customer service/store credit rip-off
Horrible. This store is close to me so I come here occasionally even though the same items cost less elsewhere. I'll take my money anywhere else in the future. On a prior visit, I spent $30 on overpriced items to obtain a $10 gift card, which the store ultimately refused to honor because I didnt have my receipt from the last visit even though the gift card credit was showing plain as day on my account. The clerk and manager both saw the credit, but apparently didn't know how to work their equipment in order to provide the credit I earned without having the month old receipt. Absolutely ridiculous.
service with manager and cashier
I'm complaining about the manager and the cashier at this store because I just wanted to know why I didn't get my xtra bucks with my purchase but instead of explaining to me they started laughing and making fun of me even with their friends.
I think as a manager he shouldn't be doing this and I want this to stop, both manager and cashier shouldn't be dealing with customer service if acting like this, thank you hope to hear back from you.
rude service
On the evening of Wednesday, November 22, 2017, I had to take my daughter to urgent care. We were prescribed an antibiotic for an infection. We arrived at the CVS on Eagle Creek in Woodbury, MN around 8:50 pm. I understand we arrived at closing time, but I not only did I expect my daughter to need to go to the doctor, I didn't' expect to be treated so poorly. The Pharmacist, Bret Sinner, and his staff member were both extremely rude. Complaining the whole time to each other about how they just want to go home, and "at least we don't have work tomorrow and deal with this kind of stuff. While the female staff member has worked there for quite some time, her customer service skills are subpar. Bret is newer at this location and is by far the most standoffish pharmacist I have ever dealt with. It's a shame because this location used to have a wonderful Pharmacist. When we received our prescription on our way out my five year old asked me, "Are they mad at me because I needed medicine?" Absolutely appalling behavior to display in front of children!
Still rude. One time too many. October 2022. I'm so fed up I'm moving our Rx subscriptions elsewhere. I don't plan to step foot in a CVS again. I won't be unhappy if they go under and close their doors.
cvs pharmacy @4100 tx-121, carrollton, tx 75006
Complaint against CVS Pharmacy (the actual pharmacy inside the store).
Address: 4100 TX-121, Carrollton, TX 75006
Departments: CVS Pharmacy, CVS Photo, MinuteClinic
Phone: [protected]
I have been the customer of CVS pharmacy @ 121 for more than 10+ years.
I believe that Success requires courage. It takes courage to start and persevere in your own business. ...although, CVS Pharmacy @ 121 surely don't have their ducks in rows.
Many times I went there to pick up my medications and there seems to be something wrong. Getting medication filled through drive through or picking up prescription inside the store.
Surely there are communications issue inside the pharmacy. Many times the pharmacist has lost my prescription.
Recently, the manager "chay" has accused me to being rude, rather then focusing on the problem.
For past several months, the quality of professionalism & customer service is provided very poorly.
CVS pharmacy @ 121 pharmacist & staff filling the medication are packed with Indian's staff. They all are focused more on taking each other side and not really focusing on the issue.
I believe, CVS needs qualified people with great talent. Not just Indian's backing each other for their mistakes.
Especially the pharmacist needs to be more professional customers.
I was recently fractured due to un-professional attitude from staff member name SILVIA.
Simple words, getting medication filled @ CVS pharmacy is a hassle. I have started filling my medication at Kroger pharmacy and there service is really good!
