Frigidaire horrifying experience

Two years ago I purchased a Frigidaire Electrolux Galary Series Front Load washing machine.
As of a week ago, my washer stopped working due to what the error code read as a broken door lock. Upon notifying the company, I was informed that because the part I needed was on back order I had two choices. First, sit back and wait for the part or, accept a 60% rebate check to go purchase a new machine.
After thinking this over, I decided that 60% was unacceptable as I bought this washer in good faith that it would work for some time. I called the company back and after explaining my stance on the situation I was put on hold. Shortly after the operator came back on and said the part was there and I would receive it in three days.
Monday I received the part and it had nothing to do with my washing machine or its problem.
When I called the company for the third time, I was told the part I needed would not become available until February 6th. I was then offered another rebate for 70%.
Again I explained to the person on the other end that I do not feel I should have to spend 30% on a washing machine that I just bought 2 years ago. How is this fair?
He put me on hold for a while and returned with a list of three local handymen and told me I could try to get one of them to come over at my expense. However Electrolux would purchase the part if one of these men had it.
Later in the day, I called the company a fourth time. This time I was calling to find out how to override the test mode because I was told by a couple of other unsatisfied consumers that it may get the washer going.
Please understand, I have an 8 year old daughter and an 11 month old baby. Going to the laundromat with two children in tow is horrifying especially in the winter which is why I bought a washing machine 2 years ago.
After asking for the override information, I was put on hold and passed around 7 times until I finally insisted on speaking with a manager.
That is when a lovely gal named Tiffany came on the line. She offered me a $200 refund check for my laundromat troubles which I thought to be fair. She then said she had found the part and was going to overnight it to me. She had to double check for this and later in the evening she called me back to say she was successful in getting the part I needed.
Easy to say I was thrilled.
Today the part arrived. When I opened the box, there sat a large black oven door handle. Am I to assume I was being asked to beat my washing machine with it until it worked?
I called Tiffany and left her a message. I also called the company again and found myself back at square one, being told I am expected to wait what in the end will be a total month to fix a simple door lock issue on my washing machine.
$200 does not even come close to the costs this will incur.
Tiffany never returned my call.
I am going to summons whomever I have to in order to force the company to recall this product. After all, if this door lock is on such a long back order due to high demand, wouldn't that be a red flag insinuation that perhaps there is a serious problem here?
And why is this company getting away with all of this? From what I have seen so far, there are a ton of complaints regarding their customer service and accountability.

I bought my Electralux washer dryer set & have hated it since I bought it. I have to have the repair man clean out the pump 4-6 times a year. The rubber seal in the opening is full of black mold and I now have a hole in the tub of the washer. The dryer squeaks and the whole set is worthless. I have only had it for 2-3 years. I thought I was buying myself a gift not a money pit. The repairman told me to replace it. "Not worth fixing" Just lovely.

Frigidaire range oven design flaw

To:
Robert e. Cook, ceo
Frigidaire home products

Mobile, al [protected]

Dear mr. Cook:

It's really frustrating when you spend hard-earned money on a product, and then this happens. I'm referring to the durability with frigidaire home products and i'm hoping you can do something about it. Frankly, i'm very upset over this matter, and how frigidaire has not provide even adequate customer service to an appliances that I purchased and warranty for.

I own a frigidaire, model# fes366ecb slide-in electric range that was purchased september 2006. At that time I also purchased an extended warranty. About a year later, I contacted the warranty department regarding spillage lines that has dripped down in between the glass panels of the oven door. The way the range is made, which I feel is a defect in the design, allows for spills to seep from the top of the stove down from the control panel and lead to the inside oven door where the vent are located. The vents are in the top of the oven door and allows easily for spills to enter in between the glass. There are several permanent stains that are visible and unsightly in the glass of the oven window.

The lowe's service advantage (Warranty) department did come out to repair the problem but was unable to remove or replace the oven door. They advised me that this was not a condition that needed repairing under the warranty therefore I should contact frigidaire directly. I then contacted the frigidaire customer care dept. And have been talking with them periodically without a resolution to this problem. I recently went back to lowe's and asked them for their support working with frigidaire to resolve this issue that first brought to their attention approximately two years ago.

