Fishpond Fishpond's False Advertising and Unfair Fees: My Disappointing Experience

So, I was looking for a sakura indenti pen and found it on Fishpond. It said it would take 2 months to arrive, but I thought I'd give it a shot. After waiting for so long, I got an email saying that they didn't have the pen in stock. Can you believe it? And to top it off, they charged me a processing fee for something they didn't even have! I was so mad. I asked for a full refund, but they refused. It's like they robbed me of my money. I'm never buying from Fishpond again.

Fishpond Fishpond's Best Price Guarantee Falls Short: A Disappointing Customer Service Experience

I did everything they told me to do to get the best price guarantee when I bought my book. I found it cheaper at another store that everyone knows about, so I gave them all the details and stuff. Fishpond wrote back and said: "We're sorry to say that we don't match prices with items on sale and special stores like Bookdepository.com." Book Depository isn't really a special store and they don't say anything about this in their rules. I explained this to them, but they didn't listen to me and offered me a refund, but that meant I had to pay a restocking fee of 17%. After I argued with them, they said they'd give me back the restocking fee as a one-time thing. I won't be buying from them again.

I was really disappointed with Fishpond's customer service. I followed all their instructions to get the best price guarantee, but they didn't honor it. They said they don't match prices with items on sale and special stores like Bookdepository.com, but Book Depository isn't really a special store and they don't say anything about this in their rules. I tried to explain this to them, but they didn't listen to me and just offered me a refund, but that meant I had to pay a restocking fee of 17%. After I argued with them, they said they'd give me back the restocking fee as a one-time thing, but I still won't be buying from them again.

It's a shame because I really wanted to like Fishpond. They have a great selection of books and their prices are usually pretty good. But their customer service really let me down. I don't think it's fair that they don't honor their best price guarantee for items on sale or from certain stores. And I don't think it's fair that they charge a restocking fee for returns. I understand that they need to cover their costs, but 17% seems like a lot.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend Fishpond. If you're looking for a good deal on a book, you might be better off looking elsewhere. There are plenty of other online bookstores that offer better customer service and better prices.

Fishpond Disappointing Experience with Fishpond: Missing Order, Late Delivery, and No Refund

I had a bit of an experience with Fishpond, and I gotta say, it wasn't the best. I ordered a birthday present for my grandchild, and unfortunately, it never arrived. I was pretty bummed out, especially since my payment went through without any issues.

When I contacted Fishpond about the missing order, they said they would send a second one. But here's the kicker - the arrival date was after my grandchild and their family had already moved! So, I had to cancel the second order.

To try and figure out what happened to the original shipment, I went to the post office. But Fishpond couldn't provide any details about the postal shipment, which made it impossible for the post office to trace it.

What really surprised me was that I thought Fishpond was an Australian company, but their website actually originates from the USA.

To make matters worse, I still haven't received a refund for the amount I paid. I've even made inquiries with my bank, but no luck so far.

Overall, I'm pretty disappointed with my experience with Fishpond. I hope they can improve their customer service and shipping processes in the future.

Fishpond Terrible Experience with Fishpond: Defective Product and Difficult Returns

I gotta say, I had a really bad experience with Fishpond. I ordered something from their website and when it arrived, it was totally messed up. Like, there was a big ol' dent in it and it was clearly defective. But get this - they actually put a note on it saying that it was just a minor damage and that it was totally acceptable to send it to me like that. What the heck?!

So then I tried to return it, but they made it super difficult. They said that if I wanted a refund or exchange, I'd have to take it to the post office myself and it would take like 30 days or more to get my money back. And they didn't even mention when I could expect to get a replacement item if I wanted to exchange it.

Honestly, the whole thing was so confusing and frustrating. I mean, who wants to pay full price for a messed up product and then have to jump through all these hoops just to get their money back or a replacement? It's like they're trying to deceive consumers or something.

And I'm not the only one who feels this way - if you look at the reviews on their website, pretty much everyone is giving them one star and saying how terrible their experience was. So yeah, I would definitely avoid ordering from Fishpond if I were you.

