What an amazing company and a pleasure to work with
What an amazing company and a pleasure to work with. I was moving to *** and contacted Divvy to rent a hour with an option to buy it. Within two days my application was approved for the rent of the house in a place I wanted. We did the entire process together like I was buying the house. They allowed me to participate during the home inspections, so I was aware of any issues. The communication with Divvy has been absolutely fantstico since day one. We had an issue with the A/C and the entire unit was replaced by a brand new A/C for the entire house. I sincerely recommend this company for future buyers like me. Dealing with Divvy was the most amazing and rewarding experience of my life. All by the book, and within a little longer than a year, I was able to buy the house at the price that Divvy promised in the contract although the house value has increased substantially. I bought the house and use all the equity $9866 dollars that I had with Divvy, and they helped and guided me to make sure I will have a very smooth buying process as they promised they will do. All the team at Divvy are very courteous and polite with a great level of professionalism. All questions I had during this process were answered within minutes. The communication. With Harsh *** and the entire team at closing was fantastic. I have nothing negative to say about Divvyhomes, but to recommend this unique an amazing company to any future buyers.

Divvy was an awesome option for my husband and I to be in a home that we love and in a great area
Divvy was an awesome option for my husband and I to be in a home that we love and in a great area. With that being said the bad is we are still waiting for repairs to be done to our home from when we moved in in March last year, we have had multiple contractors in our home to look at some thing and nothing ever gets resolved or fixed. In the past two weeks I have been trying to reach out to someone to pay our rent to and I cannot get anyone to respond to me via phone text or email. For the amount of money that we put down on our home and now because of the windows either being broken or not functional, are gas and electric bills are astronomical. Still cannot get a response from anyone on the maintenance team as to what they are doing with all of our open work orders and still cannot get anyone to contact me about how to give them our rent money. In the beginning we were very impressed with how quickly Divvy was moving us through the process to become homeowners. So impressed that I have a really good friend thats a real estate agent that has sold many homes with Divvy. Contact and getting things done is just not their specialty. I have taken it upon myself yet again to find a window company to come out and they spent about two hours in our home. I have sent the estimate to the maintenance department and have just advised them that this is the best option. But I guess we will see! Hopefully another year does not go by and we still need to deal with the things that need to be addressed.
Would give 0 stars but not an option. My phone number has been BLOCKED by Divvy. I can never get through via phone. I need an offer to be sent and waiting 3 days nowfear the property will be sold by the time Divvy responds.Realtor line said no one is available this week to take calls? Can not get a hold of anyone in this company. That 5 star is incorrect! Read all the 1 stars!
Divvy has been so unorganized since day one with me. We were about to close on our house in July 2022 and I paid All the amounts due from first month rent to downpayment. The night before closing I have emails to prove, somehow divvy made a mistake needed an extra $500 to close. After putting in pto for work a truck rented to move, they said I needed it paid or they wouldnt close. I had to literally max out my credit cards to do so. I was so disappointed, money I didnt have . Than repairs to my house have been so bad contractors who come in smelling of alcohol! My bathroom is leaking down into my other bathroom, black mold showing through, no contractor until October! And they didnt test the mold! Than September came to pay rent looked at my portal zero. Okay! I called to verify emailed. They said no youre good! $5340 was credit to my acct. they were off last week and this week they came to me though email saying they were going to waive my august rent and I needed to pay September. I paid august! I have no idea what they are even talking about. This company has literally cause my family and I so much stress. I suffer from PTSD already. I dont need this. This company I thought was here to help people like myself to buy a home Im paying double I paid in rent! For this stress?!? And ruining my credit I was desperately trying to make right. I am so discouraged. I highly dont recommend dont go through divvy. Im sorry I did.
The intial process with the purchasing team and my own realtor was smooth. That is the one star. Move in repairs are still incomplete 4 plus months after moving in. I am no longer getting replies to my emails, maintenance requests are unresolved and I am seemingly BLOCKED from Divvy's numbers. I have called and emailed no resolution in sight. I have no contact person to reach out to.
Agents they assign are ? and manipulative. No communication until 9 or 10PM! Im approved and submitted and offer. Agent said i have to wail til november because seller doesnt wanna pay capital gains. Thats not my issue you're here to work on my behalf. I then get "well they accepted someone else" ok. Cool so i requested my $500 back. Next day she calls to tell me nonono don't do that the other buyer backed out. Well now im in limbo cause she never called or texted back but the house says pending on zillow and i have not gotten anything from divvy either. The lack of communication is soooo frustrating.
I was trying to purchase a home in DFW but with the limited time I have to work with and with the market being such a Seller's market and people
I was trying to purchase a home in DFW but with the limited time I have to work with and with the market being such a Seller's market and people willing to more than 30 plus thousands over the asking price. I realize now is not the best time for us to purchase. But if I tell you for the state of Texas Divvy is *** on the spot. I've had the pleasure of working with *** who responded to me after hours he followed up with all my questions. I pulled out for now only because I got tired of being out bid and didn'twant to go to ridiculously over the asking price. I received my ernest money back within 2days but was told it would take up to 10days. If your ready to purchase a home and not dealing with a time line like myself Divvy is truly a great option. Also if you don't have the money to go the traditional route Divvy is an Excellent source. I like the equity-savings you will be getting over time. I've read some not great reviews but for me Divvy is Awesome. I'll be back on the hunt next year hopefully the Market will be much better! Oh Yea another thing I liked if I text on the weekends I got a response on the weekend. I didn't have to wonder about a question I may have throughout the whole weekend. The people at Divvy responded quickly again through the week day after hours as well as business hours and also on the weekends. Thank you Divvy for being an option for home ownership! Look in to them it want hurt. If your credit score is a 550 or more and you don't have all the money down call Divvy !

I purchased a home through Divvy which I was approved for. i paid my down payment which was $4200 dollars. I was ready to go forward with the first month rent on the 5th of September. The closing date for the property was on the 12th of September. Divvy tried to do some negotiating with seller which the seller did not go along with. So now the contract on the home has been terminated. I have called Divvy several times a day for 5 days now. They want return my call or emails at all. The next step for me now is to get my money back. I would not recommend noone to do business with this company.
After taking payment for past due rent, they stole the check then lied and said they didn't receive it. Their lawyers is holding the check trying to seek eviction for us. This is seriously a company to never get mixed up with. If you need a home GO ***!
If I could rate lower i would... They told me I was approved and ready to look at houses to then turn around 2 weeks later and tell me they couldn't help me because of my background check. When I asked what was on my background check that was stopping me the lady told me she couldn't tell me! Their customer service is horrible.
I loved working with the divvy program. They did everything they promised they would. The provided maintenance in a timely manner. They bought the house I chose and everything went smoothly. I bought back my house in 8 months, no problem. I had a great experience.
We have been in our Divvy home for 6 months now
We have been in our Divvy home for 6 months now. I will say the actual buying process was ok and went somewhat smoothly. After we have moved in and they've collected our rent for the last 6 months not so much! First off they do a home inspection and create a list of items that are supposed to be completed within 3 weeks of you moving in. After 5 months none of the move in repairs had been completed in our home. We had to reach out to Divvy which took another several weeks to get a response when they say they will respond in 24 hours. Finally they scheduled one of their subcontractors out to do the work. We had a very long list of items that were supposed to be taken care of. The "company" sent seemed to be hourly workers you could find on the side of the road. They did not show for their first scheduled time, we rescheduled for another day- they were 3 hours late and we were given no notice! They were cursing loudly throughout our home (we have 2 children). Tore up our yard with their vehicle. The most important thing it seemed like more than half the items on the list they didn't even attempt to complete yet marked the work as completed. I have reach out to Divvy multiple times over the last nearly 2 months and they have yet to remedy the situation. Since the initial "repairs" we also have put in requests for 2 light fixtures that stopped working completely. They have yet to address these repairs. For *** a month I expect our maintenance repairs to be handled quickly and efficiently by reputable companies- something they cant seem to provide.

