This is the worst place to buy a car, Mainly because of the staff, this business hires low lives, I drove 1 hour to purchase a vehicle from Family Auto Mart, I was greeted buy a short tan man ,I explained that I saw on the website that they had 2 vehicles at $2500, I explained I only needed the vehicle to drive that it would be a work vehicle. He told me the cars at those prices Had blown engines (why Would you post that and not even say it on the website) This is a strategy that family Auto Mart salesmen use to up sale you into a New car, I am aware of this because I have purchased 3 vehicles in the past from them, The Tan man was being rude telling me that "I was looking for a Junk car" so I asked to speak to someone else, he goes over to another man Taller white male who is the Manager, The man walks away from me and The Tan man tells me "See ,he doesn't want to deal with you either", Then finally the white male comes back I explain to him that the Tan man was being rude saying things like "I get it you to broke to purchase a vehicle"," You have no money to spend 10K on a car" Tall white man walks away and tells me "[censored] you, get out of my lot" ,At that moment I lost my [censored], due to the disrespect, This place has been around for a long time, and have the worst reviews. I would NOT buy a car or refer ANYONE to this place again Bryan Power (owner) needs to get his goons in check, My children were scared, This is unprofessional, I began to record them with my phone, so they all pulled out their phone to record us as they all began to walk away, All these guys should be fired,I have never been so disrespected or embarrassed by any dealer in my life.

They had a 2014 Ford Fusion for sale for $2,500 and they added a dealership fee of $876.50 plus tax, tag, and title which came to a total of $3
They had a 2014 Ford Fusion for sale for $2,500 and they added a dealership fee of $876.50 plus tax, tag, and title which came to a total of $3,789. I couldn't believe it. My wife was mad and asked why it was so high, but all he could say was that it's their fee and it's not the highest in town. They're taking advantage of people because of the stimulus checks people are getting, so they're raising the prices. They don't care if you have a family that really needs a car to survive, all they care about is the money. I don't even know how they're still in business. I'll tell everybody not to go there because they're vampires.
I bought a 2015 Kia Sorrento from Family Auto Mart, Inc
I bought a 2015 Kia Sorrento from Family Auto Mart, Inc. and was super excited to drive it home. But guess what? The same day I drove it, it broke down! I had to tow it to the Kia dealership and they told me that the engine block needs to be replaced. I tried to get a refund, but they keep saying that I bought the vehicle "as is." It's been almost 4 weeks and I still don't have the vehicle. They even hit my account without my permission for $517 for sales tax, saying that I have to pay no matter what. I talked to the finance company and told them that I don't have the vehicle, but they only cared about me being behind and wanted $509. I'm still without the vehicle and I just want all my money back. I put down $1,500 and paid $517 in sales taxes. They keep telling me that I bought the vehicle "as is" and that Florida has no lemon laws. I'm still paying for my leased vehicle and I can't move on because of this nightmare. Can someone please help me get out of this mess? I just want my money back, please.

Bought a car from these guys and it broke down in less than 2 days. They didn't even bother to check it before selling it to me. And to top it off, they don't offer any warranty on their cars.

