I was booking a package deal on Expedia. ca for flights & hotel & when I got to the CC information to pay for the transaction I used my debit/credit card where the money was to complete it with no issues with my bank account but the transaction was denied & said to use different card. So I went into my bank account to see why it didn't go thru & noticed there was funds put on hold in my account from Expedia. Why would you put funds on hold in my bank account if the transaction didn't complete? I called my bank & they told me that since the hold was from Expedia that they need to cancel & put back in my account but when I call Expedia they tell me there is nothing to cancel & that I have to wait for the money to go back in my account. My question is why did this happen in the first place? If it didn't complete then no money should have been taken at all. Because of all this mess, it has delayed me booking my trip with the rest of my family on the same flights. I really like Expedia & using it & have never had problems before & now I am very disappointed & don't know if I will use you again if this is what is going to happen.

Claimed loss: $803.60 & loss of booking

Desired outcome: Please remove hold & put money back in my bank account