Unfortunately, this is not starting off on the right foot! Several necessities in this house don't work. And when I put a request in, they're always denied. Half of this house's electrical outlets do not work. I am really confused about how this house passed inspection. This house is unlivable; my husband and I have been experiencing nothing but issues since we've moved in, and Divvy has done absolutely nothing. Your contractors, who were supposed to come within three weeks, continue to keep rescheduling. We should not be responsible for electrical outlets not having power within the house!
We have no hot water, no A/C, and only one functional toilet, which is in the kitchen. Half of the outlets do not work in the house. Your company is not fulfilling your side of the contract agreement. If we are expected to pay rent on time, we should be able to have repairs and the necessities to continue to live in this house. Your listing of unreliable contractors who cannot fulfill repairs or have communication is unacceptable. I would also like to escalate this matter because your support has also been unreliable when it comes to helping us out.
Initially, we were pleased with Divvy in the actual purchasing process. But once Divvy got our down payment, all that changed. Divvy makes promises that are not kept, in regards to reimbursement s and repairs and does repairs on their time schedule with no regard for the impact on the families in the home and consistently is difficult to reach when a problem arises. I have waited 25 to 40 minutes on hold on average when calling customer service only to be shuffled to voice-mail and never get a return call. This company is customer no servce in spades. Emails and phone calls are routinely ignored and it is virtually impossible to communicate with this company.. Buying my home with this company was a big mistake and I urge anyone considering using them to reconsider that choice.
I think this company downfall is poor communication skills I've messaged and emailed several times during my 3 weeks living in the home and they only answer 1/10 messages or they just picking and choosing what to respond to.
I put in application and than the application was never submitted. I am trying to figure out how they are running people's information if the application hasn't been submitted. They stated I wasn't approved due accounts in collection but then again I am approved for a FHA loan. I am glad I didn't get involved with these scammers. They better not ran me and my husband credit without our permission or application being submitted. These people are trash. I will be filing with FTC if they did.
My husband filed an application
My husband filed an application. They were prompt to respond with an approval. When it came to title paperwork and closing they were HORRIBLE.My agent had to make several phone calls to Divvy on multiple occasions went as far as the seller agent making multiple calls as well! I paid $500 as "***" payment before they would make an offer. Then had to make $4,995 down payment once the negotiation was agreed on. They were SO FAST to take our money. Once closing date was set they requested first month payment $2275 and they requested "proof" from my bank that it was cleared. Sent that too! They had to ask for two extensions on closing date because they did not have their items together and for this they waited up until the VERY last MINUTE! After several phone calls from myself, my agent AND sellers agent. This was so nerve wrecking! Because if they did not make this extension I would lose out on all the money i had paid thus far! Extension was granted to Friday 4/29/22... now here we are today signing was set for 11am... it is now 1:42 pm - DIVVY has yet to submit any wire transfer paperwork to the title company in order for keys to be released. My agent AGAIN has made several calls, several emails. Sellers agent has made several calls. NO REPLY. They Reply PROMPTLY when it has to do with you getting money to them. I am currently on hold seventh in queue and 20 minutes in... and they'll probably say what they've BEEN saying "i will place a ticket and have a reply in about an hour..." Mind you the title company closes at 3pm today and is not open on weekends. What a stressful experience!

Not sure how a company that deals with real state make it impossible for any of their agents to be reached
Not sure how a company that deals with real state make it impossible for any of their agents to be reached. Real State is a time sensitive business, but this company will act like you (the buyer) has all the time in the world for them to figure out their side of things. Very unprofessional way of doing business. In my case, Divvy had everything ready according to them and we submitted an offer. Only to find out that the same day our offer was accepted Divvy decided to re-word our employment numbers to then tell us that the numbers they had originally approved no longer worked as our income was not the same. This was unfounded, as me and my wife have the same jobs for well over 2 years and our income situation has not changed.. it has actually gotten better. after spending a full day attempting to talk to someone at Divvy to have our numbers re-worked, we received a call at 8:00 PM in which they claimed they would look at things again and get back to us. The offer that was originally accepted was then lost as the sellers became tired of waiting on us and we never got an answer from Divvy. Before we signed the contract and gave the $500 dollar deposit, the communication with Divvy was constant and persistent... after they got our $500 dollars, we almost have to call the White *** to speak to someone. I will make sure that everyone i know stays away from this company. no regards to people's time and effort, not to mention they destroy dreams of home ownership without any care but for the profit they'll be makin. This company is not in the business of helping people, but helping their pockets. STAY AWAY!

I am so disappointed & actually disgusted with the way I was processed with this company
I am so disappointed & actually disgusted with the way I was processed with this company. I make over $96000/yr & was told that I don't have enough income. The tragedy of the matter is the break down of communication. It's less than transparent for a company who claims to want to help more ppl buy a home. I couldn't even get a straight honest answer about my application, why & how to go about getting it approved. The ppl on the phones do not explain anything bc it sounds as if they either don't understand what is coming from the under-writers or that they are plainly not given an explanation for the reasons. This was my last & only hope to get into a home. I am now going to end up homeless in a hotel with my 2 dogs. Clearly Divvy homes is not honest about helping more ppl buy homes. I was an easy case & was denied with no clear logical explanation. The explanation did not match up to my circumstance. In that case yr not helping those u claim to be in business to help. That's misleading, deceitful, and down right criminal. I will be writing reviews to share my disappointing experience with the public. Without transparency there's only reason to belief deceit & fraudulent business is being conducted. It's quite astonishing to say the least. So thanks for the run around to build my hopes only to be let down and left homeless. Ye not helping anyone by conducting yrselves in that manner. Especially in such a sensitive time of grief, trauma, & healing this country has experienced It doesn't show any kind of humanitarian effort as yr mantra tries to claim. Shame on u Divvy for being deceitful & misleading to an America suffering in crisis.

