All around Eastlake, OH Culver's
So my boyfriend and I went there last night, like we do literally almost every single afternoon of the week to order roughly $30.00 worth of food. We were later than we usually are, nonetheless: problem 1: as we were ordering at the drive thru, not sure if this chick wasn't paying attention or was hard of hearing, but we had to repeat our order several times. Then she tried changing what we had ordered. I got a double butter burger, so did my boyfriend and two orders of pretzel bites and a large Dr pepper and a small strawberry shake. So once the girl who was finally able to understand our fairly simple order, she proceeded to still be missing a few things and not only that but she was also basically trying to overcharge us by putting two value baskets that costed over$12 each (which btw, I looked up today and was unable to find anything on the menu that would've costed that much). So we had to once again tell her, that she has the order completely wrong, and instead of asking us to basically spell it out for her, she argued with us instead, tried to tell us that because we're getting the pretzel bites with the burgers she has to charge us for some basket meal. We had to basically do the entire order over again, and tell her how she is supposed to charge us for it, like they do any other time that we've spent hundreds of dollars there. We got to the window, where unlike normally, we got no sticker, but she actually told us to wait at the window. This was a first. We Paid, grabbed our food and drove home. I'm going to just say this now, we live a half hour away from culver's
Which brings me to problem number 2: we finally get home with the food we just paid full price for, after a long day at work, open our bag very much looking forward to it because we were both hungry. Pull out the first box, and then the second box. And this is where problem number 2 started. There were only two boxes in my bag. Neither of which looked anything like a square burger box. Although, there's been numerous occasions where it's been stuffed in a box like the pretzel bites come in, or wrapped up. But I knew that they couldn't fit both the burger, the pretzel bites and the cheese cups in those boxes. Don't get me started on how often they forget the cheese cups, It gets worse. First box I opened had 24 pretzel bites in it! 24! I was obviously very confused. So I grabbed the other box, and that one was filled with the same amount! Mind you, aside from the Dr. Pepper and strawberry shake, they got everything wrong. Also, we had paid for everything that we had ordered, full price with my boyfriend's debit card, and his only one at that. Which leads me to problem number 3:
So we find out that dinner is going to consist of flipping an overabundance (literally) of pretzel bites, and we're rightfully ticked off about it. I ran out to the car to make sure we still had the receipt, because I was seriously mad. Of course they were closed by the time we got home so I found the receipt, and put it back in the car. So we made the best of the fact that we just wasted money with an establishment that we spend a big amount of money with, ate the flipping pretzel bites and went to bed. Figured I'd just deal with it today. Well, it gets worse yet. And so, problem number 4, which I will preface by saying, I know that some of the mistakes made are on our end as well, such as I suppose that we could've checked the bag to make sure what we ordered and paid for was in there.
Problem number 4:
My boyfriend had to work this morning, We stopped at McDonald's for coffee and we get up to the window to pay for it, he pulled out his wallet, only to find that his debit card was not in there. He was frantic, and I stayed calm, we paid cash for the coffee and continued on our way. I asked him the last place he'd used it the night before and he said Culver's. Culver's doesn't open until 10:30, and so we had to wait. I left and at 10:30 he went up there to ask if they have his debit card and to tell them that they screwed us over on our food the night before. And this is why I say that I don't blame the company as a whole. They refunded our money and they also gave him a coupon for a couple of free burgers. As they should have done. However, his debit card was apparently nowhere to be found, but I guess they have security cameras around the register area, so they told him they'd review the footage and took his number down so they can call him if they were able to find. And hours of frustration later, they did. Didn't say how they came to find it, but that was beside the point.
