missing money
During Sept/Oct., last year I visited Coles supermarket in Subiaco W.A. There was an ATM in the downstairs area, went to withdraw money and found $80 dollars. I did the honourable thing, as did not know where to lodge it, took it to customer care in your store, who sealed it with my phone no., to be lodged in the safe, said if unclaimed would belong to me. I rang in Dec., and was told still unclaimed and would have to wait a little longer. After that I have been in numerous times to the store, been promised phone calls regarding the matter, never happened, ultimately the new store manager informed me he knew nothing about the matter, unbelievable. Rang your customer services helpline from the Internet, appalled, said all they could do would be to contact the store concerned!
I am totally disgusted as having been told it was still there after nearly 3 months, then for it to disappear seems very strange. Although the money is not the issue, I feel that there has been some dishonest practice. I must have enquired a dozen times, in fact one one of your very helpful assistants on the service desk requested several times that someone should contact me, conveniently they were always unavailable! As a senior I can not believe that a company of your standing would consider this to be satusfactory practice, am certain the public would be appalled.
Thank you for your attention to this dishonest catalogue of events,
Paula Hatch
disrespectful behaviour
During my shopping today at Coles store in NSW Fairfield 2165, I asked from Amanda to provide me with a bag. She didn't and she let me pack my items by myself justifying her behaviour by "she didn't hear me"!.Also, she didn't hand me the receipt and the change. I picked them by myself.
I felt disappointed by what is supposed to be a professional respectable service. If you are trying to repel your customers, you appointed the right person there.
In case that Coles employees are not trained appropriately, the first thing that the cashier should do is to ask the customer ; do you need a bag?
You lost a faithful customer today because of this disrespectful behaviour.
pricing
Last week I bought Maltezer chocolate on special for $2.25 I'm sure that's special price but checked docket later and was charged $4.80 then today Arnotts shapes charged $3.00 instead of $1.75. This happens quite a lot and I know I could go back to store and complain but I work full time and weekends so getting to do my shopping in between clients is hard without having to return again. Surely the prices are checked as I'm not the only one that would of been charged more. This was Craigmore Coles that I go to and staff are fantastic but it's a costly mistake happening. Thanks
charitable donations
I notice a worrying trend at Coles to force customers to support charities. When I buy products I am forced to support charities that I may or may not support. If this trend continues I will cease supporting my chosen charities which I donate to privately. I object to Coles telling me what charities to support. Coles job is to supply groceries at the lowest possible price not to engage in superfluous agendas or causes. If you want to help society just supply the goods at the lowest price, it is that simple.
fresh food
hi at my coles Laurieton nsw supermarket they redone our supermarket a few months ago now each week when I go into get speciels on advertised appells they arenot avaible the store worker said they don't have the specials because they have not got the room and stands to put them in now they have the dearer ones but not the specials not good enough out to wollies now peter
airconditioning way to low
I was doing my shopping at Coles Forster NSW and as it was a chilly morning I was dressed warmly but on entering the Coles store I was immediately confronted by
the damp coldness. I was forced to do the necessary shopping and leave, which
was hampered by the self service checkouts being cordened off and closed. The
checkout personal were experiencing the cold as well.
After about 2hrs at home I had to retire to my bed with extreme pain. I had got
a chill in the bladder. I was disabled for 48 hrs approx;
I am 71yrs old so having this complaint is not a mild condition and takes its tole
on my health.
This situation should be looked into before someone, or even my self, become
seriously ill or worse.