The response I received from frigidaire customer care was that they would provide me instructions in order that I could take the door off myself and clean between the glass. I told them that was an unacceptable solution to the problem. I just wonder how many customers do they tell to resovle the problem themselves by taking the glass off. That equates to telling me to take my car door off and remove the window, which is also impossible. I went back to lowe's and they decided to send two repairmen out to remove and clean the glass. They were unable to remove one part of the glass that has a double panel where the spillage lines occurred. They went back and recommended replacing the door, which lowe's reported they were unable to do. I recently called the customer care dept again november 20th (Around that date) and asked to speak with a manager. I was told there was no supervisor or manager available at this time to speak with me and I was given a reference number that a manger would call be back later. It is now at least a week later and no one has returned my call.

So now, to sum things up, I still have a glass oven window with spillage stains that are unsightly and the result of a poor product design. I noticed in the store on newer models that the vents are now on the outside of the oven door and no longer in the top of the door.in the meantime, I have spent my hard earned money for a product and a maintance agreement and the product is faulty.

Here's what i'd like to see happen now: have the door replaced or provided another stove that doesn't have this type of problem. I've spent two year periodically calling and trying to resolve this matter. I really hope that this issue can be resolveed because it will determine whether I buy any other frigidaire products or give my network of friends a good review of your products.

I would appreciate hearing from one of your executive so I know that complaint might be heard by the appropriate persons. Please respond to this complaint as quickly as possible.

Sincerely,
[protected]@ctc.net

Frigidaire frozen water line & produce - design defect

Electrolux EW23CS65G SXS Wave Touch Counter Depth fridge re-occurring problems with no solution from manufacturer.

Problems: In-door water line freezes solid and meat & produce keepers cause contents to freeze at factory recommended temperature settings.

6 service calls, 2 new Replacement fridges, 1 new replacement freezer door with no solution from Electrolux or Vendor.
1 yr later and lots of frustration, they still deny there is a problem.

Not good future for this new product line at a high price.

I have the EW23CS65G SXS fridge as well and just discovered a big rust spot on the back of the fridge behind where the ice maker is. The warranty specificaly excludes rust, even on the cabinet. The spot that is rusting is cold to the touch so there must be some insulation issue. The fridge is only 8 years old, was expensive and now is off to the junk pile because Electrolux takes no responsibility and the repair people say it can't be fixed. I just scrapped a dishwasher bought at the same time as the fridge (2009) because the control panel died. That was after having to replace the door seals ($500) because they were leaking when it was only 4 years old - poor design had the wheels of the bottom rack running over the rubber seals. I say AVOID ELECTROLUX MAJOR APPLIANCES!.

I have an Electrolux Wave Touch refrigerator that we bought 1 year ago. We have had continual problems with the ice maker and I never noticed the white plastic particles in the ice before I read this comment. I test the ice as described in the comment and discovered that we have the same problem. This is very alarming. I wonder if there is any solution? We have had every part of the ice maker replaced with new parts, so it may be that there is no solution.

I have an electrolux wave touch fridge and it's a real problem. Not a cheap appliance I thought I was buying semi top of the line appliance. Buyer beware this fridge is bad for your health. You may not notice this but the ice despenser despenses a little more than just ice. It flakes some plastic with the ice, and you would not even know it. I just happen to come across it. I have filed many complaints had the ice dispenser replaced three times. Finally the vendor gave us a new fridge, well wouldn't you just know it it has plastic in the ice as well.
This is a real health hazard. We noticed it right away with the ice dispenser but not that it would be in the ice itself. my kids have been using the ice for a few months, and I thought the problem was solved. Now again notice it's not, it's in the ice. I think this is a real health concern. Please check your ice carefully, let it melt you will see the particles of non melting plastic in your water.

the water seems to be clear of any plastic flakes but not the ice. check this out, and make sure you let the ice melt in a clean clear glass.