I am so upset with this company!
I am so upset with this company! My heart is broken! My wife and I mothers of a nine year old daughter who has special needs we have struggled thru alot of things in life but Divvy takes the cake! This was supposed to be our first home I worked very hard to get my credit where it needed to get a home with Divvy once I accomplished it I moved in last January started having problems they fixed things at first then everything went to heck! I started having problems with rodents this year to the point of them over running my home woke up to a rat in the bed with my daughter sent them pictures of the situation of them running on the stove leaving droppings everywhere. They agreed to come and fix it after informing them of the problem. Once the Lady arrived from *** she had the movers put all our stuff in a pod locks changed and us in a hotel for *** well we are not a home renovation service we have decided that its best to cut our loses with you and the property going to put it on the market for an investor to buy I asked what am I supposed to do I have a child due in January and I asked them what do I do they said to me well we are going to wave your rent and cut our losses we will give you the rest of the original time we had on the pod but after that your own your own. They moved our stuff in the pod changed the locks told us it was because the pest control didnt want anyone in the house while treating it but I still have appliances in the home and they put the lights back into their name I dont know what to do Im so hurt I worked so hard to get that home. Divvy Homes should be ashamed of themselves they go home to their families where Do My daughter pregnant wife and I go home to?

If I could I would give no stars!
If I could I would give no stars! Please Beware ! I went through the process to get into a home but it became a nightmare during the closing process. Divvy breached the contract I requested for a final walkthrough of the property before closing and it never happen. The realtor that works under Divvy brokerage set up a final walkthrough a day before the closing and on that day of the final walkthrough Divvy real estate agent called me to tell me that Divvy went behind her back and closed on the property without telling her and I could go look at the property. I was blown away and was very upset looking at the condition of the property the seller never completed the required repair and there were new issues with the home ( electric and plumbing ) and there was trash and debris inside and outside and the carpet smelled like dog urine the home if definitely wasn't in the same condition as I have first seen the home. I was never given the chance to have Divvy address the seller to fix it or to change my mind about the property and pulling out of the closing of the home. Divvy did not own up to the obligation in the contract making sure there was a final walkthrough. So now Divvy realtor is pointing the finger at Divvy closing team and I have called Divvy customer support and all I get is a ticket was put in for a call back within an hour and hung up on by customer care agent. I've sent an email to the Divvy support team and operation team and a guy name Phill who threatened me with legal action from Divvy legal team because I asked for my money back and stated I don't want to do business with Divvy home because it's a scam to take your money and not follow through with the contract agreement. I'm looking for my money to be returned back $10,785.

WHAT A NIGHTMARE!
WHAT A NIGHTMARE! If you are reading this and considering using Divvy... for your own good please RECONSIDER! I know your desperate to get into a new house. I know this because I was. I read the bad reviews but still had hope because I was extremely desperate. What I didn't understand is this company is preying off of the hopes and dreams of first time home buyers. If you think this company cares about helping you get a home, your wrong. This company cares about making money. That's it. They are going to make money off of you paying extremely high rent, and then they are going to make even more money if you end up being able to actually buy the house. That's a big if because they don't save enough $ each month for your deposit. If you don't buy the house from them within a year not only does your rent go up but your buyback price goes up. However when your rent goes up do they save more for your down payment each month? Nope. That extra money your now paying each month just goes in their pocket. They don't want you to buy the house because they can turn around and sell it for even more money. Again, this company exist to make money, NOT to help you get into a home. So here's the bottom line, your going to pay an exorbitant amount for rent each month, yet they fight you tooth and nail if you need any maintenance done and they will make even more money off of you if you try to buy the house from them. My offer for my home was $315,000 but I had to pay $332,000 and had to pay $3155 for rent. As a first time home buyer you will be better off just saving the money on your own. I barely managed to get my house out from under Divvy's greedy thumb and if I could do it all over again I would NEVER use Divvy. I wasted thousands of dollars. Their phone system is absolute garbage, their customer service is trash and their ethics is non existent. Divvy you should be ashamed of yourself for treating people this way.
Very dissatisfied with this company!
Very dissatisfied with this company! It's very funny that this company will make sure they get funds from you, but take their time sending you over all the necessary documents needed for closing. How are we given a closing date, without a lease agreement! Who does that?! This company is very unorganized. After being told that we will definitely close on the date provided and sent an email a day or two before the closing date that we were going to close, the closing department never sent over a lease agreement. Not to mention that they never sent a lease agreement, but ended up dropping the ball and misplacing my occupant proposal as well when I signed that a week or two ago. To make matters worse, unless I complained about it they weren't going to tell me that the reason I didn't receive a lease agreement was because they didn't have my signed occupant proposal. They were going to just wait til the day of closing and realize that they didn't have all our paperwork in order and tell us after making ALL scheduled arrangements plus taking off work, that they couldn't complete closing and therefore, couldn't give us the keys to the home. My spouse and I have taken off of work to accommodate this move, made several arrangements for utilities and other services to be switched over to the home, have had to turn a couple of servicers away due to not having the keys to the home, plus my spouse has to go without internet because of the lack of availability and go several days without working because she works from home. This is such an inconvenience. We finally get a lease agreement on the day of closing and are told we cannot access the home until 3 days later. Meanwhile, where are we suppose to go for 3 days. You're told by the closing department that you're going to be sent over documents, and they take all day to send over anything. You call in to request to speak to someone from the closing department and they never come to the phone.
I was very excited in joining this new company Divvy to get my first time home application processed
I was very excited in joining this new company Divvy to get my first time home application processed.but was not able to upload every single file as being a self-employed or freelancer person so CS stated please send the whole file if doesnt go through email & send it as a zip drive process. for 2 weeks always got an email back saying we need more verification of income did that for over month n half back-and-forth back-and-forth until I asked to speak to a manager due to customer service just talking to you like a robot and couldnt give you the accurate answers which was very disheartening for customers that are first time users & really wanted to get the comfortability in understanding divvy and moving forward but that did not happen all CS kept retracing too is your denied your denied your denied but did not explain the in depth information so the customer can understand whats the next steps to do. customer service *** could not answer so I asked to speak to a manager *** had called back conversation was answered questions were answered which made me feel much more comfortable when I had more questions Manager *** said please call back any time I called back I left a message with customer service I never got a callback or an email for five days I called customer service back Anastasia *** states yes he says hes never spoke to you which was very disheartening because the call was recorded information was written down so at that moment I thought is this a joke do they not want to help new customers for 20 minutes on the phone with CS as she was trying to understand what was going on she left a email for Acct exe ***, started to call the other CS agent *** that left the message for *** she came back on the phone and said you mustve to talk to somebody else and stated 2 names that i never heard. This is when i decided to take my business elsewhere. Applicants should feel at ease from CS all the way to receiving there keys. Thank you

