rspca approved chicken breast
Just sliced into the end of the chicken breast I purchased this evening to make dinner, however I notice something odd, do you know how much brine has been used in just one small chicken breast for it to have been this stringy whilst raw?
I sliced just the end and find this flappy looking part from the top and it's the lot just rips away like nothing. It also looks like a tunnel through the chicken breast as if someone's pumped a large hose though to fill it.
I have photos and receipt.
Not happy and will be be complaining further, there is ensuring animals bred for consumption are done in a humane way, but to fill them up that much?
That's not even ok for humans to eat and just to make it weight more to jack up the price?! What a joke, this needs to be looked into, either you're doing this or your supply chain and we all know the supply chains have orders.
Please contact me regarding this and provide feedback as to what you're going to do about it.
Coles store manager at morningside, qld
Good Afternoon,
I am hoping this complaint can be dealt with and taken seriously.
My partner and I shop at Cole's in Morningside, QLD on a regular basis and always spend a good amount of money with a large family.
Cole's at Morningside have always been hard work to return an item, but the staff are normally polite so we are patient and polite in return.
Today 01/03/19 we returned x2 packets of Gillette razor blades, three packets were brought as my partner was not sure which one I required for my razor.
The items are not cheap at $45 for 8 blades so obviously we do not want to keep incorrect blades.
We have always presented the goods with our credit card and a refund is given even after sometime but we get there.
The store manager at Cole's in Morningside today informed us it can't go back on the credit card and a Cole's card was given as it was over $5.
The Store Manager said it was Cole's policy to do it this way, this has never been the case before, it's never been mentioned on any return we have done over $5 ever.
So we questioned the Manager's decision and he looked at us very rudely and again told us it was Cole's policy and that was that.
We asked him to show us where this information was and why is it not on display so we know as we approach the counter.
Now apparently he does not have the time to be finding the information for us and just stood there staring at us with a smirk on his face.
I'm not one to complain and even when there is a store manager who is rude and ignorant to my face I can still ignore it.
But when he starts to talk in a condescending tone at my partner and says that's all I can do goodbye and have a lovely day with a childish smirk on his face.
I'm sure you can imagine my annoyance at this very rude and condescending store manager.
I would like this looked into please as I do not believe Cole's would want a store manager in any of there store's like you did have today at your Morningside store.
Please keep me informed via email of the steps taken in this matter to resolve this condescending childish rude store manager. My email address is [protected]@yahoo.com
I am hoping that Cole's will take this seriously and win back our confidence in Cole's and our very large family can be appreciated in the money we collectively all spend every week.
Thank you in advance
Michael Taggart
stikeez
I shopped at Coles Green Hills NSW and was given some stikeez as I meet the criteria. Imagine my Grandchildrens disgust when two of the packets were only filled with air. Does this happen alot or was I just one of the unlucky ones. I would like to ask you to replace these empty packets with 2 filled ones as a good will jester to a loyal customer for over 20 years.
Oops, autocorrect got me... should say "air-filled" above, but can't find an edit function.
I received an air-cooled stikeez packet from my local Coles today.
Guess it's not just a one-off...
vegan and gluten free products on same shelf
My husband is celiac he bought sausage rolls which he thought was on the gluten free shelf of coles but it was vegan only.
Why are these toxic products near the gluten free products.
He is now in bed being ill.
When he eats anything gluten he vomits and has terrible bowel movements for 36 hours, there is no medicine that can help him.
I would like coles change the product shelf in the freezer section to accommodate all celiacs.
The sausage roll he ate was fry family food co 4 meat sausage roll 400g
rude customer service
I have been shopping at the Park Centre Victoria Park Coles store for a number of years, I try to avoid the checkout run by KAT as she is always rude, painfully slow and has no idea how to pack a bag. On thursday 28th Feb 2019 at 6.20pm I was standing 3rd in line at another checkout when an employee told me to go to the express lane as there was no one there (I had about 25 items) I saw it was KAT but had lost my place in the other line so proceeded to place my shopping on the checkout. When all my shopping was put through, before she handed me my reciept she started to tell me off for using the express lane, pointing to the sign and telling me to learn to read! I explained that the employee who was now standing near her in the smoke shop had told me to go in the express lane, she turned and started telling that employee off for sending me there.