Overall, I enjoy the food.. for the most part. As long as there's no entire thumb prints in my pretzel bites and as long as they're not giving me dime sized pretzel bites, (both occur every single time I've gotten them, literally) I would say the food is overall good. However that's only when they get it right. Last night is not the only example I can give about how they messed up and either forgot something, gave us food we didn't order or pay for. I've had cold food, I've had burgers with the wrong cheese and it literally goes on. Not only that, but it should not take quite as long as it typically does to get fast food. On average, we're pulled away from the register window and sitting there waiting for a half hour, and it's been even longer. And this is after we've already paid. It just seems unethical to me, to have a customer pay for their food and wait that long after, all because the bussers don't want to have to make multiple trips in and out bringing people their food that a lot of the time is cold by the time you get it because they'd rather take care of handing people's orders to them 6 at a time. And another issue with that, is when you see them come out carrying people who should be far behind you food. I'm not sure who is running the show up there, or who is in charge of hiring. But if this is a corporation, it might be time to reconsider who you have in there. And also, come up with a better way of getting people's food to them in a prompt and even way?
Desired outcome: I suppose I'd like to see some change within the Eastlake branch restaurant, and it would be nice to receive a little more as far as coupons to eat here as well, being as big of a complete inconvenience it wound up being for us.
I should've added this to my complaint, but the reason I had to post my review/complaint here, is because it was too many characters to write on the company website, it was also too long to put on Google reviews (just saying, I'm in the top 10% of viewed Google reviews) but I will be creating a condensed and posting it. I was able to post it on Yelp .
I am making an edit to my original complaint. They refunded us our money, and that is all. We received nothing else for one hell of an inconvenience. You all feel free to call me at440-687-4611
I also wanted to add that they did NOT offer to give us any free coupons, nothing. They did pay us back, but that in no way made up for what a hassle and inconvenience it was

On Sunday, January 8, at approximately 2:00 in the afternoon I asked my wife to pick up a single cheese hamburger with everything on it with a mint shake from the new Culver's on rt 466A in Wildwood Florida. We usually get the fish sandwich, which is excellent, but I wanted to try the hamburger. She bought those items, and, on the drive home she decided to take a few bites of the hamburger. When she arrived10 minutes later she told me NOT to eat the hamburger because something is wrong. The hamburger was re-heated, soggy bun and looked OLD. Later that evening she had a bloated stomach and was in severe pain. Then she spent most of the evening throwing up, weak and felt very sick. We are going to the doctors today to make sure there are no complications.
My guess is this hamburger was slated for the trash and the 'cook' decided to just heat it up in order not to cook just one. Just looking at the hamburger anyone could tell it was NOT like the normal fresh cooked food that we received all the other times. What kind of game are you playing with 240 Characters below?
Desired outcome: The doctor will tell us if he thinks there are complications from all this throwing up, etc. I did call the Manager of this location and she was polite.
General manager
First, let me note that I've worked with [edited] (I believe) in the past at the Gulf Coast Town Center location, as a team manager and I am the general manager of a boutique resort in [edited], FL. [edited] was very kind and easy to work with at the time. Since then, another GM - [edited] - has taken over apparently? Her sister, [edited], also works there. At one time, my daughter was dating a boy who worked there who [edited] had dated prior. They no longer date and haven't seen each other in a long time.
This new GM, [edited], has apparently taken my daughters friends aside (more than once) and asked that they not come in with my daughter and they won't allow my daughter to eat there anymore because [edited], the GM's sister, apparently feels uncomfortable? Uncomfortable with what, no one is sure, since this old boyfriend is no longer dating either of them, and my daughter and [edited] go to the same school every day and nothing has ever been said there. My daughter and [edited] used to hang out together every once in awhile and my daughter has even spent the night at her house! Needless to say, they don't hang around together anymore. A 16 year old boy crush should NOT dictate a manager's treatment of your long standing customers. A 16-year old boy crush should NOT dictate a manager's treatment of your long standing customers. Not only has [edited] told her to leave, she has two other managers asking her and her friends to leave! Both [edited] and [edited].
This is BULLYING and an UNACCEPTABLE AND HORRIBLE way to treat a teenager who loves your food and likes to frequent your establishment with her friends. This restaurant is close to our home and she would rather eat there than any other restaurant in our area. My whole family and our soccer club families in the area love this place. This is what I call an adult bullying a child. I think it's time you found a new GM. If something is not done to handle this so-called manager, I will bring this bullying up locally. No one needs to be singled out and bullied publicly in a restaurant of her choosing. With all of the teenage issues in the world today, this is a completely unnecessary abuse! Please feel free to contact me: [edited]. Should you like to speak with mydaughter as well, since she is still a minor, you may do so at this same number.