coles cat food
We normally purchase coles cat food in packs of 12, but recently they seem to be always out of stock, but coles now are selling them loose for 60 cents each.
The normal price for the box of 12 is $6 and now i find my self paying $7.20 for the same quantity.
Surley if we buy 12 loose we should only need to pay for the bulk price of $6.
Coles In Wallan is the shop in Question, not sure if this is happening in all coles stores, but i believe this is not fair?
self service
The self service machines at the warrawong store were designed by an idiot, people go in with shopping trolleys and you can't use adjoining machines without fighting your way through. 9 times out of ten its mostly card only, if you haven't got a coles bag you can't use your own. You need to go to Woolworths and they are far better I have no trouble. I have been a coles shopper for forty years, you have forgotten customer service. I have disabilities in legs and arms nearly every time I go in your store in warrawong nsw I have a problem things blocking the lane ways and they are not wide enough. I have had me feet ran over three times by electric scooters. Woolworths in Wollongong I never had any problems.
prawns, bread, fresh veg and fruit.
Clifton Beach store is an absolute disgrace selling stale bread, mouldy fruit and veg on a regular basis. Today 25 May I purchased fresh king prawns and on peeling them I found them to smell heavily of ammonia, a clear sign of not to be eaten. I realise we are regional but to have such poor quality on such a regular basis is appalling for a big supermarket chain. There is no excuse for selling lettuce that is yellow inside the pack, apples that are brown on being cut, carrots that are soft when the pack is opened, potatoes that are brown and soft inside, onions that are soft and unuseable. I could go on but I suspect nothing will change with my complaint. I understand managers have targets and profits to meet, but this is beyond joke. When the store opens the shelves aren't filled and there is a general lack of service to customers. Yes you can take take things back, but it is inconveniant and surely it shouldn't happen in the first place. Thankfully we have a Woolworths at Smithfield.