I went to Family Auto Mart on Feb 24, 2022 at 7pm to buy a used car
I went to Family Auto Mart on Feb 24, 2022 at 7pm to buy a used car. I put down 3000 bucks and agreed to pay 600 bucks a month for a 2015 car that had engine problems. The next day, I went back to ask for a refund but they said no and didn't give me the owner's number. They didn't even tell me why they wouldn't refund me. They also asked me to pay 400 bucks for the title and 1000 bucks for sales tax, which is too much for me. I won't be able to pay my bills if I have to make these payments.
I bought a car from Family Auto Mart on July 27 and financed it through *** Loan, the finance company they use
I bought a car from Family Auto Mart on July 27 and financed it through *** Loan, the finance company they use. I made my first payment on August 3, but on August 16, they repossessed the car because I missed one payment. The next day, I called the finance company to make two payments, but they told me they sold the account back to Family Auto Mart in less than 24 hours. They didn't even give me a chance to make the missed payments, even though I had the money. Unfortunately, my sister-in-law was in the Houston Medical Center being taken off a ventilator and placed in hospice, so I totally forgot about the payment. Now, they're saying I have to pay the full amount of the vehicle to get it back, even though the truck still had a paper tag and I didn't own it for 30 days.
was met with a rude and dismissive attitude
was met with a rude and dismissive attitude. He told me that I should have bought a new car instead of a used one and that it was my problem now. I was shocked and appalled at the lack of customer service. After some back and forth, I was able to get the car towed back to the dealership. They fixed the issue with the tale lights but the stalling problem persisted. After a few more visits and repairs, the car is finally running smoothly. Overall, my experience with Family Auto Mart, Inc. was a mixed bag. While the initial purchase and test drive went well, the issues that arose afterwards were handled poorly by some of the staff. However, I am happy with my car now and hope that any future customers have a better experience with the dealership.
I bought a car from Family Auto Mart on December 29th
I bought a car from Family Auto Mart on December 29th. I talked to them on the phone for 3 days before going to their lot. They lied about cars they didn't have that were advertised online. They sold me a 2010 Kia Soul. The car broke down right after I left the lot. I returned it, but they wouldn't give me my down payment or tax payment back. They financed me for $15,000. The car broke down 2 blocks away. They said it was air in the gas line and I drove it home. It died 3 times in the dark. I had to get a family member to help me. I returned the car the next day. A mechanic said it was bad. I lost $1700, but I want my $1200 back. They took my financial papers and I only have a $1000 receipt. My insurance company is helping me get my money back.
I gave back my car to Family Auto Mart, Inc
I gave back my car to Family Auto Mart, Inc. Doug, the boss, wouldn't give me the info I signed. He's trying to avoid getting in trouble. I bought a 2017 Dodge Journey crossroad from them on February 26. They said it was in good shape and stuff. We left the lot with no lights on the dashboard showing any problems. But less than 24 hours later, the check engine light came on. They reset the batteries to make the check engine light go away long enough for me to buy it. When I took it to the mechanic, he was worried. There were bolts and screws missing in important places! There was a cable that was supposed to be plugged into the engine that wasn't. It looked like someone took parts from under the hood. The emission system was messed up. After a tune-up, the car started turning off in the middle of the road. The alternator went out on July 20th. The car was dead, and the compressor for the a/c was busted, which is expensive to fix. The car wasn't worth what I paid, plus the cost of repairs. So I talked to the finance company, and they told me to give the car back. I live far away, so I had to pay for my own tow truck. When I got there on August 12th at 3:45 pm, they wanted me to sign three different papers. I read each one, and one said I wouldn't sue them. Another said I wouldn't get financing from them anymore. But I didn't want to sign the one that said I wouldn't get any money back. Today I got a letter from the Florida DMV asking for proof that I gave the car back. I canceled my insurance after the car stopped working in July. I called the business and asked for copies of the papers I signed. Doug, the boss, said since I didn't sign all the papers, it didn't matter where the car was. He wouldn't send me the papers I signed. He talked about taking the car back (even though I already talked to the finance company). Then he said he didn't want to talk to me anymore and hung up. I didn't want to sue them or complain on social media. But they lied and were mean, which was the worst part. If I have to, I can take legal action.
Family Auto Mart sold me a SUV with a bad engine and almost got me and my family killed
Family Auto Mart sold me a SUV with a bad engine and almost got me and my family killed. I got statements from 3 mechanics. They had a salesman named Carey who tried to sell me a car that was safe for my daughter to drive and had enough space for my cleaning business. I was lured in by the cheap prices on their website with nice looking cars. When we went there, we were looking at a 2010 Buick enclave. After being dropped off, Carey and Doug told us that every car on the website is a lemon and the cars look nothing like advertised. They then showed us a 2007 GMC Acadia. Carey was nervous about my daughter driving it but said it was safe. We bought it on November 1st and paid almost $5000 by cashier's check, as well as almost $1000 for registration and title. The Acadia lasted 2 months and stalled in the middle of the road. Some kind strangers helped us move it out of the road and advised us to go to Tuffy. The manager at Tuffy told us we need a new engine. Doug said it was a "paper weight" and he wouldn't give me a working car in exchange for that one but he would give me $1000 towards another vehicle. I tried to see if it could have the engine rebuilt, but it needs a new engine. To date they have not taken responsibility for the matter. I had to turn in my tags on the vehicle and cancel the insurance. I got conned into purchasing a lemon. They knew my husband was dead and my cleaning business was a start up to help me and my kids as a single mother. I tried to have them resolve the matter and was met with apathy. Now I am asking the ComplaintsBoard.com to launch a full investigation into the matter and to help me get my refund on this vehicle and set things right. This was a costly and traumatizing experience as I had people contact me for my cleaning business and I couldn't even get it started. They not only sold me a bad car but they killed my dream and affected our entire future and ability to make income.