unethical behavior from this male supervisor
i witness a altercation between two shift supervisor i saw one of them was trying to get the stuff together for the truck and the african american man call this female one with curly hair nasty name and said things that really upset her and called her stupid. ive come to cvs alot and see her work hard and watching this man degrade is wrong i seen it last night and tonight someone needs to speak to this name i did ask one of the employee his they said his name was Geron something clearly needs to be done. the tall female with curly hair does a great job with customer and she care about her customers i dont wont to see her go. Please handle this matter i cant stand to see a man degrade a woman ever. Yes she left which i do feel like she did the right thing because he called her out of her name again please handle this matter
service
I recently fractured my back, and its all down my legs, the pain is unbearable and I count on cvs not to lie to me. I turned my script of norcos in over a week ago and I ask them when it would be ready, the employee said it would be ready on the 27th of Nov. I said fine that's the day I will run out of every thing I have. Well I ran out a couple of days early, and those 2 days were the most painfull 2 days ive ever spent. I just couldn't wait for that day to come. Well, I drove up to the window, actually my ihss helper drove up to the window, and this employee informed me that it wasn't ready because they ran out and had to reorder them. I said, look, I brought this script in a week ago, and you promised that you will fill it. she says theres no way to tell us whos first in line or whos last, I said the script has dates on it that you promised to have it ready. she then says to me from the microphone "If you don't like our service then go somewhere else. I said instead of acting like a bully and being rude, why don't you just be civil and act like im the customer and your the provider. so then she said ok thank your for your visit. I then turned to my helper and said take me around front im going inside, she must have heard me and went straight to her boss and lied about her version. when I got inside, I finally got to talk to the supervisior, after maybe 5 mins of waiting. the first this she did was try to defend her employee and ask me, what do you want from me. I said, since your the person who trains these people, I want you to retrain them. she then said look if you want to you CAN go somewhere else if you want. I said you and I know that theres no other place that will take new orders. she said well you can go to the other cvs but I guess that's a little far huh? I said I don't even have a car, yes that would be a little bit hard on me. I then said look, if you are hell bent on telling customers to go somewhere else, I am sure I can help you. I have a radio show, and I can announce it every week im on and im sure they will go where they are wanted, she said no that's not what I want, I said it sure looks like it by your remarks until you found out that I have this program. Isnt that always the case, they are nasty until they figure some one can give them the same treatment they give out, cowards and hyprocrites.
medication
Every time I go to a CVS no matter what I am getting filled it never fails it is a hassle. I really hate dealing with it. Your supposed to help people. Not walk out so mad and stressed that you feel like your going to die from a heart attack. I get sick just walking in there. It is never an easy task almost a job. But when you have no choice with you insurance it is not fair are right to make it so difficult to just get your medicine filled without some kind of issue. They send you messages saying your medicine is ready only for you to get there and still have to wait because it is not. If you care required to get your medicine filled it should not be such a problem. You'll really need to work on customer service and efficiency. Darlene HOWARD
not filling my prescription over holiday weekend
My Ativan was called in on 11/22/2017 to cvs. The pharmacy never filled my prescription Ativan, before holiday weekend which left me out of my Ativan causing me to have severe headaches, chest pains, and severe seizure, sweats, pain in entire body walking and confused on Sunday 11/26/2017. On Monday 11/27/2017 I talk to pharmacist to let them know and see if they did receive prescription from my doctor and they said yes on 11/27/2017 but they have to now get approval from my insurance cause change of prescription. When I called cvs before holiday weekend I was told they said they didn't get call from doctor. This all could have been of avoided if they filled my prescription as directed. Because it wasn't I was left with no Ativan causing severe withdrawal symptoms over the weekend.
cvs minute clinic-horrible staff!!!
On Saturday 11/25/2017 I took my son, who had a moderate fever, to the CVS Minute Clinic, My husband, who was at Kroger at the time, decided to meet us there.
We waited for almost an hour, which I'm fine with, but considering that only one other person was sitting there, it's kind of strange. The Nurse Practitioner finally came from her office with a Dunkin Donuts brand cup of coffee in her hand. She called me next, even though there was a woman waiting before me. When I tried to explain that the woman (who looked terrible, btw) was there before my son and I, seh snapped at me about time. The woman then exclaimed that she had been skipped not once, but twice. The Nurse Practitioner (I think her name was Christine or Christy) then yelled at her to "Give me a minute!".
As we sat down, I began to explain to her when I noticed my son's symptoms and told him to explain his symptoms as well (he is 9). Christine/Christy wasn't listening. She was whispering profanities under her breath while she searched her computer. I asked her not to use that kind of language in front of my son.
"What language?" was her response as she eyed me down. I was shocked because it looked as though she wanted to physically attack me! She then grabbed a thermometer and took my son's temperature.
The conversation went back to normal as she asked him what was going on. I saw his temperature on the thermometer. It read 98.8. I brought up the possibility of strep throat as my son's condition did include nausea and pain while swallowing. That's when Christine/Christy copped an attitude.