When I start working with Divvy Homes they understood my situation
When I start working with Divvy Homes they understood my situation. Rent at the first of the month is not good for me. I had rental assistance and From there they have been sending me notifications of default when I'm not even 30 days behind. I don't mind paying their late fee and they don't mind giving it to me. I don't know where *** is because she was the best part of whatever they had going on. When you go on a portal it looks like I owe. Ny rent was already paid, it still on the portal. There are new people in the office that don't care about nothing other than telling you what is policy but for a year my roof is still not fixed. I still have a hole in my door and my sink in my bathroom repeatedly comes off. The house is old and outdated. Divvy wants you to work with them but they are not willing to work with you and that makes me don't want to buy my home. Any mortgage company that you go to you can change the day of your payment. If I am not 30 days behind I don't think I should be talked to, leave me alone. It's hard enough with these ridiculous prices that you guys are trying to kick people out, So you can get away with taking people funds that they Put inside the home other than rent. They fix nothing, the foundation of my home is no good. I've been telling Divvy about problems in my house since I 1st moved in here moved in here and all of them still not fixed. Every winter the boiler heater go out and they have to call somebody in. I think before Divvy start being upset with people that is not 30 days behind on rent maybe they should get their maintenance team in order because we have to be patient with with you guys. You should be patient with us as well. I feel like they took a lot of my time, money and when things it's not the way that they want it to be they threaten eviction. I never worked with a landlord like this and to be honest they're not even supposed to be a landlord. They're supposed to be Acting like a mortgage company.

I've been dealing with challenges to purchase a home
I've been dealing with challenges to purchase a home. We have to postpone at the moment and when I've reached out to this man to ask for an update on my refund he's ignoring me. He has actually ignored me since he knew I was not interested in the program right now and I agreed to postpone but he sent the text with the refund link. In the form for the refund it says someone will contact me in 2 days and refunds can take a while. 2 days later and 13 days later now there is no refund. I've texted him again and nothing. I'm sure this message will take weeks to get a response to but I am just building my civil suit case so a paper trail attempting to resolve this is necessary. I wish you guys actually cared. Every house I liked I was told Divvy wouldn't buy but the home I wasn't liking is the one Divvy was really interested in as if it's expected the process would fail and Divvy would be taking the house back, not that I have the right to choose the home I LIKE. They bid on a house that had a leaseback clause on it and did not tell me about it until I had already submitted the $500 fee to place the bid on the house. My family is now living in an Airbnb because we were told that all we needed to do was pick a home and place the bid and make a down payment and when I told them I was looking to lease a place when we started shopping for homes they encouraged me not to because we can get you in a place in 3 weeks LIES. We have spent more than the deposit on the house on Airbnb fees. When I explained that they asked if family could help and I hate that. At this point I just want my money back and to forget I even tried this. The reviews online are exactly what I've been saying this whole time. This program is set up for failure. When I don't have the right to bid on the home I want and I'm steered towards the home Divvy is really interested in..come on. Please tell me when and how I can get my $500 back. My family is living in

The application process for me was smooth up until receiving my down payment and first month rent
The application process for me was smooth up until receiving my down payment and first month rent. Once that was taken out of my account their true colors was shown. I moved in on the 1st of April never received an inspection report from them only that one was done, no walk through with my agent like stated I would have. Things that was agreed upon with agent and maintenance team was not done. I still have a wasp nest on my front porch which they agreed to have removed prior to closing. The laundry room door was locked and damaged which they agreed to fix prior to closing which it was not. There are two dumpsters in my backyard from previous tenants which they agreed to have removed prior to closing which was not. I had to call one company to have one removed which took over a week. The other one seems has if the company doesnt exist or something cause I cant find a legit number for them so the big dumpster is still in the backyard stinking causing cats to roam back there. There a holes in the walls where the door k*** hits the wall repeatedly maintenance has to have done it because it wasnt there when I went to initially look at the home. The garbage disposal doesnt work which causes the kitchen sink to fill up with water and takes a very long time to go down. Now that is causing nets to fly around from food being down in the disposal but it doesnt work. There is still trash around the yard against the fence was told that would be cleared You would have thought purchasing an actually divvy owned home would make things easier as far as having repairs addressed and completed prior to letting a customer lease if. I definitely feel played and used because I have sent numerous of emails and text messages with no response and have the nerve to send a survey but cant respond to questions and or concerns. I would NEVER recommend ANYONE to go through this process because you are not going to have a good once money is obtained and you have signed on the dotting line.

Denied rental assistance
Not sure why Divvy denied the rental Assistance and no one is responding to me, to give me a substantial reason as of to why, when I’ve been in constant contact with the attorney in regards to th eviction process why no one informed me they would not accept the rental assistance when the payment and operations team were both notified of the rental program...
Read full review of Divvy HomesScam - do not waste your money
June 2022 my husband and I got into a Divvy home. First off someone from our church, referred us to this company and made it sound like it was a great idea. After so many mishaps, we finally found a home that we could agree on. After moving in, we realize there were more fees attached to the home than we expected. We no longer talk to the person from church who made divvy homes seem like the greatest program on earth. I’m telling you now. Do not waste your time, energy, and money into this company. You are better off finding yourself a real realtor or a private owner to do rent to own from. All these new reviews that are giving 3, 4 and five stars have to be fake. Their customer service sucks. When you are waiting in line to talk to the next representative they hang up on you. They only contact you when, it comes to money. I have caught them in lies many times where I’ve had had to show screenshots of things they said they do but on the phone said they don’t do. The property we had started to break down not even three months into us living there. Do not spend your money on this company. You are better off, making a deal with a homeowner your self to do rent to own. The money you have to come up with anyway to even get into a home you can take that money go to the bank and put a down payment on a home yourself. Or if you have credit issues and think this is a better way to go again take all the money it’s going to take to move into a divvy home and fix your credit then go apply at the bank, but do not waste your time and money and energy with this company. I’m warning you.

Move-In Date October 2021
My wife and I worked hard to save up $10,000 to put down to potentially purchase a home. There has been lack of communication, a series of delayed responses and also a few none responses. On June 24, 2022 we received an email stating that any customer who is current on their rent and has taken care of their home, is eligible to terminate their lease agreement. My wife and I decided to terminate due to her prolonged illness. In October 2022 my wife continuously reached out in regards to starting the move out process. Not only were we given the incorrect information about getting refunded but we were told that we would get about $6000 back before we confirmed that we wanted to move out. Once we started the move out process the amount changed. Now here it is May 2023, we have called continuously since February 2023 which was our move out date. We have also emailed with no response. We have put nearly $40,000 into purchasing the home and was informed by the company that we were allowed to terminate our lease with nothing to show for what we have spent. No one has attempted to resolve the issue or explain why we haven’t received anything, not even an apology for the “Bad Faith” business that the company has provided. The company needs to get on one accord, we have received information that was simply FALSE. The financial damage that has been done is unacceptable and this company is terrible. Potential Customers, Do Not Waste Your Money. This Company Preys on People and Will Lie to Get and Keep Your Money.
Desired outcome: Refund
We are in the same situation sadly, they violated their own refund contract terms (30-45 days), we are at 60+ days fighting to get our $12k due to us and it's just false hopes every time.

