Horrible horrible experience
I want my full refund back asap. I am super, super angry with everything about this bus.
1. Bus was late
2. Got stuck on the road and I’m travelling with my children.
3. Luckily bus was close to my grandparent's town so like 85 km away so I asked them to pick us up instead of sitting and waiting for no assistance and communication. My kids needed to eat and surely I cannot as a mother I cannot sleep in the bushes with my children only to wait for you to dispatch a bus in the morning to rescue us or so.
This is unfair on us as customers, we are trying to call no answer, we WhatsApp, we email we do everything but you guys treat us like nothing really, no one communicates, no one calls back just to hear us out on our problems, so exactly who are the managers and how can they best assist us in these types of matters?
Desired outcome: Call me and refund my money i must pay school fees for my children . This is by far no where my problem , or my fault.
Cockroaches infestation
Would not even give this company a 1 star rating as they are not worthy of it. Customer service is absolutely terrible... The bus is full of ****roaches more like infested, when I tried to complain to the staff they told me call the call center as there's nothing they can do, I tried asking if they could buy a bottle of doom as we where at PMB station and they blankly ignored me as a customer I feel that they only want our money and are not interested in customer service... This bus is broken and in a very bad state I will not be traveling by this bus ever again and would not advise anyone to take this bus this is absolutely disgusting. Wish I could have put a picture or a video so everyone can see the condition

Always late
The MOST Unreliable with ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING.
The first time I used Eldo, about a month back, as I'm traveling back and forth between Klerksdorp and Johannesburg, they were 2 AND A HALF HOURS LATE.
THIS time round, I booked the earliest I could, which was for 4.30am Monday 28th March, without any communication from Eldo coaches, and the timing was of UTMOST IMPORTANCE as I had an appointment I could not afford to miss, or I would've been Charged a MASSIVE fine.
I did however get a text message from Eldo telling me to be half an hour early for my bus, so I sat alone at the stop at 4am in the [censored] black of night and waited until only after 7am trying to call Eldo, when I finally got through to them it was almost 8am and the drivers both proceeded to give me the thousands of excuses as to why they were late, Including that the bus had broken down from Cape Town and that the trucks on the road caused the delay, to which I found out there was never a broken down bus, and gave such attitude to the passengers when asked why we had stopped outside the Johannesburg bus station we were once again given a poor excuse that they didn't know what was happening, the rest of the passengers were alreay almost going on 23 hours or so in the bus as it was... everyone had appointment and places we needed to be and there was absolutely no consideration for this.
The driver was waiting on the other driver to get back as he went to get Diesel, he returned empty handed and the bus started and miraculously never ran out of fuel and continued without filling with fuel after dropping me at my stop in Midrand.
Desired outcome: Preferably a refundI will be taking this to social media platforms unless I get a response from Eldo Coaches as I am absolutely disgusted in the service I keep getting from Eldo
Ticket refund
So yesterday I bought two tickets from Cape Town to East London and I missed the coaches however I tried to call before the departure time because it was obvious I was gonna be late, I called the telephone numbers provided but I couldn't get through, I even tried calling the WhatsApp number but it was on voicemail. So today I called to see if maybe me and son could be slotted in for today's bus but little did I know that my ticket has already expired and no refund will be implemented. I see no point of not being refunded or offered a new ref number seeing that in your systems it shows the ticket was not used. Please do attend to this.
Desired outcome: I would like to be given a new ref number not the money because I didn't use the current ticket, it doesn't matter the date.
Delayed bus arrival and no explaination
I booked a 9pm bus from Durban to Pretoria. What a terrible mistake. Thanks to them I was late for work. The bus arrived 1hr30min late at the beach front pick up. It took us to the bus station downtown and we were told to get off. 3hrs later I was still waiting for a bus to Pretoria. I have never been so disappointed and let down like this before.

