Freelancer.com Has stolen my money.

Freelancer.com company is scam.
I honestly completed work for one of the projects on their website and received $150 to my account balance on freelancer.com.
But when I withdraw money I notice my account was closed.
I contacted their support and they said that I didn't keep terms and policy.
But I didn't any illegal action in freelancer.com.
I did not receive any clear explanation from support team of freelancer.com. Their support is unclear.
So, the result is - they stole $150 from my account. I do not recommend work on freelancer.com under any circumstances.
Avoid this scammers.

Desired outcome: Freelancer.com

Freelancer.com Withdraw my money

My account was closed.
I want to get my money back.
My freelancer account have 1253$ and now I can't log in.
I requested withdraw 1150$ in 25th of December and after 12hrs my account closed.
My several clients asked them the funds of 1253$ and the support team said it already deposited my account.
But how can I get it back? LOL.
They said it already deposited my account. Yes maybe it is.
Then one question. Why they didn't give it to me.
No email, no reply. They are going to get my funds.
If not, maybe they sent me email.
Freelancer support very poor. No phone call support, they just used ticket and live chat.
Live chat support team is [censored] already. They are really no need.
Maybe all freelancer users know live char support team no need.
Also the ticket is too slow to resolve problems.
Only phone call is the best way. Maybe they know it but they ignore it.
Because they are going to stole money from freelancer users.
They will not have phone call support team forever.
JUST WANT TO SAY IS " GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK ".
Maybe all freelancers and employers will leave your freelancer.com forever.
To avoid this one, you must refund my money back right now.

Freelancer.com My account closed

My account was suddenly terminated without any explanation.
I requested to withdraw $200 on the 31st of December. And I enjoyed the holiday.
On the 3rd of Jan, I found my account closed. I asked the support team and they said it is restricted on 31st and closed on the 1st of Jan. No reason was given. Why didn't they give me 48 hours?
I don't know if this is the intention of using the holiday season to do account hunting.
From the start of the new year, I got involved in a bad day.
I had $100 in my account and 3 currents jobs for $1500 totally.
I also lost my clients.
I want to get my hard-earned account back.
At least I want to find my money.

Freelancer.com Closed account with usd 3000

Hello!

I am an architect and I've been building my profile and working on Freelancer for the past 4 years. I've built a solid profile and monthly income on the website.

On approximately September 20th, my account was restricted, which I notices when I tried to bid for a project. I received NO WARNING email or anything from Freelancer regarding this, and after sending countless emails to their support got no response from them regarding the issue, so I thought it was a mistake of some sort. On October 5th, I got an email saying that my account restriction was lifted. When I tried logging in immediately after, my account was CLOSED. At the time of closure, I had approximately USD 3000 on it, and was in the middle of two projects with an important clients that I cannot contact now.

Since October 5th, I've sent countless mails to their support and accounts team, and still have no reply from them regarding the closure, what I did between the time of restriction and closure that prompted it, or what happened to my money.

I've read through Freelancer Terms and Conditions and I am aware that they can close the account if there was a violation of their terms, and I assume this is where the issue lies, only I cannot get a response from them.
I would be perfectly fine with them evaluating the damages they think I've caused with my behavior on their site and paying a fine, but I think it is very unprofessional of them to grab my hard earned money and run with it, especially when I trusted them and kept so much money on the site to begin with. There should at least be some sort of dispute before they do this.
I am hoping that this complain might reach their administrator or support team and if my account cannot be reopened that at least they have the courtesy of refunding the remainder of the money that is left on my account.
If I still get no reply, I think that I will be forced to contact the AAAC or sue in small claims court to resolve this issue and get my money back.

Freelancer.com Milestone payments reversal

I complete projects for two clients on freelancer.com and received the payment. The money was in my freelancer.com account, the reviews had been published, I had even requested to withdraw that money into my bank account and all was good. A few hours later, they suddenly suspended my account without any warning and I could no longer access it by any means. I contacted the support. A full day passed and they said that your account is under a review so you can continue working but cannot withdraw any money.
When I finally got access back to my account, my money was gone. Two milestone payments worth 520 USD each had been reversed from my account. So I lost 1040 USD.
I suspect that it might be a chargeback that the website is imposing on me, as they have done in the past with other people as well.

Just got a response from the support. Apparantly my client had commited some violation of their "terms and conditions" and their accounts had been closed and all of their transactions had been reversed due to that in order to protect the freelancers. How does taking someone's hard earned money count as protecting them?
If the employer's had any funny business going on than that is the website's responsibility. They cannot take money out of our accounts for that.
Can anyone please guide me how I can get my money back legally?

Freelancer.com Unfounded closing my account

On 9 September I got from Freelancer notification that I have to verify my identity. I did it, and on 10 September evening I got an email "Further information required to verify your identity. Thank you for your submission and responding to our enquiry but we need you to provide further information to help us verify your identity. Please respond within 45 days. If we don't hear from you within this time, we'll have to completely limit your account". I didn't have time to fill out the form that day and thought that I could do it on the next day. On September 11, 2020 early morning I found out that my account is closed. The point is that I didn't receive any notifications about it. I filled out the form "Reopening closed account" a few times but I didn't receive any emails/ feedbacks to my mailbox. At this moment I want to know what is the reason to close my account and how I can withdraw my funds in amount of ~5, 5 USD!

