poor management
So, my experience so far has been awful. I’m just trying to reach out and see if anyone has had similar experiences, and maybe has some advice to give?!
I’ll start from the beginning,
Easy home delivered our couch, and bedroom set a few months back. Upon inspecting the furniture for flaws before they left, I found a huge rip in the back of the couch. And a missing dresser from our bedroom set. All was taken a note of, and I was told it would be delivered within a few days. This never happened. Even despite bringing it to their attention multiple times.
While this all went on, I also requested my payments be made monthly, as it worked for our budget best. I got multiple calls and threats every single day, to find out I was being billed weekly. No one on their end changed my terms. I refused to pay until the date that was agreed upon, but the “late fees” etc ALL stayed the same. Realizing this was never going to work within my budget, I made a payment arrangement for a portion of the bill. I’ve received multiple threats, letters threatening to take me to provincial court, and threats of accusing me of “theft by conversion” though this is ridiculous and I’ve done nothing of the sorts.
Does anyone have any advice on what to do?
Will they really take me to court for something this crazy? They’ve never once even attempted to make payment arrangements for the balance, just went straight for the throat! I’m scared!
double dipping
Ive had an account with easy home for years, paid off items etc and never had a problem until recently.
This past week a payment that is only 89$ came out of my account to the tune of 350$ and, instead of returning the money Im being told "we're looking into it"
I instructed my store to take a payment that would get me to my next payday as somehow we had gotten off track. This payment should have been 155$, they took 202$, upon hearing they took the wrong amount they promptly took the correct amount AND kept the 202$
And three days later still havent returned a dime but have given every stall tactic they can think of.
DO NOT SET UP AUTO PAYMENTS! they will screw you over with no remorse.

My fiance and I have an account with your Edmonton location at 13720 42 street. We have had issues with the management in the past with documenting our accounting wrong, miss applying payments and now we brought in on of our tvs to be repaired on Monday September 11 2017. I have been dealing with Natalie at the store to find out a time line as to when I can pick up my TV. Yes, we did receive a loner TV. A loner TV that is a lesser value and quality of what we have been paying for since 2015. I have been told by Natalie that she is unable to get a hold of the repair shop or she has to get a hold of Ashley to get a hold of the repair shop. This has been going on since yesterday.
All I am asking is for a estimated time line as to when I will be receiving my TV. No one is able to tell me when that will be.
At this moment, I am very frustrated as a customer that I can't get a time line as to when my TV will be repaired. When I take my car into be fixed I am given a time frame, why can't i be given the same respect for a TV that I am still making payments for?
i do NOT want to deal with a manager in Edmonton, I WANT TO DEAL WITH A DISTRICT MANAGER over this.
NOTE: I am preparing a letter to be sent to the news papers, I am in the process of filing a formal complainant with the better business bureau and writing a letter to every social media outlet to hopefully have someone deal with the unprofessional managers that are hired at these locations.

I ordered a bed and tv from easy home o waited three weeks for the bed then finally I call cause no-one contacted me then he says it will be delivered the next morning hasn't heard by lunch time called back says I only have one guy so wasn't gonna bother sending it out not even a call to tell me so called back three more times finally at summertime says I'll deliver it if i lift it so I did the tv they sent didn't work the clicker was chewed by a dog says the next morning I'll have a guy there by 3 by 4 nothing call him back says I forgot about you turns into a screaming match how is it ok for this disgusting behaviour and I'm the customer