Improper eviction
We've been renting for Divvy a little over 2 years now. Divvy filed an eviction on me in December 2022. I paid all monies due with fees and I answered the eviction I paid every penny due on the eviction letter, the clerk at Dekalb County court said because they accepted the money the eviction would be vacated. I paid exactly what was on the eviction paper. Divvy attorneys then went and received some type of default judgement Divvy decided to pay some HOA fines that I wasn't aware of. I spoke with the HOA and Divvy months ago and Divvy nor their attorneys never replied to the email I sent about any amount of HOA fines due. So I assumed everything was fine being they kept accepting rent. Fines were 35.00 a day for parking a car in front of my home Feb 2022 until April 2022 that car was driven everyday my garage is used for an office I work from home. My driveway only fits 2 cars. However I sold the vehicle the car was gone and fines still accrued until October 2022 However the car was gone Apr 2022. I spoke with Divvy and I told them I would deal with the HOA myself which I did. HOA agreed to suspend any fines after we spoke. However Divvy sent these people (HOA) a check that they were unaware of and now Divvy is coming after us for this money and have said they would file a writ if we dont pay the HOA fees NOT RENT but HOA fees. They gave me ten days to come up with over 12000 dollars to pay rent and these frivolous HOA fines. I have no problem paying Aprils rent. However the HOA fines are something that needs to be investigated before I'm forced to pay fees I do not owe and being threatened to be put out of our home. We already pay an astronomical amount of money per month way over the rent price only to have Divvy try to have us lose everything about a misunderstanding. None of the customer service agents are helping or the are beyond rude.
Desired outcome: I would at lease like a thorough investigation to be done about these HOA fines so that we can see where these monies went, and also to investigate that this other vehicle wasn't mines.
My husband and I were in the same situation. We had the money for the rent, but then when it double the amount that was owed. We chose to just buy time from court, because we knew we weren’t gonna be able to afford every single dime Divvy wanted. Plus when we moved into our home, they were extra fees we were not aware of.

https://bit.ly/DivvyRefund This is the link that we were sent to request a refund from Divvy, we submitted this information 2 weeks ago and have yet to receive a response. When you click the link it says you will receive a response within 2 business days. This is not true. $4210 is the amount of money that we would refunded. We were attempting to rent to own a house through Divvy. The house needed some repairs that Divvy gave the impression the seller would be willing to pay for, the seller refused and made questionable comments about the foundation. Divvy's response was to minimize the repairs that needed to be done and to raise the rate of the monthly rent to cover the repairs they were willing to complete. These repairs were to be done at an unspecified date and time in the future. This was all found out after sending $500 *** money, $2300 deposit, and $1410 for the first month rent. At this point, we decided to cancel the contract with Divvy. Since this has occurred none of the contacts we had at Divvy have been returning repeated calls that we have made to them. We have not had any updates or acknowledgement from Divvy about the funds they have received from us. Attached are the bank statement pages showing the dates of the amounts that Divvy has received.

My house is falling apart and filled with black mold. Ive been trying for 4 months to have them fix it and finally came out and ripped up some flooring to see nothing but water leaks and black mold. Divvy said the house was inspected totally not true. They want me to pay rent on a house thats making my family very sick. My 84 year old that has COPD cant live here safely and since Im holding back rent they want to evict us but my family and pets are going to have to move someplace safe. Thats not even all the problems. The electric doesnt work and they have come out three times to have nothing done. 0 stars if I could do negative I would. An yes we have the photo to prove all this. You will see black mold
2-1-22 moved into Divvy home. On 2-18-22 sent Emergency Maintenance request severe water leak (garage ceiling bubbled) After a bit of run around from them, I called out a company, they detected moisture in the walls of the garage, master bedroom, and upstairs bathroom. They allowed that company to put in fans for the weekend. They originally were just going to send a plumber out. They didn't like the bid from the company I called out, they wanted too send their preferred vendor ( company I called out already marked areas of moisture along with where leak was located) which 2 of them never responded, finally a company came out, tore down garage ceiling, wall that leads to master bedroom. Divvy then contacted their plumber who took 3 days to come out, didn't listen to were the leak was, stated it was fixed, which it wasn't, they had to call him back out took another 3 days for him to come out. Once leak was supposedly fixed, restoration company came back out. The firewall, beams in garage were mold infested. I then showed them where the other company marked the wall in master bedroom(other side of firewall). They did not at that time open the wall, I called Divvy told them that there is mold I am sure behind the wall in master bedroom that is attached too garage wall. Company came back out, never sealed off any of the bedroom from the rest of the living area, green plates, beams etc completely black with mold. They removed drywall without closing off that room, not opening any windows etc. We lived in our living room unable to use our upstairs, or master bedroom till 4-28-22. I continued to tell them that my health along with my dogs is being affected. Then on 9-4 submitted another maintenance request regarding a leak upstairs window seal, base board warped etc. First maintenance Thursday was denied reguest clearly states water intrusion. Submitted another they called their preferred vendor a handyman who didn't respond for days, I explained there was mold
In the inspection report it stated that patio deck was unsafe. DIVVY negotiated with open door to get price knocked down for things that was found in inspection report, *** knocked off. They set 3 different people out here from Blue Chip that all stated the patio was unsafe. DIVVY refuse to have them fix the problem, the only thing they allowed them to fix was the hand rails. I'm afraid for anyone to be on the patio because as they stated to me you can fall in if wood breaks because there is nothing in the center to hold up. Some planks don't even have nails in them. I spoke with DIVVY we are working to get it fixed nothing but the hand rails. AC unit that stated had leak one guy came out changed the filter that was it. Another guy came out please Freon in it. House still hot, I have asthma and was having attacks my doctor asked what changed I stated I moved he stated for me to get airducts cleaned I did. That's when I found out only 1 return was in the house that's why it stays hot, also stated it will be very cold in here during the weather, but DIVVY continued to tell me nothing was wrong. They take my money out on time monthly but don't want to fix what needs to be corrected. All I can say is if someone falls through the patio there will be a big problem.

On 08/26/2022 I was informed by Divvy, for the very first time, that my rent payments were late, dating back to July. This was despite the fact that I had provided information/consent for the funds to be directly withdrawn from my account.Although the lease requires AT LEAST 15 days written notice of default before eviction proceedings can be initiated, I was informed that eviction proceedings would be initiated on September 1 if payment was not received by that date.I tried texting customer service, with basically no response. *** tried to locate a number to call someone to speak with about this issue, but the only number I can find is a generic number and there is nobody there who can take my calls.I suddenly have five days before Im going to have EVICTION PROCEEDINGS filed against me, and this is literally the first time Ive even been informed there was a problem. Since I was under the impression that the funds were being taken from my account along the way, I havent been carefully watching my account balance. Im going to need to move some money around to cover the payments that, for whatever reason, were not withdrawn for July or August. If Divvy had contacted me after the due date this wouldnt even have been an issue. Now Im terrified about the possibility of being evicted and losing my down payment for my purchase option. I want to work with you to fix this, Divvy! Please contact me right away!