I am at present sitting on an Eldos coach and sweating as the air-conditioning has been turned off.The bus Left Midrand over an hour late and then went to Park station after we were told it's wasn't going there.Aparently the Aircon is turned off when going uphill.What does that say about the condition of the bus.I will not be using them again.further I will speak to everyone I know about this trip
Short changed
Boarded a bus today and was advised that it was R390 and was given change in the form of a single R10 note. I was just buying the bus last minute in a hurry to board but upon inspecting the ticket I see the amount listed as 385, service rep at Durban station( Ntombi2) on the 13th of March 2022 10h55 failed to mention the price nor did she ask me to check the ticket. Now I am R5 short.
Desired outcome: I would like this amount promptly returned to me or the server dealt with. I can only imagine how many R5 coins are collected by your consultants, they're making a killing, at customers expense.
I've been in this bus for 6 hours and it's only now reaching the half way point. I will run out of transportation at my departure point if I didn't care about arrivals times I would have boarded later at DBN but I boarded a 11am bus so I would get taxis when I arrived in JHB. This service is so inconsiderate why don't the busses get checked before they operate? What happened to standards. Now I'll have to sleep on the streets because the company doesn't maintain their busses.
Poor service delivery and ignorance when reaching out for help
I booked a bus 04/03/22 from Park Station to Durban Station and it was supposed to leave at 7:30. We received messages from y'all saying that the bus will arrive at 08:30 and it never did, it only came 09h30 and whenever we asked the staff they were ignorant to us and got irritated by the fact that we asking. I tried reaching out to your Whatsapp line and there was no response from you guys just an automated message asking how can we help.
Fine the bus came and we boarded the bus and apparently it dropped off some ladies in Heidelberg and we were not told anything about this and the roads we took were gravel roads and up hill, as we got to the freeway just before Mooi River Toll Plaza the fan belt broke in half and the bus was overheating. The driver called for help and he was advised a new bus will come in 6-7 hours. That place is dangerous and we were on the road for almost 24 hours due to this incompetence. People even started hiking because they had plans and time was running against them.
You guys do not care about people's safety and your service delivery is very poor. Y'all are quick to take the money but when we inquire about the service that we paid for you don't respond or your staff gives attitude or ignore. I am beyond livid because even when we reach out to you via twitter and Facebook still you do not respond. This will end up to people filing a petition against your buses being in service because you do not give that service that is expected.
Desired outcome: Improve your service delivery and also be transparent to your customers because they paid to get the services it is not a free platform

I booked tickets this morning from eldo's website the payment went through however I didn't get any communication nor reference number from them, I advised them on whatsup no response when I look into my statement it does reflect eldo coaches it reflects David long distance services and they have kept quite, this is extremely frustrating i need to leave Cape Town Wednesday afternoon eldo coaches get back to me asap.

The service
2 March 2022, I was booked on one of their busses Eldo coach to travel from Pretoria to Durban. From Bosman station to Durban Station. Firstly the bus arrived a whole hour late at Bosman station. Then they told us that this is not the bus we will be taking, it's just a shuttle service the actual bus is at park station. We travel to park Station we get there and there is no bus. They then tell us the bus is in Midrand and it is going to be making its way to us shortly. How can we arrive from Pretoria (which passes midrand) first before the bus in midrand? On top of that we wait a furthermore 30 minutes. People started complaining that they cold even. When the bus finally arrived.. The driver got lost going to fetch someone or people from Heidelberg.. He got lost with us for over an hour and even had to ask us for directions. I have been disappointed by Eldo Coaches before.. But this was the last straw. Eldo Coaches doesn't value or care about their clients and they don't care about our complaints either. They should be put out of business.
That was one incident. On a different occacison, I was again leaving Pretoria going to Durban.. This time we got stopped but the traffic officers in Heidelberg and the driver didn't have the passangers list. The officer told us that he can't release the bus to continue on the journey without it because should something happen to us on the bus they need to know the number of people that were on board. We had to again wait over an hour while the managers of Eldo Coaches were called and they tried to speak with the officer. The officer refused to be bought as they were trying to bribe him.. And we had to wait over an hour while they bring the passangers list all the way from Pretoria again.
Desired outcome: I would appreciate a refund for this terrible service. It's about time Eldo Coaches pays for the way they mistreat people.. And a written apology. This is disgusting

