returned items credited to THEIR Mastercard
I bought two items through Deal Dash and won one and received them from Best Buy. For the Buy-it-Now items, my bids were returned to my account as promised. I then returned the items to Best Buy and found out they credited Deal Dash's Mastercard, not mine. Deal Dash now says that they will "refund your money for the Buy it Now items as well as remove the bids from your account that you received for these." That means I can get my money back for the items but they won't let me keep the bids which added up to almost the same amount as the Buy-it-Now price I paid. I've given them the opportunity to either credit my PayPal account with the full amount they got from Best Buy instead of me or supply me with the equivalent Best Buy gift card. I'll let you know how it comes out, whether they do the right thing or whether I have to escalate this with the police/legal system.

If you are looking for a deal and to save money... nothing is as good as it seems
First time users win easily and products are shipped quickly. However, once you pass your "first time bidders only" auctions, it is impossible to win. There are people (or bots) on there bidding for days on end. If you want to gamble the site is fun. If you want to gamble and buy the item at BIN the site is fun. If you are looking for a deal and to save money... nothing is as good as it seems :)
There is nooo winning
Bids are .60 per bid...yes the more you get into it, you can get bids for .20 per bid or so... Each bid a bidder places takes the auction up .01! So let's say you are bidding on a 25.00 item... The bid is at $10.25...that means 1025 bids have been placed at let's just average .40 per bid...that is over $400 they have brought in for that $25.00 item...yes people can opt to buy that it'sm and get bids back...but really? Unless you are lucky Nd time a bid right...there is nooo winning.
DealDash is 100% committed to providing bidders with a fair and honest auction experience, and is the longest running auction site of our kind in the United States. Every bid is placed at the direction of one of our 1.5 million registered users, and thousands of people win great bargains in our auctions each and every day!
The bids on our website are valued at 60 cents each, but this valuation is not an accurate reflection of the cost to customers. Most customers buy their bids at heavily discounted promotional rates, sometimes as low as 12 cents each. Additionally, there are numerous bidding reward programs that give users the opportunity to earn free bids just by participating, thereby lowering the cost per bid even more. Customers win the products in our auctions at a fraction of what they would pay at a retail outlet, and thousands of people are able to take advantage of this service to get great deals on items they love!
I understand if you have concerns regarding pricing, so please don't hesitate to get in touch with our customer support team if you have any additional questions. They are available around the clock to help customers like yourself, and are currently able to respond to all queries within 24 hours.
Let me let you in on a secret...its not people bidding against you...its computers. Pre-programmed bots that are designed to extract as many bids out of you as possible. You will never win. Check out the hundreds of complaints on here about them.
Dishonest company
I joined this site in early Nov. and did win a few high end items but also spent alot of money but still was ahead of the game at this point.I was not recieving my stuff when promised and realized there was know phone no. for customer service only email which know one responed to.Then after a few weeks and stilling spending money and no more winning and starting to see the same people in every auction I was in.I started to realize this was a scam when I tried to win a IPad and was in for hours with only two people left and someone came in bidding over me till the other person won.I lost about $500.00 in a few of these auctions and decieded to watch them for a few days and noticed with 4 windows open with auctions on IPad they allhad the same people betting off and on for hours spending what would be thousands of dollers and than they would just leave, and go to another this site has bots in every auction to run the bids up so they make alot of money. All high end items can only be won once so I also checked winners and low and behold they have won every IPad and computer and TV or any other large ticket item.these same people are on day and night don't they sleep or work? They also don't lose money by letting them win because if a item like a IPad is up to $300.00 it is cheaper to let a bot win and not have to pay a supplier for it they make their money on the bid not the price of the items because they still have to pay for them. You will see the same people in 10 to 15 auctions at the same time and betting off and on in all and some are in every auction but never bid at all. After you are a fool like me and lose money you watch and see how dishonest this site is and yo0u should run not walk away!

