UPDATE: I'm disappointed in the construction quality and concerned about underlying issues that I cannot see. My neighbor had a pool installed around the same time as I did. She paid about the same price, but her builder was way faster and she has had no issues.

If I could get a "do-over", I'd pick a different builder.

I did not like the waterfall I paid for; it looks nothing like what I was showed. After fighting with Dolphin and posting reviews about my experience and the ugly picture, they agreed to update it.

The pool was installed about a month ago. I haven't even had the chance to swim in it yet and already I have more problems...CRACKS throughout the decking and in the waterfall. I emailed them today; hopefully they will fix these issues without the fight I had to put up before. 😩

They don't talk good and don't answer questions. The guys they hire to do the work are messy and gross. They peed on our house twice and Dolphin Pool didn't do nothing about it. We even sent them videos and they still didn't do nothing. There was trash all over the place during the whole thing. If I could give them a bad rating, I would.

Dolphin Pool Construction Co Inc did a great job on our pool and backyard. We had some problems with scheduling because of the concrete shortage in our area, but it all worked out in the end. The communication could have been better, but our salesman *** was really good. We referred them to our sons-in-law and they hired them too. Our backyard is absolutely gorgeous now. It took some patience, but it was worth it. I give them four stars because of the communication issues, but overall, we're really happy with the end result.

I wouldn't recommend Dolphin Pool Construction Co Inc to anyone. Even though they might have a good price, they don't follow through. We signed our contract in November and paid half of the amount due, including the hard dig cost. They keep pushing us back, and they haven't even dug the hole yet. They don't call us, and we have to email them multiple times just to be told it will be another week, even after the day they were supposed to be there. If I could get all my money back right now and find another company, I would. But we've invested too much into this. They told us they would be done by summer, but with the way things have been going for the past four months, I highly doubt it.

This company ain't good at standing by their product. Go with another pool company. We got a pool put in 4 years ago. When we cleaned it big time 2 years later, our pool guy found 3 cracks in the pebbletech coating. Dolphin came out and said the cracks went into the gun it structure of the pool and they said they'd fix it. The fix didn't blend in with the pebbletech coating. We waited for months to see if it would fade and blend in. It didn't. We agreed to new patches to try to get it to match better instead of making them resurface the whole pool. Dolphin fixed the cracks again. The patches still don't match. They look like dark veins. Now Dolphin says they've done all they're gonna do and won't do anything else. Even though the problem started during the warranty period, they won't stand by their work.

I gotta say, Dolphin Pool Construction Co Inc is a real disappointment. Their customer service is just plain awful. When I hired them, we had a big issue with the "hard dig" cost. Finally got that sorted and the pool was finished. But then, just a few months later, I had a bunch of problems and couldn't get any help from Dolphin Pools. They just gave me numbers for their subcontractors, even though I only hired them. And then they charged me for removing a brick wall for access and then charged me again to put it back up. They did a bad job with the stucco finish and I got fined by my HOA. I've called and left messages over 15 times to their warranty department and the General Manager, but no one ever calls me back. It's been 5 months and still no repair. They don't stand behind their work and their warranty is a joke. I'm worried that if anything else goes wrong, I'll be stuck dealing with it on my own. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this company.

I signed a contract with Dolphin Pool Construction Co Inc in November . They told me that my pool would be completed by the end of May . But it's been four months now, and they have my money, but they haven't even dug a hole yet. They keep giving me excuses and saying that they will start in mid-April. I doubt that I will be able to swim in my pool this summer. I regret choosing Dolphin so far. They were responsive and great until they got my money. Now, they don't communicate with me, and they don't care about my concerns. They have torn up my neighbor's yard, and they don't seem to care about the damage they cause. I am disappointed that they still haven't provided me with an anticipated completion date. I started the design process almost nine months ago, and I still don't know when my pool will be ready. Dolphin doesn't care about their customers, and it's frustrating. I thought they were a local company that cared, but I was wrong.