"He doesn't even have a fever, so it can't be strep!" I then fired back at her: "His temperature was 98.8. That is a low grade fever!" She then begrudgingly gave him a strep test, adding "I don't think it's strep, " while doing it. I told her just to administer the test. It turned out that it was strep.
Christine/Christy didn't even apologize. She just shrugged her shoulders. When I asked her why I, not even a medical professional, could identify the symptoms of something and she couldn't. Christine/Christy eyed me down again. I eyed her down back and handed her my insurance card.
In the end, I paid a $15 dollar copay for a horrible attitude. Christine/Christy is BEYOND rude and I don't think she is fit to deal with the public in any capacity, much less healthcare.
Oh, and that's not all, when I told her that I would file a report on her to the store manager, she mumbled out a 1-800 number that I could call. I went to inform the store manager of how rude her medical staff were. The store manager, Latoyna, was just as rude, if not worse.
I spotted her chatting it up with my husband in the toothpaste aisle. She called my husband "Michael Ealy" and told him that his jacket was made of a very nice material. I immediately interrupted her to inform her about the incident between my son and I and Christine/Christy. The whole time, she was making moon eyes at my husband. I was shocked and sickened that a professional employee would act this way.
When she attempted to touch my husband, I pulled him away by the shoulder. I told her "Don't touch!" We were both stunned that this was happening. I cannot believe that.
I would like a full apology from CVS. I don't want any gift cards or anything like that. I want an apology or else further legal action will be taken.

Store # 5647
I chose the drive through and was told to wait 15 minutes because tech was processing prescription come inside after choosing drive through. So I went shopping, came back through drive through to pick up prescription only to be told in sarcastic tone that I should have come in because cvs does not take texas blue cross blue shield . Then she lied about misleading conversation she gave when came back through 2nd time. I had to pay full cost without my insurance card discount. If told up front, I would have gotten dr to issue to another pharmacy. I will make sure that all 3, 500 coworker employees I work with know not to shop at cvs. I will use every social media site as well to voice my experience at cvs this evening as well.
pharmacy associates lack of knowledge/customer service
I want to start by first saying how totally dissatisfied I am with CVS and at this point never want to step into another one of your stores ever again. I have several health issues and purchase 7 prescriptions from you each and every month. The first issue occurred about two months ago I ran out of Amlodipine after 30 days. It is supposed to be a 90 day refill it says 90 days on the bottle. But being I take one a day for years I know it was not taken incorrectly. At the 30 day mark when I ran out of medicine I returned to the store to have it refilled they said it could not be refilled yet. I explained that there must have been a mistake on your end. I didn't lose 60 pills and after much back and forth they gave me the pills to get back to when I could refill it again. No explanation of what happened just gave me a few pills. I wrote it off as a one time event. Now my other Doctor prescribed Methotrexate and injection needles for RA and I went to the store one week ago to fill. I returned on Sunday to pickup and they said it had to be ordered and would be there on Tuesday. I waited until Friday to pick up the medicine to give them time to get what I needed. First I show up and they say we have no prescriptions for you. I explain that I brought the prescriptions in a week ago. Suddenly they knew what I was talking about and simply said we have ordered it several times this week and it never comes in. And then just stood there. I said what do I need to do to get the medication. After a moment of Silence your Pharmacist said they could check and see if another cvs had it. I said okay they indicated a CVS in Richmond. And they would call them and have the medicine in at 4:30 today. I went back to the store at 4:45 and they told me the prescription wasn't ready. I left for an hour and returned now they have one vile of the product and no syringes. I ask how many injections are going to be taken out of that one vile. They simply say they will check put it in an hamper and leave me standing there. After 15 minutes of nothing I say "What is the answer?" Just blank stares and then they said "Well this vile is not the right size it is 10ml and they would have to reorder the correct size. I have tried not to get angry but I have spent thousands on prescriptions in that store and the amount of stupidity is overwhelming. I will never ever return to that store. I am now without the Methotrexate and am in the process of trying to find another Place to refill any and all of my prescriptions. I really laugh at how in your complaint details you tell me to be polite avoid using caps and or abusive language. Last time I checked I was the customer not some employee that you tell how to act. You just lost a loyal customer who is going to tell anyone who will listen to me my store about your pharmacy and the people who work at that store. THANKS FOR YOUR TIME oops I violated the rules I guess I must be spanked. Instead of worrying about if my text is in Capitals or lower case maybe you should check out how paying customers are treated at that or any of your stores. I am sure there are more than a few other pharmacies around that would love my business, and anybody else I can convince to go to one of your many competitors. If I hear nothing from you and I am sure I won't I will assume you are going to do nothing and that is that. Good luck doing business like that. It seems to be working well for you at that store. THAT WAS SARCASM
Sincerely
Robert C. Nodler

rx benefits
1.0 star rating11/22/2017
One of the worst companies I've ever experienced.