Thanks for the reply. I guess I will start from the beginning. We had to get a new livingroom set as our son was diagnosed with severe allergies so we had to replace everything.
When the furniture was delivered there was no t. V although we ordered one.
We had to wait 2 days for the t. V.
We were told the lamps were new but I noticed all the paint was chipped off.
I called the store because the t. V had a white mark in it that was spreading. The delivery guys came and looked and ended up putting another mark on the screen while they were looking and said a technician would come look at the t. V but no one ever showed up. They also said they would deliver new lamps.
Fast forward 3 months and multiple phone calls and I ended up having to pay someone to bring me to the store to return the lamps and pick up new ones.
We also told them we didn't want the t. V stand anymore because we mounted the t. V. They picked it up 2 months later.
We had to pay a month for the stand because they said the delivery driver injured his back.
Our couches were torn on the inside and I lost an expensive ring in it and then the remote for the t. V got stuck in the side of the couch and we couldn't use the t. V properly for at least a month and although we called they didn't do anything.
I tried to order an accent chair and was told multiple times that the order went in, and then about two weeks ago was told that an employee walked out of the store and that the order was never put in like I was told. I was waiting on that chair for months.
They finally came with the "new" couches a little over a week ago and as soon as we set up the livingroom we noticed a tear in the arm of the couch.
I cannot get an accent chair now either because the one I had ordered had matched the other set we had.
The zipper also busted on the old couch and all the cotten was coming out, so we called the store because we didn't want our baby to choke on the cotton. We had to wait with the couch like that for about 2-3 weeks.
Then I had to go to store to pick out "new" stuff.
We were told it would be delivered on a monday but then they called and said they had no drivers and that the one delivery guy was still injured.
They said they would come the following day so we cleared out the living room to help.
They said they called tuesday but my phone was dead which it wasn't and said we would have to wait agian.
My boyfriend got very frustreded with an employee as we have children and nothing in our living room. She ended up calling another store and they helped with delivery.
Needless to say i've been very frustrated and I obviously don't have alot of money which is the reason I turned to easyhome only to pay for things that were broke for months.

He tried to over charge us fifty dollars and the manager april told us our payment also if you look at tapes people come in put cash om tables and leave without reciepts robert made it his personal agenda to screw with us and who knows how many times my wife was told one price and then when trying to pay it went up and im seriously going to get legal help to find out if there is any irregularties to my years dealing with easyhome and I want to know how many times your staff ripped me off and I also know someone was ripping you off and there were no changes to the staff so im a sponge rob said and should get a job when im on dissability well he insulted me and was told not to call here and he makes his joy calling me and the goverment doesnt like disabled people made fun of and rob personally knew my account was going in arrears never called so he could charge late fee on me he also left my couch on its end and it could of fallen on my dogs or my grand children and left fridge parts here which im getting rid of I will not pay another dime because rob called me a deadbeat and he also told us to sell a tv my grandson broke knowing it wasnt payed off and also never told me what the charges were on my glasses which I tried to return when I was charged double and owe more then the total cost x 2 your employee has made it his personal goal to screw me over and noyyom line 16 years and robert chased us out when we payed you well over 900 a month and now you 10800 a year in income and he still works there and got away with it how many customers are you willing to loose so he can call me names then send cops here omfg coward also said I threatened his family and what I said was that if he has to call the police the [censor] cant protect his family and now im banned from your store well send it to collections and now its on unless he is fired ill never pay it bankruptcy for me and if I was a sixteen year customer how much of a sponger am oi you never had to chase me till rob screwed me over
job loss coverage
They offer you a program where you pay an extra fee per week, incase you loose your job. I lost my job, submitted everything I was told to submit and given nothing but I run around and after 30 days I'm still having to find a way to pay for the full payments. Why is there this service and you can't even use it after 30 days of job loss? Seems like a sales bonus gimmick, the store employees refuse to know anything about it. And demand full payment regaurdless, including the fee for the job loss program that intitled me to assistance on payment up to 100$ after 30 days of job loss... appearently that's a scam !
returning items
We have had an account with the Kelowna easyhome a couple years ago and it was a pleasure. However we decided to go through them again, and it has been a headache. We called to return furniture and tables and lamps. We were going to keep the laptops. We went in this passed weekend to pay for the laptops. They wouldn't accept the money. We had a friend say they would help take stuff back, but then he couldn't. We informed easyhome that we don't have a vehicle to return the items and said we need them to come pick it up. They will not. Now the computers we tried to pay for, have been locked out. I have never seen such a weird way of doing things. We have no possible way of moving furniture. And we tried to pay for computers and we're refused.

Last year I had got a bedroom set and livingroom set I was paying 560 a month and could no longer afford the payment so I asked them to come get the stuff coming close to christmas she said she was charging me a restock fee of 560 and I told her I wasn't paying it here I check my credit and now i'm in debt with collections 6, 250.00 they had also picked it up before my payment was due

My wife and I are currently renting a washer and dryer from your Guelph store. And I know we are a couple payments behind but we normally pay them off and keep them paid on time. Anyways my complaint is that the guy there is Jason is rude and unpleasant to deal with. My wife and I work from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm for most of the summer and we try to call everyone back. However we have been unable to reach you guys . Jason is now texting my wife and is being rude about it, I find this completely unacceptable and unprofessional. We have been working had so we can keep up with the payments. I will be leaving a bad review and telling everyone I know not to deal with your company as it is unprofessional and your customer service reps need to be retrained.

