There were countless times the escrow officer and team had to verify simple facts of the contract including things like the close of escrow date that had not changed. Communication with the clients was even more confusing as they kept referencing the "signing appointment" as the "closing date". We waited nearly 2 weeks to receive an earnest money receipt leaving everyone wondering if the funds arrived safely. Speaking of uncertainty in fund transfer, we made several requests for wiring instructions until they came to the buyer via the listing agent. Last, it seemed the escrow officer was very unfamiliar with the escrow and closing process in our state. Their fees weren't even less than standard, so I can only assume a kick back was why the seller insisted on using them!
Total incompetence — or worse, shady dealings. If they can’t handle basic escrow duties, they have no business in real estate. Warn others, report any irregularities, and refuse to work with them again.