I take a medication for arthritis that without which I wind up not being able to walk within one month of stopping said medication. Dr has tried other meds, but they do not work.
Interestingly I am forced to use these clowns based on my employers "healthcare", and I use that term loosely, plan.
Every refill is denied and prior authorization is denied as well, leaving me to battle forward. Of greater interest is a situation where in August of 2017 a 90 rx refill was denied as usual, and my physician faught for me to get prior authorization for this medication for a full year. However when I went for a refill, I was again denied. When I called Caremark I was at first told I had no prior authorization, which was an outright LIE on the part of the representative. When I pressed that representative further, the prior authorization magically appeared, but guess what? It was for 90 days instead of the year my doctor was told.
This company is a FRAUD. Their actions are FRAUDULENT and they only care about being able to deny the medications that folks need so they can charge retail prices. Honestly these actions in my mind are bordering on being criminal. The public as a result has no recourse as we are being forced to use corrupt and life threatening companies such as Caremark.
Fortunately there is somewhat of a limited answer. Through some additional research I found my med at a local Costco for a somewhat reasonable price, so at least I won't be crippled.
Caremark take my word on this one: from here out I am taking ALL of my business to Costco. I am filing a complaint with the state insurance commissioner with regard to the disappearing prior authorization. I am also filing additional complaints regarding the prior authorization coverage date, which was changed from one year to 90 days intentionally.
Given I can still make a change for the next calendar year, I am dropping your plan.
I will post my experience of your FRAUDULENT actions to every web site I can.
In summary this company is a FRAUD, and only wants to deny you the medication you need, all the while HAPPILY taking your hard earned money for their "perscription" plan, and after each every denial offering to sell you the medication at FULL price.
Shame on you Caremark, and you and retail ripoff pharmacies should be put out of business!
pharmacy store #3302
I am sending this complaint due to an even that took place around November 8th 2017. My son who takes concerta 36 mg 2pills per day...and has been taking that dosage for over a year always filled at CVS pharmacy was out if meds. We are new to Ohio and have gotten a new doc, when the doc office called to verify the amount of meds he was taken they gave the doc the wrong info. Upon picking up the script I noticed it was only prescribed one pill per day...I called the doctor's office and explained. They in return told me that the CVS PHARMACY was the ones who verified the amount of medication my son was taking...NOWHERE IN HIS PROFILE DOES IT SAY HE TOOK ONE PILL A DAY. I'm assuming they took it upon themselves to jus agree with the normal dosage for a child. Therefore the script was only good for 1/2 of a month. When I brought the new script with the correct dosage I was told the insurance would not cover it again and it could only be filled once every 24 days. The truth was it could have been filled had the pharmacy did their jobs and called the doctor for the pre auth! BUT NO! they insisted I come back in 3 weeks and my son has to go without his meds. These meds are not a med that u can just stop! So I TOOK IT UPON MYSELF AND CALLED THE DOC AND GOT THE PRE AUTH! then it's still not over...when the meds had to be picked up...clearly in the profile there should be a place that says my son can only take Watson or activs brand concerta...they filled it with the wrong meds not activis or Watson but the generic that he CAN NOT TAKE! Luckily I caught the mistake AGAIN and they did correct it! Because it once again was their fault for not looking at his notes in the profile! DO THESE PHARMACY TECHS LOOK AT THE PROFILE OF PEOPLE? DOES THE PHARMACIST CHECK THE PROFILE? SINCE WHEN DO THEY HAVE THE RIGHT QUESTION WHAT BRAND OR DOSAGE MY CHILD TAKES? cause when I picked up the script I asked them to look at the profile cause the pharmacy is who messed u the dosage at the beginning giving the doc the wrong info. The gentleman answered me by saying " since when does the doc call to find out a dosage! We told them what we see in the profile". At that point I told him to check and read me what it says...he then said...OH I DO SEE HE TAKES 2 PILLS NOT ONE! really! This pharmacy is absolutely in the wrong! I will report them to every agency that I can! This is my child we are talking about. My child who they insisted on not filling the meds and letting him withdraw from them...instead of just DOING THEIR JOB AND CALLING THE DOCS OFFICE! I demand someone be in contact with them! They must need to brush up on their proper steps in cases like these! I will not use CVs pharmacy ever again! Nor will I ever refer anyone there! PERIOD!
