chocolate
Hi
Daily I visit a Coles Supermarket to get groceries, I extremely annoyed with the standard on product or how staff stack the shelves with products in particular chocolate. I am a chocolate addict and buy a lot and I mean a lot of chocolate daily. Each time I buy Cadbury or Nestle family blocks and especially violet crumble and crunchie bars they are broken or discoloured. What I mean by broken is that each one i pick up or buy is broken and shattered which means the bars are crap and i HATE eating broken chocolate it wrecks the chocolate. in relation to the family blocks I buy at least at a min 6 per week, on which yet again they are broken or discoloured like an off white colour, this means that they are storing them in the sun or freezing them then defrosting to put on the shelves. Not happy at all, i pay good money for these and expect a good product on which your not providing. when I have complained to the stores they tell me to write to you. OMG!@! I'm unsure why these are broken but they are each time especially from St Agnes and Tea Tree Plaza stores in SA. I'm so annoyed with the standard on which you either buy or staff stock the shelves an don't give a crap that i buy [censored] products on which I will be going to woolies from now on. I buy a lot of food and products from Coles that this isn't acceptable and I'll shop somewhere else. Someone needs to have some form of quality control so customers don't get shafted. Money is hard enough to earn let alone wasting it on crap products from Coles. Fix this problem. I've tried to attached a copy of the receipt of purchase on the weekend, but again your silly site won't let me! Very angry customer!
negligence / lack of customer health & safety
Hello there
Whilst doing my usual afternoon shop today at Coles Eden Rise in Berwick 3806, with my 2 sons 8 & 6, I noticed that there had been some changes made to the store, which immediately flagged alarm bells for me. I've never had a problem with Coles, as a supermarket you are my preferred place to shop and I do so on a regular basis.
However I was deeply disturbed at the lack of knowledge, consideration and absolute disregard that you have shown for those people with allergies! Yes one of the biggest health concerns for young children, Even adults and the elderly.
As I was walking down the isle I immediately noticed that you had created an "Open Nut" Select your own section where nuts could be bagged on there own and easily left lying on the floor or easily even have people touching them and then leaving residue from these nuts on other items in the same isle created a huge danger zone!
My son is 8 years old his name is Andre, he is anaphylactic to nuts! I immediately with the mess of nuts everywhere along the floor and also along the side benches and isle where the nuts were, went immediately into PANIC mode, as all it takes is a simple touch of a Nut, a slight bit of residue to touch his skin and we have ourselves a life and death situation.
My question to you Coles is, how has this not come to your attention as a cause of absolute major concern? Luckily myself and my son are extremely educated of the importance of not touching nuts and making sure that he is kept well clear of any nuts product or residue, but my son could have simply brushed past your horrendously messy isle of nuts and put himself into an absolute life and death situation, this is not good enough, in fact this is sheer incompetence of your behalf and I a law suit waiting to happen.
What would have happened if my son had come into contact with the slightest bit of mess from this isle of nuts in an isle with other products, apparently the gluten free isle also, he could have died. He could have lost his life, I could have lost my son, even tho I also carry with me all the time the appropriate Medication for such a disaster if it were to take place?
Coles Management, this needs to be fixed before we have a serious problem take place, let's make a change before we have a deviating outcome, let's not let a death take place before you choose to change this setup.
There's no appropriate signage warning customers of the dangers they are entering and you and a major organisation have taken no initiative to put into place a cause of action to prevent something serious from happening.
I would love to work with you to make a change and prevent such devastation from occurring.
I look forward to hearing back from you, and should I not hear from you immediately, I will be looking at taking this matter further, as this is blatant negligence on your behalf and we could work together to make a huge change and show that coles does care!
Look forward to hearing from you
Kind Regards
Krystle Patterson
broccoli
A redback spider was found in our broccoli stem that had been bagged and sealed directly from Coles and refrigerated until opened. This left absolutely no way for the spider to have made its way into the stem except prior to our purchase of the product from the supermarket. Thankfully we noticed the spider before it could do harm, as my mother was chopping the product when the creature emerged from within the bunch. Being the second most deadly spider on the planet, we don't like to imagine what could have happened had she not noticed the redback and been bitten, and thus the much more immense implications this would have had on Coles. We still have the receipt to show our proof of the purchase of this product from Coles Doncaster (Westfield).

