FreeShipping.com charged $12.97 without any reason

I have been charged $12.97 by this outfit but I have no recollection of subscribing to anything t. I paid complete amount using my credit card when I purchased the items online. This is the only way they could have got my credit card number. I am not sure why the amount has been deducted by "IC *FREESHIPPING.COM [protected] CT". The only information I have is the name of the website that took the money from my account on 10/03/16. Please refund me my amount without any delay. My email id is [protected]@rice.edu Thanks

FreeShipping.com unauthorized credit card charge

I have been charged $12.97 for three months (total $38.91) and I never signed up for "Free Shipping." I have ordered online recently I don't know which online merchant this was attached to or I would notify them. I have disputed these charges with my bank. Thanks to everyone who posted about this - it is helpful and I will be calling them:

FreeShipping.com unauthorized credit card charges for 9 months

My credit card has been charged $12.97 monthly by IC*freeshipping.com from December 2015 to August 2016. Within 9 months, the total amount of charge is $116.73. I don't know why I started to be charged at all! Note that many people have been experiencing this issue, so there might have been a scam that made you get trapped unknowingly.
I would like to be refunded all the charges. Please contact me to complete the refund.

FreeShipping.com "internet shipping subscription service" scam

I just discovered that I have been billed $12.97 per month by ic*freeshipping.com since november 2011, so well over $700 at this point. this "subscription" was never authorized or utilized, and evidently arose by way of a "hook" planted by this disreputable organization on a vendor website. I intend to pursue this matter with the office of connecticut's attorney general, ct's dept of consumer protection, and the state's bbb. I called their "customer service department" but, as one would expect, got nowhere.

FreeShipping.com unauthorized credit card charges

Yes, I ordered a Russell Peters tee from Free Shipping.com There is no problem with the shirt at all. However, there is a catch... FreeShipping.com tells you that you can get your shipping charges credited back to you and fill in your information. I did. So, did I get the credit they said I was going to get? NO Instead I get billed for $17.42

This is not cool. They are going to charge this each and every month... imagine all the people they are doing this to and they aren't aware of this monthly charge.

I am glad I look at my monthly bills.

However, they tell you they will get back to you within 24 hours. I waited for several days and still no response. So, I am writing here to hopefully get a faster response.

Hey there,

First off, I apologize that no one has gotten back to you about your inquiry and I am sorry that there was confusion regarding our site. I’d love to help you resolve this issue right away and explain who we are and how our site works.

FreeShipping.com is an online shopping site that offers members 10% cash back on purchases, free shipping and free returns, price protection, exclusive coupons and more ways to save online at over 1, 000 top retailers. At sign up, we offer new users a 7-day free trial to check out our site and get a feel for how it works. Directly above where you enter your credit card information, there are details regarding the nature of this offer. This statement reads that if you do not cancel your membership with us during your 7-day free trial period, you will automatically become an active member. Our members pay a monthly fee of $12.97 to access all of our savings benefits.

However, the amount of $17.42 is not a fee that we charge, so if this is the amount that appears on your statement, it could not have been from us. I’d love to help you figure out what happened here and if you’ve signed up with us in error, I can surely assist you in cancelling your membership. Please send me an email with your email address and zip code at jbuttrick@freeshipping.com, I’ll be sure to respond right away. Thanks so much!

FreeShipping.com scam

I have been using FreeShipping service for several months now and they charged me without my notice. I found out about that only recently when I checked my bank statement and saw that someone fraudulently charged $13 each month!
Contacted my bank and was told who was responsible for that.
FreeShipping cancelled my membership but they refused to refund the money! There was nowhere told about any membership fees when I signed up! Scam!

FreeShipping.com charged $12.97 for no reason multiple times

I have just realized, that a bill was posted on my account for $12.97 from pos debit ic *freeshipping.com [protected] today, but hasn't officially went through yet. it is still a pending transaction. so I started doing research and realized that this money is being taken from my account every single month, between the 25th-31st of each month. and it is the exact amount of $12.97. this is absolutely ridiculous, and I do not understand why it happened to me? is it because I have ordered stuff online or what? everything I pay for online is a full payment directly out of my account. I will tell you every single date $12.97 came out: june 28th, may 31st, april 29th, march 30th, february 29th, and january 25th. I am super confused as to why it started in january at the beginning of the year? all of these payments came in between when I get paid for work, and when I make my bill and credit card payments. my email is [protected]@yahoo.com and would really appreciate to be cancelled from this account, and receive all of my money back. there is no reason I should be charged through this website, because I have never used it. thank you!