Desired outcome: I would like the manager replaced/removed and/or remove/replace the sister - or both. At the very least, split them up and move them from this Culvers as it is a ridiculous abuse of power and a nepotism conflict.
Manager at Culver’s in elk river mn
My husband has Parkinson’s, and just had heart surgery. He has a very soft voice and the workwear there could not hear him. I was trying to help by telling them the order. She could nor figure it out. Two kids burgers , two regular size burgers . Manager came on speaker said to drive to window. She was smiling with short answers and interrupted me mid sentence. As I was talking she shut window on me and walked away. We got our order it was wrong. So I went in the building and asked to speak to her. She said they do not talk to people who are yelling. I was speaking load across the passenger side of truck, but they couldn’t seem to understand the order. Which they got wrong! Manager need to understand people have health issue and its not always as she thinks. Her name is Bri, Culver’s in Elk River MN. It was a December 24th at around noon. I will not go back and will had have informed others of the mistreatment. Please address this. Thank you, Debbie
Desired outcome: I’d appreciate a response
No carbonation in any soda machine
Culver's,
I ate at your Spanish Fork, UT location today (receipt attached). Unfortunately, none of the fountain drinks had any carbonation, including the drive-thru fountain drinks. Although it seems weird that your restaurant would be without carbonation-poor planning, I can see that happening every once in a while. What did bother me is when ordering for my wife and myself, no mention was made of the lack of carbonation in the store. It felt dishonest, as I would not have ordered a combo meal if I had known the soda machines were not working. I only found out when I went to the machine and saw a 2 inch strip of tape with black hand-writing on it, indicating that the store was out of carbonation. (picture of tape on soda machine attached). I think that Culver's and their employees can do better than this-again, I feel this was dishonest.
Desired outcome: At the very least I would like a refund on the two medium drinks. At best, a coupon for two combo meals so I can go back with my wife and eat our combos with your fantastic root beer.
The veggie burger
The veggie burger. It wasn't the veggie burger like the ones I have had before. Before the veggie burger was my favorite, now it is mush, almost made me gag at the flavor and texture. it is nothing like the ones I have always gotten. Doesn't even look anything like the ones before. I am thinking that you have gone to another Co. to get a new brand.
Desired outcome: What ever you feel is fair. If they don't have a good burger like before I won't go back. This has always been my Daughter's and my go to place to eat
missing items
I waited at your Jasper, IN location last night while traveling and i knew there was a long line in both drive thru areas but waited anyway and then when i left after the long wait with just enough time to get to my next destination with family we drive away and i see a few minutes after that i was given no silverware, no dressing for my salad and it literally had one cucumber slice about a half a piece of chicken and 2 cherry tomatoes on it so i was unable to even eat since we were in a time crunch traveling after the long wait.
Desired outcome: i paid almost 9 dollars for some lettuce? so a refund or whatever you feel would work.
Product
Reduced size of brownie pieces in concrete mixers. Dates noticed are 11/26/22 and a week prior to as well. Location Watertown SD culvers. The only reason I buy the concrete mixers are the brownie pieces. I always ask for two pieces. Now the chunks are more like slivers. I have never filed a complaint before, ever. Not for anyone. But this is worth fighting for.
Desired outcome: Bigger brownie pieces! Like they used to be!
Customer service - treatment of employee/manager
Going into the Niles, MI location has become somewhat difficult. Unfortunately during the busiest time of the day the store is staffed with Special/Needs employees. (I am in no way placing blame on the employees more so then management or someone directing them). I have several special/needs relatives and know it takes patience, time and love to work with them.
However after placing my order I had to wait another 10-15 minutes almost missing my entire lunch break & clocking back in 2-3 minutes late. After waiting and watching the orders pile up. I asked the cashier to check my order status as I still had to drive back to work and punch in on time. His response was short and nasty saying he will be making your order shortly.