I agree with sum of the reviews posted. I too started my contract in November paid the permit fee and the dig started in March. To this day in 2021 it has taken them 3 weeks to put down pavers and finish small details now in toward the end of June and still not completed. I too sent in checks and they were cashed way before they should have been. They have the money so now they can take there sweet time. I selected them based on recommendations that was a big mistake on my part. The untimely communication also very bad and not being able to have a laid out schedule from start to finish not good. If this was a home builder, that contracted skilled labor trades to do plumbing, electrical etc... and they did not hit there scheduled date(s) and delayed a project they would be back charged because it creates a ripple. I also really do not care much for the ComplaintsBoard.com since they are not 100% on a customers side. I understand that they have to be neutral but read the comments thoroughly, you will see that many business get off easy from the ComplaintsBoard.com. I understand about delays but delays in construction but in my experience they normally do not go beyond 2 weeks and are resolved immediately. This happens because of knowledgeable schedulers that are on the phone immediately calling subcontractors that missed there dates or delayed. I worked in construction and know but what this company lacks is competent employees that actually value their work. Telling customers a date then not making it and not finding a solution to fix it is very bad practice. The company where I work strongly keeps and adheres to customer service we actually make deadlines and if there are delays we find solutions immediately even if sometimes we don't make our profit margin. In short I have learned it is better for a home owner to this on his own. I should have found my own contractors and did my own permits it would have been cheaper and easier and I would have complete control the cons there is more work one has to do on there own to get there but in the end you would get exactly what you want and in a shorter amount of time. two stars for lack of communication and lack of follow up.

Dolphin Pool Construction Co Inc is not good at all. My pool project took way too long and their customer service and communication skills are terrible. They messed up the raised wall fountain too. Don't waste your time with them.

dolphin pools is not taking out all the dirt from the pool diggin. they came to take it out but it still looks bad.

I started working with Dolphin Pools in November and they said it would take 4-6 months to finish, but it's taking longer. They haven't been following the plans and put in the wrong electrical stuff. We had to hire someone to check it and they only fixed it after we told them. I think they did it on purpose to save money, even though we paid for better electrical stuff. Now we're behind schedule because they gave us the wrong payment amount and are blaming us. We have proof in writing, but they're telling us it's our fault.

We're building a pool with Dolphin Pool Construction Co Inc and we got a water feature with a slide. The slide is done but it's got some bumps and holes. I told the boss and he said they'd fix it but then he came back and said it's natural and they can't do anything. I talked to the big boss and he agreed it's not good and he talked to the construction boss. The construction boss called me and said he'd come next week but he said there's a good chance they can't do anything. This is not cool and not professional. We want what we paid for and we want it now.

We signed up with Dolphin Pools on September 30th. They said our pool would be done by February , but it wasn't done until February 25th. Our contract said they'd finish everything 90 days after digging, but it's been 98 days since June 3rd. We've talked to them a lot, but they haven't given us any updates or schedules. They said they ordered stuff, but they didn't. They've come to our place a lot, but they haven't told us anything new. We're still paying them on time, but they haven't updated our hardscape items. We've talked to the media and other people about how unprofessional and uncommitted they are. They haven't talked to us or given us any service in the last 3 months.

Dolphin Pools was recommended to us by a bunch of people and we used them to build our backyard pool for just under $100,000. It had a swim-up bar, baja ledge, sunken grill, pergola, fire pit, and travertine and turf installation. The design process was great with ***, but things went downhill from there. Our contractor changed three times and communication was terrible. We had problems with the wrong tile, fire pit too close to the pool, travertine installed wrong, grading issues, sump pump not working, grill not getting hot enough, and pergola taking over a year to install. We started in 2019 and still can't use our grill. Warranty department never returns calls or emails and the maintenance tech is a kid who doesn't leave voicemails and just says 'looks good' when he comes out. We regret using this company.