Frigidaire gas range

We purchased a Frigidaire freestanding gas range from Lowe's in October 2007.

In September 2008, I was wiping the white porcelain cooktop with a sponge and noticed shards of white porcelain on my sponge. The cooktop started to peel. I had an extended warranty from Lowe's and caled them. They told me I needed to deal with Frigidaire/Electrolux because it was under warranty.

I called them and they had me pick from three service companies and I made an appointment with one of them.

By the time the service man came, I noticed that the grey, porcelain coated iron grates were chipped, too.

The serviceman agreed there was a problem in the manufacturing process and called Frigidaire. They told him it was a cosmetic issue and not covered by their warranty. He left. I fumed.

I called Frigidaire/Electrolux and spoke to their joke of customer service department and gave up.

It is a year later, I'm still fuming. The grates and top are so badly chipped that I dread wiping the stove down.

We spend 6 months a year at our vacation home, my husband and I are empty nesters and don't feel that we are rough on our appliances. Never, ever could I recommend a Frigidaire/Electrolux appliance.

Frigidaire bad customer service and machine

I have gone through the worst expreience with frigidaire. I cannot believe that in this day and age a company can get away with being so pathetic in customer service, technical support and in the production of their appliances. One month after getting a brand new washing machine which is still under warranty - it stopped working and the customer service of both the manufacturer and the technicians is so bad. They don't speak directly to each other so you have to be the go-between for them to coordinate them getting the spare part and the technician coming to your house to fix the appliance.
They have come to our place over 7 times and still haven't fixed it. They refuse to refund the amount or replace it...they just keep sending more technicians who I think are as useless as the machine is.
I wish I had read these comments online before getting any frigidaire appliance.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. Not only does the machine break but you will have to spend months dealing with incompetent customer service, technicians etc. I wish they would just come and take the bloody machine away!
Naila

Frigidaire does not care about the customer, confirmed today! About six months ago we purchased professional series fridge, oven, microwave and dishwasher. The dishwasher leaked all over the wood floor two weeks ago and we called for service which was scheduled for last week between 8am and 5pm. The service person never showed up. When I called to complain they scheduled another appointment and assured me that someone would be here between 9 and 11am today. Again, nobody showed up so I called Frigidaire again and talked to a service manager. She could only offer me another service appointment.

Forget it, I'll replace all the Frigidaire crap and go with a customer focused company.

We bought our "top of the line" Frigidaire Gallery Series washer in 2000 with the extended warranty. I am on the FOURTH washing machine replacement. At every turn, the Frigidaire (Electrolux) customer service has been deplorable. From arguing with me to taking as long as three months to agree to replace the machine after multiple fixes did not work - technicians that put holes in our wood floor and outright lies when I was told my stackable Frigidaire Gallery Dryer would easily fit with the replacement washer, which it did not. Everyone should steer clear of this company. The fourth machine is less than a year old and it shuts off in mid wash cycle. Not only is the customer service terrible, the machines are crap. My home has no children, just two adults. Further, I have an apartment size washing machine that we purchased in 1998 that has only needed service one time - because I ripped the drum. Since we have two units, the Frigidaire is used for 1-2 loads every weekend. How ridiculous is this that it fails so easily?

Frigidaire it does not suck, it blows

I bought a electrolux vitesse vacuum cleaner on 21.08.2009, from house and home, centurion, product no [protected], for r1099-00. I spent more than I intended, as I was looking for a vacuum cleaner that would really work well. I then discovered that the vacuum does not work as promised. This vacuum has the selling point of being suitable for pet hair, and hard and soft surfaces, all of which I have.

When I started using the vacuum recently after moving into my new house, I discovered that it doesnt lift pet hair off the carpets, and if used on a hard surface, it blows dust, pet hair and everything else all over the place.

House and home has a seven day money back policy, but as I have only recently moved and started to use the vacuum now, they will not exchange for something that works.

