no refund given
My wife and I Domenico Iorfida stayed at the Days Inn New York. The address is
215 West 94th street, New York, NY 10025. Tel. # [protected].
We arrived early morning October 8, 2018. We ask if we could check in early however, the front desk stated that there was no assurance this would happen and to check back before 3pm if the room was ready. We also asked to see the room and front desk said not at that time. We told the front desk we were only in New York for one day a stop off on our honeymoon. The front desk asked us if we wished to leave bags however, we didn't need that service, as we only brought back packs and were heading back to Washington DC the following day October 9 2108, where our belongings were. We went out to enjoy NYC and all the sights that we could in one day. We returned to the hotel at approximately 7pm, stayed for a few minutes and then left to check out. The reason for leaving and how it happened was as follows. I was cleaning up in the restroom and my wife was so sad and upset that she cried and said she cannot stay in the room. There was old furniture the room and entire hotel had a funny smell in the hallways near the room and in the room, the elevators were filthy, the light switch was dirty, bed-sheet had a hole, the wall paper was torn, the lamp shades had stains the bathroom was dirty and rusty, the TV was so old and we couldn't see very well, the picture was snowy or blurred, lastly the internet was bad as well we had to stand near the door to get connected? We will attach some photos for you to see. My wife left the hotel and went outside I went to the front desk to check out the front desk offered a different room which still was not up to standard. I ask for a refund and the front desk said they could not give one to me. The attendant then handed me a card with the name Angela Valerio, who is the Assistant Front office manager. They told me to call the following day to get a refund or to see how the issue could be resolved. We called Angela Valerio twice and both times she was not available. Once was in the afternoon second time was in the morning. We asked to leave a voice message and did so. We have not heard back from Angela Valerio and the charge is still on our VISA. $147.28. We sent her an email as well, checked our spam message to see if there was a response again nothing. Furthermore, we have also spent $5.00 with a calling card to make the calls to NYC, as we are from Canada. We are hoping for a refund as we clearly did not use the room. We do travel a lot and have been in Days Inn before, as our company pays for us many times, when we travel. But, this was the worst hotel we have seen ever. It was a sad day for us because, we just wanted to have a nice stop over in NYC and relax a little, before enjoying the night life of NYC. Please consider this request we are only being truthful and fair in our opinion. If a refund is not possible then a free night stay at any of your hotels world wide would be acceptable, as long as it is worth $147.28. We truly hope you consider our refund as we are not wealthy individuals but we do love to travel.
dirty/filthy room at days inn collierville tennessee
RE: Mr. Santoshkumar Veeramalla
Confirmation: 83577EC005512
Arrival: 16SEP2018
To Whom It May Concern:
My name is Crystal Pryor from Giselle's Travel.
I am writing you in behalf of a client of mine and guest of yours who stayed at your property in Collierville, TN on Sept 16, 2018. He was supposed to stay a total of 4 nights. His room was so dirty, with flies, mosquitos and insects, that it wasn't fit to stay in. In addition, the phone in his room did not work. He elected to check out early because of these reasons. I called the hotel front desk on the 18SEP to let them know that Mr. Veeramalla will be canceling the last 2 nights of his stay and moving to another hotel in the area. I was told that the manager, Harry Patel said that Mr. Veeramalla's remaining 2 nights were not refundable.
I would like to request a refund of the last 2 nights because our client would have stayed all 4 nights if his room was clean.
I appreciate your time and hope this matter can be resolved.
If you want to call me, see my phone # below.
Otherwise, my email is: [protected]@globaltrav.com
Thanks,
Crystal Pryor

hotel reservation
NOTHING great about this property at all. If I could subtract stars, I would!
This place IS. NOT. SOMEWHERE. YOU. WANNA. STAY! NIGHTMARE! The area is bad. Parking is limited, except for "additional parking" in the back of the building. The property is run down and outdated. There was a random group of males hanging around outside all night long (even when we had to check out at 1:30am). The people above us started fighting and we heard what sounded like a "death scream" from a female. Before we could even laid down to attempt to sleep, my husband got bit by a bed bug. We took the bug to the front office...which was locked and no one was there. I called the front office and didn't get an answer. I called back and a male answered asking where I was. He appeared at the front desk. My husband and I expressed our concerns. He was rude, told us that he was unable to process our refund and that I would have to "contact the owner on Monday". He acted as if he didn't care about our concerns and as if we were just trying to con him out of money. A drunk male entered the lobby, at which time the clerk diverted his attention and proceeded to argue with him. The male disregarded everything the clerk said and proceeded to an area that the clerk said "had been shut down", "looking for a female". This motel is definitely UNDER PAR!