Hello, I got my products around November 2015. I even got the VIP whatever they call it. But in the last few months, I have been a week late here and there. Easyhome installers messed up my new floors when they delivered a bedroom set which I had them take away. I let it slide, called in, and no one called me back. I will send you my last exchange with the store. In all my life I have never experienced such rudeness and lack of professionalism from anyone. Not sure if they think because we have gone there that we are not human beings or not sure that because of race, they again think they can disrespect me as they wish. I informed them I would be about a week late till September and I have been threatened with product repossession. After almost 2 years of payments! Wow! I have been quite shocked. Please read the latest exchange below. I have all the other emails that have been exchanged with this Northgate Store in Edmonton Alberta. Much needed customer service training should be provided. They are a very nasty and horrible bunch and have no respect for themselves or anyone else for that matter. I was told Tamara is gone and the General Manager Teresa is a awful. Sorry to say this but my experience with Easy Home staff has been a nightmare. I truly regret going there. My number is [protected]. I truly hope they are not a representation of the owners. I have been told that for the week late, I have to pay an extra $100.00 or they will come and take the product. That is I have to pay over $200.00 on my items that are $107.73. Feel free to call me to discuss this matter. It seems you have issues on the contract you signed! I would be happy to help you understand all this once again. Your comments that you make is unacceptable when your the one who came in and did up the papwer work for the product so clearly you understood then what you were getting your self into. The company does not work on your terms and if you have any issues feel free to return the product. You will not be going a week late on every payment It's called get you back on track with correct due dates. I'll be in the store from 9am to 5pm daily. I am complaining about the disrespect and rudeness
I'm donnette I've been a customer of easy home since 2014 I've paid off several items spending thousands of dollars. I've been on disability from my job since Oct 2016 due to breast cancer BRCA1 gene. It's been difficult and easy home has made it more stressful by calling everyday repeat my situation over again they are all aware I've asked yo get due date change I've gave pieces back none of my info has changed I communicate with them often they refuse yo do anything to help me sam the manger is horrible always threatening me with theft charges I'm not or have stole anything I just need patience and understanding that I'm going to pay just like I've always have I'm almost done paying on it loyal customers shouldn't be treated this way

