Hello,
I want to bring to your notice a distressing incident that happened today at Danville, CA Costco.
We have been members of Costco for over a decade and this is the first time that I felt unwelcome there.
I had gone with my family as they wanted to buy me a Mother's Day gift. We decided to look at Costco jewelry. I was the only customer there and the lady at the counter didn't make any effort to come to me to ask any questions or just to offer any guidance I might need! She just looked past me as I was standing there
I browsed by myself. However, soon a White woman with two kids came there and the lady was all nice and welcoming. Asking them all the questions and making nice conversation even though I was before her and had been browsing for some time.
Later, the manager noticed me and asked if I needed any help, to which I said yes and he assigned other salesperson to me.
I ended up buying a 7500$ Diamond ring. However, my heart was heavy as I felt I was being stereotyped because of how I looked! I never thought in a million years that I would face such treatment at Costco!
That woman has spoiled the charm of Mother's Day for me and my family.
I cannot but feel that Costco values skin tone over customer service. Not even sure that I want to keep the diamond ring, if it would remind of the painful story of how I was completely ignored because of how I looked!

This man has sexually harassed women and been forced from his job at Fox news. I'm disappointed that you carry his work. Please be the responsible corporation that you are and stop selling his products.

no pies
May 11 2017 West Honolulu store. No Apple or Cherry pies to be found. Here in Hawaii this is a common occurrence, but when contacting the bakery We were told there was to be no more Apple or Cherry pies, it was a corporate decision to discontinue.
Look are whole Country is in a turmoil and it is important that the Corporate giants need to be stable especially with what would be considered as a staple item.
Costco over the last year has been less reliable in the assortment of staple products and seem to be embracing more fringe item or more profitable items but 6 or 8 staff dipping strawberries in chocolate with holes in many basic bakery items should be embarrassing..
rude customer service
My mom asked me to return something for her with the receipt in Burlington, WA (as she had called ahead to make sure this was okay). I went in with the item and receipt. When I first approached the return desk Linda M was unfriendly to start with (no hello or greeting). I said hi and explained that my mom called and was told it was okay for me to return the item and she would receive a credit voucher. She first says where is her card? I replied I did not bring it my mom was told that I could just bring her receipt. She said you cannot return something without the card and proceeded to call her manager. I said is her card number on the receipt? She then replied rudely you are missing the point. She called a supervisor who assisted (she then complained that some of the (sticker) label had been pulled off the item although a fair amount was still on it with a description). In front of the Supervisor she then had to add your mom should have come in to take care of this herself. I then advised I am sure she would have liked to herself but she is with my dad who is in hospice. I have NEVER been treated so rude anywhere. I shop at Costco regularly and am not sure If I will anymore after this.

Chad was my cashier at the Quincy and Wadsworth location in Littleton, CO. I watched him pick his nose and then proceed to curl his finger and wipe it on my groceries. I am rather disgusted and contemplating returning my groceries and cancelling my card. I hope this situation can be resolved so other customers do not have the same experience. This is common sense and unsanitary.

Purchased a case of this kind of canned food about a two weeks ago and there was a piece of plastic type paper in it. I don't think it would be harmful if swalled by a larger dog but glad I got it out because it might have been deadly to my little chi...who would have chewed on it because it was dog food flavored and swallowed it because he tries to swallow anything that tastes good and he can't chew up!

This is not a complaint, but a compliment on Photo Customer Service #[protected]. Slane (spelling?) just helped me place my graduation party card order. He was extremely knowledgeable in helping me work through the many steps with my Mac using a Safari browser (when something didn't work, we tried something else), and he made me feel good about the experience! THANK YOU, SLANE!
membership ripoff
I purchased "executive" membership #[protected] because the Costco agent told me how wonderfull it would be to be able to order items online and have them shipped to me (I am located over an hour away from the nearest Costco). I have spent HOURS on the phone with your tech support trying to get online, and it always fails. I worked on it for several hours again today only to find out my membership has expired. I have never been able to make a purchase online even once. Now my membership has expired.
I want a refund of my membership fee, or a free extention for another year.
Turns out that Costco changed my zip code (because I once had my mail forwarded). I did not change my zip code, I always use the same zip as when I sighed up. ...in hours of time spent with Costco tech support, nobody had been able to figure that out until today when I did.
food court - employee playing joke?
May 8th 2017, I went to food court ordered a combo pizza. I paid with my CC. A casher name Carmen G. wrote on the receipt print out also said “your actual order number is 195 not 192 shown on the bottom of the receipt. Your order will be ready in 15 minute”.
I waited over 25 minutes, one of the employee behind pick-up window ask me. Sir, you stood there for long time. What is number? I said “195”. Another employee came to me. He took a look of my receipt and said your number is 192.
Is someone playing joke with me? I still have the receipt that had Carmen G's hand writing.