I contacted the property as I was told and spoke to someone named Alison who claimed to be the manager. She was rude, argumentative, unconcerned and continued to talk over me, not listening to anything that I had to say. She insisted that I "must have left without telling anyone" because "nobody made me aware". She talked over me, drowning out what I was trying to say and then told me that I was yelling. She eventually told me that she would refund the money for my reservation.
I checked my credit card statement a couple says later and find that they charged me $66.30 for the 3 hours that we were there. I contacted the owner at the number that was provided to me by Wyndham Hotel Group. A male answered the phone and identified himself as Mihir (the owner). I explained to him who I was and why I was calling. He demanded to know how I got his number. I told him. He then said "I'll call you back later". I responded by saying that "I'm simply trying to get this issue resolved. You do realize that this is bad business, right". At which time, he hung up on my and wouldn't answer any more calls. I contacted Wyndham Hotel Group and they "can't do anything about it" and has been no help regarding the matter.
This experience was worst stay EVER! I have NEVER stayed at a "Wyndham property" as nasty, run down, sketchy and below standard as this Days Inn, and I will never stay at a Wyndham Property or Days Inn…EVER AGAIN! It should also be noted that at NO time during this nightmare did anyone apologize, take our complaint seriously or even attempt to resolve the matter. NEVER AGAIN!
I still have not received a full refund as of 10/16/18
everything
(10/13/2018)The entire place smelled strongly of mold. I work in the mold Mitigation and water restoration field. It's BAD. Carpet in room 146 was melted in spots (see pics below) it was also sticky and stained. I refused to take our socks and shoes off after turning the washcloths black from washing our feet after ten minutes of being barefoot. The guy we dealt with couldn't be bothered with our business. I asked for extra pillows because my partner just had hand surgery and he told me "housekeeping is gone", I offered to come up and get them, he hung up. I ended up using the blanket as a pillow so we could elevate his hand. The toilet was really low and so close to the wall that we had to sit on it sideways. The furniture was beaten down. Only one of the two outlets worked. I had such a awful headache from the mold smell that I spend most of the early morning hours throwing up. The pool area was filled with people who obviously weren't staying there. The ice machine by the pool and our room was broken and when I asked if there was another one I was told to look by the café that had no one in it. The vending machines were broken. To top off all of this, when I finally went to take a shower a huge bug of some sort came scurrying out of the shower drain at me. I am beyond angry that we wasted our hard earned money in this place and even more mad that we had to find another hotel and tie up MORE money in deposits, and the like, for the duration of our stay. I would STRONGLY encourage anyone who wants to know, never to waste their money in this place.
room
I rented two room at Days Inn in Farmer City IL. Upon entering the rooms the following things happen:
1: dead bugs in the bed
2: blood on the toilet seat and urine in the toilet
3: mold on ceiling in bathroom
4: dead bugs in bathtub
5: no hot water
6: dead bugs on floor
7: stains on dirty sheets on bed
When I complained I was told that it wasn't true and the lack of hot water was the towns fault. I asked for a discount and after much discussion was given a 15% discount but would not give me s receipt or anything in writing.
I have pictures and showed them. Again I was told not true.
This is unacceptable and I will never stay at a Days Inn again. I now feel I should get s full refund.
room cleanliness
Checked into Days Inn West Trinity Nashville and being I'm not from area I thought days inn is good. WRONG! The door lock on outside was broken, there was a hole in the outside door, hole in the bathroom door, mirror had black stains on it, shower didn't drain, toilet barely flushed, the beds were made and room smelled clean. I requested money back within 5 minutes of check inn and was told they can't do a refund and we were welcome to check out but would still be charged for the night and a late cancellation for the following night. I requested a refund but being we stayed there already I was told it wasn't possible. I will never stay at another Days Inn again. This hotel looks like it was a motel 6 or some lower class hotel. This should not be a days inn. Upon checkout I say the cleaning people spraying spray in the room and didn't even change the sheets on the bed next door!
