Delivery and communication
I ordered a case of beer on Sunday. I got an email on Monday saying it is coming in Tuesday. Today is Tuesday and I have waited all day. This evening I get an email saying sorry there has been a delay and your order won't come today! Angry and frustrated. I have no other email communication about when it will come. And any email I get, gives me no option to change or cancel my order. I am so disappointed in the service and communication. Not good enough! I will not be using Dan Murphy or their services again. Ridiculous customer service. A DM is down the road from me. Too hard to send what I ordered from there via Uber. It has to come from somewhere else. Unbelievable! And to get a refund, it will take 3-4 days again! Crazy!
Rude customer service
Me and My friend went to buy beers on Friday at around 7:30 in the evening and Both of us are stopped by a security guy at the start of the store, He asked us to show ID, we went back to our car and brought the ID and shown him, My friend have the Australian Drivers Licence and I only have International Licence with me. The security guy, allowed my friend...

The music of late is depressive. I work at Dan's and yes do suffer with mental illness and the music of late wants to make me commit suicide.
The music is uninspiring, depressing and outright dull. 8weeks ago the music was awesome people where happy, bouncing singing when they where in store. Now everyone is draping their feet and cant wait to get out of the shop.
Please do something.
Service
Two of your sales reps were rude and the reason for that is because my friend and I went to buy some vodka but they would not provide service to either of us even though we had valid . I will never be going back to Dan Murphys because if that is the way they treat new customers at dan Murphys everywhere well guess I'm going back to buying things from aldi and I'll definitly be telling my fellow campers staying for the races here in Bathurst.
Behaviour
Friday 16th August I entered the Rowville store to purchase for myself. I entered store with my daughter, soon after when I was about to pick up my final item a security guard came up behind me (gave me a fright), asking my daughter for ID. I said she was my daughter but that did not matter according to him, he saw her pointing and we could not be served? No law against pointing. I placed items back and was escorted out and on the way out the man on the checkout gave me a filthy look. I was doing nothing wrong, law stops sale to minors and also says that they can enter with parent or guardian. I was given no way of proving myself. I was embarrassed by the whole thing as I am law abiding and would not provide alcohol to minors. I will not be entering any store again due to this service. If this is to happen then put a large sign on front door saying no one to enter under age of 18 or without ID. Bad policy. My integrity means a lot and you branded both myself and my daughter with no cause.
Service
I a 48yo dad went into Dan Murphy's BATHURST with my 26yo daughter. The old male manager was very rude to myself & my daughter while refusing to serve me because my daughter had a expired learners license (still photo I'd) even tho i was the one buying my afternoon bourbons for myself. Very surprised Dans would employ a person like that with such a rude...
Read full review of Dan Murphy'sTesting wine product
Today I went to Dan Murphy from strathpine & bought 3 bottle of wines. The cashier scanned one of the bottle bar code & couldn't get thru. However there was a writing T on the bar code & I thought it didn't mean anything. So the cashier asked me are you happy with the price 21.99, he just simply shout the price & asked whether I'm happy with the price & I told him I was happy to grab another same bottle for him since he couldn't scan the bar code. He said that's fine.
When I got home, I opened the wine and noticed the bottle been opened & tasted disgusting. So I went back there & need an explanation. The another stuff told me it was a tested. I was so disappointed because previous cashier must known this was a tested and decided to sell it to me. So unprofessional. Lastly, they agree to exchange new bottle for me.
Wasting my time to drive back to the shop and exchange it.
Unhelpful, smug and obnoxious store manager
I went into the Morley store in Perth today to price match a carton of beer, a simple question was would they price match?
My response however was confidently obnoxious and smug!
The store manager laughed as he proceeded to tell me that the store he was being asked to match the price with was all out of stock and all of their stock was out of date so there was no chance that he would honor the stores policy.
He must of thought i was a pleb to think this was an acceptable way to speak to a paying customer...
I left the store without purchasing anything out of principle!
I drove to the Balga store, asked the same question and was greeted with nothing but courteous help.
so of course i spent more money in the store.
I know nothing will come of this but it needs to be known.
Hot beer
AGAIN: I bought a cartoon of beer from My Pleasant outlet, from the cold room, expecting to be able to have a drink after a big and horrible day. I grabbed a cartoon from the cold room and happy paid full price. But I get home and the beer is not hot, but bloody warm. The very least your staff can do is two things: one: put new stock at bottom of consumer display in the cold room, or at least a sign advising "this is not cold" or better: " this beer should be drinkable (Australian Standards) at hh:mm"
I live within 100 metres of this outlet, buy at least two cartoons a week, but that goes now.
Service
My partner and I are being harrassed by 2 female staff from the Munno Para store. They do not wear name tags and as such I can only advise that one has short blonde cropped hair and the other has long brown hair and wears eyelash extensions. On numerous occasions they have closed their register to my partner, demanded that he remove his sunglasses and hat even though customers prior to him or after him are not asked, and they have refused service to me after accusing my partner of being drunk, which he was not - we had returned home from a long drive where he had fallen asleep to be woken up suddenly to go into Dans. I am having this matter investigated by Consumer Affairs. Today he was asked again to remove his sunglasses and was called "weird" when he left her register. I cannot believe the disrespect of staff these days, they are not being held accountable for their actions. We have been nothing but pleasant and respectful going into the store. Obviously these girls have their own personal issues that they are taking out on your customers. Believe me when I say that we will be advising everyone via Facebook and Twitter of this harassment.
Service
I wanted to purchase alcohol at dan murphys, tamworth last thursday night. As I reached the counter I was asked for identification. My p1 license has been recently hole punched, although still in date and verified I was over 18, because I had just attained my p2 license from services nsw. This was not accepted, I also had 3 other ways to identify being over 18 that where also not accepted. The other ways to very being over 18 included a responsible service of alcohol card which has photo identification on it. I am thoroughly discusted in the ability to not be able to recognise the constomer as being over 18.
THe reason they did not accept your license is because you are under 18 and had fake ID. Same with the other ID. I agree there is no way that you are 18 or over. I noticed that "disgusted" is not the only mistake that you made.
Service refusal
Myself (52) and my 20 year old daughter went to the middle Park store on Easter evening. We went to pay and were refused a purchase because my daughter didn't have her ID. Ok fair enough...
I myself went back later wanting to purchase the same items that I went and collected off the shelf AGAIN without my daughter there. They still refused to let me purchase the items after recognising me because "I could be serving it to her at home".
I have checked on the Qld laws on "youth laws Australia" and its none of their concern or business as a to what I being her parent serve her in my own home/ premises.
On top of that the staff were exceptionally rude and aggressive in the tone that they were speaking to me in when I questioned why I at 52 could not purchase this item.
So can I never walk into a Dan Murphys again and buy these items if they recognise me?
Very very disappointed.
Oh grow up. No and rude are not the same thing. Are you sure you are old enough to drink? I doubt you are 52, since you act 11.
Dan murphys
I buy a half dozen of the McGuigan Black Label Red every week as I really enjoy it but I purchased the half dozen mix tonight 18/4/19 7.40pm at Port Macquarie & it tastes terrible, I can not for the life of me drink it, can I return it & replace it without a receipt as I paid by C/card & didn't get my receipt & how will I know if I do get the right Red second time round?
Thank you for your time, Vikki Moore.
Taste completely different.