I was leasing a home through Divvy. After experiencing relentless problems with the plumbing at the leased property and suffering through what seemed like endless hours of plumbers repairing the same exact problem almost weekly, I decided to end my lease. I followed all proper procedures at move-out, but have yet to receive the refund for the interest paid, amounting to $400 for 12 months. What's terrifyingly worse is the responses I'm getting from Divvy. My records of email exchanges and phone calls show that I have been hearing a variety of excuses: it takes a certain number of days after move out to process, it'll be another 10 days, you should have a check by the end of the week, we're processing you now, we're waiting on something, the person who handles move-outs is out of town. The person who handles that should be calling you before the end of the week... that was 90 days ago. I am required to use those funds for housing costs but it seems Divvy is acting like they will do whatever they want, whenever they want.
Divvy signed a contract to purchase my home and then canceled the purchase the day of closing and now will not respond to my realtor to release the contract
Submitted $6000 in *** down payments for a house that ultimately didn't pass their inspection. I submitted a refund request five days ago and was told I'd hear back from them within 2 business days. I have sent multiple emails over the past week with no response and no phone call back. I am demanding this money back as it is preventing me from closing on an FHA loan.
I emailed Divvy customer support on 1/26/22 with just a general question as a prospective client
I emailed Divvy customer support on 1/26/22 with just a general question as a prospective client. 24 hours went by. No one wrote me back. So I started to fill out an application. And there was a huge glitch on your website documented on vimeo (https://vimeo.com/670935875 password: divvy). So I wrote to support but knew they werent going to answer swiftly (or ever) since they still hadn't answered my first email. So I decided to reach out to Divvy on *** to let them know about the huge bug. They reached out to the support team for me, who wrote me back very quickly. But I shouldn't have to reach out to social just to get you guys to respond. You guys still haven't responded to my initial Jan 26th email and it's now Jan 28. So I went to check on my application today and your website says "Application needs additional information. Complete the tasks below to submit your application." But it says that because I accidentally started to fill out a second salaried job and realized I didnt want that. But your website gives me no options to delete it! So I have to reach out to support again and hope that they write me back. Also, the way that your website collects income data for freelancers like myself who have multiple employers leaves a lot to be desired. Can you please revisit how your website is built and give more power to users like me to delete/amend stuff on my own without having to wait for support to save me?

We purchased a house through Divvy and closed in March 2022. We were given a credit of $10k by the seller to have the septic tank replaced. Divvy said they would have the repair done. Its now August. Ive been calling weekly with no returned calls. I cant reach anyone in the office or the maintenance line. The last time I reached out, I continued to be cycled back in to the queue going from 1, to 9, to 16 in line on hold for over an hour. I feel I am being avoided. After threatening to call an attorney via voicemail, I received an email with a work order regarding my complaint, where the Divvy maintenance supervisor sent to the plumber assess if septic tank needs replaced. Why would that be a question when we were given the credit to have it replaced already at closing? And why cant I get a call back. Im paying market rent, plus a savings plan, plus $20k on top of the original selling price for this crappy treatment? Weve had maintenance issues since we moved in and all of the problems are either not resolved or solved on their time. We risk biohazard waste leaking in to our yard until the tank is replaced and we have small children. I am expecting a call or I will find an attorney.

Aug 2021 started rending from Divvy Rental Homes
Aug 2021 started rending from Divvy Rental Homes. Upon moving and noticing more repairs needed to be done as soon as possible per the initial inspection report that Divvy provided. There was another inspection report done and paid by us which is attached to this complaint. *** who is supposed to be an operations manager for Divvy responded via phone and email that all the complaints that we have had since we have moved were going to be addressed and 3 out of those times, the maintenance crew they sent lied about finishing the jobs because they were giving specific instructions not to do particular jobs after agreeing to them for example (fixing the main fuse box because there are holes where critters and vermin can get in our dwelling and that has happened several times, including *** recluses, lizards, waterbugs, wasps, flies due to dry rotting around the back door, ants that have been coming through the ventilation system that we had to wait 6 months for them to come and fix and still has not been fixed thoroughly. We have sinking spots in the main bedroom from severe water damage that code enforcement allowed them to cover up after it was agreed that the floors had to be redone because 3 types of mold were found. The floors in the master bath are sinking around the toilet and my 4-year-old had cut his foot as well as my autistic son. Divvy ignored our request and said it was cosmetic, causing trip hazards and hurting people.

Divvy Homes is the landlord of tenants who are my neighbors. The tenants have several code violations which occur repeatedly. Divvy refuses to make available a living resposible person to resolve the issue. Rather, they only accept emails which are ignored.

On 4/19/22, my girlfriend and I made a $500 deposit with Divvy Homes to initiate the house bidding process. Despite Divvy's initial responsiveness and our multiple offers above asking price, we were consistently outbid due to Divvy's seller requirements and the competitive market. Opting for a different approach, we requested a refund via email around 5/4/22, each of us submitting a separate form. We were instructed to wait a specified number of business days for the return of our funds. After a 10-day wait without receiving our money, I attempted to contact Divvy by phone but was unable to reach a responsive number. On 5/19/22, we contacted the same department, provided proof of our completed forms, and received no reply. I called Divvy's general number multiple times over five days, trying to reach the payments team responsible for refunds. Each transfer attempt led to a voicemail that went unanswered. I requested alternative solutions from the operator, but was told there was nothing they could do. As of 6/11/22, I have yet to receive my $500 and am extremely frustrated with the company's lack of accountability.

Most landlords and HOAs care more about whether you pay the rent on time and take good care of the property than they do about your sexual orientation. Unfortunately, some landlords are nosy or flat-out prejudiced. For example, my HOA ask pointed questions when moving into my unit "Are you two, like, together?", this in turn resulted in false reports to my landlord. My landlord sent me a eviction notice upon discovering that my relationship with my roommate was not platonic and made claims of illicit activity. Even though I had been in the process of receiving rental assistance Divvy Homes refused to accept the check for rental assistance. Additionally, they did not follow due process during the eviction process even though I had answered the court summons. Its my belief that Divvy Homes made no attempt to keep me in my property based on discrimination from my HOA and in an attempt to profit in the increased equity of the home as it was a rental home I was due to purchase in November this year. Additionally Divvy Homes did not fulfill there lease terms as signed as they did not pay the monthly *** as described in the lease agreement. I was denied an opportunity to close on my home based on my identification and sexual orientation. My guest were constantly harassed had the police called and treated unfairly on a consistent basis. This institution is prohibited from discriminating on the basis of race, color, national origin, disability, age, *** and in some cases religion or political beliefs.

