send a code to my mobile phone that I have to input before moving onto the QR code. It used to work fine before last week.
I wonder whether it will all be fixed should Bitcoin prices fall. Let's see. By the way, I am not the only person experiencing this issue currently. According to the Coinbase website, all is fine, and nothing has been reported. Not true.
BTC and ETH
I sold $100.00 of BTC and $100.00 of ETH on 11/21/2020. As of today, 2/8/2021, the funds have not been deposited into my bank. I have submitted two support cases - #[protected] on 12/1/2021 and # [protected] on 1/26/2021 - with no response. As I've gotten no response to my two requests and it has been over two months since my initial sell transaction I would like to have my transactions cancelled and the amount of BTC and ETH placed back into my Coinbase account.
Desired outcome: I would like to have my transactions cancelled and the amount of BTC and ETH placed back into my Coinbase account.
Can't access my account
I have tried to contact this company multiple times with NO ANSWER from them. I purchased a new iPhone (same number) but my google authenticator will not link with coinbase for the 2 factor authentication they require. I've sent them my drivers license (front and back) but apparently it's not accepting that. I just want to be able to get into my account. PLEASE HELP!
Desired outcome: To get access to my account
My Account Access with Coinbase doesn’t work
Haven't been able to sign into my account since they went to a different verification system using a cell phone. They only have my landline number and all attempts at changing it have not worked with these geniuses!
I opened my account several years ago before cellphones were used for security. I receive notices such as credit cards expiring and tax documents available online but they text a landline as if it was a cell phone for the second part of security for web access. The help part is a joke because they only tell you things that can be done for problems created by consumers not by Coinbase! Support is impossible to reach as they use heavy duty screening to insure they can't be reached. Writing to them only generates a form email instructing to go back to the help list that doesn't include complaining about their service as an option but they do state you can't file a complaint until you do what can't be done!
Desired outcome: Access to my account would be a reasonable solution
Coinbase
Wow this company is not fit for purpose.
Currently waiting one month and coounting to sort my account, from updating due to eu legislation.
I've sent over 100 emails and notes, in over a month I've still not spoke to a real person .
This leaves your account locked and unable to trade, even thou coinbase has all the correct details.
Really a 2 minute conversation to sort has taken over a month and still no solution, this company put the cow in cowboys
Avoid at all costs
Desired outcome: Past that stage
100% you said it. This is how the operate.

Locked out of coinbase account
I have been locked out of my account for a week now. First I had a message that buying/selling was unabled as additional verification was necessary. This happened although I had traded several times before without any problem. I submitted the requested documents again and received an automated email informing that I was ready to go. But when I logged I was again asked to submit the same documents to verify my identity. This has now happened repeatedly. It is totally insane. I have contacted customer support but there has been no reply and it is unacceptable that my funds are inaccessible.
Buying xrp
I usually had no problem with coinbase. Then on 1/4 I successfully bought some xrp. Later that day I decided to buy more xrp. The page froze after I pushed the button to finalize the purchase. I backed out of the page and retied again for a total of 5 times. with the same froze page. Then trying again, they said my card was declined. I went and checked my bank account and it showed they had charged my account all five times, yet they still showed 0 xrp in my account. Complaining using their complaint for results in robot return email saying they are work8ng on it, but they don't actually follow up. Googling coinbase froze brings me to a page saying they were having problems with delayed xrp purchases and with confirming card identity. I subscribe to updates on the problem and they later say that problem is resolved. Their problem may be resolved but mine isn't. My bank says I'm out $603 dollars and my coinbase account still shows no record of these purchases at all. No follow up emails. Nothing. Don't use coinbase. It might work for you for a while, but when their system breaks, as they admitted it did, don't expect them to make you whole again. They've got to be doing over a billion in business and have no customer help line? I am very bitter and will badmouth them every chance I get as I expect them to continue ignoring me. $603 may be nothing to coinbase, but it sure is to me. I will never forget this.
I am [protected]@gmail.com
Desired outcome: give me back my money or give me my xrp
Coinbase locked out of account and I couldn't withdraw
I sold some bitcoin and wanted to withdraw it into my bank account. The transaction was made to sell my bitcoins but it never got sent to my bank account. I sold $6100 of my bitcoin and when I contacted coinbase support, they locked my account. I had to wait several days to get it unlocked and when I checked on my funds, it was not in my wallet anymore and no one from help was resolving my case. All I got was a generic email saying it's being worked on. It been several weeks now and I don't have my $6100 in my account and no one is answering me! On top of that, coinbase wiped me out of the remaining $2000 I had in there stating I owe them money? And liquidated that remaining $2000 to cover what I owe them? They are not taking any actions to look into my transactions and activity. I think this whole business is a scam. I am at a total loss of my funds. I have filed many complaints and hope they get shut down.
Unethical behaviour
I have been a Coinbase user for ages. But only recently I had to make the experience that my account became "temporarily disabled" for no reason at all. I didn't get an email or any other reason for this and I can't explain this to myself. I pay my taxes and actually live on Coinbase.