A taller guy was in the process of bagging orders and asked if my name was Anthony. I responded by saying no but that I had a tender order and was waiting. The gentleman waived his hand at me (as to brush me off) and proceeded to walk outside to look for the customer. He came right back in from outdoors and proceeded to go right back to bagging orders. *No hand sanitizer, hand washing etc.
My bag was packed and handed to another employee who then handed the bag to me. I have frequented this store several times a week in previous history. And now it's down to here and there and it's always a problem now or the service is nothing as to what it was a few months ago.
(1) I was offended by the guy/manager (tall/slim) waiving me off as if my order wasn't important. And the nasty grim on his face I really wanted to cancel my order fully @ that time.
(2) As we lift our orders from Covid or sanitizing my food was grabbed & bagged by a person who went outside and touched 2 sets of doors exiting and re-entering. And then handed to another employee to hand to me.
(3) Why would I spend my hard earned money to be given unacceptable customer service and have people touching my food that have no sanitizing skills etc?
During this past year I've had to call in with minor issues here and there. The manager was always kind, respectful and made sure to follow up on the issues or concerns. But it never stopped me from coming back and patronizing the store.
At this point I've given up and will return to keeping my hard earned dollars. Or find another establishment that will provide the atmosphere I am in search of on a daily lunch break. As to only have a 30 minute lunch and having to spend 20 minutes of it ordering/waiting for food. Only to be treated poorly really puts a bad taste in my mouth.
Desired outcome: Customer service skills and hand washing procedures. I don't think I will patronize this store for a very long time.
Missing order
I was super excited buffalo chicken tenders are back. As soon as I heard I drove to my local culvers in madison wi on mineral point road. I order a 8 pc buffalo chicken tender meal. I ordered it for curdside. It took 45 mins for my food to be brought out to my car and when I got home they forgot the tenders. I had my kids meal and my curds and drinks and fries, but my 8 peice tender was not in the bag. I tried to call them 5 times and the phone just kept ringing
Desired outcome: i would like refund for my 8 piece buffalo chicken tender
Employees denied their offered raises
The Gulf Coast Culvers in Fort Myers FL offered raises to current employees with further advancement to Trainer position. However no increase in pay has started even though employees have been working in their new "TRAINER" position for weeks and months in some cases. And when repeatedly asked where their pay increase is... nothing changes, no raise received. This is illegal and will be reported to authorities. Not to mention unethical and plane ignorant. Especially to the younger employees who don't know how to speak up or are afraid. I truly hope someone looks into this situation.
Desired outcome: Pay the employees their higher hourly wages that they were offered with their new TRAINER position.
Incorrect order
I had had the butter bun burgers with my parents a few weeks back and decided I would treat my kids bc the food had been amazing. I ordered the burgers with only one plain with pickles, but the rest with everything on them. I took my order home and found flat all plain burgers..there was nothing on any of them. The staff was very kind so I’m definitely not complaining about customer service but I’m unsure about what happened with the food. It was terrible to be honest with you. I would have returned but I live almost thirty minutes away in Taylors from Greer. I hate making complaints I am so sorry.
Desired outcome: Whatever you deem is appropriate my friends. I guess new burgers? I don’t know.
Food
The service was great but the customer satisfaction and quality was not. I received two grilled cheeses, but when I got them they missed the grilled part. So we sent it back nicely and asked for a remake. But instead of a nice grilled cheese we got a burnt crusty grilled cheese with a moist mystery green blob in the middle. Disgusting! I now feel sick and wasted my money, just when I thought Culver's was the last best fast food chain left...

Desired outcome: What do you think the outcome should be??????????........
Menu Items
My wife and I love the food at Culver's. The only problem is, many items my wife likes are 'seasonal', occasional, or simply fall off the menu. I love the butter burgers but we don't go back because she is always disappointed. Her concerns: No Buffalo tenders (fell off the menu), no dark chocolate custard (only occasionally), no sweet potato fries (seasonal). She is always checking online or calling our local Culver's (1.4 miles away) but is forever disappointed. Tired of going somewhere that has a 'sometimes' menu. Same reason we have stopped going to Panera Bread. Probably stop going here as well.
