Conn's Home Plus Unending spam calls

I have never been a customer of this company, nor have I ever heard of it before they started calling me. It started a couple months ago, they call me several times a day and when I block the number I just get called from a new number. I've tried picking up a couple times to find out why they call and to ask them to stop, but both times they just immediately hang up when I answer.

Conn's Home Plus not honoring warranty

I bought a Beauty Rest mattress with an adjustable base from Conn's furniture, after 13 months of use the mattress started sagging. Conn's will not honor the warranty I paid for. And I'm still paying for a mattress that hurts my back. I bought this product because the sale agent assured me that it would work great for my disabled husband. Now I have to roll towels and place them in the sagging area so my husband won't be in as much pain. I'm being told because there is a few stains of the bed in non-sagging areas that this caused the mattress to break down. Yet under the warranty it covers standard stain causing liquids IE blood, semen, urine ETC. This company is dishonest! They do whatever it takes to earn a buck and won't stand by their word and warranty. DO NOT BUY.

Buyers beware! Conn's cons people! We did the "rent to own" portable a/c unit and was told we could bring it back anytime without penalty or restock fee. 9 days later, we tried to return it and they won't accept it and claim it's their policy, but yet 2 of their employees in the store lied to our face and told us there wouldn't be an issue. Conn's Home Plus Sold a defected refrigerator

On June 27th, I went into your store and purchased a clearance floor model refrigerator. I was told the items in the back of the store had, dents and scratches, which is why they were on clearance. I was not told the item would not work, or the item had a bad compressor.

The refrigerator was delivered to my home on June 29th and is still in my home now, not working. The technician came out on July 3rd, to tell us the compressor was bad, and he had to order a part. The part would not come in until July 10th.

Now let me just say, I had already had to take two days off to be at home to wait on the technician to come. Now I have to take the 3rd day off for him to come out Monday. This is inexcusable, and this would have never happened if I just brought a refrigerator from a reputable appliance store.

I have called the store several times, the store manager Chris was rude, and condescending. When I asked him hard questions, he hung up on me twice. Why would you hang up on a customer, who just wants what they paid for? Why would anyone buy a refrigerator that does not work for 1,100? He said I brought it "as is," maybe you should tell your employees, "as is" is only if the item is working. The item, never worked, so you did not uphold your end of the deal. I no longer want to deal with you "cons" I have asked many times for you guys to come get this garbage, but for some reason, you will not?

I will not keep waiting, it has been two weeks of dealing with this, and having no food for my family barbecue on the 4th of July was very embarrassing.

No one will talk with me to tell me what is going on! So I sit here with no food and no refrigerator for two weeks.

Desired outcome: Come get your non-working, broke down refrigerator.

Conn's Home Plus Refrigerator

Well, it has been a week now since I purchased a refrigerator and I don't have one. I have been very patient with you people, I have asked you to come get the piece of [censored] you sold me that never worked. But you keep saying it is, "as is." Well, the attorney I contacted said, "as is" does not mean you sell an item that does not work unless it was stated; and nothing was.

I took the correct steps to report this issue to you, but your "con" company has not done the right thing. I want to know why?

I am looking for someone to come get this non-working refrigerator, ASAP! I have another one that does work. Trust me this is not a game you want to play with me. You will not win!

Desired outcome: Come get your [censored], that does not work and never has.

Conn's Home Plus Refrigerator

I purchased a friderator 2 weeks ago from conns they delivered it the guy said he couldnt hook up the water or ice machine i said ok i understood i thought that he would have programed the refride the temp and light and frezzer but he didnt u wld think that wld have been autommatic done i didnt relize it wasnt working untill he left i called the store to let them no they never returned my phone call so i went down there in person i told them my sitution and they wanted to come on friday i told them i wasnt avaiable on friday so the next date they had was 5 days later i said no i wld like to just return the fridge back i was advised that i wld b charged 180.00 to pick up and return back to wharehouse iw ld like the fridg picked up as soon as possible because i am haveing a new one delivered i wld also like to no why im being charged 180.00 for something that was not my fault that should have been done in the first place please make this right so i can b a returning coustomer

Conn's Home Plus Billing collections customer service.