We moved into a home on March 24
We moved into a home on March 24. During the home inspection process that we were not allowed to be a part of due to Covid, the inspector listed a few things wrong with the property but not all the issues with the property. We have windows that have no locks, no handles, broken panes of glass and windows that are literally falling off the house because the frames are completely rotted. Due to our contract stating that the repairs would be addressed within the first three weeks of us moving in I feel that Divvy has already broken our contract and I am seeking a resolution as to if we leave this house I would like the $7500 we put down so we can locate a safe property to live in with our child.I have been working with the maintenance manager who also came to our house and walked around with me and I showed him all of the complications that we were having with these windows. He saw that some of them do not open easily and also saw the safety concerns. I have been trying to get this handled for the last 11 months and there has been no resolution as to what happens with the windows that are in the original move-in inspection, Id like to know why those are not being fixed. They are only wanting to pay for the windows on the top floor but no other windows are approved to be replaced at this time. This is a major safety concern because if there were a fire and my son could not get out of a window I dont believe that Divvy would want a wrongful death lawsuit attached to their brand. This needs to be addressed ASAP. I have informed Divvy as of today that we are no longer paying rent because they have not held up their end of this contract so neither are we. If I need to obtain legal counsel I have no issue doing so. I would like to not go that route but if we need to I am prepared.

I was renting a home when the owner decided to sell
I was renting a home when the owner decided to sell. I went into the market for a home but my credit was not that great. I reached out to Divvy since it was recommended by a realtor. Their communication was poor from the very beginning except for my assigned realtor. She has had to call so many times on my behalf. I was approved for a certain budget based off of my credit at the time but it wasnt enough so I worked on my credit and was approved for much more later. When house shopping, I kept seeing my projected savings was 10%. When I reached out to *** at Divvy we told me it was supposed to be 5% and to disregard what was shown online. I found a home and put in an offer. By this time I was technically homeless with two children and my mother, living in an Airbnb. Divvy assured me that they could close in two weeks, which they did. I paid my down payment but when it came time to sign the lease my savings was still being shown as 10%. When I reached out to *** again he put me on hold to check into it and told me that the 10% would apply because my credit score was not over 600. I was at 592 at the time. Had I k***n this I would not have went thru with making an offer until my payments were higher. The difference is the amount I am paying would be $290/month vs $780/per month with my rent! I had no choice but to move forward because I already paid my down payment and I needed a place to live but I deeply feel as though I was mislead and I am completely dissatisfied with Divvy. I have called and been placed on hold them no answer. I have emailed and after 3 or 4 days, I get an email back telling me to call. Cannot get a live person to help me for anything. I have even reached out to my Divvy realtor which is *** MIA *** thats shes gotten paid from the deal. I would never recommend them at all.

We moved into out home on June 2nd and it has been nothing but a nightmare since that day
We moved into out home on June 2nd and it has been nothing but a nightmare since that day. On the day of move-in the ac was not working and Divvy said they would replace it upon their home inspection. This was replaced on June 10 with Divvy Notified June 2rd. That's fine we get it supply chain issues and stuff like that. After that we put in other wo's as the home was still not cooling down. They sent the same vendor out and he had to recharge the system since it was under charged and said "if its still not cooling put in another work order and we will come back out and take a look at the ducting and insulation" So after that recharge the kitchen, laundry room, dining room and the living room all would get cool but the two back bedrooms and the bathroom would not.We put in another work order and let them know that the back bedrooms are not getting cool. The vendor came back out and said 1) the insulation is low and needs additional insulation and 2) the ducting to the back bedrooms needs to separate ducting as it is being split between the two rooms. We messaged the vendor and they said they put in a bid for ducting and insulation and divvy let us know that the vendor is saying everything is working fine and that there is no mention of ducting or insulation nor a bid.At this point myself and my husband have been dealing with hot rooms while working to the point we both have gotten nausea from how hot it is. All we are asking is divvy make this right and replace the ducting since that is part of the mechanical and put in the insulation in the attic since that assists the mechanical in keeping the home cool.At this point when we are expecting a 500 to 600 dollar electric *** since they system is running constantly to keep the home cool.We aren't asking for money we are just asking for a habitable home

1) In June 2022 , I was approved of a home loan through this Brokerage 2) I have placed several requests using their realtor - provided by them - to acquire homes within my alloted "budget" .3)I have submitted offers for over seven homes with this company during the home shopping process .4) Divvy requires themselves to come up with the offer numbers .5) Suddenly, Divvy began offering way lower than the sales price on all of the homes that I have desired and have spent time researching and going on showings . 6) Divvy promises a competitive offer and has failed to deliver competitive offers on the homes of my selection. 7) For example , a home I was highly interested in at $170K, Divvy offered $140K . This led to me not being selected by the seller . This process then repeated .8) Another home was $200K , Divvy offered $197K causing me to lose the bid due to failure on their end to meet the asking price nor offer any seller competitive contingencies though the realtor asked (I have screenshots ).9) Another example . I found another home of interest , for $200K , Divvy is offering only $185K almost guaranteeing the outcome .10) Another example : a home selling for $197K , Divvy offered $120K.11) Another instance ,Divvy took too long to send the offer to our realtor and I had to contact the head of the Brokerage - *** to get them to offer the seller something in a different instance !12) The list of Divvy eligible homes on their website shows to be outdated and homes not available through the program .13) Divvy suddenly changed my percentage from 2% to 10% "savings". You will have to review the program to see how this works .14) On a home selling way lower than the alloted budget, I was asked to make more stipulations such as more down and submit to another credit check though this is against protocol to get into the home I have already qualified for !I am asking that Divvy do their part in offering a competitive offer - as advertised!

I will simply submit what was left in review, as we have an email trail with Divvy
I will simply submit what was left in review, as we have an email trail with Divvy. We are a family renting to own a Divvy home that started in August. We were pushed into this option due to time sensitivity because our prior landlords didnt renew our lease. Since we moved here we have had a PLETHORA of events from the start where as Divvys own Home Inspector pointed out obvious things and they only barely fixed a few in contrast to the base issues making it a rental and livable property. After we moved in (because thats when you are really able to see all thats happening) we had and still have a billion things from waves of spiders, *** bees burroeing in the structure, ants in our home and we are STILL fighting etc... no railing on front steps and my husbandand son are disabled, exposed electrical box, sinking floor and exposed boards in our bathroom they lie and say is *** that we are diligently recording and fighting until the circumstances change. And it will.Divvy does not care... they lie, send incompetent workers to half fix jobs, doesnt follow up, and has unprofessional customer service. We contacted Code Enforcement just for them to renig and we found out its because we are in a Racist city where the supervisor of code Enforcement is a convicted felon of child molestation and sexual battery but allowed to keep her job where she continues to further make sure children are hurt. Oh yeah, its in the news and online- no slandering here. We are currently living in racist *** where they dont care- but they will. Divvy has shown discrimination and has caused us a financial burden because we are spending what we dobt have to keep invasive bugs out etc. Divvy doesn't care to balance the fees and my husband is on a fixed income in a time where cost of living has gone up but Social Security hasn't increased and thieving government officials continue to think us the "civilians" will be robbed and treated unfairly.

