direct tv
12/18 started with direct tv since that date the tv freezes up sometime the comes back goes to a different channel that what it was on when it frozen 5 tech. have here since that time and none of them have fixed the problem. 9/18/19 it froze completely and as of right now is still frozen 9/19 9:32 pm
I will not pay a 100.00 to have a tech come out because they have never solved the problem before I have photos of this mess

charges attached to monthly bill
In Aug 2019 received statement with charges for nfl pkg that we hadn't ordered stated they automatically renew this pkg I cancelled 8/7/2019 and was still billed for nfl pkg I contacted customer service again 8/19/19 and was told I would receive a credit but just got email for this billing period and am still being charged for nfl pkg ! What does a person have to do to get this issue resolved? If it's blood you want bleeding me won't work as I have a heart condition and would be of little value. [protected]@gmail.com
returned equipment
I was a customer with directv for over 15 years. I cancelled due to the cost. I have found other options that are way cheaper and I get exactly the same if not more amount of channels. I returned my equipment immediately, when I received the box from directv. The gal at the UPS stated I should keep my tracking number because directv will say they "did not receive the equipment" and charge me for it.
Well, today I received a bill for $219.43 for unreturned equipment! I called directv and I was transferred 4 times, disconnected 2 times, and then finally I was able to discuss this with a representative who was far from friendly and accommodating. BOOM! My tracking number proved you received my equipment (and I shouldn't have to verify anything!)...even though you continue to say you didn't. Carry on Directv...I'm glad I'm not apart of your company anymore.

I was a Directv customer for many YEARS. Always made on time payments. Never a problem.
I built an outdoor entertainment. One of the reasons was to have my friends over to watch football games. Big Saints fans here.
I ordered an additional mini box from Direct TV so I could add a TV to the outdoor area to watch the games.
Shortly after, not sure about the exact date, Directv failed to come to an agreement with the local channel in Jackson, Ms. that carried the games. Channel 40 I think. So that channel and the games were not available to view.
I made numerous calls to Directv to find out the status and always got the same answer. We are in negotiations and should be back on soon. This went on for MONTHS.
I asked if they could get me New Orleans or Baton Rouge local channels that carried the games until negotiations were completed. NO
Can you give me access to NFL package until negotiations were completed? IF YOU PAY FOT IT. I was already paying for access to Saints game.
What can you do to get me my games? NOTHING YOU HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL WE FINISH NEGOTIATIONS.
Well after half the season was over I had enough of their BS. I cancelled Directv and got DISH. Had the Game that weekend and ever since. I understand that they finally made a deal with them much later.
I expected to get a letter of apology from Directv for their disruption of my service but instead I got a bill for $391 because they automatically extended my contract for 2 years for getting the addition box. I refuse to pay this bill.
This was 2 years ago. They have hounding me since then. Been contacted by collection agencies and finally all of this has affected my credit. I had an excellent credit rating around 800 consistently. This has dropped my score to 675. OVER $391
Sounds like the credit bureaus side with big companies that just try to push people around.
I will NOT pay the Directv crooks. And hope this will help to get this people put in their place.
Directv's actions are disreputable. I expect them to rectify this situation.
customer service
My process was a 2-hour phone call continuous phone call. My issue is still unresolved. My original phone call started with Martina whom I spoke with for almost an hour who was not able to resolve my issue I asked to speak with the manager Mr. Jalen refused to take the call. Martina gave me the phone number 877-999-1083 phone number. Kara answered that number. My complaint was the extra fees on my bill .s I only had service for 26 days I was charged almost $400. Kara was working on getting some of those fees taken off my bill for installation fee, which I was told I will not have an installation fee when I originally signed up. Cara then transfer the call to Robert in collections. He then transfer the call to customer service. Gina answer the call and stated there were no notes taken on all the prior customer service reps I spoke with. So I had to start from the beginning and fill Gina in on everything that I had concerns about with my bill. Gina was still unable to resolve my problem. I asked to speak with her manager. She said the managers were too busy and could not speak with me. I said I would wait on hold since I've already waited two hours. She got back on the phone and said they're still very busy. I asked what the manager's name was. She told me she is not able to give me that information. My issue is still unresolved. I plan to file a compliant with the better business buruae for fraud.
triple pkg
When canceling your contract after taking out 1 day earlier and paying $19.95 for membership and taking out of my checking within 30 seconds of giving my debt card number to the agent, They now tell me it will be 30 days before I get a refund. I was order was for the triple and they only gave me the dual plan missing the main reason I was changing carriers.

In early August, we were promised a new customer rate of $55 per month. Today, September 4th we just received our 1st bill that is at $200. We have the Direct Tv offer in writing as well as a vmail from a Direct Tv representative from 8/1/19 promising the lower rate of $55 per month + $14 for our receivers and tax. Our bill was to be no more than $80 per month.
What a bait-and-switch!
I have spent 2.5 hours on the phone with Direct Tv on 9/4 to get our bill fixed to what we were promised and have been sent in endless loops and bounced around from 5 different representatives. No one can seem to fix or correct DirectTv's mistake. I'm put on endless holds and asked the same questions over and over to different representatives.
This is beyond frustrating and not how long term customers should be treated. This should be a 5 minute fix -- not something that takes over 3 hours (and still not resolved).

PS I have attached the 3rd phone call I have made today in an effort to get this resolved. The first call was 30 minutes long, the 2nd call was 45 minutes and this 3rd call I am still on the phone trying to get resolved.