I am appalled as to how the pharmacist Zak treats patients that go to him for help. As I stood waiting for my prescription I watched him serve two different members at two different times and when the members has questions about things he answered them rather rudely and made them look like they were stupid for even asking the questions they had asked, as if they should know the answer. One of the things he had also said was "I am asking you a simple question, I know what I'm doing I'm
the professional so just answer what I asked you", if he's the "professional" one then maybe he should be treating people with better respect when they are asking for help. Afterwards I had a question and was dreading having to ask him and once I asked what I had to ask he seemed rather annoyed that I was needing his help. He's clearly unhappy in his job and should have a better attitude when helping customers expecilly ones that are not feeling well as I'm sure their not up to being scolded or left feeling like they are an inconvenience! During my time of waiting I've even heard how he talks to the staff that works there, he has no respect for anyone! This is the type of staff you guys hire? Not trying to tell people how to do their job but you should re-check your management because by the looks of the staffs faces they don't even seem to pleased on having to work with him, I know I wouldn't want to that man needs to learn how to have people skills because he's clearly lacking them! Something needs to be done about him, because if not if states that you do not care how he treats the members or staff! Because it's not the first time that I've witnessed his absurd behaviour, I've even seen him make a member cry, the woman even went to complain to HR. So you'd clearly show that yes that's how you treat your members as it looks like he hasn't stopped! I'm so upset about this I almost feel like the media show be aware as to how things are really ran there!

I am a Costco member and have always enjoyed my visits to my neighbor hood costco at 2746 north clyborn, Chicago, il.60614. Unfortunately that has changed since my last visit on 5/5/2017.
I made one purchase and decided to grab a bite to eat after I left the register. I had the receipt for my purchase from the store in my hand when I entered into the line for the food court and for some odd reason placed the receipt into the trash bin.After I purchased my food I proceeded to leave the store and when I arrived at the exit I explained to the associate at the door ( Barbara ) that I had put my receipt in the trash bin. She then replied "you have to go get a receipt" and I assumed she ment for me to retrieve it from the trash.So asked her " from the trash?" She started to raise her voice at me and say " no the register" so I turned around and headed back into the store and she continued to say in an elevated tone" I didn't say the garbage, I didn't tell you to get it out of the garbage". I then went to the customer service counter and explained my situation with the receipt and the associate went and retrieved me another receipt with a smile and no attitude.Very eager to help me resolve my situation. I was very impressed with her determination to help me.I was pressed for time and didn't have a chance to speak to the manager regarding Barbara's extremely poor attitude with my situation.Once I did have a chance, I spoke to Justino on the phone who said he was a manager and apologized for the situation.He also said he would have a talk with her regarding this incident.I expressed my thanks and explained to him that someone with a poor attitude should not be greeting or saying goodbye to customers. I mean members pay to shop there.This is the kind of service I would expect from the store on the corner.
choked on foreign object
Hi, on Saturday I purchased the Asian chicken wrap that's prepared at Costco in New Rochelle. That night as I was eating one of the wraps & something got stuck in my throat and I began to choke and it blocked my air passage but thankfully I was able to pull it out before passing out. When I looked to see what it was, it was semi rubbery. It kind of reminds me of the lambskin condoms. I did take a video of it and I will submit it with this complaint.
I don't know what to do with this, if I should bring it back to Costco or contact an official. I'll wait to hear from someone. My fear when I was choking was that my children we're going to walk in the next day and find me dead on the floor but thank God I didn't panic and I was able to reach down my throat and pull it out. I don't know what this is and I need to know what this is And why it was in my wrap. I would appreciate it if someone could contact me at 347–2 19–3069 as soon as possible

I went to a Costco in Murray, Utah, and I experienced very upsetting customer service. The customer service rep at the membership desk refused to acknowledge that I was there. He was replacing batteries on some remote controls. I stood at the desk for at least five minutes and there was not even a short greeting. I thought maybe he was too invested in whatever he was doing, but once I moved away, he greeted the next customer. I was discriminated by your employee. For a company like Costco, you should not allow your employees to subtly discriminate based on people's race. In this day and age, you need to be more aware and careful with any kind of discrimination. You should train your employees to greet your customers on non-discriminatory basis. Such discriminatory action is imputed on Costco when you allow this to happen. I believe the customer rep's name was Tony. I want you to follow through with this complaint and reprimand your employee so that this kind of discrimination never occurs again.