bad management
I am very disappointed with Coles in general if what I see at your store at Halls Head W.A. is any indication for the future. The store itself is a very unhappy one. I visited their on Tuesday 7th April to pick up a couple of things and I thought it appeared to have improved with staff actually smiling. That unfortunately was short lived when I visited again the following Tuesday the 15th and could feel it was just the same as before. The only staff members that take the time to speak to you are the butchers which I have been told by your opposition they will be going soon which will be a very sad day for all.
It appears that the butchers and maybe 2 other staff are the only males with your all female staff. I must say it is not a very good look for Coles if you are only employing females in the near future especially on the checkouts when males are usually very polite and friendly. I am not saying that the staff you have aren't polite but something is very wrong when all your staff spend most of their time looking around to see who is watching them, maybe the store manager hasn't been trained to notice or your area manager doesn't really look when they visit, that is if they do actually visit.
job related issue
Dear HR Officer,
I hope you are doing good !
My name is Khurram Raza and I had been working with Coles Services Since June 2014 till Feb 2019 at Wyndham Vale, VIC, 3024 (Manor Lakes) store and most recently worked with Coles Services Saturday & Sundays ( 5 Am - 12 PM) till Feb 2019.
In the Start of this year the Manager of the Store Mr. Imran and myself had the conversation and I told him that I want to change the department but I mentioned to him that if I change my department I want the same days i.e Saturday & Sunday but different timings i.e from 7 pm - 12 pm. The manager told me that he needs people like me who can work hard and are reliable and told me that I don't need people who takes their days off from work and told me that he has not seen me taking my days off and I am up to his expectations and promised me he will give a permanent Roster and Permanent Hours.
I also told him if you need me casually other than Permanent hours I will be happy to do it.
Jan 16, 2019
He promised me verbally that he will give a Permanent contract and asked for my availability other than Saturday & Sunday and asked me to send my current roster which I did texted him.
Jan 28, 2019
Mr. Imran promised me that He doesn't want me to lose any money from what I am earning at Coles Services Department and asked my availability other than Saturday * Sundays and asked me to text him my availability other than Saturday & Sunday and promised me that he can Give me Wednesday - Saturday 7 pm - 12 Pm as Permanent but told me that he can't give me a Permanent roster on Sundays but promised me that, Sunday shifts normally goes to the person who works on Friday & Saturdays and in addition also promised me that any public holidays will go to me.
He once again assured me that he wants people like me and as I am from Pakistan just like Manager as he is from Pakistan too and he will look after me in every aspect and whichever store he gets the transfer he will take me with him as he said that he wants to build a long term reliable team.
The same day, I sent him the roster he promised me which I will get.
He also suggested to let my current Coles Service manager know that I wanted to move to Grocery Department.
I gave my current manager 2 weeks notice period and when the notice period finished, I started working within the Grocery Department.
March 04, 2019
As I had started working for the Coles Grocery Department. but I was not getting the shifts by the Duty Manager for what The Manager Promised to me, so I sent him a text again stating that, " Duty Manager says he can give me Wed - Saturday 7pm - 12 pm but he can't promise Sundays and the duty manager suggested to talk to the Manager and I reminded the Manager about his promise and commitment he made to me.
I met Manager again and he said as I am going overseas for my holidays once I will be back he will give me a permanent roster.
April 17, 2019
After I returned from my annual holidays they didn't give me a permanent roster and I texted the Duty Manager and told him that I can't work the 3 hours casual shifts as this was not done between myself & the Manager (Imran) and reminded him that I left Coles Services because Imran (Manager promised me that he will give me the committed roster as a permanent member not casual), and I texted him saying if he can't give what was committed I need to talk to HR.
The same time instead of replying to my text he called me and told me that He gives a F... if I go to HR or not. After few minutes I received a message from Imran (Manager) asking me to meet him next day which I did and he asked me what do I want, I told him give me what ever you promised and if you can't give me at least give me a permanent roster on Friday & Sunday ( 6pm - 11 pm) or 7 pm to 12 pm. He once again promised me that he will ask Rio (Duty Manager) to make a permanent roster.
Even after two weeks noting happened and I called him on Friday and asked told him that Rio (Duty Manager) not even giving me any shifts and reminded him about my permanent roster and he said h will give me this week.
On Monday, I called him and he said that he can't give me a permanent roster. I told him that how could you do that you promised me that if you leave Coles Services because I like your work and I need people like me you will give me permanent roster and enough hours so that I won't loose what I was getting.
Now, I am just getting 3 hours a week or 6 hours a week, which is quite less for my family and kids to manage also they promised me a permanent roster which now they says they can't give.
It is please requested to verify these details from the manager and also I have a witness who might witness. I also texted Manager & Duty Manager and reminded them them what ever they promised me but they didn't bother to reply only because if they had replied it can be used as an evidence which is quite deliberate from their side. They were receiving my texts but not responding to them.
As I told you that I am just getting 3 hours shift in a week or if I am luck enough 6 hours, my earning has been restrained by their false promises.
It is Please requested to resolve the issue ASAP other wise I have no option other than Fair Works Commission or Legal Court of Justice, because I am 10 % right and they are 100 % wrong.
Please contact me at [protected] or reply back to this email if you need further Clarification.
Regards,
Khurram Raza
chicken weight
I was wondering if there had been issues with incorrect weights on large packs of chicken. I bought a pack from Coles St Agnes which was supposed to weigh 1.421kg. I need a specific cooked weight of chicken to prepare meals for my body builder son. I have been purchasing this amount of chicken for his meals for 6 years now and never been short of chicken. I usually have anywhere from 1 to 3 half breasts over. Today I was 60g short. This resulted in having to go back to the store to buy a small pack which cost me $12. There should have been ample in that $9 pack of 1.421kg as it always has been in the past. I would appreciate you checking if there is a problem.
Regards
Cyndy Nelson
check out
We are not happy about the check out service, since the removal of the plastic bags and now we have to bring our own some of the people who work at the check out don't think it's their job to pack the groceries into the bags any more and they expect us to do it, it's very annoying it's not a Aldi store and they used to do it in the past so instead we'll go to Woolworths where they have a better system of doing it plus they pack the bags themselves, making it much better

customer service complaint
Hi, I have experienced a very inappropriate behaviour from one the staff member tonight 18th May 2019, approximately 9:30 pm at Coles Summerhill store while paying at the register, waiting to be called, she pointed finger at me and my partner to approach, I told her if possible next time not to show finger as I find it inappropriate, she screamed and said if you don't like it go away. I asked for a manager on duty and spoke to him he said her name is Nicole and his name is Peter and he will talk to her. I have no other choice than to leave this issue to be reviewed by someone as it was a second time to experience a very rude behaviour from same lady. I shop in this store regularly and I am always welcomed from every staff member who are very polite and compassionate so I find this lady very unprofessional. Receipt number 4569 total payment of $91.30.
Please kindly investigate the issue and let me know of the outcome, best regards