Fishpond Fishpond Review: Terrible Website, Zero Stars

Fishpond is a terrible website. I was very dissatisfied with my experience. I pre-ordered a book in January 2020 for a June/July 2020 release at a price of $166 AUD. However, weeks passed the release date and my order had not shipped. To make matters worse, the item was listed online at a much higher price of 230-300 clams. I received no communication whatsoever from Fishpond. After enquiring about my order, I was told there were "distribution problems" and that they "may not be able to even source it". If that is really true, then why is it still listed as available on their site? I was not born yesterday. They know that the pre-order price was very low and now they are trying to screw over everyone who pre-ordered by pretending that it is unavailable. But actually, many, many other online stores have it available and ready to ship in just three days. This is some real Stalin-style tactics. I see through your little game, Fishpond. I never should have deviated from BookDepository. They are the number one. You will never be as good as them. I give Fishpond zero stars.

Fishpond Fishpond's Unprofessionalism: Wrong Product Sent and No Response from Customer Service

I recently bought the Edens Garden Essential Oil Basic Care Set (10 x 10ml) from Fishpond, but to my dismay, I received the wrong product. Instead of the Basic Care Set, I was sent the Edens Garden Essential Oil Cleaning Set (6 x 10ml). I was quite disappointed and immediately wrote to the customer service department, not once but twice, requesting a return and refund. However, it has been a week now, and I have not received any response from them. To make matters worse, I couldn't find any contact number to reach out to them.

I must say that Fishpond's unprofessionalism in sending the wrong product and their lack of response to my emails has left me quite frustrated. As a customer, I believe that after-sales experience is crucial, and Fishpond has failed miserably in that aspect. Had I purchased from Amazon, I would not have faced such issues. Now, not only am I unable to enjoy the essential oils that I wanted, but I am also hesitant to buy from Fishpond again until this issue is resolved. I feel cheated out of $20, and their ignorance towards my problem is unacceptable. Moreover, I am aware that Fishpond has a return and refund policy for items returned within 30 days, and I hope they respond soon as it has already been more than the mentioned turnaround time of 30 hours!

If the customer service team does not respond to my email soon, I will be lodging a complaint against them. I hope they take this matter seriously and resolve it as soon as possible.

In conclusion, I would like to warn potential customers to think twice before purchasing from Fishpond. Their customer service is terrible, and they do not seem to care about their customers' satisfaction.

Fishpond Fishpond.com.au: Terrible Customer Service and Unethical Practices

So, I was looking for some new dinnerware and stumbled upon fishpond.com.au. I ordered 6 dinner plates, 6 side plates, 4 bowls, and 4 mugs from a range that caught my eye. However, when I returned from my holiday, I found a bunch of emails from them saying that some of my items were unavailable and that they had refunded me. They told me to check back later to see if the items were available again, but when I did, I saw that they had been re-advertised at a higher price! What a rip-off!

I decided to re-order the refunded items, but a week later, I checked to see if my order had been shipped, and it hadn't. So, I searched for the items again, only to find that they were now being advertised at a lower price than what I had paid! I was so angry! When I asked if I could cancel my order, they told me that I would have to pay a 17% re-stocking fee! That's just not right!

I've been trying to talk to their "customer service team" for the past 4 days, but all I get are these generic responses that don't help at all. It's like they don't even care about their customers! I've been asking to speak to a manager, but they keep ignoring me. It's so frustrating!

As someone who runs an online homewares store myself, I would never treat my customers like this. It's just not ethical. I'm so disappointed in fishpond.com.au, and I won't be buying from them again. In fact, I'm going to tell everyone I know about this terrible experience. Don't waste your time or money on this company!

Fishpond Fishpond Review: Disappointing Response and Hidden Fees During Pandemic

Update: So Fishpond finally got back to me and they did handle my issue internally. I'm happy with the outcome, but I have to say, I'm not too thrilled with their response. I mean, we're in the middle of a global pandemic and I ordered those books for my kids while we're stuck at home homeschooling. I needed them ASAP, not a month or more down the line. And to top it off, they never even mentioned the restocking fee on their website and the shipping times were only revealed after I made the purchase. If I had known how long it would take, I wouldn't have bothered ordering in the first place. And if I had known that they would charge me $5 for each item that I cancelled, even for items that were only $7, I would have never cancelled the order. Fishpond's response was completely tone-deaf to the current situation that the world is facing. I mean, they refunded all but one of my restocking fees, but I don't even know why the last one didn't go through. I'm just glad that someone at Fishpond realized the predicament that we're all in and helped me out. But I'm still disappointed with their lack of empathy in their initial response. They really need to have a meeting and figure out what kind of company they want to be, because how they treat their customers during this time will determine whether or not they'll ever get any repeat business.

