Ecco Shoes
I wore my Ecco Shoes over to my friends place the other day and when I was in the other room I heard them asking what was is all that black stuff on the floor. When I went back in I found out it was me - or my shoes. The soles were falling apart and leaving a trail of black rubber all over the floor.
I was so embarrassed I took off my shoes and went barefoot so I wouldn't cause any more mess. Luckily I was not out somewhere else.
I was shocked to find the soles falling apart, I love these shoes, they are so comfortable and are not a cheap shoe to buy. I was expecting a lot more quality for what I thought was a quality shoe.

Ecco shoes
Heels falling apart, ECCO is for the gecko. I am so disappointed considering how much I paid for these shoes. So nice on top, yet the heels are so bad. I would consider twice before going for another pair of ecco. I would discourage future customers from buying ecco shoes. I bought them approx. 5 years ago, I am not sure which store. I have the other pair of shoes that have lasted way longer and the soles are not disintegrating like this pair from ecco.

Disintegrating soles of my ecco shoes
Wore otherwise excellent condition, all leather Ecco shoes,, 4/16/23. Within 15 minutes, saw black material all over the floor of the rehabilitation center I was visiting.
This has happened twice before, once with my initial Ecco purchase in the Netherlands where they were made many years ago.
The second time was my husband’s Eccos bought in the USA, made in China. Now, #3 my event. WHY the same LOUSY soles?

Hello, I have FOUR pairs of Ecco shoes, mostly unworn and in storage in the wardrobe, a dry environmnt, all have totally disintegrating soles. I've been offered 20% off a new pair which is totally unacceptable as I paid about £500 for these four pairs. There was no warning whatsoever that if I did not wear them the soles would disintegrate. They have. I have sent videos which they have looked at but now they want photos they are fobbing me off at every single stage and being extremely difficult. I used to buy Ecco and still have another 10 pairs in the cupboard but I will tell everybody not to buy Ecco in the future.
Disintegrating New (Receptor) Ecco Tennis

I have had many Ecco Shoes more then 20 pairs all from Dillards store and this had never happened before. I have gotten 4 pairs at a time. These pair of Tenis I got at a Dillards store are disintegrating. I Put them on in the morning and within an hour they started to disintegrate (see photo) I have had tenis sole come off but never disintegrate in this way. Very upsetting specifically when you are on a trip and think you got good dependable tenis.
Desired outcome: I would like a refund or a new good pair of tenis. I really love Eccos and would appreciate a new pair.

Shoes falling apart/ soles disintegrating
Have these shoes a few years, getting them out of closet notice the soles were falling apart. Husband Purchased few years ago from Dillards in Anderson , SC for a gift to me. Don’t have receipt or exact date of purchase , the style number isn’t listed anywhere on the shoe other than made in Thailand. Very comfortable shoe so I hope to get a replacement.

Poor quality shoes, awful customer service.
Wrote a long and informative email providing details and photos of three pairs of nearly new/barely worn shoes that cracked across the cleats and soles.
Quickly received the brush off - go back to the retailer. Went to retailer who said tough they’re out of warranty. But they were new on/barely worn and had been kept in great dry, cool environment. They shouldn’t have failed.
Spent four months with them pretending they were investigating for them to finally say ‘go back to retailer’. Wow. As a family that have bought countless pairs over the year, we will be moving our loyalty to alternative brands.
Desired outcome: Acknowledgment, acceptance of poor quality and some compensation that went a good way to replacing at least one of the three pairs. I spent >£500!!

Ecco shoes
Hi I have 3 pairs of Ecco dress shoes and the rubber heels have deteriorated very badly and are falling to pieces. One pair of these shoes have been worn daily for a few years and I accepted this as normal so I threw them away the other pairs have had very little use and are showing very little wear (Photo attached)
Please tell me what you can do to rectify this situation.

Disintegrating Soles
I used to be a very loyal Ecco customer. I have purchased at least 15 of their products and have gotten my son wearing them now too. Several years ago the soles on one of my pairs of shoes fell apart and when I took them in to the store they replaced them immediately. I was very please. Recently another old pair disintegrated and they did very very little for me, just a small credit. This was really disappointing. The store pointed me to corporate for any more relief and the corporate office pointed me back to the store. This was really disappointing given they clearly know that the product the sold me for over $200 was defective. I just can't ever see myself buying their product again. This is not because I think they will fail again because the shoes I have bought recently seem fine; it is because it is simply unethical to know that you sold defective product and to not take ownership of it. I just can't stand seeing their logo any more.
Desired outcome: They should replace shoes fully when they see the soles falling apart with such a premium brand to support

on Saturday the 26th of October I visited the Ecco shop in City Mall Amman almost at 9 pm as there was a discount, actually, it was not in my plan to visit it, but when I found myself in the mall, I decided to visit Ecco shop to leverage from the discount.
actually, there was a limited collection included in the discount, but found something it seems suitable to me, before buying the product I asked the seller whether I can change it later because I need to have a further look at it at home because I need to leave the shop for family reason, the seller confirmed to me that I have 3 days to change the product within the discount.
very next day I returned to the shop to change the product according to the seller's statement, as I found it not good for me, surprisingly, the seller said that I can't change the product as the discount time finished.
I argued with the seller, that yesterday before buying the shoes you confirmed that I can change within 3 days with the discount and I bought the product based on that, the seller apologized to change the product, as it is the rule from the management, I told him that this is unacceptable to give the customer false statement to push him to buy something and pushed the seller to communicate with someone on the management level to find a solution and he did, after waiting for 10 minutes the seller returned with the same answer that I can't change the product and when I ask him to call someone in the management to discuss the problem, the seller refused that as this is the final answer from them and no need to call them.
to sum up, I bought a shoe from Ecco (city mall, Amman, Jordan), and the seller confirmed to me that I can change it within 3 days and within the discount time, the very next day the seller changed the words and refuse to change it and management ignored to communicate with me or find a solution.
what I know is that Ecco is a reputable company and it will not accept using manipulative manners to sell products, unfortunately, that is what happened with me in Ecco Jordan, furthermore, the management which should respect the customer and find a solution to these situations, it didn't take any action and ignore even communicate with me, the matter here is not the product itself, it is about bad attitude by the management and how they are treating its costumers, which present a bad image of this reputable international company.