days inn downtown vancouver
on September 22, 2018 my husband and I checked into Days Inn, Downtown Vancouver and I must say I have never been so disappointed and disgusted in an establishment in all my life. This hotel was booked for us through our travel agent at Maritime Travel to whom we have contacted and sent pictures of our room. We were in one room and the shower was moldy and so discusting that I told them I could not stay in that room so they changed our rooms and although it was better it was still not sanitary, there were nails and silicone holding up the wallpaper, mold and water stains all over the doorways and floor, I will tell you it reminded me of a room out of a movie where a prostitute would tend to her customers. I paid $400 for this room for one night, and I must say thank god it was only for one night as we were leaving for a cruise the next morning. I complained to the staff and got no results except being told we thank you for your visit, really I am very sure I will never stay in another Days Inn when we travel. Very disappointed in this establishment Hotel Confirmation # 82317EC014450
the manager
The little short manager there in Manning SC I-95 exit 119 is the rudest little B***h I have ever spoken with on a phone . I was trying to request reservations for a room and because I have a speech impediment the little witch hung up on me 3 times. I have her name and will be seeking an attorney for discrimination and will be contacting the BBB. Stay the hell away from this unprofessional establishment until they fire that dirty trailer trash b***h. If I were closer to that place of so called business I would have stop by and give her a piece of my mind but as a manager myself I know how to deal with Days Inns in Manning SC professionally.
I am complaining about the condition of the room
Hello
On 10/6/2018 I stayed at Wyndham in Goodlettsville. When I arrived I found that the
sink in the room was on the floor. I could not brush my teeth or wash my face. I called the night manager Chris to be asked to move to another room. He told me they were sold out for the night and there was nothing he could do. I asked for a discounted rate because of the inconvenience, he told me there was nothing he could do because I booked on Expedia. He also stated if I didnt like it I could leave.
So Unproffesional
hazardous waste and poor service
I stayed at the days inn by wyndham and I will never go to another one. This was in Hendersonville NC on Mitchelle Dr. Upon entering into the room there was a odor in the air. The beds were unmade and the floor was dirty with trash on it. We opened the first drawer roaches ran out of it and the second drawer results were the same. The 3rd drawer not only came with roaches but a sheet with condoms both used and unused with a unfolded sheet crammed in drawer. A condom on the floor with semen in it. There were holes in ceiling and the baseboards were crumbling and microwave covered in roaches and beyond nasty. Cigarette burns all over bathroom and a office chair stained with semen and worn out. The bed and headboard as well had roaches. I took pictures of all this and then went to get a refund and they told me they had no more rooms and never offered to come to room and said they couldn't give refund because I paid booking.com. This turned out to not be true and a lie. However I chose to leave and lose 239.42 instead of sleeping in filth
uncleanliness, equipment malfunction
As soon as I checked into the hotel the people loitering outside smoking pot and doing god knows what else should have been the main reason I never walked into that hotel! I was staying for work and didn't have much of an option. When I got my keys and all checked in I was on the second floor. When I got on the elevator and hit the 2nd floor it took me into the basement where I was stuck for a few minutes because I couldn't get the elevator to go back to the main floor. When I hit the number 2 again it took me to the 1st level. I told the manager about the situation and his response was "yeah sometimes that happens, I should probably put a sign up"? Really? When I get to my room my comforters had stains all over the outside and when I took I started the shower water it was yellow for probably 30 seconds before it ran clear. Needless to say, I didn't shower after working a long day and being called in all night! All through the night my hallway smelled of marijuana and I could even smell it in my room! I ended up sleeping with my desk infront of the door because I was so nervous. The only reason I didn't leave is because of the people who were hanging around outside that were up to no good! I have never written a bad review about any place but I would never spend $20 to stay at that hotel again and the fact I payed almost $80 makes me sick! It was definitely a situation in which my bank account should have been refunded!
integrity of the day’s inn hotel
Good afternoon,
I am contacting you today to voice my concerns on a particular issue and I am wondering if there is anyway the corporate office may be able to help me. First off, let me begin by saying my family and I have been staying with Day's Inn hotels for years and have had great experiences, however this past weekend was an absolute nightmare and I believe our family was treated unfairly. We booked a room at the Day's Inn location: 8 Everleth Drive, Plattsburgh, NY 12901, a location we are familiar with, over the phone on 10/04/18. We were originally booking the room for 10/06/18 for one day, but the representative on the phone informed us that our stay must be a 2 night minimum, which we were uncertain about but none the less booked the room for 2 nights (10/05/18-10/07/18) for around $300 and received confirmation under the confirmation number under my husbands name Jacob Day. We also informed the male representative that we will not be able to make it for the check in on 10/05/18, which he confirmed will be no problem, because we are in fact paying for both nights.