House and home are prepared to repair this product for me, but I don't want it repaired, as it is not broken! I want the vacuum replaced by a different model or brand. Anything that works to pick up pet hair and dust from hard and soft surfaces as was promised by electrolux

Hoping to hear from you soon

Frigidaire excellent service from electrolux

Unfortunatly I bought a refrigerator from Electrolux ER 37 on 23-09-06 from Kohli Digital Home [protected]) & this monday 28-09-09 i lodged a complaint at Kohli Digital Home & he told me it will be repaired on 1-10-09 & somebody from the company has visited my home but just for the sake of visit.Next day i again called up but they told me to speak with servce center with Mr. Raj Kumar @ [protected] & he send one boy at my home in the evening & he tool almost 3 hrs & charged 700 from me & have given me receipt of Standard Services After that we are just following that boy & Mr. Raj Kumar who is claiming that he is service head of Electrolux but have not get my refrigerator repaired till now.
Today again i called up Mr Kohli & i got a very good reply YOU PAID ME & I HAVE GIVEN YOU REFRIGERATOR NOW YOU SPEAK TO SERVICE CENTER I AM NOTHING TO DO WITH IT.
It is really mindblowing & fantastic service from Electrolux & i hope electrolux have told their dealers to give this type of reply to their customers.
Now i have only one option left with me either change the refrigerator or get it repaired from outside but the whole story have given me a lesson think 10000times before buying anything from Electrolux.

Frigidaire could not fix my refrigerator while under warranty

I bought a Frigidaire side-by-side refrigerator from Lowes cost about $1000.

It came with a 1 year warranty, within 2 weeks the flapper that that covers where the ice comes out fell out of the door.

I contacted Lowes and got the name of the local service co. that does Frigidaire repairs.

The company Bryants app. repair sent a man out 4 times in a 8 month time frame, each time I called it was always a 2 to 3 week wait! This was all for the same problem.

When the warranty ran out i was scheduled for the 5th service call for the original problem, remember this had been broken after only 2 weeks of ownership.. I was told no problem they would do the last service call under the warranty..

BRYANTS WERE A NO SHOW !

I contacted Bryants, they told me i wasn't home when the repair man called my house.

I had taken a day off work and was there waiting on them.

I contacted Frigidaire and was told not to worry they could and would fix my unit.

After months of calls and emails I have given up trying to get the hole in the freezer door fixed.

I now have a $1000 paper weight

side note: During this time Frigidaire was trying to sell me an extended service plan that came with a fix it or get a new 1 clause... only $400

BEWARE IF YOU GO WITH FRIGIDAIRE IT DOES NOT COME WITH THE STATED WARRANTY.

I've had my washer serviced 4 or 5 times. I called them again and when they came out I thought they had fixed it. I went to use it and I noticed the panel on the door looked different and I wondered what they had done.Well when I used it it wasn't fixed. I looked at the paper I had signed and it said "will submit. " I called the service people and asked what that meant and they said they would submit it to the company. (I have a warranty. I bought one when my first one went out and bought another one when that one ran out. It's good till April 2014) So I called the company and asked what the deal is. They said my machine don't have the sticker on the door with the model number etc on it. That's what I noticed was different about the door. The service man had removed my sticker therefore voiding my warranty. He has done nothing but gripe about having to work on my machine since the first time he came. The time before this one he broke a drill and acted like it was my fault. He told me I did not need a warranty since I bought the machine in 2005. But I do have a warranty and showed it to him. If that sticker was not on my machine why did they work on it 4 0r 5 times already? This man took it off because he did not want to fix my machine. And then to sneak out the door with me thinking it was fixed because I did not look at the paper I signed. If the sticker was not on my door why didn't he mention it before he left. Do not trust anyone. No one will ever work on anything in my house without me standing watching from now on. That's one way to get out of honoring a warranty.