im complaining about rotten coles brand rspca approved chicken necks
Hi we have complained about the continuous purchase of rotten chicken necks from the Coles WA Vasse & Busselton stores Post Code 6280. I am sending this complaint again because i have just opened another pack that is completely rotten again today 3/5/18 7:59pm. When purchased these packs we transport them from your shop front to our home in freezer bags so at no point are we causing this problem. I will be contacting our local council tomorrow and asking for an Environmental Health Officer to look into this problem for us.
sms conmen
So I received a text message saying I've won a $1000 credit card and I need to accept it in 24 hours. The message display name came from Coles. I have a screenshot I can attach.
The sms displays no number either so I can't contact it back.
The website shown after the message I went to it and the picture below shows how the website looks like..
I pressed call and the options said I'd be charged for the call and I hang up.
Kindly advice
babybel lite cheese
On the 02 MAY 2018 I purchased a pack of babybel lite cheese from Coles Northlakes Darwin, with my faith I had in Coles freshness guarantee I purchased the item with out checking the best before date. I gave my three year old son one of the cheeses and after he started eating this he can to me complaining that his cheese tasting strange. I then when back to the packet and seen the used by date of the pack was the 13 February 2018. I am completely repulsed that Coles would have on there shelf a product two and a half months out of date, which I had fed my three year old son!
customer care
I was using your online shopping app I payed for my shopping and when it was delivered today I was told I need to pay again the delivery guy rang your customers care line to get some help and understand what was happening I was told it had declined even tho the money was in my account I then rang my bank who said it had been paid the customer care person on the phone told me that they are always right and never wrong on there end and that I needed to cancel my order so they did I have just received an invoice for a refund I am not impressed with how I was treated it was very disrespectful kind regards Sheree Rossiter

telstra mobile smart phone - 5 inch screen
On Wednesday evening (25/04/2018) these phones were on display at the cigarette counter in the Coles store in Lava Street, Warrnambool, with a yellow sale ticket attached to one box with the price of $59-00. I asked some questions about the phone and to read about the phone on the box, two customer service women assisted me and when I was satisfied it was the product I wanted I agreed to purchase it.
When one woman scanned it to the cash register it came up as $89-00, she consulted with the other woman who took the yellow sale tag to the manager. She returned and told me they could not sell me the phone because the sale had ended last Saturday (21/04/2018) and they could not sell the Telstra phone at the sale price. She tore up the sale tag.
I was taken aback and very disappointed, I felt sorry for the women who were very apologetic for the situation. I have since reflected upon the event and researched Australian Consumer Law for such matters and decided to submit this complaint.
What happened was wrong and unacceptable, I would like something done to rectify the situation. I have shopped regularly at 2 of the Warrnambool Coles for many years.
attitude of staff, bad behaviour
Was there at 28/04/18 about 3:15pm trying to buy their weekly specials Maharaja Basmati Rice 5kg. Spent some time searching, in the end went to Service Desk (happens to be mgr Lavina for raincheck qty two) who asked a staff Dominique to check availability. Dominique upon checking came back and said a new load is coming later today, can I come the next day to buy? (Ridiculous- what a load of rubbish!) I requested for a Raincheck and Dominique had written it wrongly (numeric 1) and I told Lavina I like two bags. Lavina told Dominique it was written wrongly, and Dominique became frustrated and threw the pen onto Lavina's front saying " You do it then" and walked off.
Felt sorry manager has to put up with this type of behaviour. Lavina wrote a new corrected raincheck again.
drovers choice corned silverside 2.1 kg
Purchased Drovers Choice Corned Beef Silverside today 28th April 2018 at Coles Westfield Chatswood NSW. Cost was $21.96 and had a best before date of 04/05/18. After cooking it I had to cut away about 400 grams of fat (unbelievable amount) and found the quality of the remaining meat to be totally substandard and indeed inedible. So much so that I wouldn't even feed it to my son's dogs let alone my family. Certainly burnt my fingers on this purchase. Never will purchase meat from any Coles store in future. Am totally disgusted with this. My advice to anyone cooking this meat is to place it in a big pot filled with water and spices with a stone and after cooking it for an hour and a half through away the meat and eat the stone. This is actually true.
