store management
Peter and sam at your broken hill store are ### hopless managers. They wouldn't know how to organize a pisd up in the pub. Staff walk all over the top of them and they let staff do what they want because they dont like conflict. I hate working here and ad for the Muppets who made kimberly smith a manager ### she so bloody lazy. There are good people who work here and they have to put up with poor leadership
online survey
Hi
I have in good faith entered a coles online competition on at least 5 occasions. I have never won anything. My prize... Is 'unknown' call... After call... After call from here there and everywhere wanting something from me. I know I should know better... But I like many others am easy prey. Please coles. Just realise what these surveys, scams, marketing ploys are doing. I spend approx $300 per week at my local mornington coles and buy my liquor from first choice which I understand is a subsidiary company of coles. I am a business owner in a large and successful medical practice in mornington and mt eliza. I am looking forward to your reply. I ask what you are giving back to the local community and on a more personal note, what are you giving back to me.
Cheers
Jenny woodley.
comfy bots crawler nappies
I am So disappointed with the change of design of the comfy bots nappies, these were my go to nappy as my daughter is allergic to most other brands. Now they have changed she constantly is leaking through and I'm spending all day changing her clothes and bedding! So I will no long be able
to purchase this brand unless a miracle happens and they are changed back to the original design, which there wasn't anything wrong with them in the first place!
nappies
Purchased comfy bots nappies Toddler 50pk today, used 1 nappy- they leak within 1 hour of use, very thin, fit terribly, dont stay done up and nothing like what they used to be. Have used these nappies for over 6 yrs with multiple children. Very unhappy with the change of product. I used to prefer them over huggies but won't be using them again which is unfortunate as they are a good price compared to the other brands.
self serve checkouts
Something needs to be done about the self serve checkouts. They are way to small. Coles is the closest supermarket to me so I always go there, there is one check out open with a line so I'm forced to use the self serve checkout with 4 kids and half a trolly of groceries. There isn't even enough space to have a trolly there or room to put your groceries after scanning them. I always leave stressed and frustrated.
coles beecboro deli meats seafood tickets system not working poor service
I went to Coles today at beechboro in wa today morning and waited for 10 minutes and was not served. The ticket machine was not working and the only lady who was serving was ignoring us. The two of us who are migrants and didn't know each other questioned her about us waiting while she continued to serve other white customers. This partiality is so unfair why can't we have a simple system of issuing tickets and provide service based on the ticket numbers. What was totally annoying was she just smiled and walked away. I have been shopping at this particular coles for 17 years and this is the first time I found their service shocking. Someone from Coles please respond.

coles comfy bots nappies, walker 13-18kg 48 pack.
Hi just letting you know about the new nappies that you have recently changed to, they used to be a great product and the only nappies that I would purchase, but the new one's are terrible, the fit is bad, the absorbency is nowhere near as good as the previous product. The new nappies do not even last the night, the babies and their bedding was saturated in the morning. The grip tabs are week and stretch far to easily and allow the nappies to sage. They cut into their legs now and leave red marks on them. With the previous product none of these things never ever happened. I hope you can fix the problems with this newer unimproved unimpressive product. Feeling a little ripped off with this product unfortunately.
comfy bots unisex nappies (13-18kg)
You have recently changed the sizing of your comfy bots nappies they now cut into my daughters legs (size 13-18kg) your nappies were the only ones with a bit of extra leg space and extra space down the front of the nappy. Now your sizing is the same as any other brand as I have tried all of them with 3 baby girls. The problem with reducing nappy size is that nappy rash increases as the wee/poo is more pressed up against their skin. The next size up in the nappies is far too big for my daughter so now I have to deal with more nappy rash all over again after spending a long time finding the perfect nappies (yours) I am very dissapointed in your decision and I'm sure I'm not the only one out there who will complain.