cashier and photo
Store # 2815 cashier Jacqueline. I was standing at the desk by photo waiting for cashier to finish with the two customers that were there before I got to the desk so I could pick up my photos. She then took another customer that came after me. When I asked if I could pick up my photos she said that the other customer was first. I stated that I was standing there before her. She said I wasn't in line and repeatedly apologized to the other customer as if I wasn't a customer that was as important as her. She had an attitude and explained that I should be in line and that's how they do it. All other stores I go to photo is separate. I will make sure I go to Walgreens instead for photos moving forward.
being looked over as a customer
I went to store#7573 in Marshville NC. I was in the prescription area for 15 minutes no one even looked my way. A white customer walks up one of the male pharmacist immediate over looked me and waited on her. When he finished with her he went back to what he had been doing. Finally a female helped me. Again he stopped went to help a white gentleman who came after me.
Well it sound like a black white issue so maybe they're just calling it like it is! Ignoring racism doesn't make it go away [censor]! Furthermore, if she/he had gone to the counter and said excuse me, I was here first, then you would be saying that they're just another angry black person!
Stop with the Black White BS! Get up off ur [censor] and walk up to the damn counter and say EXCUSE ME I was here first. Stop this [censor] and moaning all the time!
cvs pharmacy at west main street in waterbury connecticut
I went there yesterday and called more than seven times about a prescription that was sent there and called in more then four times from my doctor's office urgent care of st. Mary's and they kept telling me they did not receive it and she kept telling me they didn't have the prescription and she kept telling me all that there is no such thing of that prescription online and instead of her telling me that they do not have that prescription in stock and relocating me to another CVS I called CVS on Naugatuck Connecticut and they told me they had that prescription in stock the pharmacist was very rude to me she hung up on me she told me that she was going to call the doctor to get me a new prescription but I thought she just told me that she did not received the prescription how unprofessional this Pharmacy has gotten and instead of relocating me to another CVS like she supposed to because that is her job as a pharmacist she instead gave me the run around and just lied and then just didn't want to do her job I had to do her job for her called another CVS and find out if they had that prescription I will never go to this Pharmacy again I've been a customer there for 17 years CVS just lost me as a customer now I will start getting my prescription at another Pharmacy I will make sure CVS will not make not one more Penny from my insurance company and for my kids prescriptions very unprofessional all I wanted was my damn antibiotic .
pharmacy
For the last four months the cove's in Anderson Indiana
on Scatterfield Rd is a 24 hour pharmacy and has a very large turn over in employees. The employees they are choosing are not patient quality for customers the employees have no knowledge, they are dressed poorly, they have facile jewelry and tattoos. The energy is very very low ...The floor and shelving in their back area is terrible ...Someone really needs to take charge and see what is going on in this pharmacy...
A very concern customer in Anderson Indiana who may go to Walgreens
working on issues
The high employee turnover rate may be a sign that they're working to hire better quality individuals. New employees will have a lot less knowledge than seasoned employees, of course. Regardless of that, what does facial jewelry and tattoos have to do with their abilities to be good employees? That is awfully judgmental of you.
cvs pharmacy
This complain is aboutique the CVS Pharmacy on 8705 E Speedway Blvd, Tucson AZ 85710.