I think it is very brazen that not only I am affected by this, but also other people who stand there innocently and cannot access the account. There are people who live from it and Coinbase has no right to play a state bank and lock out foreign money that some people might need. Especially not without warning or an email explaining why. Why was my account blocked without any reason and without warning?
Why does this company not have a real phone number? Why does this company have their banks in countries where justice is slow? Yes, I have really contacted my lawyer and we are currently in the process of starting the whole process.
It seems to me that Coinbase is deliberately not reopening the accounts directly. I am not a US citizen, I have never been in this country or had never traded in this country. Why is my account "temporarily blocked"?
I ask for a statement. Or I really need to take further steps in public "Internet portals and news services on the Internet" to make the general public aware of my or our problems through Google. I am sure that some users will be curious about my texts about this company Coinbase.
You have really disappointed me Coinbase. No answer on support tickets or on telephones. You keep the money for no reason and leave your legitimate users
Sorry, account temporarily disabled. Please contact support.
For over a month I have not been able to log into my Coinbase account to withdraw my funds. I have left a few tickets starting with the 1st on May 11th 2020. Case #[protected] and Case #[protected]. On May 13th I received this response "Thank you for contacting Coinbase Support.
We have transferred your case to a specialist who will be able to assist you with this specific issue.
You will be contacted directly as soon as we have reviewed your case.
Please note, these reviews are typically completed within 5-7 business days but may take longer.
Best regards"
Its now one month later and I have not receive anymore information or messages from them and every case I have opened has not been responded to at all.
They have my money and I can't access it!
I am beginning to believe this is a complete scam site.
I had purchased some bitcon, Litecoin and XRP in 2017. in FEBUAary my litecoin and xrp was converted to bitcoin and the the bitcoin was transferred out of my account. My account was essentially wiped out. They then tired to buy 22K worth of bitcon from my linked bank account. Luckily there was not enough money in the account and they were not able to steal the money. I have tried to report to bitcon and they locked my account. Now I can not get the information, I need to file my police report for the theft. I cannot get anyone on the phone. they have absolutely no customer service. Everything is automated and frustrating. When I attempted to upload my information for verification it say my account is under another name.. This company is no longer credible.. DO No USE>
"account temporarily disabled"
I opened the account and it would not work until downloading drivers license with a pic from camera on computer, then it worked fine always until I did 1st bitcoin cash-out sale to my bank. It appeared to go smooth after connecting checking account but it said would take 4 business days for the transfer to my account. While in the account I tried to purchase $200 in ethereum but it did not finish when submitting. Then their website froze and all other websites worked fine. After a long freeze their page closed all on its own. After this I could never sign in again, ever, as it now always has a message that says "account temporarily disabled". I tried to call and phone number is deactivated for customer service so I sent emails but only received generic computer generated replies, never human! I opened my checking acount a couple of days later to find that coinbase had stolen $1600 from my account in numerous withdrawals all within one day in increments between $50 and $400 each time but the bitcoin cash-out was not there! The cash-out did arrive a couple weeks later but the missing $1600 was still gone and I could still never get back into my coinbase account even to this day so I was forced to report the fraud and have the withdrawals reversed! I am still awaiting the outcome past one month. I am still awaiting a human reply from coinbase support as all they send are generic computer non-human replies. One of these generic replies asked me to download my drivers license again with another computer camera picture which they already had in order to even open the account but the website would not function when I attempted this. They stole $1600 from my account... Stay far far away from coinbase, they are criminals!
Disabling my account
A few weeks ago, while I was on Coinbase.Pro, one of the feature called "Selected market" was unable which that was abnormal. I sent to Coinbase to let them know about the platform feature issue. Right after though, after closing the app and reopened it, it was working normal. But, in a few minutes later, the Coinbase.Pro lock me out. However, when I tried to access to my account, it says it was temporarily disabled.
I called Coinbase and talked to someone about the accessibility issue and she told me that I would get an email from them and respond it back. So I did.
A couple days passed and still I couldn't access to my account, so I phoned again. While I was on the phone with him, I discovered something weird on the email I responded previous day. The email was addressed to someone else name other than my name, but they use my email address to send it; I was wondering why they asked me totally unrelated questions. I didn't noticed it wasn't my name at the time when I was responding it back. So while I was on the phone, I brought this as well. Basically one of the Coinbase help desk mistakenly tried to fix someone else issue as mine and send the related email to me.
After going through all of these for several weeks, I've asked to respond more email from them and I did. Now passed more than one month and I still cannot access to my account. I've sent more emails about a week ago, but I have not hear from them. At least they should updated email, but nothing for over a week. I am very unsatisfied with how they they handle the customer accounts.