frozen foods
To whom I visited your Supermarket at Southgate Plaza Morphett Vale on Saturday and done my weekly shopping I purchased some frozen goods from your store on purchasing these products I noticed they were soft not frozen when through the checkout I went to the service desk and explained that there may be an issue with the fridge she asked me if I saw anyone down there she called the Dairy mgr. Today I was in the same store and blow me down still thawed out product being sold to the unwhitting customer I called for the mgr Aidan I think it was and explained this to him you're company has broken the cold chain regulation and I am not happy about that you are selling product that can lead to food poisoning or at worst the death of a customer through negligence I told you mgr I will be writing to you and even to go as far as contacting the Health dept due to you're company's inaction
Then what are you doing about my complaint if you are the one answering
Why would you have a complaints dept when you don't answer the complaint
availability of coles brand "light vanilla ice-cream"
I have been a Coles shopper and flybuys customer [protected]) for many years and I live in Claremont, Western Australia.
Several months ago (Oct?Nov 2016) Coles Claremont W.A. underwent a layout change which impedes customer flow throughout the store and forces customers to walk full length isles to access the next row.
Isles become more easily clogged with shoppers unable to pass or take a turn into alternative areas at the half way space which previously intersected all isles.
I understand after inquiring that this was to create more storage space but it has made the store quite unfriendly to shoppers forcing them to traverse more distance to locate items. Obviously customer friendly layout is not important but additional selling space takes precedence.
I am amazed, as you have simply turned the store into a "Woolworths" clone and added to congestion in the store.
That is my first complaint.
Secondly, I have now requested 3 times (beginning Nov 2016) to have the Coles Brand Vanilla Light Ice-cream reinstated in the Claremont Store as it disappeared when the store was reconfigured.
In spite or re-assurances this would happen the store has still not re-stocked this item.
I now have to drive 5 KMS to Coles Floreat to buy this one item!
Please arrange for the store to re-stock the item asap as this is my preferred product and I am trying to stay loyal to the Coles Brand.
With such an unfriendly layout at Claremont and by ignoring customer requests Woolworths is beginning to look good!

While shopping at Coles at The Glen this morning I observed a young guy who was filling the bananas, go over to the bulk nuts, open the Liu to one of the bins worn dried fruit in it. He dove his filthy hand in, took out some fruit and ate it.
I went up to him and told him what he did was disgusting. I then went up to the service desk and asked to see the store manager. I was told by the lady there that he was not on duty today. I told her what happened, pointed the guy out to her then said I was never going to shop at Coles any more. I then went upstairs to Woolies and spent $320 on my weekly shop.
I find it disgusting that an employee would stick his filthy hands into the bulk food bin, it makes me feel sick.
Yours sincerely

telstra pre-paid 4gx wi-fi
This product is currently on offer in the Cleo's Catalogue @$29.50. I've activated a "spend $100 and get so many extra flyby points". As part of my recent shop, I factored in the purchase of the above. On reaching the check out, I was told that there was none available in the store (Diamond Creek). I pointed out that I was using the purchase to take me over the $100 mark. The cashier accepted my cash for the product and agreed to call me when it arrived in store (that was on Wednesday 11th January). I called by the store today because I hadn't heard anything only to be told that it may not in fact arrive! This means that I have paid for something which I won't get. There was talk of trying to get one from a neighbouring store.
How can you help me please.
Kind regards,
Gill Tharp

unethical staff behaviour
I am a disabled pensioner eho identifies as transgender/intersex I complained about a manager named zach stirring up homophobia amongst staff and customers.
Early yesterday morning I had purchased items totalling $85.
When I asked for my free cook book I was charged for it and it was not deducted. Because Friday was stinking hot I deceided to go to coles on the Sat morning ubfortunately it had faded the reciept.
As I was waiting at the service desk a senior female employee approached the service desk from the shop sideputting a pair of thongs on the counter saying "$5 what a joke" as she was looking directly at me standing their eith a cookbook and its reciept sticking out She then stood behind Mary who dealt with my concern.
Mary keep saying that the amount had been deducted but she could not see it. I believe that this was spoken in a very condescending tone of voice, it also appeared to reinforce what the female boss had said earlier.
I am made feel very unwelcome in the st Marys store because of the behavuliour of a few staff members
Having tallied up my shopping list on the calculator the amount was different to that on the reciept.
When I asked for anothercopy of the reciept I was told no. This is not true as your competitor woolworths provides reciepts days later not just one day later.
As a disabled customer I was blatently lied to, ridiculed, humiliated and further traumatised by this incident.
This behaviour by coles employees breaches anti discrimination legislation and is not the first timr I have reported such behaviour.
Again I ask that a senior manager call me on monday the 16th to discuss and sucessfully resolve this matter before it is placed in the hands of the legal profession.
I am treated like any normal person at any other coles store i visit, except the one at st marys where certain staff including managers will ridicle, humiliate and treat me as a second class citizen because I do not conform to the binary norms of society
In summary I was overcharged for a product that was suppossedly for free when I went to get a r efund u was treated unfairly by staff wirth a comment intended to make me conform to the homophibicagenda that she was laying out