Our names are omitted for privacy; we became Divvy home residents in June .
To whom it may concern: Our names are omitted for privacy; we became Divvy home residents in June . Since then, we've documented numerous issues. We vacated the property in April 2022. Here's a summary of the issues encountered since the home purchase. No pre-move-in inspection occurred, contrary to what we were told. Post-move-out inspection also didn't happen. Had inspections been done, they would've noted the worn carpet, window defects, and wall damage resembling bullet holes. Despite promises of repairs within three weeks, no one addressed the issues. Persistent follow-ups were ignored until we contacted a helpful individual and his team, who finally arranged for the necessary repairs. This, however, led to additional problems. We also faced issues with the automatic rent withdrawal system. It falsely indicated payments were made from our account. Initially blamed on our bank, it turned out to be a Divvy error, which was eventually rectified. This error forced us to manually pay rent with a credit card, incurring extra fees. Only in the final month did the automatic payment function correctly, but even then, the rent wasn't prorated as it should have been.

First let me start by saying the program is nothing but FALSE information
First let me start by saying the program is nothing but FALSE information. Their motto is that they dont buy as is homes LIE! They say they take credit for repairs and send out maintenance person who doesnt know anything! They gave me an inspection list on Buyer and Seller repair After I agreed they Closed on the home w/o including myself in negotiations nor got to me what was negotiated on! Divvy accepted credit for repairs then Told me I had to repair items that where originally the Seller repairs. Divvy also states that HVAC has to be no more that so many years but doesnt tell you its acceptable if it works no matter if in inspection it clearly states end of life needs repair! You can never reach no one! They takes 3-4 days to reply to emails. You have over 6 people or more emailing different thing but when you have concerns you are directed some where else! This program is *** and sent my blood pressure to almost being hospitalized. It was the worst experience ever. so I never moved in the house asked for a refund which I didnt care about any penalty or whatever clauses I just never wanted to associate with this business again after emails, calls 1 Mo later get a emails saying send address name and bank information for a refund. Replied to the email with in hours of their request. I get a email right back saying they are out of the office for over a week. Their email refund in *** days. Funny part the email they sent it on 8/24. The return email after I sent information back on 8/24 said I will be out of the office from 8/24 until 9/5. I tell you this *** is Horrible. They are only refund *** back remind *** gave 1180+500+1300+700. And never move into the home. Never negotiated anything, Never spoke to anyone at Divvy. Only person I spoke to was the realtor that once everything went sour told me she does not work directly with Divvy and had no way to contact them when all this was going BAD! She even sent emails and Cc me no reply! Bad

On March 27th, 2022, I contacted Divvy Homes regarding an unreturned $500 deposit.
On March 27th, 2022, I contacted Divvy Homes via email because I had not received the refund of my $500 "Good Faith" deposit after being approved for a home purchase. I provided a screenshot of the relevant announcement and requested the refund to the original account. A month has passed without a response, despite evidence of the $500 withdrawal from my bank account on 4/22. After failing to secure a house within the approved financial range, I expected the refund, which never came. With the onset of Covid, I postponed follow-up, but now I am insisting on the return of my funds. I have moved since then, yet my banking details remain unchanged. I am no longer interested in their services and demand the immediate return of my deposit, as my previous email last month was acknowledged. I've included documentation from my bank regarding the withdrawal and my correspondence with Divvy Homes.

I started the process of getting a home from Divvy in June 2022, and I finally found a home that I could afford so after meeting with Divvy
I started the process of getting a home from Divvy in June 2022, and I finally found a home that I could afford so after meeting with Divvy realtor and the builder the house wouldn't be completed until the 1st week of August that's when I'll be able to close on it. Divvy Homes required me to put down a two thousand dollars *** money fee to I was in fact serious about purchasing the house and so that the builder knows I will be purchasing, on July 1st I called a Divvy Homes representative and discussed my concerns if I couldn't afford the home based on the numbers that was given at the time, or if anything happens will I be able to get my *** money refunded she told me yes, so the following days I paid my *** money to Divvy Homes the closing funds needed was to come out of my TSP or 401K based on a hardship loan I charged the two thousand dollars on my credit card and proceeded with the process of getting a hardship loan. After speaking to a representative with my TSP she informed me that leasing a home doesn't fall under hardship only documents showing that I'm purchasing the home now would qualify me, so I emailed Divvy Homes and the realtor about my conversation, in the email I explained the $5,635.00 needed for closing I couldn't obtain it, that's when the 1st email from Divvy customer support told me all but $500.00 would be refunded the 500 was for the inspection done on the house, I returned a email explained that no inspection was done on the house and I should expect all of my refund, a follow-up email was sent back to me explaining that a investigation will be needed to make sure no inspection was done, serial day's later a response was sent to me saying they have verified no inspection was done and when the realtor working on the loan will send a email to the builder terminating the purchase, I get a texts on July 20th stating there's a chance Divvy will not refunded my money, the home is not complete and the builder can still sell the home

About Divvy Homes
Divvy's lease-to-own scheme allows aspiring homeowners to steer clear of high-interest rates or the large sum of money required for a down payment, enabling them to increase their likelihood of qualifying for a traditional mortgage in the future. This is a game-changer for those in the market to find their dream home, but perhaps, may not currently have the financial stability or credit score necessary for approval from a traditional mortgage lender.
The process for purchasing a home through Divvy Homes is straightforward and hassle-free. Potential buyers choose a property that fits their needs and desires from the platform's online listings. Divvy Homes then purchases the property on behalf of the buyer and enters into a lease agreement with them. The lease agreement is flexible and typically runs for three years, and buyers can purchase their home outright during the lease term.
The platform also provides a hassle-free and straightforward experience for those looking to sell their homes. Divvy purchases homes directly from homeowners, offering them a market-value offer within days without the need for open houses or showings. This makes the sale process smooth and highly convenient.
Overall, Divvy Homes is an excellent platform for those looking for a more flexible and affordable way of owning a home. With an easy-to-use platform, reasonable lease terms, and a team of professionals to assist throughout the process, there's no reason not to consider this alternative method of homeownership. It's a win-win solution for both the buyer and the seller, and it's changing the real estate industry for the better.

Divvy was AWSOME! They helped us in ways no other company would. They leveled the playing field! They made a way for us to buy our home & helped with repairs & any challenges along the way, I'd refer this company to anyone who needs time to get themselves in position to purchase because they are & do exactly what they're set up to do & be... *** especially for the underdog! Go Divvy!
There's no communication with Divvy home at all whatsoever. This company sets you up to fail. You have too many people handling cases and nobody knows what's going on or they give you false information. The day of closing they ask for $3,500 more for to pay the first month's rent I pay the first month's rent and now they're saying I owe for response rent.
Great experience! Everything ran smoothly and we purchased the house after only 13 months. I would highly recommend Divvy to anyone!
Terrible program! They advertise that they are willing to help you only to deny you!