Collections department is very aggressive and does not take no for an answer. Collections departments does not know how to give customer service. When collections department calls me every single day, instead of identifying themselves they just ask over the phone if this me. Terrible customer service. Collection department needs training. I have questions on the contract, the main one is, where does it say I to give Conns account of what I spend my money on? Where does it say on the contract that I have to answer questions to why I don't get a part-time job to afford Conns payment. Because today I was asked why I don't get a part-time with Door Dash so that I can afford a payment. Why does Conn's have to be so aggressive when speaking with me and so rude when speaking with me when I say, "I am not able to give you a payment today?" Why does Conn's want to be a priority over my other payments like my home rent? Why does Conn's make it sound like I knew a few months ago that today I would be in a situation where I am not able to pay before the due date or on the due date or past the 10 days where charges start incurring? Why does Conn's not email me all their questions to why I am not able to make a payment on the due date? Why does Conn's tell me that I refuse to answer questions for them, but they do refuse to email questions. Why does Conn's tell me that I do not have to answer questions, but they are required to ask questions and then turn around and say I refuse to answer questions, when Conn's just told me I don't have to answer questions.

Desired outcome: Train your employees to be less aggressive when collecting a payment, attempting to collect or just simply speaking with customers. Train your employees how to identify themselves before asking for a customer over the phone.

Conn's Home Plus Stove

During the month of April we had stove delivered, delivery person(contracted with Conn's ) plugged stove into outlet and burned circuit breaker damaging plug on stove that could not be used. We have made several, several attempts calls, going directly to store also reaching out to store manager, Michael Robinson and Nestor Cruz-district manager(who never, ever returns calls).

We had to pay an electrician $640.00 to repair the damage. The delivery person could have been injured also possible further damage to our home.

This is the worst service that I have received. Hopefully you will be able to assist so that we are reimbursed cost of repair.

Conn's Home Plus I was charged twice

I was charged twice and it put my account $265 in overdraft and when I requested a refund on June 1st I find out on the 13th that the refund was declined and nobody bothered to tell me (The account number is [protected].) this happened when I told them DO NOT do automatic payments I will pay the bill. I paid it on May 26th and they took the money out again on May 31st I have been in the overdraft in my. And account because someone in Conns failed to follow instructions.

Conn's Home Plus Samsung washer service repair

I requested a service call for my Samsung washer on 5/31/23. They came out on 6/1/23 they said that they ordered a part and needed to come back on 6/6/23 Tues but never called or showed up call them they stated they couldn't come till 6/8 well again they call n state no one can come till 6/12. This is not the way a major comp does business. N I need for someone to come and service the washer I am still paying for under warranty that I had to purchase also

Conn's Home Plus Harassing phone calls/do not have an account with/them

I have been receiving several calls from the numbers listed below. I have been receiving for at least 2 months, probably more if I review my cell account phone log. I just happened to notice these numbers in the past 2 months. I have called 2 of the numbers on 2 occasions (last one was on May 8 @09:50) asking to remove my number or stop calling. I do not have an account with Conn's Plus, never been in the store, or inquired about them. I am left to assume that maybe someone used my number as a reference, however, the number of calls I receive is considered harassment. Under the law, I know they cannot disclose account information on someone else but I ask to stop calling me. The calls will stop for 2-3 days and then start back up. Very annoying. I have tried to block each new number and more still go through.

This is just the past 3 weeks, almost 50 calls! I have received calls from the same numbers listed in April as well and probably before then if I look back at my cell phone log. This is harassment and I know a violation of TCPA and worthy of a lawsuit for the excessive calling.

Desired outcome: Well past asking to remove my number or stop calling because my number is not in your system according to your reps who answered my calls. So, at this point, monetary compensation for the inconvenience.

I’m having this same issue. I don’t have an account with them but I’ve blocked more numbers from this company alone than I have in the entire life of me having a cell phone. It’s so bad that I’m literally changing my phone number so that it’ll stop. I’ve told them 3 times to take me off the call list. My phone is permanently on Do Not Disturb because they call so frequently, and it’s been confirmed that I’m not even the person they’re trying to reach! This company WILL drive you mad!