Today we experienced the worst service ever from Eldo Coaches. We were expected to depart at 7.20am and had been waiting since 7am this morning other passengers since 6.30,only for the bus to arrive at 9.20.With no explanation or apology whatsoever. Then we had to travel on a bus that was in such a terrible state. 3/4 of the charging stations were not working neither was the aircon. Which made the stench of the toilet unbareable. There were so many people with little babies on the bus and that is such a health hazard. Imagine traveling 11 hours and having to put up with that stink. On many occasions before when I traveled with Eldo coaches we were told the toilet doesn't flush... This should be reported to the health department... We are paying full price on a ticket but have to put up with all this on such a long journey.. We reach the station at 8pm,but the driver drops us at the back of the station where NO CARS ARE ALLOWED. Myself along with 2 other ladies with very small babies and other kids had to wait with our luggage in the dark till someone came to help us. When I left the other lady was still there with her baby. Is this the customer service that we pay for from Eldo Coaches. Is this the type of consideration that you show towards your passengers. Or are you'll there just to make money of us.
I can assure you that this is NOT my 1st bad experience with Eldo Coaches. But I can also Assure u that it's my 1st complain. Because I did notice that it's because no1 is saying or doing anything, that this is ongoing,
In December I traveled a few times on the bus In the SAME situation and paid a fee of R450 in that condition.. But now if nothing is going to be done trust me it's going to be reported to the health department. Because no paying customer deserves to be treated this way.
Eldo coaches/Greyhound bus
This is the worst bus service ever. Firstly our bus was late. When the bus left Pretoria, the driver noticed that there was a problem and he reported it when he got to Johannesburg but they told him to go anyways to Empangeni and they will fix it when he comes back. So they put our lives in danger as the bus kept on stopping and breaking down in the middle of the road. We arrived late, 6 hours after the stipulated time. They never bothered to tell us what is wrong. This is definitely the worst bus service ever
Refund it's been two years now
I have been requesting for a refund since 2020. I have sent all the required documents at Lenasia Offices, been emailing and calling with no proper feedback. Nompumelelo Hlungwani ordered three tickets online from Joburg to Durban return, on the 18th of December 2020, and canceled on the 19th of December 2020 sent the required documents at the office at Lenasia Eldo coaches due to a funeral at home. I was told wil get refunded within 21 working days. Consultants are rude including their manager.
Desired outcome: I want my full refund as I have wasted money on emails and calls for the past two years.
I’m starting to worry . Maybe one must go to the offices already and tell them where to get off . Very rubbish treatment

On Saturday the 5th January 2020 I went to the pmb eldos office to buy a ticket, I was first in line, but I never got seen to by the only cashier in the office, I really don't blame her cos she was working alone, each time a bus arrived she had to go and put the people on the bus, I stood in that line for an hour and 15 minutes cos the cashier only had barely enough time to check tickets that were about to board the busses, I had to leave the office, on the 6th I went to buy a ticket, the cashier said that the printer is not working, please employ staff, you'll service is very poor

Dear Eldo Coaches to whom it may concern.
Our bus left Durban station at 8:39am, after we passed Montrose (Between Harrismith and Wayden) at around 13:00 the bus broke down due to a fan belt issue. A mechanic was called to come and fix the bus so we can continue with our journey, but he failed to assist. The drivers didn't bother to inform us about the situation, we had to ask (Stuck in a middle of nowhere).
1. After waiting for 7 hours for a replacement bus, we had to make other means of transportation. Meaning we had to hire another vehicle, yet we paid. Which meant we had to pay extra money we had not budgeted for.
2. Our luggage was stolen due to negligence of inspection of your drivers. One of my bags had a brand new laptop which was purchased in December (I've got all the evidence you need for that).
3. Hygiene was pathetic, Covid-19 regulations were not followed whatsoever. Toilet stinked, urine smelled horribly.
4.Your staff is terrible at communicating and very rude.
5. I DEMAND A REFUND AND COMPENSATION FOR THE EXTRA COSTS AND MY LOST LUGGAGE !
Desired outcome: To be refunded and compensated because I won't let this slide.

Nonsense Bus. I booked to go to Ngcobo, the stupid bus gets to Mtata (3 hours after the estimated time of arrival) and I was told the bus does not go to Ngcobo. So why the hell did they accept when i was booking? Nonsense if you ask me!

This is literally the worst bus company ever. Their busses are always late and no explanation or apology is ever given. The incompetence is too much. They should closed down, costumer service is a negative. I'm using the this company for the second time and the 1st time the same happened and I had to contact their offices in order to get an explanation.

My child and I were traveling from Bloemfontein to Engcobo on the 9th January 2022, bus time 01h20am. I was left a short distance after Cofimvaba on a junction in the middle of nowhere. Reasons were the road/bridge to Engcobo had collapsed and they couldn't proceed that way. I had to pay R120 for taxi to Engcobo. Ref: AB8F9101 and AB8F9102. That bridge had collapsed for 2 weeks already; why didn't the drivers know that ? And why they didn't use alternative routes to ensure that they get us where we were going? I deserve a refund/partial refund to cover the taxi fare for this unacceptable inconvenience. Secondly bus was late for almost 2 and half hours and we received no communication.
