I had a confirmed booking with Flixbus for Saturdaty 30th Sep from Birmingham Summer Row- Great Charles Street - London Finchley Road (Stop CL) at 10:45 (Reference No. #[protected]) with seat reservation 15C.
At 5.34AM Saturday I had an email saying "We are very sorry, but we had to cancel your ride... "
When I woke up I tried to re-book another Flix bus to London for same day but nothing was available on Flixbus, Megabus or National Express and railways were on strike. I went to New Street railway station and Digbeth coach station to see if anything was available to get me to London or close to London but nothing was available
In the end I used my bus pass to get to Coventry and take a Bolt cab for £125.60 to London White Hart Lane. My return journey by National Express was at 9.30PM and was not cancelled.
How is it possible and legal to book me on 10.45AM coach with Seat Reservation and cancel 5 hours before journey leaving me in great distress to get to London.
I have used Flix several times including in Jan Paris to Geneva and found everything to be functional so was shocked to final my trip cancelled at such short notice.
I hope my compensation can be made quickly and amicably.
I await your positive confirmation.