This place is beyond horrific for customers care after you purchase. All 3 appliances I purchased in a bundle deal are malfunctioning, the $3000+for just the refrigerator with glass door to light up, well the freezer ice machine stopped working after 6 months we called cause we also purchased extra service warranty besides there standard one that supposably comes with each appliance. They never came to fix or even look at it then the dishwasher is a push button with Bluetooth and all the extras well it won't run a load. It turns on and off it won't stay started it's constantly blinking. Now for over 10 months we have tried to get people to come and work on it the first guy they sent wore slippers and told us that he was smoking weed earlier. But then he mentioned that the motherboard must have an issue he said he would order another. Well we waited and had to reschedule another appointment we never got a motherboard they scheduled another appointment and nobody showed up and then they wrote us saying that they came to our home and no one was here which is not true. Six appointments have been made through their system and only two people have showed up who could not fix the machine because they keep saying they don't have the parts now they have sent the parts to my house and once again the technician said that he came and showed a picture of my house from Google Maps from 2018 there's a pickup truck I used to own and sold in 2018. This company does not offer any resolution nor people you can speak with. Their customer service phone numbers are all out of South Asia and they cannot connect you to any supervisors or a corporate number. I also called many of the corporate numbers they do have in Texas and it refers you back to the South Asia Telecommunications department they use. Please take your business somewhere else this company has named their business conn's for a reason I actually know many real cons and they have more integrity than this company. Oh by the way all the appliances are from LG and they will not warranty their own product either. minus 9 is my rating. oh there District manager Joe Herder has not done one thig to resolve or even respond to any of these issues. shame on you Conn's for treating customers like you do.

Conn's Home Plus Dresser and Headboard

I bought bdrm suite and was delivered to me on 4/15. On 4/20 I filed a claim that my dresser bowed in in the middle and one of the legs on my headboard snapped in half where it was bolted together. Waited 2 weeks and still didnt have a service call. So I had to schedule the service call 2 more weeks later at my new address. Now Conns wants to say it cant be repaired or replaced cause it got damaged in the move yet I filed this claim almost 3 weeks before I moved.

Desired outcome: Replace the dresser and headboard with the new dresser and headboard

Conn's Home Plus Interest payment

I Purchased a mattress set two years ago paid it out a year early. I thought until yesterday I got a text saying I owe $700 because I missed the last payment. I paid them out I paid you guys out a whole year in advance. Why would I not pay the last $153 in any case they charge me $700 interest call to try to remedy the problem they were cold and insensitive. I’m on a fixed income, but I pay my bills. I worked hard for my money I don’t have money to waste that was my purpose of paying it out early I thought, all I could tell me was I’m sorry I can’t help you. I was a good customer and planned on being a good customer in the future but now I will never deal with you guys again because of this unless we can work this out.

Desired outcome: remove the interest payment or make some kind of adjustment to the bill .

Conn's Home Plus Refrigerator

Purchased a refrigerator. Was supposed to be zero percent interest. Set up payments on auto draft. Spoke to conns customer service to do so. They set up the amount. I paid over 3000 dollars. Supposedly was about 50 dollars shy of payoff amount. However the amount drafted was what conns set up to meet the zero percent. Didn't here anything for 8 months after last payment. Talked to customer service they said it's their problem they will be closing account and show paid in full. Now after 3 weeks they say no your late on payments you owe 900 in interest. Total scam. All calls were recorded. Do not buy from these people.

Desired outcome: Honor what you told me and mark account payed.

Conn's Home Plus Frigidaire laundry center

I bought a new frigidaire stackable washer and dryer. The washer hasn't been spinning out since I bought it. I called conns home plus last week. They said a technician would be dispatched in 24 to 48 hours. I call back in 4 days. I'm told they don't have a technician in my area. I asked for a new washer dryer combo. I was told until a technician comes to look at the unit they wouldn't bring a new unit. I'm now without a washer and dryer because of this con company.

Desired outcome: Refund and pick up their merchandise so I can purchase from a company that has customer service.

Conn's Home Plus Several items - bedroom set, tv stand, dining room table and chairs, washer and dryer.