I agree, and I do not recommend DealDash either. Dealdash.com has terrible Customer support protocols, doesn’t have in stock a lot of the items it is selling, over inflates item value and then tries to negotiate worse deals when said item is out of stock (Bait and Switch). Also everything that was “out of stock” DD continued to auction the very same item over and over even after I was notified that it was out of stock. The Better Business Bureau has on file for all to see, that DD has “resolved” over 120 complaints in just the month of December 2012, (these are ‘resolved’ complaints…can you imagine how many were filed, and not resolved yet?) Why so many complaints? The following DD practices, lack of honesty and integrity is what led to all the complaints (this is why I and SO many others have complained): Because DD takes your money, and does not ship all the products it sold you, and/or double bills your PP account, and/or ships a damaged/non-working product, and/or sends you a 50 dollar gift card when you win/purchase a $250.00 one, the list goes on and on. These are all just examples of their bad faith practices and complete lack of customer support is appalling. STEER CLEAR OF DealDash! And if you're already invested and feel duped by them there are helpful sites to try to get your items and try to get some resolve such as BBB, Paypal, Internet Crime Complaint Center and numerous facebook pages for people that feel they need help such as dealdashripoff among others. Good Luck to those in my shoes and congratulations to those that never visited DealDash.
Please know you are not alone, there are many, many unhappy DealDash customers. If you are on facebook, lookup dealdashripoff on facebook, It’s a community of others just like you, where you will find a wealth of information. You can also go to dealdashripoff.com for help and suggestions. I hope you get some resolution to your issues...good luck!

Deal Dash has been ignoring it's customers by not returning emails regarding missing won/purchased auction items
Deal Dash has been ignoring it's customers by not returning emails regarding missing won/purchased auction items . There is no way to reach them by phone. Their phone number directs you to email them. IF you do get an email response, it's usually weeks later and then all you get are empty promises and canned auto replies when you inquire where your missing won auction items are that you were due to receive WEEKS or MONTHS ago, based on the dates they gave you when you won the auction. They set the status for the items as "shipped" as soon as you pay them, yet in my case, when a customer service rep finally responded to my email, admitted that they had never been shipped, and wouldn't BE shipped for another week or two. They ruined my Christmas, and I still haven't received my won items. I won them in mid-November. They were due here by December 5, 2012. That's the date Deal Dash posted on those items. By late December, I finally filed claims with Pay Pal, and my credit card company. Pay Pal has a 45 day time limit, so I didn't want time to run out. When Pay Pal sent my claim to Deal Dash and asked for a tracking number for the shipped items, Deal Dash provided Pay Pal with FAKE USPS tracking numbers. For every item. My claims are currently under review with Pay Pal and my credit card company has issued Deal Dash (via Pay Pal) chargebacks for my claims. I also have posted reviews on sites like this everywhere, have filed with the BBB, and my next step is the NY State Attorney and my local police department. IF you need help with similar issues...or even have other problems, such as you've noticed strange or unusual activity in the auctions (such as constant freezing, etc), you're a victim of bait and switch (you won something but they sent you something that was of lesser value or refurbished, for example), or if you received an item that was broken and they won't allow you to return it... go to this site on Facebook. There are people there that will try to help.
I'm sorry to hear that you're dissatisfied with your experience on our site. DealDash currently provides service to over 1.5 million customers, and is the longest running auction site of our kind in the US!
DealDash is committed to providing bidders with a fair and honest auction experience. When customers place an order with us we send the information to our suppliers, who then ships the items. Customers are given reference numbers for their purchases as soon as they pay, but this information cannot be used by customers to track shipments via USPS (or any other carrier), and we do not make claims to the contrary. Tracking information is provided by the suppliers who send the items to customers, and we do our very best to make this information available to customers as quickly as possible. In many cases, this information is now being provided directly to customers via their dashboards. These policies are fully and explicitly disclosed in the Terms of use document that all customers read and agree to abide by when they register for their accounts.
Over the holidays our suppliers experienced some delays in fulfilling some of their orders, but we have since caught up and fulfilled almost all outstanding orders. Furthermore, all customers who have experienced these delays are being credited with a complimentary 200 count bid pack as an apology, and you can find more information about this on our website. We also value all feedback customers provide, as we are constantly working to improve our service to deliver the level of service our customers deserve!
As you have not provided any personal details here I am unable to verify who you are, or any details related to your account. Likewise, I am unable to refer to your Paypal claims. However, when you file disputes with Paypal orders are put on hold until your payments can be verified. The actions you describe here tend to create further delays and complicate issues, issues that are otherwise able to be resolved quickly and efficiently if given the opportunity. Our customer support staff is currently able to respond within 24 hours of receiving messages from our customers, so please let them know if you require their assistance with your items, payments, or anything else with your DealDash account.