gift cards
I've several gift cards and they have small amounts left on them but when I've gone to use the left over amounts, I'm told I'm not able to because the registers weren't able to input that small amount.
This is not legal. It may be 5c or 20c here and there but it all adds up!

Service complaint
My 25 year old daughter her 29 year old fiancé and myself came into your Nerang store on the 20/12/18 to purchase Red wines for our Auto Electrician. The gentleman worker Mark was very helpful in choosing 3 bottles of good red wines and 6 pack of beer for me until i reached the checkouts. The female worker Kathy would not serve me as my daughter did not have id on her but yet she was not the one purchasing anything and told me to come back a day later to purchase my goods I think it is disgusting that three people over the age of eighteen can not be in a well known bottle shop Dan Murphy's to purchase my goods.
Yours sincerely
Debbie Lazarevich

Staff member
Went into dan Murphy's warrnambool, 12th January 2019, I went to purchase my items, I had my 17 year old daughter with me, the staff member refused to serve me as he presumed that I was buying them for my daughter. What right have they got to do that. I told him he has lost a well valued customer. He just gave me a dirty look. I wont be back in there.
Rewards card
A while ago I received a temporary dans Murphy card. I came home and registered it and never received a proper card. Today I went into dan Murphy's in Bala Western Australia and spen $180 and asked to sign up and they said I couldn't as I would need a different email address as I was in the system but no membership number. The girl that served me first was very patronising and expected me to have another email which I don't. She got the manager and whilst they were discussing the matter he didn't know I was standing behind him and he made a sarcastic comment. When he came over he offered to call the service desk as did the first girl but made sure I knew it was an inconvenience. I they just kept saying I needed another email. I really hope Dan Murphy's do not expect me to start a new email for them. I would like my dan Murphy's rewards card and I would like my purchase of today to be added. I myself have worked in the liquor industry for many years and were taught to go out of your way for the customers. At this stage first Choice Liquor will become my bottle shop where I did get reward points with no hassle and almost left to go and buy my alcohol today. Unless this is sorted I will post my incident on Facebook of over 1000 friends and I will also go to to first choice from now on. Not a nice way to start Christmas.
I suggest your manager learn more about the rewards card as he had no idea and then made me feel bad. I was almost in tears.
Maybe you shouldn't advertise on the docket to join rewards programme if I can't because your company didn't send me a card
Thank you
Trina Woodhouse