I'll update this review again based on Fishpond's response, but I have to say, after reading some of the other reviews, I'm not the only one who's had issues with them. So please, be careful when ordering from this website. They charge a $5 restocking fee per item, even if you never received the item. I ordered some books for my kids after their school shut down, so we could stay inside and avoid too much screen time. But there was no way for me to know how long it would take for the books to arrive. And when I finally found out, it was going to take a month! By the time they arrived, our local shop would probably be open and I could have just gone there to get the books. Instead, I'm stuck paying $50 in restocking fees! It's just unbelievable. I feel like I've been taken advantage of. I can't afford to buy more books from a place that won't deliver them in a timely manner without charging me ridiculous fees. Fishpond, please help!

Fishpond Fishpond Review: Terrible Experience with Customs Duty and Refunds

I recently purchased some goods from Fishpond and unfortunately, I had a terrible experience. The goods were delivered to me, but I was hit with an invoice for customs duty and a charge from the postal service which added 50% to the price of the goods. I contacted Fishpond and told them that I was not going to pay the amount and that I would be returning the goods to them via the post office. I contacted them several times and was told that I would get a refund as soon as they received the goods. However, it is now May 20th, 2015, and I still haven't received a refund.

I contacted the post office, and they informed me that the goods were returned to Fishpond on April 18th, 2015, a month ago. I have emailed Fishpond customer services to see where we are at, but I have received no reply. They still have my money, and I am extremely frustrated.

I finally received a reply today that they are going to refund me my money. It's strange that they replied after I left a review! I will update when they do refund me.

I also had another issue with Fishpond. I haven't received my order yet, and my card details have changed since the purchase. I updated my card details straight away, but it says on the site that my refund has been paid back, but as yet, they haven't. The card number ends in 2012. I sent them the details, but once again, no reply. That's why they don't have a number to phone. I still haven't received a refund.

Finally, I received a reply via email, but this time they refunded to a card that no longer exists. I was pretty open in my emails that this card no longer exists as it was compromised. The reply I got is that their system was created in such a way that the credit card details can't be changed/updated after the order was marked as shipped. What is the point of having a facility to update your details that don't really update your details? I still haven't received a refund, and they paid it into an account that is in dispute despite repeated emails telling them where it should go to!

It's been two days, and I still haven't received a reply. I feel that customer service means nothing to them. It's frustrating, and I hope they can rectify this issue soon.

Fishpond Overdue Payment from Fishpond.com.au - Unresolved for 60 Days

: My Payment is Overdue

I've been waiting for my payment from Fishpond.com.au for over 60 days now. I've sent numerous messages regarding my PayPal transfer for the product that was shipped a month and a half ago, but I still haven't received my money. I even sent copies of my bills multiple times, but to no avail.

I've submitted several inquiries, with reference number {DCPK5SU}, and was told that the copy of my utility bill was received. However, I still haven't received my payment. This is frustrating because the customer has already received the products, but I'm still out of my money.

I confirmed that all items are compatible with both United States and Australian rules and regulations. I shipped the products with USPS and followed all shipping laws and regulations. This is the product link: https://fishpond.com.au/products_used.php?manage=1&seller=Perfectio.

I really need this case to be resolved so I can get my money. It's not fair that I'm still waiting for payment while the customer has already received the products. I've attached the copy of my bill again, which I've done 10 times already.

Fishpond Disappointed with Fishpond: Slow Shipping and Wrong Product Sent

I was so excited to get my order from Fishpond, but I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed. It took over two weeks for my package to arrive, which is way too long in my opinion. And when it finally did arrive, I was bummed to see that they sent me the wrong thing! I ordered a specific brand name, but they sent me something else entirely. Not cool, Fishpond. Not cool.

But I will say, the website itself is pretty easy to navigate. And they have a decent selection of products. So if they can get their act together with the shipping and make sure they're sending the right stuff, I might consider ordering from them again. But for now, I'm pretty hesitant.