On 06.30.17 I was alerted by SunTrust Bank that "Unusual Activity had been transpiring on one of our accounts. Coinbase had been arbitrarily initiating transactions from the UK. I immediately notified SunTrust that I was going to close my account "Wallet" with Coinbase Global, LLC. Two months later I received a letter from their FRAUD department. When I had called the SunTrust Fraud Department I was elated that unknown to me that both Coinbase Global, LLC and I were under investigation! "Wallet" Upon completion of notifying Coinbase "That I wanted to closeout my "Wallet" in a professional capacity. We unfortunately joined on 04.04.17. USAA is an entity whose members are the U.S. Military, Veterans and our families. Every USAA customer service representative I had asked about Coinbase only had positive experiences and never heard of anyone ever having a problem. Very few had not joined or had family member[s] who were active duty or a Veteran have any negative experience or even heard of anyone having anything negative about Coinbase/GDAX. Also, they were promoting Coinbase on the USAA member's platform. Consequently, we joined Coinbase via USAA Savings and Loan Association, LLC. Also, we notified USAA via message on 06.30.17 because they were closed. The following Monday was 07.03.17 and when I had called USAA once again they stated that all of their computers were down and for me to call back on 07.05.17 Over the weekend I had begun to have anomalies on my Android and Computer Systems. They had morphed into perpetual Targeted Cyber Attacks. I called the Bay County Florida Sheriff's Department and they dispatched a very professional Deputy. He also, stated and listen to me call and leave yet another message that FRAUDULENT activities had been taking place! Coinbase sent me an email stating that I had emailed myself 30 ETH. Their graphics had made a mistake on this scam because they left off the letter ‘g' in my Gmail address that Alexx Herman had sent as an attachment to serve as proof. Soon thereafter I was locked out of accessing my Wallet. A few weeks later I was able to access Coinbase. However, I had terminated all of my Banking accounts. They were continuing to arbitrarily attempt to continue purchasing and they would not allow me to pay for a wire transfer for a fraction of the Digital Assets that they arbitrarily transferred a mire sum of USD to GDAX. Two years later they still have our children's college funds. We also, discovered that Coinbase initiates unauthorized USAA platform aggregation into any member of USAA.
Stunningly, we had discovered that USAA invested $75 million into Coinbase in 2014. USAA, Coinbase and Cross River Private Bank and Metropolitan Bank manipulates data and information on and off of their platforms. They have stolen thousands of Americans and millions of additional victims in over 90 known countries. They have corrupted former U.S. Justice Department prosecutor Kathryn Haun Rodriguez, Special Agent Allen Matthew of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Chief Douglas Weiner, Florida OIG of Prisons and many other known Agents, Officials and influential individuals and entities.
They were discovered on the LinkedIn platform. Having "PRIVATE" group meetings and many other crimes. They had used Googles G+ to access my and millions of computer systems, Android devices and backup systems. They can access every Gmail, Drives, Photos anything within the cloud and your computers anytime.SEE PHOTOS BELOW. Google knew and now they closed G+ in the USA. Fined 102 million Euros.
Coinbase had obtained a copy of the stolen software and tactics from the Central Intelligence Agency and National Security Agency. They synergized and continue to develop them under the ruse of "DISCOURSE" initially on their and GitHub platforms. In September 2017 I had ambushed John Jeffrey Marlin and another known nefarious individual on the GitHub, LLC platform [SEE PHOTO BELOW] they had initiated a complete Targeted Cyber Attack and obtained my entire families and two separate sovereign States and Countries personal, proprietary data and information. completely destroying 5 computer systems and Android devices. THEY ARE A NATIONAL SECURITY THREAT! Recently, Coinbase was linked to laundering money for HAMAS! Reference the 3000m complaints of SCAMS, FRAUD and Wire Transfer and other Financial crimes at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Over 200 pages of additional victims had managed to plea for help at the U.S. Securities Commission. Yet they had to have corrupted someone at the U.S. Futures and Commodities Exchange. They had recently placed one of their Vice Presidents there.
WE THE PEOPLE MUST ALL UNITE TO FIGHT THIS CORRUPTION and THREAT TO THE USA and what allies remain. Contact me on LinkedIn.
Respectfully,
Michael K. Zimmerman

Upon enter ring store I was told I could not use machine. I was told I had to do it on my phone. This was told lad to me by a tall African American guy who spoke Spanish. Coinbase locked my account unexpectedly, and I have no way to contact support or verify my identity. This will cause a loss of over $7000 if not recovered. After over 100 phone calls and multiple emails, I'm not getting any help whatsoever with my account. Apparently, I'm not the only one experiencing these problems as these complaints are becoming more and more common. What a shame; the concept of cryptocurrency is splendid, but the thieves and fraudsters at Coinbase are making this new world currency look more and more like a 'fad'. I'm devastated!
I was ripped of 1.5 btc
I had a bad experience in trading. I did lost 1.5btc in total and whenever I try to cash out one story or the other keep coming up to me at every giving point of time so i gave up on them. After several weeks, I came across this agency, expert recovery that helped me get back about 75 percent of my lost funds. I learnt there is a class action proceeding, but I believe that takes more time and money paid to lawyers is way expensive. You can talk to a recovery expert, ASHERELLAZAR on protonma1l
why did coinbase locked me out of my account
Locked my account without reason or prior notification and require passport details to unlock.
They choose to obtain personal data rather than looking after my hard earned money. Over $94, 000.
When I was fed up with there customer care, owenbarreth at gmx d0t c0m
Helped in recovering close to %65 of the funds for me
I will certainly look elsewhere in the future.
I don't hold out much hope of deleting my data either, what gdpr, but at least they won't be able to retire on what money they did have.