I went in and it was an hour before I was even helped. I was assisted by management so I assumed it would be like my past experiences with them. I was told to look around the store and see what I like, and my limit was $9,000. I picked out some items and was redirected to more expensive items and refused making it clear my payments can't be high, I was paying around $150 a month last year when I purchased more items. The manager said he will make sure the payments are low, so I sat and waited for over an hour and finally had to tell him my grandson was miserable I needed to go. He then told me the payments are going to be about $600 and I told him absolutely not, I am on a fixed income and need it below $300 and why would it be high if I was just paying $150 a month? He said he will fix it and he understands and will take off the warranties and any service agreements. I could not wait around any longer, so I expressed my frustration, and he came out with papers for me to sign. I sat down and he had me sign on a tablet and never once said any dollar amount as I signed. I had no idea until a week later I get a bill in the mail for payment due of $550 a month. I am outraged. That manger not only lied, but he also falsified information and shoved in every protection plan, and furniture Gard plan possible causing my total balance to be $11,000 owed. I looked at my paperwork and he got me good. He received a good commission off me and it is happening to people every day at this place. I will no longer be a customer and I would recommend everyone to stay away from this place. When confronted I was told I signed the papers, well yes I did, but I was verbally agreeing to something by what came from a manager's mouth and took that at face value — look where it got me! The manager's name is Michael Ayala.

Desired outcome: I want my paperwork looked at by someone with integrity and revised. I should not have to pay $550 a month when I have always paid on time for the last 5 years and never paid more than $150 $200 a month/.

Conn's Home Plus sofa sectional

My name is Rickey Montez, my number associated with my account is [protected]. I purchased a sectional couch from Conns with a warranty plan I called and reported the damage that occurred on the April 13th 2023 , and was told i would recieve an email and then follow the steps on filing a claim , an email was never sent and had no one respond back to me . I then called back April 17 2023 ,my warranty expires April 15 2023 and was denied coverage and given the a ton of excuses. I am very disappointed on how your customer service handled my situation and am looking forward for someone to make right of the wrong that has been done.

Desired outcome: I would like someone to be sent and repair the seam of the cushion that came apart when sat on.

Conn's Home Plus The customer service provided

Time: 7:38p est - 8

My initial call was regarding my online account which was locked. The first rep I spoke with talked completely over me that I couldn’t get a word in or out. When I asked for her name she refused to give it to me. I asked for a supervisor and was told that none were available and then was hung up on. I called again and was talked over again by another rep that refused to give me her name and told me, when asked for Corporate’s number that I was speaking to the Corporate. The third rep I got to as soon as I stated my name she hung up on me. The fourth rep I spoke named Rod assisted me with my issue then when I asked to speak to a supervisor regarding the three rude customer service representative, I was connected to a supervisor after letting him know that I know that I can speak to a supervisor so please connect me to one. Per speaking to the supervisor Cheryl, instead of her addressing the issues of how I can file a complaint against these representatives she insisted on telling me about how I can view my account, make my payments, and so on, which that is not what I asked her. I asked how to file a complaint and she still wanted to just talk about my online account, so I got nowhere with her either. so I googled and found this page.

Desired outcome: I will never shop with this company ever due to the rudeness of their customer service representatives.

Conn's Home Plus Damage done by delivery driver

Had a refrigerator delivered to my house 12/17/2021. The delivery driver damaged my floor when he slid the fridge across the floor. I contacted the store and advised them of the situation. I was asked to send a picture of the damage. I did exactly that on 12/17/2021 @ 3:46pm, sent to store . I called to make sure they received it. I have since been trying to get the money back I paid to have my floor fixed. I am always told that someone will get back with me, but have yet to do so. I have been in the store several times. I have my paid invoice from the flooring company that did the initial installation three months prior. I have spoken to a total of 14 people. I have all of the dates written down that I have spoken to someone and they all have informed me that someone will return my call, but I have yet to receive a call from anyone at CONNS and or TOPHAT. I have since ordered several other things from CONNS and I haven't had a problem. I refuse to buy anything else from CONNS until I receive my $783.41 I paid to have my floor repaired/replaced. My attorney has asked that I give you a final chance to rectify this situation, prior to him becoming involved.

Desired outcome: I would like to be made whole again and get a refund for the $783.41 that I had to spend to FINALLY get my floor replaced/repaired.