Overall, I'd say Fishpond is just okay. They've got some good stuff, but their shipping and attention to detail could use some work.

Fishpond Disappointing Experience with Fishpond: Order Not Delivered, Money Taken

I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed with Fishpond. They took my money and I haven't seen hide nor hair of my order. I'm thinking about reporting them to the ACCC, because this is just not on. I mean, what kind of business takes your money and then disappears? It's just not right. I'm really hoping that they'll come through and deliver my order soon, but at this point, I'm not holding my breath. I just wish they were more upfront about their shipping times and whatnot. It's frustrating to be left in the dark like this.

Fishpond Fishpond Review: No Customer Service, No Tracking Info, and My Book Never Arrived - Avoid at All Costs!

Yo, listen up peeps! I gotta tell you about my experience with Fishpond. So, I ordered a book from them, right? And guess what? It never showed up! Can you believe that? So, I tried to contact them, but there was no email or phone number to be found. Like, what kind of company doesn't have customer service? It's crazy, man.

Anyway, I was getting pretty frustrated, so I had to take matters into my own hands. I filed a claim with my credit card company, and they sorted it out for me. But seriously, I wouldn't recommend using Fishpond if you want to avoid all this hassle. It's just not worth it, you know?

Oh, and another thing - there was no tracking info for my order. Like, how am I supposed to know where my book is if there's no way to track it? It's just not good enough, Fishpond. You need to step up your game if you want to compete with the big boys.

So, to sum up - avoid Fishpond like the plague. They have no customer service, no tracking info, and my book never arrived. It's just not worth the risk, my friends.

Fishpond Disappointing Customer Service Experience with Fishpond: Wrong Item Sent and No Response to Email

So, I ordered something from Fishpond, but they sent me the wrong thing. I was pretty bummed out about it, but I figured I'd just call customer service and see what they could do. The person on the phone told me I had to send the item back myself (which was a bummer because it cost me money), and then they would "see" what they could do. I wasn't really sure what that meant, but I went ahead and shipped it back anyway.

After a few days, I still hadn't heard anything from Fishpond, so I decided to send them an email asking for a mailing label. I figured that would make things easier for me, and I wouldn't have to spend any more money. But, unfortunately, they never replied to my email. I was pretty frustrated at this point, and I wasn't sure what to do.

Luckily, I was able to get my money back through Visa. They were really helpful and understanding, and they were able to credit my account pretty quickly. I was really relieved when I saw that money back in my account.

Overall, I'm not super impressed with Fishpond. I understand that mistakes happen, but I feel like they could have done more to help me out. It was frustrating to have to pay for shipping myself, and it was even more frustrating when they didn't respond to my email. I'm glad I was able to get my money back, but I don't think I'll be ordering from Fishpond again anytime soon.

Fishpond Fishpond's Poor Delivery and Customer Service for CD Purchase

So, I bought a CD from Fishpond on May 30th, and it said it was in stock. I got an email on June 8th saying it was sent, but it's almost the end of June now and I still haven't gotten it. Like, seriously? It's just a CD, it shouldn't take this long. I tried to contact them, but no one's gotten back to me, not even with a tracking number. This is ridiculous. I'm thinking about going to the ACCC because this is just a joke.

Fishpond Bad Experience with Fishpond: Received Wrong Item and No Buyer Protection

Fishpond is a website that I recently had a bad experience with. I ordered 5 new RDX fighting pants, but unfortunately, I received junk instead. The worst part is that the pants I received were not even RDX pants! I was very disappointed with my purchase and felt like I had been scammed.

To make matters worse, PayPal did not protect me as a buyer. I was responsible for shipping the wrong item back to Fishpond, and I had to pay a lot of money to ship it overseas. My invoice ID was [protected], and the amount I paid was $269.45.

I know that Fishpond's customer service team will come up with some answer, but I have proof of my invoice and PayPal transaction. I don't recommend this site at all, and I feel like I donated my money to them.

Overall, I would advise anyone to be cautious when shopping on Fishpond. They may not send you the right item, and you could end up paying a lot of money for nothing. It's a shame because I was really looking forward to receiving my RDX pants, but instead, I got junk.