Desired outcome: Quit pulling menu items whimsically and bringing them back the same way. It's aggravating and eventually, for us, a reason to stop going.
Vanilla concrete mixer with brownie pieces
Today at about 3:30 pm, I ordered a meal at the Culver’s in Matteson on Cicero.
I was order number 48 (double deluxe cheeseburger no onions no pickles with a concrete mixer with vanilla custard and brownie pieces)
I discovered 2 pieces of cut up plastic (maybe plastic lids?) in my ice cream.
I tried calling the store 3 times and no one answered.
Kids meal price
In the past couple months, my wife has gone through the drive through twice and had ordered a kids meal for our child and both times she said they asked if the child was in the car. They said the child had to be in the car to receive the kids price, which is ridiculous. What if she was picking up food on the way home? That also feels like “that’s none of your business” type of question
Desired outcome: For them to stop asking if the kids in the car, because it’s none of their business
Wrong order.. greasy burger
We go to culvers weekly. Today we went and the order was all wrong. Husband ordered a double cheeseburger with onions he got a single with no onions. The rest of order was ok
Burger seemed greasy also. This is not the first time our order was wrong. Also fish sandwich previous time had bad taste. Order date was 10/15/22
Culvers in superior Wisconsin
Desired outcome: Would like money back on this order. Address is 5889 so co rd pPoplar wi
Money Owed for Items not received & Rude Manager
I used to love this company and this location, everyone was always so nice and friendly; your typical neighborhood fast food chain that was above the rest; now I hate the manager Katie with a passion and may never come back to this location. On 10/13/2022 @ 6:20pm @ 8271 W Ludlow Dr, Peoria; I ordered 4 basket (3 burgers and fries and 1 chicken and fries) and shrimp, when I asked for condiments I was told that there would be a charge. I thought that was strange but at first I said ok, the cashier didn't know what to charge me so she had to ask her manager. When she came back, she said that it would be $1.00 for 4 ranch dressings and 2 cocktail sauces. I asked to speak to the manager and a man came over to the window, I asked why the charge and he (Manny) stated that the supplier raised the cost by $0.30 and that's why. I understood that and paid the fee. But when I got home I found that I was missing 2 medium fries and there was no ketchup in the bag. So now I was mad and called the store, this time I got this lady who claimed to be the manager Katie, I was hot and my voice was raised but that was all it was. Understandably now that I paid for condiments and did not even gotten the standard free condiments but was shorted food that I paid for. She tells me that if I was respectful I could come back and get the fries but only if I was respectful. Well I was not being disrespectful in the first place and I had not used any profanity in our conversation. She, on the other hand had done nothing to calm me down or take responsiblity for her staffs error that I had paid for. That would be the normal response from a store manager. Instead she just kept on saying that I needed to be respectful. Well Katie I was never disrepectful but I was mad that I paid for products that I did not get and did not receive the normal welcoming service that your company advertises on TV. This behavior from the manager is beyond inexcusable. She should be put back into manager training school or never allowed to talk to customers ever again. But I want my money back for the missing fries I never received.
Desired outcome: I think that I am owed the full cost plus tax for the 2 missing medium fries and the cost I paid of $1.00 for the extra condiments that I received but did not even receive the standard condiments.
Food
We went to the drive thru at the West Milwaukee location, today, 10/14/2022.
Transaction 2582873 at 3:01:40 and spent $38.91 and a lot of tasteless food!
Neither Curder burger, nor the family size fries or onion rings had any flavor.
Even after adding salt and ketchup.
The pecan pie sundaes were okay but the food is sub par at best.
Now we have all of this food that is going in the garbage.
I would take it back but it is Friday and rush hour and the line was already long at the drive thru.
Please contact me at [protected].
I will save this inedible food to be returned tomorrow morning.
Sincerely, David Schoeneman
Desired outcome: Partial refund on returned unacceptable food.