Upon arrival on 10/06/18 the front desk clerk Anna informed us that our reservation can not be found in the system. Therefore she can not check us in. We were obviously stunned by this given that we had already paid and received confirmation. She began raising her voice and saying there is nothing she could do about it. We then began getting frustrated with the situation, not having a place to stay overnight due to all the hotels in the area being booked and to make matters even worse she told us we cannot get our refund. Not knowing what do and without Anna's cooperation, we contacted the Day's Inn customer care @ [protected]. After being on the phone with customer care for over an hour they soon realized that the confirmation was no longer under my husbands name but under someone else. We can provided bank statements with proof of payment for this stay if needed.
So here we are, my husband exhausted, myself five months pregnant on a Saturday night after driving 3 hours in the parking lot with no where to stay, not being helped and quiet frankly feeling very disrespected by the hotel employee and to top it all off we couldn't even leave with our money back.
With that being said customer care provided us with a case number and told us to wait over a week for a resolution because the only person authorized to refund our money is the hotel manager who was not available and there was no time frame given to when he/she would be available. We are very disappointed in the way this entire situation was handled. Wyndham Hotels' mission statement states Integrity as one of their core values and that was non-existent this past weekend at your Plattsburgh, NY location. We would greatly appreciate it if the company can please make this right for me and my husband.

black mold in my bathroom
I stayed at a Days Inn in Little Rock AR on 29 Sep 2018. I was in room 146. When I went to use the bathroom I saw black mold on the ceiling, ice box full of frost and dirty shower mat. I think it would be a good idea if you would investigate this motel and make sure that all rooms are clean!
Thank You

unkempt rooms
My husband and I reserved a ground floor at the Day's Inn in Bend OR. for an over night stay on 9?20>2018. We had called the motel directly and was informed that the desk clerk could not provide us with directions to the motel. He said he does'nt drive. red flag? from our leaving point to the Bend area is a 7 hour drive without stops. so having directions would have been a plus. Upon arrival we were given room number 103, I walked in and the room had not been cleaned, unmade bed, trash on the floor, food on the table etc. I did not look in the bathroom. I went back to the office and the desk clerk said oh really the maids signed this room off as cleaned. so then he said let me see what other rooms are available, first of all he said there was one on floor 2, and I told him no there is no way we can do a second floor, my husband is on oxygen and there are no elevators. then he said we could have the handicapped room but that one is priced at $10 more, I said no we will not take that room at an additional cost. after discussing this he did give us that room at the lower price. Well this room was not cleaned, there was tissue in the drain in the bathroom, the bed was sloppily made and there was a huge stain in the carpet that was about 18 inches in diameter. The 2 chairs that were provided were stained and sagged when sat in. there was only 1 glass provided, I went to the office to be provided with another glass, and the desk clerk said I dont know where they keep those things. well its to my understanding that the desk clerk has access to every room at that said establishment. he provided me with 2 disposable cups (that leaked). Upon check out the desk clerk (different person) told me that the original room should not have been rented to tus since it was out of commission due to repairs, Well that struck me as being fishy since the room had the trash and unmade bed etc. We will probably never stay at this Days Inn ever again to the poor service and unkept rooms.