A person cannot win on this site unless they are using unethical practices
I don't know what site these people below me are on, but it can't be dealdash. Either that or they are being compensated by DD, or are employees of DD. The last few months, there have been nothing but errors, bots.shill bidders, multiple accounts, etc. A person cannot win on this site unless they are using unethical practices, which DD seems to allow.
I'm sorry you feel that way about our site. We strive to provide bidders with a fair and honest auction experience, and currently do so for over 1.5 million customers in the US! I do work for DealDash, and I can assure you that our service has been audited by third parties to verify that there are no shill bidders, bots, or other illicit activity interfering with the auctions.
I do not have your personal details, and so I am unable to check on your particular account. However, I recommend you contact our customer support personnel with these concerns, as they are available to help. We are currently responding to all customer queries within 24 hours, so please send us message detailing these issues and we'll be more than happy to investigate these claims and address your concerns.

non-delivery of purchases
DealDash is fraudulent, bordering on criminal...
I have had several problems with DealDash. I currently have merchandise totaling over $650.00 (DealDash store prices), have been paid for and have not been delivered.
The most recent fraud events began when bids were bought and I participated in the offered online auction, under false pretenses with the expectation that DealDash was making honest and non-fraudulent statements about the services they provide. They have continued to make fraudulent and misleading statements. After winning the auction, and paying DealDash, they have accepted payment for the items, sent me emails stating the items were shipped and provided fraudulent tracking numbers.
Over a month later I am still waiting for several items. I have also been a victim of bait and switch with 14 OTHER items, with retail prices totaling over $1500.00. These other 14 items, I never received, due to either being “out of stock”, or “lost” in the mail. These 14 items could not be disputed with Paypal (the entity I use to pay DealDash) because DealDash strung out the correspondence with untrue statements (saying the items were shipped for over a month, then telling me that they never shipped them, only to find out they never had the items to ship (out of stock).
They state their customer service is available 24 hours a day to assist with customer issues. Fraudulent statement. They have no phone number even listed anymore. They claimed emails would be responded to within 24-48 hours. Fraudulent statement. Takes weeks if they even bother to respond at all, leaving the customer with NO way to contact anyone. This includes the current phone number and email address that pops up when you try to begin a paypal dispute. The tracking numbers they provide when they tell you the item is shipped are fraudulent. They tell you that your item is shipped only to find out weeks later not only has it NOT been shipped at all but is now "out of stock" even though they are still offering the same items for sale. Or they offer gift cards or bids worth far less than the stated value of the merchandise you purchased. If you are lucky enough to finally get a response they claim to have checked into your missing merchandise, resolved the issue and assure you once again your item is on its way. Turns out those responses were also fraudulent. These were just generic form letter emails. I have observed posts by other customers that contain the exact same generic emails. Yet more weeks go by with no delivery. Dealdash clearly made and continues to make fraudulent statements and misrepresentations. I discovered the only way to get a response from customer service is to file complaints. (and responses are vague, at best, with no resolution).
Items were purchased, according to the representations and claims made by dealdash prior to purchasing them, with the expectation of it being a legitimate and honest business. The replacement cost of the product that DealDash couldn’t (or wouldn’t) send me after payment Is what I would like. DealDash was given every opportunity and certainly more than adequate time to resolve the issues. Only recently has it been proven that dealdash has simply continued to either completely ignore my emails to customer service or continued to provide me with yet more fraudulent statements regarding the status of my items when they have bothered to respond at all.
Here is an actual email reply from DealDash customer support (I have received this email at least 4 times over the past week):
Hi,
Thank you for your email.
Unfortunately I will not be able to address your issues in a timely manner.
I have been granted time to spend with my family and loved ones.
Please note that your problem will be the first one I will address when I get back.
I will unfortunately be out of the office for this week.
I am very sorry I will be unavailable during this period.
I hope you understand,
Sincerely,
DealDash support team
(Please respond above the line)
Thankfully, I have kept all correspondence, screenshots, printouts, etc. to verify their unlawful actions and fully intend to join the rest of the many, many other unhappy, lied to customers in an attempt to make their fraudulent activity known and to keep others from becoming victims of their continual misrepresentation and fraud.

You can win items that are good deals BUT chances are you will lose just as much as you win if not more
You can win items that are good deals BUT chances are you will lose just as much as you win if not more. I'm a smart bidder, I watch bids, don't put bid buddies on unless it's down to a few but this site has issues. Basically to win anything you will have to watch the item for hours on end. If you book a bid buddy, chances are someone will spam you until it runs out. I've found it extremely curious that as soon as I take a bid buddy off (say because four more people placed bid buddies or the people I'm bidding against have had bid buddies going for the past five dollars) the next person after me wins it. That's happened at least five times. I honestly think that some people (whether it be DealDash team members or ordinary users) work in teams to drive bids up and bid aggressively on people to deter them.
I say, buy the stuff on amazon and save yourself the frustration.
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing these difficulties in our auctions. Our bidding platform has been audited by third parties, and they have verified that there are no bots, shill bidding, or employees participating in the auctions under false pretense. The auctions on our site are 100% legit, and a recent audit report confirming this is available to all of our customers on our website.
While we of course cannot guarantee that all bidders will win auctions with us, we also strive to provide bidders with a risk free experience. Policies such as our 100% satisfaction guarantee allows new customers to try the site out and then get a refund on their initial purchase if they don't like the experience. We also have a Buy it now option that allows bidders to get their bids back if they lose an auction. I cannot find your account with the details you've provided here, but please get in touch with our customer support team with these concerns if you haven't already. They are available around the clock to help customers just like you, and are currently able to respond to all customer queries within 24 hours.