Your 2 female employees, one at check out and Sarah at memership desk had bad attitude towards customers. One at the gate a guest who had a question but not fluent in English repeatly said "sir what is your questions" in a tone by passer like myself can pickup her tone of rudeness and unwilling to help. The other clerk at the membership desk Sarah did display her attitude in a manner that made my visit very unhappy. She was quick to brush us off as I'd we were not important and when we were asking questions with confusion, said this is typical Monday. Referring to our confusion about one of her colleague who said we, who I am the son of membership holder had moved out recently can still go under my mother's plan which I was till recently. Overall, I am disappointed with 2 of your employees attitudes towards customers and they need to either find something else where they don't display their lack of customer orinted business or get a training to work with public in more professional manner.
upgrade of previous to membership to reward card
We went to customer service in Red Deer Alberta Canada to renew our membership and we were asked to upgrade to the Reward 2% card. The girl explained it to us and we agreed to upgrade.
It wasn't till Jan 2017 that I noticed that we had not received our refund cheque yet.
On Feb 14/2017 I called customer service and was told that the cheque was returned. Not sure why address was correct no explanation really given. Was told that the cheque would be reissued and take about 6-8 weeks.
April 3 /2017 Follow up regarding cheque for still not received and was informed that the cheque was issued and sent
April 24/2017 still no cheque in mail was told again that the cheque was issued Was also told that if I had not called we would not of received a cheque
April 28/17 Cheque was in the mail
We just find this whole situation very unacceptable. Yes the cheque was returned, not by our knowledge but for it to take almost three months to reissued is crazy. The issue date on the cheque states March 9/17
We thought this was a good idea but in the end it is more of a hassle than what it was worth. We will probably be going back to just a basic membership
rude customer service rep
I upgrade my membership back in march. Was asked today while checking out if I wanted to upgrade. Told her I already did. Was told it wasn't showing up. A very nice supervisor went through all my receipts to find that I had indeed upgraded. He then took me to customer service desk and told lady I had upgraded and needed to be given credit for all I bought in last few months. He walked away and she looked at her computer and told me I was mistaken and that I hadn't been upgraded since 2014. I politely told her I had seen the receipt on other computer with my own eyes and she still told me I was wrong. We went back and forth for a few minutes and she basically told me I was lying. There were plenty of people around basically looking at me like I was trying to get something for nothing. I was completely embarrassed and pissed at same time. She was basically dismissing what I told her cause we all know computers can't be wrong! Lol the nice gentleman finally came back over and pulled it up from somewhere. No apology, no nothing! Just got a... Well, it wasn't on my computer. I was told I would personallt get a call and that all the things u bought will be added on but I have a feeling there will be more issues. Believe it or not, sometimes the customer is right (She was already told that by nice man) regardless, it was a terrible customer service experience!
victoria pasta sauce
I recently bought a bottle of Victoria Pasta Sauce.The expiry date mentioned on the bottle is 2/21/2020. As mentioned, I refrigerated after opening.Recently when I took it out (a week after I opened it), I found that there is a white color fungus developed in that jar.
I would like to understand what is the point of expiry date.And if there is a point to it, then why they are not correct in this case.I would like to get some explanation for the same and money refund.
Any product that is opened, has a different shelf life than what is printed on the container. Since tomato sauce is highly acidic, it is more susceptible to mold. Typically anything opened then has a shelf life of one week to 30 days. FATTOM is a great way to remember what products are susceptible for mold and Food Borne Illness or "spoiling". kirkland chicken breast individually wrapped
I buy Kirkland Chicken Breasts on a regular weekly basis. There are more and more chicken breasts that are not sealed properly and making them freezer burnt. I'm taking some back to Costco this week. Before I was just tossing them out, but 4 chicken breasts in 1 bag? That is not right, and this concerns me, as to who is suppose to be doing quality control on this product?!

vizio e500i-b1 television
We purchased this TV on 2/01/2015. We recognize that this TV is out of warranty and it is now broken.
We researched the internet and discovered that our problem had occurred to numerous consumers.
The picture screen goes black and at random. Our TV cannot be watched on a reliable basis and we will never buy another Vizio product.
We purchase products from Costco based on quality and reputation. This product fails that measurement and hopefully you can review this to prevent other customers from having this same problem.