negligence of structure and cleanliness in hotel room bathroom
I am writing to complain about the state of our hotel room from Tuesday, September 11th 2018. My wife and I stayed at your location at 15636 Hawthorne Blvd in Lawndale, CA. For one night. The going rate was 107.90 (taxes included). We were incredibly displeased with the cleanliness of the room, particularly the bathroom. Upon inspection of said bathroom, we found a damaged hazardous lamp and very dark mold in various places. There was visible mold on the ceiling, and on the bottom of the bathtub. There was also the odor of mold in the air which made us very uneasy, and unable to get a good nights rest.
mold smell, shower curtain moldy, carpet sticky
My name is Barb Ross and I made a reservation for Sept. 21 at days in Columbus Indiana. We checked in and was giving room 119. When I opened the door I noticed the room wasn't cleaned and there was a overwhelming smell of mold. Went back to the front desk and told him the room wasn't cleaned and the room smelled. He gave me room number 122. That room was actually cleaned but had the same smell. Went to check the room out and noticed the shower curtain was covered in mold. Talked to front desk to have it changed and air freshener. I figured the smell of mold was from the shower curtain. So after all that I still smelled that odor and at this point I'm having trouble breathing since I have chronic asthma. Went to the front desk to let them know and I was told there isn't anything they can do and had no other rooms available for me. I had to call around for another hotel and finally found one for twice the price but well worth it. This is the very 1st hotel I packed up and let for a different one. This place needs to be investigated before it kills someone.
hotel.
My name is Lyndsay Arthur. I stayed at the Days Inn in Fort Jackson, Columbia SC on Aug. 22nd for business. It was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a hotel. The staff was unprofessional, and rude. Check in took forever, at least 30 minutes, even though I was the only person in the hotel lobby. They weren't able to find my reservation at first, and made it seem like I wouldn't be able to stay the night because they were so booked up. But that wasn't the bad part. Our room was so worn and old, and dirty. My cousin and I slept on top of the covers because we were too nervous to get underneath. And then to top it all off, there was a dirty syringe in the drawer of the desk.
I posted about my experience on Facebook, and was messaged by someone from the days inn. They told me that the manager David would reach out to me and that they would be monitoring the situation. David did call me twice, but unfortunately we played phone tag for a few days. To remedy this issue, I called and spoke with someone at the hotel and told them to give David my email so that we could pinpoint a time to talk. This was about 2 weeks ago, and I have heard NOTHING. The last time I tried to reach out, I spoke with another employee and told him the issues I was having and to have David give me a call so that we could come to a conclusion about the issue. It's beyond disturbing to me how everything has been handled. I feel forgotten, and pushed to the side.
I want an answer from someone, I want a refund, but I refuse to talk to David from the hotel. I've tried enough times to talk with him but have been ignored.
I need an answer.
Thanks for your time.
michealwood m5
My partner and I have just come back from a stay at Days Inn Michealwood M5, just outside Bristol, England. We stayed here for 2 nights from 21st - 23rd September as we where in the area for a wedding.
To say that this place was less then satisfying is a total understatement, I was absolutely shocked. The only nice thing about here was the girl on reception who checked us in.
We stayed in room 114 on the 2nd floor. This room was filthy, the bedding sheets where dirty and had staines all over one side and the bathroom sink had a massive crack straight through it, this is only the start. We arrived quite late so didn't want to make a fuss about the sheets so laid a towel on top of the dirt patches as we knew house keeping would come in the morning, which they did and they did make the bed however it was still the same dirty sheet. In the night my partner got up to go the toilet, in the morning when I went back in there was water everywhere it appears there was a leak at the back of the toilet. Sadly I told the house keeping lady who I found in the corridor, but her English wasn't good enough to understand me. The carpet in the room didn't look like it had seen a hoover in weeks.
We tried to change hotel for the 2nd night but as there was 2 weddings in the area space was limited so we had to stay with what we had.
This has left us with a very sad image of days Inn chain, maybe the other rooms where off better standards and we where just unfortunate but frankly this is not acceptable. I booked though bookings.com but paid the hotel cash on arrival. I will also be getting in touch with bookings.com as this hotel reflects on them, so they should know for future otherwise they may get other people complain.
I look forward to hearing back from your selves
cleanliness and environment
Simply put. This hotel was the worst! I've stayed here for 3 years about the same time every year. 1st night wasn't to bad 2nd night people fighting in the court yard. The next morning 4 police officer show up the next morning. That evening people smoking pot like it's no big deal, 3rd night people making out in the hall and again arguing and fighting. Upon checking out a huge dead rat outside my door, beer cans and trash throughout. I have pics contact me for more. I want a refund.. Thanks