Freelancer.com Stole my $900 plus from mothers account deposited into my account

I have contacted you over and over about this since June with nothing being done. Today I find out account deactivated.
I setup an account back in June and placed add for e-commerce store coding help. Alex Simonov bid $900 I think close to it and a deposit was made from Security Bank in Martin TN account name Donna P Baker. They withdrew over $1000 I will have to go back and check the bank records for exact amount but they know exactly how much. We called the bank to let them know that the withdraw was safe and the bank sent them the money.
A week later Alex asked me to pay him a portion of the funds because he had completed some of the work. I agreed and tried to pay him $450 and it was refused I was told I had to verify the account and that I could allow them to make a small withdraw from our bank account to verify the account.
That small amount they stated was needed to verify account was not small at all they tried to withdraw another $1000.00 which the bank called us and we refused and said it was fraud (which it was as we never agreed to send in a total of $2000 for one job that was bid at $1000 or close to it).
I have requested that they release the money and pay alex s over and over or return our money to the bank.

You have stolen this money and caused harm to my family. Fix this or you will hear from my attorney and I will see that this settled no matter how much money it costs.

Freelancer today tells me that since the funds they withdrew from Donna Bakers Bank Account is not in my name they refuse to return the money.
Donna Baker does not have a freelancer account so in essence they today stated they were keeping over $1000.

They refuse to to send the money back to her account. I believe since my daughter is an attorney it's time for a True Class Action Suite against these people.

Donna baker sent them a copy of drivers lic with a photo of her holding a sheet of paper which stated that money was to go into Account of her sons or WIRE THE MONEY BACK TO HER ACCOUNT. THEY REFUSE.
I HAVE HAD IT. IF YOU DO NOT DEPOSIT THE FUNDS BACK INTO Security Bank Mart TN. Within 24 hours you will not like the advertisement you will get from me and I will no longer be willing to settle this outside of court.

If freelancer has taken you by refusing to return your money They as a company withdrew from your account please contact me.

As of August 25, 2020 at 6:51 pm central time I will be seeking to file a Class action suite against these thieves.

This will go live on google tomorrow

Hello !

They didn't explain the reason and how to resolve it. Their reply is automatic and not helpful at all! I attached the screenshots for it.

Freelancer.com Account closed without any warning/reason

Hello, I have worked day and night on freelancer.com and when I complete all projects and I earned 650$. I sleep at night with a good hope that I will withdraw my hardworking earnings tommaro and have a comitments with my developer to pay him too. I wake up and when I access my account they said it is closed. I tried contacting with freelancer for a reason and they asked me to read terms and conditions. My mistake was unknown. Its really disappointing when you earned money on hard times and your account closed without getiing any warning however, if we are submitting our govt id before start working on freelancer then it means we are verified persons to work.
I am really disappointed that I can't able to do anything after my hard workings and never get paid. I am really half dead and I promise I will kill my self soon because I cant able to pay to my developer and cant run my home. All are looking at me once I get banned. I wait for 2 days if issue was not resolved then soon you will have my news and all screenshots of my earnings and work with freelancer.
Good bye all

Freelancer.com Reopen my account or give my money back if reopening is not possible.

Dear Freelancer Support Team,

On 2020/07/28, I received the email to request ID Verification.
So I submitted information for ID verification and received the reply email, "Verification of your identity has been escalated to another department. Thank you for responding to our enquiry to help verify your identity. We have forwarded your case to another department for review and may require an additional 48 hours to provide a response." (please see the attached file, "Verification escalated to another department_emai_screenshot.png").
But I tried login on 2020/07/29, it failed and shows "This account has been closed. Please contact support for further details."(please see the attached file, "Login failed and let me contact support_screenshot.png").
I emailed to support@cx.freelancer.com to let me know why my account has been closed and what should I do to reopen my account.
I've already received this same reply email 3 times.
You said "...We'll be in touch soon!" in all the reply emails.
How long is it "soon" for your Freelancer Support Team?
Let me believe you're a honest freelancing site. Reopen my account or give my money back if reopening is not possible.

Regards,
YunCong Liang

Freelancer.com Payment delayed, conflicted information, unethical behaviour and abuse of freelancers

After being scammed in the platform and understanding the Freelancer.com will not do anything to protect freelancers from predatory scammers passing for clients, I decided to leave the platform.

On several occasions, I tried to withdraw my funds and leave the platform but the result would always be that my funds would only be transferred within at least 20 days, making me stay in the platform for that period of time so I can keep track of my money.

I expressed my dissatisfaction with the support team on many occasions and I was always told that I could withdraw my funds immediately, have them available in my account immediately, and close my account. They would encourage me to stay and then send me a like to do this and the result would be exactly the same: at least 20 days wait for my funds to be available which makes me stay in the platform.

I feel like I'm being coerced to stay in this platform when I already expressed my will of leaving and having my money. This is UNACCEPTABLE.

Please help me make them pay my money so I can close my account once for all

Joana

Freelancer.com Freelancer Support team

I submitted a ticket to the support team on freelancer.com because my client created and awarded me a fixed price project that I have not been compensated for. Once I accepted the project I was charged a 10% project fee that made my freelancer account negative. It's been over 90 days since I've completed the work and submitted requests for milestone payments i still haven't been paid for to date. I submitted a dispute for the project fee and payments twice, and both times the support team told me that there was nothing they could do until they spoke with my employer. They tried contacting the employer and they won't respond. So my situation still hasn't been resolved and My account is still negative money.