I really feel that this employee would be better suited eleswhere in the store or at the very least recieve some extra customer service training.
chainlink fence
Coles Byford WA erected a fence between themselves & Woolworths it is impossible to walk or drive between these stores it's insulting making such an inconvenience for our community it's entrapment and needs to be rectified asap my family shop at Coles generally but we will be boycotting Coles Byford & all Coles Stores in WA until they put customer before profits it's a disgrace.
stikeez
The toys given as a collectible reward to kids, who are generally shopping with parents hence under 5 are labelled not suitable for children under 3. They are ovbviously choking hazards. Are they to be held responsible.
It is almost criminal, in the light of the worldwide plastic crisis to flood the market with small bits of junk that not only could kill children but countless wildlife for generations to come.
When will it stop, people will have to be made accountable by law and prosecuted, in the very near future.
Can you also provide a topic called pollution.
online shopping
Online home delivery shopping
I'm requesting packing staff are trained to the dangers of RAW chicken juice contamination and NOT to put raw chicken in bags with other items.
This week the bottom of 1 of my grocery bags was full of RAW chicken juices and I've thrown out everything in it this included kids yogurt pouches, cheese and other items valued $75.
A bit of common sense please
floor cleaning
I have just been to the store which is fairly busy today being a sunday afternoon. One of the staff members is using the large industrial floor cleancleaner and making the customers move for him. Naturally I assumed there must have been a large spill for this machine to be used in the middle of the day so proceeded with my shopping. I then went to the self serve checkout to purchase my good and to my surprise the staff member manouvered the large machine into the area blocking the customers and asking them to move so he could clean in front of them. Why would he be cleaning with the large machine during the day and inconeveniencing the customers unnecessarily in the process? The floor was not even dirty in the self serve area. It was utterly ridiculous and may also be a safety issue with young children around.
lamb racks
It used to sell the the very popular and well displayed lamb racks at the butcher counter, but they have recently been taken away from the butcher department, I have to go to another butcher at the same shopping Centre for the racks now. If you don't restore the racks back to the butcher counter, you simply force me to take the business to somewhere else.
the new stickers that you are giving away.
Hi I have a concern with the toy vegetables you're giving away. Judging by what i've seen these items have the potential to kill a child. Children are known for putting items in their mouths and these stickeeze are just the thing that would get stuck in the throat and choke a child.
I hope coles has considered the risk to children and the leagal issues it could cause.
Thankyou.
David.
During my early days of binary options i fell into a lot of online scams, trying to trade bitcoin and invest in binary options. Which nearly wrecked me out, making me loose up to 259k very confused on what to do until my boss introduced me to an online recovery agent> A recovery expert who helped me recover all my money back from those scammers and he's able to recovery money back from any form of scam.
I agree, they are a very low grade attempt, just pure competition with no thought about risk or consequences, to households with multiple aged kids, its no use labelling them for children above 3...
Plus they will end up in landfill or washed out to sea somehow, killing countless fish and birds.
WHAT DO THEY THINK ANTI PLASTIC AND ALL THE FUSS IS ABOUT, THE PLANET IS ON THE BRINK OF AN EXTINCTION EVENT AND THEY GIVE CHILDREN DANGEROUS GOODS, WHO ARE THEY KIDDING.
lack of registers open on a daily basis
This is a complaint regarding the lack of staff on at this store.
Since the new manager started (blonde female - extremely abrupt, rude & no
consideration for customers)
Every day/afternoons - there are never any registers open for customers who
have big orders.
The world doesn't consist of single people & school kids.
What are the families supposed to do with trolleys full of groceries?
I have started shopping at Woolworths as I cannot do my shopping at the
Parramatta store due to the lack of registers open in the afternoons.
I have to line up either at self serve where it is extremely hard to put through a $300 order or go to 12 items or less to be stared at & abused by other customers.
This is no better on the weekend.
I don't see any full trolleys at the store anymore - they're all going to
Woolworths.
Your company is losing a lot of customers due to this bad shopping experience.
online shopping and billing
ordered groceries online.
supposed to be delivered at 5pm but we got a phn call from driver at 1015pm advising he was outside but couldn't get a park. He wanted me to provide parking but Im in a block of units with no parking for a big truck. He said he would get back to me. at 1030pm I rang and it went to drivers voicemail. We never heard from the driver again and waited in our apartment til 1130pm before we decided we had been given bad service. The next day I rang Coles. They cancelled the failed order and said they would organise a refund. He then arranged an alternate date for the repeat grocery order, He said we would not be charged for the groceries.