To whom may concern, today 10th of Jun 2019, me, my wife and my nephew went to Casula mall coles to buy some cold meat from deli section, there was elderly lady standing in front of us, the gentleman behind the counter asked whose turn was next, I referred to the elderly lady, she couldn’t explain what she wanted properly, cause she didn’t know English well enough, I tried to interfere because I completely understood what she wanted (having the same background) suddenly the gentleman in stead of accepting my help he went to ask the manager to come for help, in the mean time he stopped serving, I asked him (if you don’t want to serve her, it is my turn to get served) his answer was (my manager is coming to serve) I admit that we were separate customers and I was trying to help. For no reason we waited till the manager came after 10 minutes, the employee went and discussed something with the manager, she came over to me, I asked her why he is not serving me if he didn’t want to serve the old lady (in stead of listening what happened from my mouth as well and simplify the situation, she just went off at me and accused me being rude) I had no choice except to leave the store, I am asking the customer service managers to watch the videos from the recording cameras and to judge if I had wrong behaviour.
I can not believe she even did not give me a chance to explain myself and she didn’t care if we leave the premises or not, if this is the customer service you are being proud of I urge to reconsider whom you are hiring and controlling this type of situations.
Kind regards
Harry

coles floreat perth wa
In the last 2 months Coles Floreat Perth WA is an absolute waist of time to go shopping! At 10:40 this morning there was very limited stock, the salads were low, all through the store there is stock shortages. This is frustrating; I went to Woolworths to complete my shopping list! These empty shelves are not a once off, Coles Floreat is going to up there game to keep their customers, I for one will go tomorrow straight to Woolworths where the shelves overflow with stock. These photos are only the first few rows I walked down, I turned around and walked out! Not good enough!
Thank you

coles, maddington branch western australia customer service
I went into the coles maddinton (western australia) branch to return two unused unopened lolly bags I had bought for a kids party and no longer needed. I had my receiept that was 1 week old and the staff that seved me was praja (the customer sevice manager - it said on her baddge). She very rudely told me to return the items to carousel where I had bought them and that they will not be refunding me at maddinton coles. I insisted that I had never heard of this policy before. She then said she will have to refund the items at the discounted price not the price on the receipt. So I asked to speak to the manager as she was just giving me a hard time for something that should have been so straight forward. What kind of managers does coles employ that don't even know what customer service is all about. Maybe this is a training issue as this woman was very rude and arrogant just wanting to argue something that should have never been an issue. It only became an issue because she is now manager at coles and can now throw her weight around. Good customer service? Shame on you praja for giving the customers a hard time unnecessary!
fresh strawberries
Last weekend I spent the usual 230.00 aud shopping at Coles Ingle Farm. The problem I had was my daughter came running in to me cying she said I was eating small black bugs in the strawberry container. After checking the other 5 containers of strawberry 3 more had bugs, so the lot went into the bin. If I didn't have 2 beers watching the football I would of return immediately back to Coles Ingle Farm.. I lost money and my daughter said she never eat fruit from Coles again. Where's your quality control. Cost me 25 dollars in the bin.

team member
I would like an explanation as to why one of your team members Debby Di Giammarino who was working the Mowbray store in Tasmania was discussing my workers compensation payment with my Ex husband Dean Stephens. This is a breach of my privacy and a serious breach of my contract for my workers compensation claim which has since been finalised. One of the clauses of the contract was that it was not to be discussed so please explain how this has come about.
I would like this to be dealt with appropriately it is not ok for this team member to be discussing my private and personal information with anyone let alone my ex husband.
I would appreciate a response on how this has been dealt with.
I will also be discussing this with my solicitor.
Kind regards
Lisa Stephens