The technicians are uncompetent and are locking professionalism! Yet again, the technician Diana in combined effort with the technician Christopher told me to go fill in my prescription in Walgreens or Frys because they don't have the product (needles 22g 1.5") and their distributor doesn't carry it either. This was complete nonsense! I had filled this product with them several times over the last year. The next day I walked in and Nicole, the pharmacist, filled in the prescription without a problem. Nicole is always kind and professional. They not just had the product but was also available immediately! I'm just amazed and wonder if this is the pharmacy policy on sending the customers to their competitors! Get your staff retrained, this is unacceptable!
minute clinic

unethical behavior of a pharmacy manager named ann hofmann
Formal Complaint on Pharmacy Manager Ann Hofmann who works at CVS Pharmacy on 820 Edgewood Road, York, PA. 17402, Store ID#4215.
My husband went into the CVS Pharmacy on 11/16/2017, Thursday between the hours of 5pm - 6pm. He had a written prescription for Hydrocodon-Acetominophen, 30 day, 240 pills, 1 1/2 pills every 3 hours.
Now he has been taking this for 15 years now ever since he had back surgery in Las Vegas to replace 2 disks and since then has had chronic back pain. My husband is not a opiod addict and has never been. He in fact only the takes the meds as he needs it not as written and often has pills left over when its time to renew the prescription.
The prescription has been written incorrectly for the last 6 years as a 30 day supply of 240 pills and it has been filled by CVS Pharmacy for the last 6 years. Now last month my husband went into the Edgewood pharmacy to fill this same prescription and was told by the pharmacist who was there that the prescription was written wrong. Both the pharmacist and my husband said thats why it seems like he runs out of pills before its time to renew. The prescription states 240 pills for 30 days but when you do the math the number of pills should be 360 pills for 30 days or it should be 240 pills for 20 days.
Now Ann told my husband that she could not refill the prescription as written because it says 30 days for 240 pills and she knew the math was wrong. My husband showed her the last prescription sticker that her pharmacy filled that said 240 pills for 20 days. Last month that pharmacist corrected the prescription because the math was wrong. Ann said she still wouldnt fill the prescription. My husband asked for a supervisor or manager and Holly told him that she is the pharmacy manager and that there was no one higher up than her. So then my husband asked Ann if he got a new prescription from his doctor for the exact same as it is written on the prescription but the 30 day was changed to 20 day...would she fill it? Ann proceeded to tell my husband that his doctor would not do that and would not answer his question till he asked her 2 more times and then Ann said Yes she would fill it with 20 days written on it. Then Ann told my husband that she has the right to refuse to fill any prescription she feels is wrong or if she feels that the person is abusing the meds. Then Ann turned around and looked at 2 salesclerks and snickered and laughed. This was very rude, unprofessional and demeaning.
Just to let you know that Ann was standing over by the drive thru window using that computer and yelling back to my husband who was at the counter during their whole conversation. Everyone and anyone could hear the whole conversation. * This is a violation of Hippa. * And a violation of CVS practices according to your code of conduct . So now anyone who heard this conversation knows all of this and because of Anns remark about abuse of meds...people probably think my husband is a drug addict!
I have researched this Edgwood facility and I saw that they have had numerous complaints about the store employees.
Now today, 11-17-2017, Friday, 11:12am...my husband went back to the Edgwood pharmacy to fill his rewritten prescription as:
Hydrocodone-Aceteminophen, 240 pills, 20 days, take 1 1/2 pills every 3 hours and it was filled. Now one of the salesclerks from yesterday was there today and stated that she didnt hear the whole conversation so my husband then told her the about the incident and the pharmacist manager on duty said it does not matter about the 30 days, its the math thats important. Also a different pharmacy salesclerk stated that Ann will always go by the number of days on the prescription and wont do the math ever. So your Pharmacy Manager Ann Hofmann has a bad reputation already with your store employees and noone is doing anything about it.
Just an FYI...my husbands doctor is also filing a complaint through his medical channels as this same pharmacy has done wrong to another of his patients. Not sure if its Ann or not.
I expect an answer in regards to this incident. I expect Ann to apologize to my husband in front of the 2 salesclerks she put a show on for. I expect a written response back from corporate.
Your husband IS addicted to those pills. Period. For sure! He doesn't know whether he has "pain" or "imagined pain" or no pain. He, frankly, has no way of knowing. He needs to see somebody about this little problem. This from an expert.