I aske specifically if the groceries would be free . He put me on hold for 10 minutes and came back and said yes.
The groceries were delivered. No paperwork other than the regular itemised list.
4 weeks later Coles advises there is an outstanding amount of $121.
I have phnd now 3 times since and explained and asked for the voice tape to be reviewed and me also to listen to it. I am 100% sure I am not mistaken in my understanding of the customer recovery that was offered.
I have phoned again today as my account has been blocked. I have not heard from Coles since the last conversation over a week ago re the voice tapes or final resolution. Very poor follow up service. Operators have no authority to make a decision.
This is at least the 3 rd time I've had an issue with Coles online, mainly to do with the delivery process.
mobile phone recharge voucher
I'm going to coles 16/2/2019 time 17.52. Served by Rabia. I tell her I need lycamobile $30 recharge. She give me optus recharge. At home when I see voucher. I see its wrong. Next day I going coles two time morning and evening return to voucher. But both time they refused me. I said it's not my fault. they said I can't do anything. I want my money back.
stikeeze
I am extremely concerned about the new Coles giveaway "Stikeeze" because of their high risk as a potential choking hazard. The size of the toys and the shape of them, in particular the orange one, poses a very dangerous risk for children to be given. Because of the rubbery texture of the toy the choking hazard would be even worse because they could not be coughed up. My 5 year old grandson opened up an Orange Stikeeze yesterday, and the first thing he did with it was to put it in his mouth to wet the sticky bit. I was alarmed when I actually looked at the toy and saw what a choke hazard it was. When I went back to the store the manager showed me that in completely illegible small print there was a warning sign saying that the toy poses as a choke hazard for small children. Are you kidding me? No parent could even read the warning. They trust that they are giving their child something safe. I am really concerned that some parent will give these to their child while driving home from the supermarket completely oblivious to the danger they are putting their child in. I will not be happy until they are recalled.
stikeeze
these 'toys' are a choking hazzard for children. (especially the small orange one). there may be a warning on the pack saying not to give to children under 3, but it is VERY small and hard to see and it is not just under three year olds that are at risk. my 5 year old son put it in his mouth as soon as he opened it (trying to wet the sticky part). it is the perfect size toy to get stuck in a small child's airway and should be recalled ASAP before anyone actually gets hurt.
customer service
On our way out to the register today (17/02/2019), I remembered that we need some lemons for the fish fillet and told my husband that I will just get lemon and meet him at the register. When I was already in front of the lemons the customer service man (tall and thin) told me to leave and didn't not allow me get even just one lemon because it's closing time. I told him "just one lemon" but he (quite rudely) told me "No, you have to leave now! The registers are closing". I said ok and did not argue but I am sure there could have been a better way to tell your customer that you are closing without telling them to "leave now" like you are kicking them out. I am not a native English speaker but I am sure that was a poor choice of word to tell your customer to "leave now" because you already want to go home. That kind of treatment left me feeling like I wouldn't want to go back to that store anymore. At least at Aldi they don't tell you to "leave now".
Could I register my dismay at Coles promotion of the new plastic "collectibles". Plastic in our environment is already such a huge problem that to add more is thoughtless and totally unnecessary. I do hope that this is the last of this type of incentive to shop at Coles. Perhaps I should shop at Safeway until the promotion ceases.
negligence
I lifted a spray container of Exit Mould from the shelf on Sunday February 17 at about 11.40am. The spray lid was not screeed on properly. As I lifted it the bottle came away from the nozzle dropping to the floor. The liquid flew into my face and left eye causing great pain and redness. I am in pain and spent the day trying to flush my eye with water
staff member cheryl
I am extremely disappointed with one of the staff members that works at Coles Caversham (Cheryl). It has been in two occasions that Cheryl has refused to serve me at the cigarette counter. The first time Cheryl was standing behind the counter sorting out some paperwork, she saw me and continued her job, then after few minutes said hi, I asked to purchase...

I used to have a pleasant and warm shopping experience at Coles East Village Zetland where employees were willingly able to chat and help my shopping queries. As of late, I have noticed the social atmosphere between employee and customer being dismal. Is this due to new managerial factors where employees cannot have a friendly chat to customers?