toilet facilities
I shop regularly at Coles Medowie. I have two young kids (4 and 2). On a few occasions now I have had my 4 year old busting to use the toilet whilst shopping there. It would be fantastic if you could get some toilet facilities there instead of us walking across the road to Woolworths to use the toilet! I have on one occasion asked one of the customer service ladies at Coles Medowie if I could possibly take my daughter to the staff toilet and was refused! Lucky she didn't have an accident, which I'm sure would have been more of an inconvenience to them.
store
Your coles at wallsend plaza 2287 is closed at 9.50pm tonight yet the website clearly says anzac day trading hours 1pm to 11pm i have a newborn baby its hard getting out of the house for me atm my neighbour was kind enough to mind him so i could get here before it closed for formula and nappies - it should of had correct hours online i made the mistake this morning coming without checking the website n thought silly me ill go tonight n organise that ...im obviously a lot inconvenienced
customer service & staff
I shop at Coles south Grafton. I'm making a complaint about two staff members Kelly O'Shea & Adam Bevan they are very rude. As I asked them a question they snapped my head off. They are spreading rumours about the female security officer who used to work there. When they don't know the truth . They need to have respect to customers no matter who they are.
josh and nics italian style hazlenut choc gelato
This product has been advertised has the recipe used by josh and nic. It bears no resemblance to tbe recipe used by josh and nick on MKR and has such is false advertising. Coles is in breach of the regulations for advertising. Creating the impression that this is Josh and Nicks winning recipe and marketing has such so that consumers will purchase it.
customer service
Date 23/04/2018
Time:- 17:50pm
I was shopping at Coles Blacktown Westpoint. After I was finished paying for my items and was on my way out of the store an employee of Coles approached me. She raised her voice and said ' Hey you, I need to search your bag ', so I let her. Then she still thought I had something hidden behind me as she said ' have you hidden it behind you ' . At this point I sat forward in my wheelchair so that she could see that I didn't have anything. The employee was so rude and loud and at least could have been more discreet when the incident occurred. I felt angry and humiliated.
unethical behaviour
While shopping at Coles supermarket in Melton Vic 3337 on Saturday 21 April 2018 around 2PM I picked up some salted peanuts which had old packaging and best buy date was Sept 2017. Asked for Service manager, saw Phil and handed him the packet. Hope this isn't a common practice.Phil acknowledged that it was not acceptable and this matter was closed.
The other shopping went through checkout counter 10 and the receipt time was 2:01. The operator was Kylie. While she was scanning my items a man behind us started putting his items on the counter and hadn't used the dividers. Kylie in a raised voice said "Hey you, you, hey you' to get his attention and when he hadn't responded she repeated it slower and louder. I work in a large organisation and have been involved in customer service for the past 37 years and I would certainly not accept my staff talking to customers in that tone or manner.
As I was finishing loading my trolley, a young boy about 5 or 6 years old went to Kylie and said that his Mum tried to use the vending machine near the exit doors and that the item did not come out and they couldn't get the coin back out of the machine. Mum was waiting at the machine. Kylie said " I am too busy and can't do anything" Once again, if staff at my workplace engaged with customers in this way they would be immediately counselled. TOFU. Take ownership and follow up principle should apply. Even if she is busy she is obliged to transfer the matter to another work colleague who can assist your customers.
I have lived in Melton since mid 1970's and always used your supermarket in the past. I have seen unreasonable customers in there over the years but your staff have been courteous and business like in handling them. That is until last Saturday and I would now consider shopping elsewhere if this type of attitude towards customers is tolerated by the Coles management team.
Looking forward to your response.
sunrice 750gr sushi rice
hi there, I purchased two bags of sushi rice approx two weeks ago on 08/04/18 and have been stored in my cupboard until today when I opened the new bags to make sushi for my family. Soon as I cut the bag open a flying insect flew straight out of each bag with a couple more in each bag alive plus a dead one in the rice itself. just under the reseal strip is either the faeces of the insects or a cocoon. as a chef I was completely shocked to find this. I will provide you with some details of the product and have also sent a complaint to sun rice in order for somebody to act quickly and check this product in case there are more bags.
date of purchase 8th april 18
best before date 8th august 19