Ecco shoes
A few years ago, the soles on a pair of my Ecco shoes looked like an animal had been eating them. After a little research, I found that the soles on Ecco shoes were known to disintegrate. In fact Ecco acknowledged the problem which it said affected less than 1% of their shoes. I decided not to contact Ecco and waste time on the matter. Now two years latter I discovered that the soles on two more of my Ecco shoes are disintegrating. I am just glad I did not wear them to the airport, and have to go through the airport barefoot. Ecco obviously has a serious problem which it refuses to acknowledge. I still have several pairs of Ecco shoes which I will have to stop wearing for safety reasons. Ecco has serious potential liability for injuries caused to individuals as a result of the defective soles, and to make matters worse, Ecco knows it! These shoes should be recalled immediately.
Desired outcome: I do not want anything from Ecco since I will no longer wear its shoes.

Sole of my shoes disintegrated in a way i have never seen before in my life although the leather was still perfect.
I try to wear it last weak and it started falling apart while walking.
Shoes were bought 3 years ago in Limassol/Cyprus and worn very little.
I don't have a receipt as i did not expect an Eco shoe to disintegrate. It is not the first Eco shoe I buy.

Deteriorating soles on ecco shoes
I owned a pair of Ecco Shoes that because of COVID related lack of travel, remained in my closet for about two years. When I put them back in use I found that the soles of these shoes had crumbled to dust. And, that dust followed me like a trail of crumbs for a search party! So, I was in touch with Ecco and was assured that if things were as I stated, they would provide a CASH warranty settlement to me. I was even given a likely amount of that settlement. I sent the shoes back to Ecco and in light of their commitment, I purchased another pair of Ecco shoes for which I did not have time to await the CASH warranty settlement. When, after 6 weeks of waiting for the CASH, I inquired of Ecco about the warranty claim I was told: 1. There would be no cash settlement; 2. The only thing I could get as a settlement was a voucher. I pointed out that since I had replaced the shoes, a voucher was of no use to me. That made no difference to Ecco;
3. Furthermore, the voucher had to be used in about 30 days from date of issue;
4. Finally, the voucher could only be used on the Ecco website. Purchase from an Ecco retail vendor was not possible were I to attempt to use the voucher.
BOTTOM LINE: Ecco would not support a commitment made by one of their employees, would not reimburse me for money already spent to replace a pair of their shoes and were unwilling to take any of the circumstances in my case into consideration.

Store issued gift card EXPIRED!!!
I currently cannot use my Ecco gift card at any stores, but I can still check the balance online provided by Ecco. According to the store manager, I emailed the customer service regarding my issue. However, after the customer service learned what happened on me, no more emails repones. I would like to know what am I supposed to do with this expired card. Thank you.

Shoes completely fall apart at a wedding
I have been a die-hard Ecco fan for quite some time. Last weekend I attended a black tie-required wedding event and decided to take my Ecco Square Toe nicest pair of shoes (these are not available anymore). These shoes had a partial leather and composite soul with a cushioned heal.
Shortly after the wedding started I looked down and noticed that one of the heels was falling apart. After walking around a bit after the ceremony had finished, I noticed that the heel literally was about to fall off. When I touched the heal it literally disintegrated in my hand... then the entire soul was flapping... a bit embarrassing as I left a black trail everywhere I went. Shortly there after the other shoe did the same... at the end of the night, the soles where both gone. These shoes were never in the rain, had been worn maybe 15 times over the years and put up with shoe horns. If I remember correctly these shoes retailed for over $250.00... feel pretty ripped off quite honestly and will be reconsidering my crazy loyalty after seeing this. Pretty disappointing.

Ecco shoe heel disintegrated into pieces
Dear Ecco customer service,
I am a regular guy that wears dress shoes occasionally. The last one was a Gala party a week ago so I got my suit ready and polished my Ecco New Jersey pair of shoes. Imagine my shock when my shoes disintegrated into black carbon pieces all over the house! And thank goodness it didn't happen on the dance floor!
After researching I found that this is something called hydrolysis! I am not sure what percentage of your shoes this happens and why but as a customer I can't accept this outcome for my expensive Ecco shoes. If it was a cheap brand I would understand but if you want me to believe that, as you advertise, "Your vision is to be the leading premium brand for shoes" then I would expect at least that your shoes stay in one piece.
I am willing to accept that the shoe production was somewhat problematic but I am asking that you own up to your standards and stand by your products by replacing this pair.

I bought the shoes in 2010 when I was living in China. I moved back to New Zealand and have only worn the shoes once in the last 8 years. However, the soles and heels of the shoes have disintegrated. I have a photo of the pair. I purchased other shoes prior to yours and they are still in good condition.
I am very disappointed with this situation and I am asking you to give me compensation following this unsatisfactory situation.

Men's shoes
Both soles have disintegrated on my men's shoes. Wasn't able to find an exact match but they are similar to S Lite Hybrid Derby. Five years old, maybe, but worn only occasionally. No bill or receipt available. Number on tongue APPEARS to be 44c202551 but not certain.