Fraud
Well, where to start. First of all I did the Buy it now feature and after 1 month of it's supposed to be here.. Well what do you know.. It's out of stock even though it's still up for auction. I am so angry with this site. I have been waiting 5 weeks for over a $1000 dollars bought items and 8 won auction items that have NEVER Arrived. Their customer service is the worst I have ever seen. NO REPLY to emails in 4 weeks. No I am forced to file fraud charges against Deal Dash. Paypal is kinda working to get my money back but I have a feeling they are working together. I have documents to PROVE what I am saying. I will not rest till this company pays me my money back. How can I do the buy it now and then 5 weeks later they state out of stock and offer CRAP gift cards for less than I paid for the item ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND> who thinks this is a fair situation? I would be more than happy to tell everyone my story and to be honest I will keep posting till someone pays attention. Next stop will be the Deceptive Trade Commission..
Paypal didn't help me out any. I filed disputes with my bank and charge card company and got all my money back including bid money. I am not happy with paypal at all. I never received my 20 gift cards I paid for.
I would suggest looking up www.dealdashripoff.com, , the are also on facebook..
Haven't received all items won
Haven't received all items won, items on time, or even a response from the Deal Dash support team. Have made a complaint with the BBB. I refuse to spend my money through them any longer. I just want my items I still have out there in deal dash land so I can move on from them.
If you paid thru Paypal you can file a dispute thru paypal. I talked to paypal on the phone today and they are going to look into how many disputes they have against deal dash. I know I have 16 disputes with paypal. I know of others that have disputes thru paypal. Some I know of have 100, 4, 6 disputes on deal dash going on right now with paypal. If you file a dispute with paypal you need to escalate it onto paypal.
I spent nearly $400 and have no product or response from Customer Service
I spent nearly $400 and have no product or response from Customer Service. I placed bids and orders between November 18 and 26, with delivery promised by December 12-18.
My e-mail messages to Customer Service are unanswered and the telephone number has a recording saying to e-mail them.
I relied on positive reviews but now this company is being reviewed badly due to lack of item receipt. Unfortunately, I am not alone.
If you paid thru paypal then you need to file a dispute thru paypal and escalate it onto paypal. Talked with paypal today and they are going to look and see how many deal dash disputes they have. And then look into the company. Disputing it thru paypal you can get your money back. I hope this helps you.
I recommend staying away for now
Getting a reply from customer service is taking between 10-15 days right now. They are WAY over loaded during the holiday season. They have made me exchange multiple items saying they were "out of stock" only to put them up for auction again. The website has glitches and has messed up multiple times during bidding. They have no option to call them for customer service. This is a HUGE deal since it takes so long to get a reply by email. How can a company not have a phone customer support line? I recommend staying away for now. Maybe someday they will get their act together...
There is a phone number for them, but no one will answer it or return a call. If you paid thru paypal you can file a dispute with paypal to get your money back. Talked to paypal today and they are going to look into how many disputes they have against deal dash. Also there is a fb page that is called dealdashdummies and you can post on there what trouble you have had and see post of what other people are going thru with deal dash. Lots of people not receiving their items. I have been waiting on 20 gift cards since the first of Nov. I hope this will help you.
rip off penny auction
Won several auctions..most items to be delivered by Nov 27, 2012...after no response and several items being out of stock, the aggervation is just not worth this. Now I have disputes into pay pal for all purchases...I received a email to informing be my gift card is in the mail, , , What about that? Now, it was to be here Dec 7...go figure...and the email STRESSED that there is no
TRACKING number to find it by...and what is paypal going to say?they cant help me because that cannot do anything about gift cards especially ones that we dont know where they ended up at...because deal dash didnt send it with a tracking number.. oh this is just a all over scam...contacted the BB of New York and filled a IC3 with the FBI...

