They are so good in charging money but when the time come for withdrawal they give lame execuses.
I worked on 8 projects.
When i gave a withdraw request after 15 days they cancelled it without even telling me.
When i asked them about it they said the employer is not following the guidelines of freelancer.com.
What is my fault if the employer is not following there guidelines.
I talked to employer he said i have already paid you.

Now what i can do? i suppose nothing . There should be some company who can visualize what these people are doing.

Kindly note that the verification process is implemented as part of our security measures on the site, I understand the inconvenience that occurs when accounts are limited or placed into verification, however it is a necessary step. This is why we urge users to visit the Verification Center to lift account limitations right away. The ticket ID's you provided have already been responded to by our Support Team and the proper department is yet to receive a response from you.

Furthermore, we are validating all projects in our site. However, do not have the option to know the real intention of all our users. But we make proper investigation on issues and users being reported to have violated our Terms.

Same here,

After working for a full week, I can't withdraw my money.

I said, yes..it's security let them do their jobs to make it safe, even if it's not my fault, and they actually guarantee the money if the clients use their escrow system (but that's bullish - it doesn't matter) ...but then, same thing with the second project, I thought that I might be the unluckiest guy, but now I realize it's a big lack in freelancer.com support / verification system.

So now it's been one month since I'm getting the same answer
"Your understanding and patience with regard to our updated security and verification protocols is highly appreciated.
Should you require further assistance, feel free to contact us again"

My problem facts':
A client has to verify his phone number - WHY DON'T' THEY CALL HIM?-he is not online for a while now (will we wait one year for him to enter the website)
Second client he's suspected for fraud (they say) - -- WHY THEY LET HIM OPEN 3 MORE PROJECT'S AND COMPLETE THEM ( I believe that this way they can affect other users also)

(waiting for bad repercussions after this post - so might end up waiting for a year)

P.S. - I suggest to close the freelancer account (after u fix the problem), and go work on oDesk.com - their verification and support team is outstanding.

Why it should be forwarded 2 you? It's support doesn't handle it?

Same problem here - freelancer.com it's transforming into a big scam! Why?
After working a full week (12 h/day) I can't withdraw my WORKED money. (even if I used the secure "escrow system")

I thought that's OK to verify, but next week different client - same problem.
It's now close to a month since they "verifying" - with no results.

Why I think it's turning into a BIG SCAM? Problems:
- one client - I can't withdraw because the client hasn't verified his phone number (
WHY don't u call him?)
-second client - suspected for fraud (that's what they say) -
WHY is his account active?
Why You allow him to post more projects?-and complete them
If he's accused for fraud - how he paid my invoice with freelancer invoice system?

Why should contact you, to sent him the same message?
"Thank you for getting back to us.
You may always contact us back to have an update on the tickets: QXZ-[protected] and UMK-[protected]). Once they have settled their account issues, you may then be able to withdraw your funds.
Should you have further inquiries or concerns, feel free to contact us again."

and this message I receive each day for 2 weeks now.

Freelancer should verify the user first not to let them screw up with workers. - but nooooo why?
"While we understand your concern, we are unable to comply with your refund request. Note that all fees incurred within the site are final and non-refundable" - so they run into my visa take the fees for the projects I can't withdraw!

kmap, I suggest you to start working on www.oDesk.com, it's just professionals, their support system and verification system it's outstanding.

don't apply to any more work
disable your payment verifications so they can't bill you, for something u don't need.

and about the SCAM, in their policy- they say it could take 365 days

The client hasn't verified his phone number: - WHY don't u call him?
The client is suspected for fraud: - WHY is his account active? Why You allow him to post more projects? How he paid my invoice with freelancer invoice system, if he's suspected for fraud?

How do you try to ask them to verify?, all you do is to sent them an email.
- Do you call them?
- Do you sent them an letter?

"The ticket IDs you provided have already been responded to by our Support Team and the proper department is yet to receive a response from you." - FROM ME? - I'm waiting a good response from them!

If you give me a good answer for this, I might believe you are well intended, but all I get from you is like from an ABC of support.
"For the meantime, we urge you to communicate with them so this issue can be sorted out, and to advise them to coordinate with us as well so their requirements can be submitted."

I'm facing myself in the same situation, money locked on freelancer forever.
also sent Linus C. of Freelancer.com a mail with not much hope.
What can it be done about this? This is absurd! They are a registered company, any legal actions?

Hi Linus. The money were obtained by winning an arbitration. The milestone is in my account but you are not releasing them. Why?
I have won the arbitration!
Don't make me search the site for terms and conditions of the milestone payments and disputes and especially where it says that disputes are final!
I'm not some guy who just registered and makes a big deal because of 10$, I am one of the users that have big working history with more than one hundred projects completed on vWorker and freelancer. You are picking the freelancers with some history in this business.

My account also has been closed with 1900 USD worth of milestones from our clients. Plus $500 worth of withdrawable funds... they closed our account without notifying us the reasons why. this happened twice already. at first they froze $300 worth or funds from us, their reason is that, we are not verified. after we verified the account still our money was frozen... now the second time, they scammed us again... For all freelancers out there. Be careful with your money... Don't use freelancer.com.. they are scammers.