Have been without service for over two months now and decided to cancel my service only to find out that they will not reimburse me for the lost of service but are going to bill me for another month. Have contacted them multiple times too correct. There is no customer service. Offered me $25 for a loss of about $300. What a Joke. All of this started on June 25th and service finally cancelled 9-1 after being on the phone for over an hour. Transfer from one person that couldn't help to another.

Twice on 3 days, service failed to show up for scheduled service, lost 2 day's pay and Cubs game. But am cancelling ALL att services due to this. Hope company goes belly up and fire everyone.too stand up customer twice in 3 days is not customer service. Customer service is not important to direct TV anymore. Even retention does not understand the point.

I signed up for the bundle service. Was promised a gift card for changing. The company did everything they could not to pay. Took over 6 months countless hours of phone calls, countless guarantees that it was resolved, countless lies, requests for documentation that they already have, it was a nightmare. Finally was given a partial gift card after 6 months or so.
I was guaranteed that the service would be fine if there was rain or snow...a lie. Service regularly disappeared when there is a storm of any kind.
Was told that my internet speed would be fine. Not at all. Never worked properly.
The mobile app almost never worked.
When I canceled, I was told that ATT would charge me for another month of internet service since they charge ahead a month, but that they would prorate the Phone adn Cable. Then they didn't. I called back and asked for an adjusted bill. They said that they have a new policy that they do not prorate...even though multiple representatives told me that they will do that for me.
They are effectively stealing money from me. I canceled the service, turned in the equipment, and yet they are charging me for another month.
This is criminal and I warn anyone considering Directv to avoid working with them at all costs.

I called to temporary disconnect my service, due to going out of town on business. When I returned, I found this never happened. My service continued, accumulated a bill, then became suspended for non payment, then eventually closed. For me to get my service back, I have to send my equipment back, then schedule to have a person come and install new equipment. This was your error, not mine. I will end my business with AT&T along with DirecTV.

The Service Tech arrived at my home at approximately 8:50am and informed me he was there for a new installation not a service call, he had the order cancelled.
I no longer want this 5th box, please let me know what to do to return the box.

loss of local channel due to negotiations
I have been unable to receive CBS for over 2 months. Unfortunately, for me, that channel has my favorite shows on it. Supposedly, AT&T is working to get CBS back for Directv users, but so far to no avail. I can get all the shopping, religious, spanish and some porn stations that I want (which I DO NOT!), but not the channel that has my favorite shows. AT&T users now have CBS, but not Directv users. If they can't negotiate a settlement soon, I will have to cancel my contract with Directv and go with cable. I think if enough subscribers get tired of the poor service and cancel their contracts, maybe the higher ups will decide to do something about it. Don't tell me that their customers are so important to them. I don't believe it!

On August 27 I called to cancel my service I was told by the agent my service would be disconnected on Sept 15 at the end on my billing cycle. I said I want my service disconnected now and why should I pay for a service until September 15 which I would not be using. No satisfaction I asked to speak to supervisor ( Leah ID # LM112Y ) which told me the same thing. I will disputes my last bill and any other I receive. How can a company charge you beyond the date you call to cancel. I was tired of my signal dropping everytime it rained. Stay away from Direct Tv

Direct TV channel CBS has been in a contract renewal negotiations all summer. I'm sure there everyone who has Direct and are being charged for a national station CBS AND WE HAVE A TWO year contract that we are paying each. We feel that we are keeping up our side of the contract and DIRECT TV IS NOT BY GETTING CBS BACK THIS STATION ! They have broke all of their promises especially with the new seasons are almost here .
CBS is the most watched station we think we should be able to break our CONTRACTS and go with some others suck as MEDICOME, DISH and other that carry CBS. THANK YOU

Have lost basic ch 6 NBC.
I get ch 212 Fox sports channel except when the Dallas Cowboys play. The recording
I made to record on ch 212 ( Cowboys)kicks off and automatically switches to recording ch 6 NBC(Cowboys) but that basic channel is "currently unavailable" . What the heck are you people doing?
Plus...we live 30 miles from Tyler and 60 miles from Shreveport. We are forced to take S-port local channels. "Our" weather is barely an afterthought. We need Tyler weather so we will know what is headed our way.
Direct TV we pay you, well I might add, so we can see the channels we want including local channels 14, 26 and 48 which I have been without for at least 6 months. Your response is to get an antenna and my response is why do I have to pay more for something I'm already paying for. Just for your info I'm in the 96097 area code which means I have no Fox channel because you and others are greedy. I do not want to leave Direct TV but it's coming if you can't correct this.

High call volumes have customer service bounce you between the two technical support groups. 1 hour 11 minutes and 32 seconds later. The channels start rebroadcasting and no one, No One from technical support did anything.
There is no customer service with this company. the people you talk too, can't tell you anything and can't even give you a manager to talk to. Totally worthless.

Billing dispute
On 6-18-2018 a salesman for att/directv came to my door selling bundles for directv and I signed a 2yr contract for pkg. 3 at $111.00 a month for 2 years and I ask the rep. if my price would stay the same and he assured me it would! But exactly 12 months later(7-18-2019) they took $195 out of my account and almost caused me to overdraw my account. I immediately called and was told my promotion had expired and when I argued that I was promised the same price for 2 years and was pretty much told too bad. I finally(after a hour) was connected to someone who promised a $65 discount for the remaining 12 months of my contract(another lie)but my very next bill was $195 again. And this time when I called I was told that they could see on their computer where I was offered the $65 discount but it was never processed so i still owed them $195 and I am not paying It because att/directv broke the contract, not me and they took away several channels.