Hello my name I cathy I have called the complaint before and they told me some one will call you back its been 2 weeks now and never got a call. I am a really good client never miss a paiement and buy alot from you guys but my last purshase went sour when I went in the store to buy a shay bedroom set I was givine a price and so I order the bedroom set took for ever to get it cause they forgot to place my order 2 times and so took 6 month before I finally got it so then they deliver it to me and when I realise and the lease the price was not wright so I tell the guy there in he says to me ahh no worries paul will fix it there has been a mistake.. And then I call paul 1 week after and he says there has been no mistake that is the price and so I tell him that is not wath you told me and I explaine and so he wants to hear noon of it and so sadley I tell him I can not paye that please come get it I was so sad and down beacause I have been saving up for this bedroom set... Really mad at me he comes and picks it up and leave agree. I call hime back one week after beacause I had kept the matresse ans boxspring and ask for the metal rack cause I can not keep it on the floor and he tells me well I have noon... Soo I enforme my self to you guys and they tell me that they must provid one for me so I call back and took like 2 weeks befor talking to him cause he did not want to talk to me and still he says I have noon so you half to wait. So I leave it like that 2 weeks after I unfortunatlly lost a closse one and a lot has happen so my doctor has stopet me from working for healt problemes and so... I call at the store beacause I was afraid to be late with my paiements an so and I ask paul I have an insurance with my matresse I have paid since the begenning and he says hum no sorry when I pick up the bedroom set your usband told me to take it off, and I am like well no he did not plus it is my account you hav no wright to take nothing off without my consult.. That is when he tells me I have nothing else to say to you. Bye and hangs up... I call back and he never wanted to speek with me so never could I have maide my paiements cause they kept hanging up on me.. That is when I called you guys but never got a call back.. Henry is the manager at 78 in state in KCK. Very unprofessional he messed up on my paperwork, I been making payments for a month he said he would pick up my things after I already made payment. He kept hanging up on me when I was trying to talk to him on phone. They been calling me everyday since I have made my payment. Henry treats clients bad and very unprofessional he messed up and won't fix the issues. Beware of Henry the manger in KCK don't go to that location he should be fired. I am not only 1/2 way through my contract for purchasing this set and this is the second time it has broken down.. Now they tell me it would not be worth fixing. They are looking for another dryer. I have dealt with Easyhome for years, now i think somethong should be done to compensate us for the inconvience this is causing. Your products should st least stand up for the length of the contract. I deal with 4th and Albert st . Brance attention Jeff. I believe if they havd to replace the dryer it should be eith a new machine that matches the washer or i should revieve a total new set . bedroom suite with a mattress we never agreed on.
I broke my neck on March 13th of this year and was behind for a quite a while as I waited for medical e.I. I managed to catch up and yesterday morning just after 8am received a call...I was sleeping as I have a hard time falling asleep at nights due to the injury. They came to my home while I was away and left a note. I went to the store it was about 15 minutes before registered closing time. Simply stated who is harassing me. It escalated very fast as there was 2 men in there one whom looked to be hopped up on roids who came at me and was going to take a swing at me. His coworker told him he couldn't act that way. It pissed me off because I'm still recovering from my injuries unable to work and this young punk threatens me. Btw I was declined the insurance that I was supposedly paying into incase something like this happens. I was working within the last six months and was laid off just a week before my accident. Somehow declined lol.
unethical behaviour and refusal of product pickup
Latest date of incident is today May 23, 2017 from the Dundas St. Store in Woodstock ON.
My husband and I relocated to Woodstock ON in October of 2016. We had to move out of the primary residence that we moved into due to mould in the home and so when we found a new residence we went to Easy Home to purchase a new sofa set, coffee and end tables, 2 table lamps, a stereo system, a television and a mattress and box spring. We were initially greeted wonderfully and taken good care of. First incident that occured is we ordered a specific bed and had to wait 2 weeks for it., that was fine however when delivered the bed was wrong and had to wait another 2 weeks to have it replaced. Still paying our rental agreement. Then our luck struck again and my husband lost his job. We attempted for them to come and retrieve all of the product and they refused to comply with your "no hassell return policy and we started accumulating a bill that is still outstanding to this day I must mention. We finally had the bed set and the couch set picked up and reduced our payments. Still struggling to find work and making ends meet we have requested in the past 2 months 10 pick ups of the remaining product, and today received I want my money first then I will arrange pick up of the product. Then my mother in law has been called on the phone a liar and I am now being faced with the threat of court. All I want is for the stuff to be picked up. I know I am responsible for the payments to your company, and will occur when I have the money. However, I am complaining about the way your store and manager Teresa is dealing with your clients and routines that are advertised on the television and in your paperwork.

I am not quite happy...My husband have cancer...we are on treatment all the time...we are both on old age pension..never did miss a payment in the pass...
I did contact Sharon...and told her that we were in Sudbury and I will contact her as soon we were going to be back
But instead of this...she went and ask private information were we move what car i had ..what apartment we move in our phone number to another customer...and since then they been harassing us calling our phone number coming to the building..putting note on our car windshield...I did email her and told her we were upset because we were good customer...and she went and talk to another customer about us and ask for private information..and I wont reply to her until she tell me who is the person who give her private info on us
I dont think it is legal for a store to do this..and very rude...
I never had trouble with them and never did give them trouble..always paying good..she could have wait for me to contact her...instead of asking other for private info...
It is not right to do this..they did the same thing to me asking another customer their private info...
All this should be confidential..
I want them to stop calling my phone or come to the apartment..or I will contact my Lawyer

I ordered a sectional did not fit in ny living room due to the chase where it was oositioned so i send it back they re ordered me a diffrent plus ! The lady in the front was soo soo riude i have never ever experienced c/s of such additude pkus the mananger was no help making excuses for the rude ### anger managment of a employee so that was the end of feb for my sectional till today i have not recieved it i call in and they state by the end of april and cut me off saying ok thank you goodbye well will call u