Unethical Practices
DealDash.com is a Penny auction site that the purchase price for an item increases by a penny for every bid. A consumer has to purchase bids, at which I had purchased mine for $0.17/bid. The bidding is set against a timer counting down from 30 seconds, then to 20 seconds, then finally to 10 seconds until there is no bid given when the timer runs out. On Saturday, 11/4/12, I started bidding on an Acer Iconia Tab 10.1-Inch Tablet (NEW), with a buy it now price of $589. During the bidding process, the timer was on the 20 second timer. The price was at $7.75 and I was the last bidder when the timer hit 0, meaning that I had won the auction at that price. To my amazement, 26 seconds after my last bid (6 seconds after the timer had expired), another bid was allowed continuing the auction. I contacted the company via email (contact us link on the website) on 11/4/12. There was no response from anyone at the company for 10 days.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I just bid at the 1 Seco d but it didn't show up and the bid before mine won it. I wonder if some bids are actually company bids.
Where's my item??
I have contacted Deal Dash customer service multiple times and never get real answers back. I have two outstanding gift cards that I'm waiting to get in the mail. I ask for tracking numbers or real information on my purchases and keep getting the same generic response. I should have received these items over a month ago This company is not what it seems. They are severely understaffed and completely unreliable. Do NOT even try it!

I am so angry with dealdash right now
I am so angry with dealdash right now. Their customer service stinks! I have sent multiple emails only to get the same generic response on all, and to top it off, the response had nothing to do with what I was emailing them about. I have many gift cards that was to be delivered by 12/12/12 at the latest. Do I have them? NO! They are Christmas presents! They had a graphic at the top of the page, which has been removed since I (and I am sure others) complained about it, that said order today and have it by Christmas. I did order and item that I did not win and my expected delivery date is between December 28th - January 20th! Take my advice, and don't waste your time. You may win something but you won't get it.
I'm sorry to hear about the problems you've experienced in getting your items. We ship thousands of products each and every day to our growing ranks of satisfied customers, and people love the great items they win in our auctions!

I am unable to locate your specific account with the details you have provided here, but we have worked diligently and successfully fulfilled almost all recent orders. If you have any remaining questions or concerns, I suggest you get in touch with our customer support personnel. They are available round the clock to assist customers with the issues you have described here, and are currently able to respond to all customer queries within 24 hours.
I have had the same issue! They have now told me that items that I won at the beginning of November are still not here, or out of stock and said they would be replaced by Gift cards, now I received an email saying they will not arrive until after Christmas, really, site is such a scam!
Delivery of Products
I bought several products from Deal Dash at the beginning of November. About half of them finally arrived. The rest were out of stock. All but two have these have been resolved. First, I "bought" a doll house that Deal Dash values at $249. They said they did not have enough to complete their orders (WHAT?!) but that I may opt for a $150 Amazon Gift card in its place. I have now contacted them 7 times about the fact that I expect a $250 gift card in the place of a $249 item, and they never reply. Secondly, I bought an Angry Birds game that has never been delivered. Again, I have contacted them 7 times with no response. They have no way to contact them other than email, to which they never reply. I have no way to resolve this issue.

I have had the same problems. I won 6 items bought 1 item and have recieved 2 of them. Not even the won I bought. They were out of stock on the rest and offered me far less than what I bid on the and even less on the one I paid cash for. I will post against them every chance I get so other people don't fall for their trap.
No problems with the auction itself, HUGE problems with the follow-through after you win
The auctions are just like any other penny auction - you HAVE to watch what you are paying for an item based on both the price of the item AND the cost of your bids. No problems with the auction itself, HUGE problems with the follow-through after you win or "buy it now". I have 3 gift cards I won/bought between Nov 14th and Nov 20th - mostly these are gifts. Dec 6th, I still sit without any of the items. Emailed support on Dec 4th - still no response... HOPEFULLY this will resolve in the next week so I can send my gifts off..
I have no intention of using this website again
Be forewarned...you may not actually get the item you pay for when selecting the 'But It Now' option.
I was bidding on an Apple iPod Touch, 5th gen in blue but did not win. Decided with the number of bids I had invested that I would use the 'Buy It Now' option to get the bids back, save on taxes and shipping. Well, well...to my surprise I received an Apple gift card in the mail (does not state this is an option anywhere on the website) for a NANO and stated the card stated the taxes were covered. Now, I was skeptical on how the taxes would be covered if the value was $399. They were not. I ordered the item I thought I purchased online and paid an extra $35 in taxes. I should have just done this from the get go and would have saved myself the aggravation and rise in blood pressure.
I have no intention of using this website again. An old-fashioned bait & switch tactic.
VISIT www.DealDashRipoff.com Help us mobilize against these Bad Faith practices! Dealdash.com has terrible Customer support protocols, doesnt have items it is selling, over inflates item value and tries to negotiate worse deals when said item is out of stock.
Dealdash.com is a ripoff and a scam IMHO