meat
Hi. I have always purchased coles sausages. Today I purchased a large pack of bbq sausages. To my horror when we cooked them in a frying pan not on a bbq they shrunk to nearly half their original size. The pan had more fat than I had ever seen before. Something is terribly wrong with these sausages. I have taken a photo if you would like to see it.
service
On January 12 My 21 year old daughter was refused service because she had an expired drivers licence by 3 days with a photo that is obviously her, but had a temporary licence from the RTA as well as student photo ID.
She was treated with some disrespect and when she stated she would now have to drive home to get me, was told"fine"!
When I arrived to purchase the wine I was told ."Nope you can't it might be for your daughter. When I explained that it was for me as well as my 21 yr old daughter, obviously I'm not going to drink it alone, I was told "Nope not going to serve you "
How ridiculous to refuse a 54 yr old, regular customer.
This young man with curly dark hair seemed to be enjoying humiliating me in front of other customers.
His attitude was over zealous and very rude.
We then had to drive again to another liquor shop where they happily accepted my daughters ID and served her. She told them of her experience at Coles which they found unacceptable, suggesting the young man felt powerful, bullying customers.
In the last 2 days my daughters ID licence was accepted by a Brisbane night club and an Airport, but not at Goonellabah for a lousy bottle of wine.
As a regular customer at liquorland, I have never been refused or humiliated by anyone previously
Our family have always been loyal Coles customers even when Dan Murphys came to our area.
You have just lost one family of customers by this man's behaviour
bad customer service
I have shopped at coles, pacific fair for the last 13 years, only because it was the closest supermarket in my area.In that time I have been publicly shamed by not only your staff members, but also the store manager.
1. I purchased some loose mussels from the deli section which I assumed were $13 per kilo, a fair price at the time. When I went through the checkout, they tried to charge me $13 per mussel which added up up to around $120. I asked for the supervisor who said that it was the price and there was no mistake. I asked for the manager who also agreed that they should be priced at $13 per mussel. I asked both of them of the last time that they purchased this seafood themselves to which they said never. I left them there disgusted at the way they treated me. The next day I checked the deli and the mussels had been put in a tray of approximately 1 kg and marked $13.00 each!
2. My next encounter was at the self service checkout where I was very loudly accused of cheating because I selected a turnip instead of a swede. Technically they are the same vegetable and by the way were both the same price!
3. I returned to the store because I do prefer a certain type of bread that is only available in that store. I stood at the bakery at 5:30 on a thursday afternoon waiting for someone to slice it for me as there were no pre-sliced loaves. After 10 minutes of waiting I asked at the deli counter, where they sent over the butcher to slice the bread. He said rudely that the machine was set to thick slice and if I wanted anything different... Bad luck!
4. The next day I returned for a loaf of sliced bread and decided to get some ham at the deli. There was an elderly nona who was asking the assistant to slice some ham thicker as she did not like it shaved. She proceed to slice some ham on the shaved setting and when this nona said 'no I want it thicker' the attendant shouted at her 'i can't hear you' and walked off shouting profanities. When it was my turn, I asked for 200gm not 250gm. I am on a budget and am getting really tired of your staff over measuring my purchase. When I said that I only wanted 200gm, they angrily put on a glove and throw some excess back into the bay.
I am so sick and tired of this service. I am over 60, worked all my life whilst raising a family on my own and found myself unemployed at the age of 52. Since then I encounter such rudeness every day in customer service and I wonder how on earth they manage to keep their jobs. I think that it's time that you make your managers more accountable to complaints such as this and not brush them under the carpet as your company has done each time I i have raised these issues in the past.

I've copied what was sent to me but for some reason that's how it's come through.
I would say that by the link alone you can assume it is not from Coles.
rudeness of one of your staff members
Today, 11 January 2017 at approximately 10.00 am, I went to the Carlingford (2118) branch of Coles to return for a refund a Dymo labeller which I couldn't get to work properly. I went to the refund counter, and the female who eventually attended to me was also operating the register closest to the entry. I told her that I wanted to exchange the article because I couldn't get it to work properly. When I hit the "print" button, the machine would just switch off. She asked whether I had put batteries in it, and I answered that I had. She then removed the battery cover and noticed that there were no batteries in it. I invited her to use Coles' batteries if she wanted to check the item. She answered that she didn't have any. She then added that, should the replacement not work, that I should return it with the batteries still in place. I told her that I wouldn't be doing that, and she responded that I wouldn't get a refund then. Since when has it become a part of consumer law that I have to supply batteries which were not part of the original purchase? And since when can a member of your staff advise me that they are not going to abide by consumer law? Throughout our conversation, I was subjected to tongue clicking by this person, as well as having her display her annoyance by the manner in which she aggressively took the packaging apart. I tried to get her name from her name tag, but couldn't see that she was wearing one. I'm sure that you can identify her from her log-in on the cash register she was operating. While there, I noticed a sign on the desk "Need a refund or exchange" which went on to detail how easy it is to get either from Coles. Not so in my case. You either need to revise your sign or this person's attitude.