FreeShipping.com account got cancelled by them with $400 cash back unpaid

Be careful with this company, they only mail out the cashback to you once in a quarter, I have accumulated about $400 cashback in a quarter and I have paid membership fee each month, then at the end of the quarter, they informed me that my account has been cancelled because someone else has signed up another account under the same address at the end of quarter, and they said that they would not pay me any of $400 cashback, I have sent over 10 emails to them to dispute, but they insisted that they would not pay the $400 and they couldn't give you a good reason for it.

FreeShipping.com I was automatically signed up for free shipping

I ordered some items online and my order was shipped with FreeShipping. When I made my order I had no idea I was automatically signed up for FreeShipping service! When I realized I was charged it was already too late. And now I have no idea how to cancel my so called membership! They took my money and they will continue doing that! I was unaware I was signing up for this service because I purchased from a completely different website. Terrible!

FreeShipping.com unauthorized money being taken from my checking account monthly for $12.97.

I just discovered this company has been taking money from my checking account without my knowledge. I went to my bank to find out why this money was being taken out. I was given a phone number. I called it to see what it was. I was told that I had joined or subscribed to this when I ordered from Kohl's in November 2015. I never knew anything about this. This was the first time I ordered Christmas gifts online. Kohl's had sent different emails that if a certain amount was ordered that it would have free shipping. I never saw anything about this and I for sure would not sign up for something to be taken from my account. I had tried to order from Kohl's for days, but it would not go through using my Kohl's card. Finally, I used a debit card and it went through. I was supposed to get money back from Kohl's for the amount I ordered. I did not get that, and now I find out about money taken by this so called, falsely called, "freeshipping.com". I am upset. I do not ever want to order from Kohl's again, but I haven't. It was only before Christmas. I have shopped in the store and I like Kohl's a lot. Only, now, I don't know. I want all the money taken to be paid back. Since I did not agree to anything and did not see anything to agree to, this is crazy. Why would I order from Kohl's and agree to pay $12.97 a month for free?shipping? I would not have ordered anything at all.

FreeShipping.com fees

I was directed to this site when I purchased a gift online. When I signed up there was no indication that it was a "free trial" and that there was a membership fee. i only found this out after checking bank account to see there was a withdrawal from this company for $12.97. I requested a refund explaining that I was unaware of this membership and I wanted to cancel this "membership". I was emailed back about this issue. First email was them cancelling account. The second email was apologizing for the fee but I would not be getting a refund back.

FreeShipping.com unauthorized credit card charges

According to my historical file of credit card transactions I have been charged $12.97 every month since 07/03/2014 and probably before for a total of over $259. In September 2014 I called to request cancellation which was confirmed by the representative.
Apparently this is a scam, because I have received NO Services, rebates, refunds or other remuneration.
I note that there are many similar complaints for this company.

Without an immediate refund, I also intend to notify the BBB.
If you can provide me other alternatives or actions, they would be appreciated.

FreeShipping.com unauthorized credit card charges

To whom it may concern,

I was unknowingly charged the cost of $12.97 a month for the past two months without my knowledge, or consent for recurring payments through my bank account. I just called customer service, March 3, 2016, to have my membership cancelled and to be refunded, although the representative told me all she could do was terminate my membership.

The charge listed as "IC freeshipping com 800" is stated on my account, and clearly I am extremely disappointed with this service. I expect to be completely refunded, as I was unaware of this unethical business taking place.

Thank you,
Ashleigh Hughes

FreeShipping.com unauthorized credit card charges

$12.97 was withheld from my credit card from the above named website on 2/16/2016. I am not sure why the amount has been deducted by "IC *freeshipping.com [protected] CT". The only information I have is the name of the website that took the money from my account on 2/16/2016. Please refund my account without any delay.
I did not subscribe to any company that would be charging me a membership fee to secure free shipping for doing business with other companies. Please remove this charge made to my credit card account on 2/16/2016. Also, please do not make any further charges to my credit card from this company.
I don't think it is right that I need to take these measures to reverse a charge to my credit card that was done completely unethically!
Thank you for your help,

Phillip E. Webb