Frigidaire catches fire

My Microwave oven caught fire while using the baked potato auto sensor setting on the microwave. The food/compartment area started on fire and flooded my home with smoke. My first round with Electrolux Corporation Customer Service, the CSR chastised me for using paper towel in the microwave (see user manual page 6 on paper toweling and the endorsed use thereof). The next phone call was to Frigidaire, which said the accident was due to my not purchasing an extended warranty agreement. I made some progress with second supervisor. The company offered to have an authorized dealer come out to service/replace parts (due to the sensor failure which caused the fire) at Frigidaire's expense. An authorized tech did come to my home and declared all parts fixable except the interior box. Since one of the parts requiring replacement (the compartment, scorched, discolored) is not available for replacement; Frigidaire is offering me a 60% rebate (customer penalty 40%) on a new unit. The company has fully conceded to paying for replacement parts and the labor to fix the microwave, Unless!- the parts are unavailable. The unit is trashed on the inside, but because the part is 'unavailable' and the unit is out of warranty, I am stuck with a torched microwave oven. The microwave reeks, the sensor panels are scorched and the Electrolux Corporation identification plate inside the oven is scorched beyond recognition. I am lucky my house didn't burn down. This product is not safe. Frigidaire is more interested in blaming and punishing the customer for parts unavailability than fixing a problem. Frigidaire has reneged on an agreement to provide parts and labor to fix my microwave oven.

In dealing with Frigidaire's Customer Service Department; it sounds like there is a huge party going on in the background. The CSRs stick to a script and insist that if a part is unavailable, too bad for the customer. The CSR's are very limited in their abilities to manage serious consumer concerns, however, in fairness to them, limited by Frigidaire to proactively see a problem through to resolution. The worst part of their representative's behavior was saying (though they admit liability) I should go after the dealer for total replacement, not them. I am standing by to hear from Electrolux Corporation as well as from the Liability Department of Frigidaire. Frigidaire and Electrolux both are the subject of a Consumer Protection Agency report filed last week. BBB contacted 9/21.

Can't believe it's 2019 and this problem is still occurring. Put a potatoe in the oven on a plate and used bake potatoe button. Next thing I know my fire alarms are screaming and the house is full of smoke. The baked potatoe was on fire. The microwave no longer works and the house stinks of smoke. Won't be buying another Frigidaire product no matter the cost.

Same thing happened to us yesterday. Used the baked potato setting and guess it never shut off because when my wife returned to the room, the microwave was on fire and the room was filled with smoke. The oven won't work at all now. We're checking on our warranty as it is about 18 months old.

Our Frigidaire Model # FMV157GC has started running by itself several times. We are afraid of fire so have unplugged it. From the above comments it looks as though that the company is doing absolutely nothing about it. They will when a house burns down with people trapped in the fire. Definitely not buying Frigidaire again.

Same thing happened to us tonight. I had no clue that baking a potato on automatic would not be safe and we have done it nearly a hundred times. Now the house is smoke damaged and the mike ruined and we must replace it quickly. All of our appliances are fridgidaire galaxy as were our previous appliances. We only replaced them as we redecorated.
What is a safe microwave to buy?

I just happened to do a search for this problem and found these complaints. I should have searched when it happened to us last summer. In Oct 2013 we purchased a Frigidaire professional series over-the-stove microwave and had a potato catch fire. I had used it the day before to bake a potato with no problems and when my daughter tried to make one, it failed to shut off and the potato caught fire. The microwave has not worked since and I was thinking about replacing it with an identical unit since I was not sure that it wasn't operator error! now that I have found this I will have to re-think! Hopefully one of the other manufacturers will have a unit that will match since they all seem to use slightly different stainless.

My Frigidaire Microwave just spontaneously combusted a couple days ago. It was purchased only 2 years ago but is out of warranty so their customer service department offered me nothing. Her advice was to call one of three repair companies at my own expense. Wow. The model number is FFMV164LSA. Luckily we were home at the time and my daughter smelled something burning. Then I see actual flames in the microwave about 4 inches high. It was the turntable ring that had caught on fire and burned a hole through the glass too. Luckily we were home and caught it in time. If we were out, it would have burned the entire house down. Beware of this microwave and a company that clearly doesn't care. This is be my last Frigidaire purchase!

The same exact thing happened to us but we caught it before the whole thing went up in flames. We stopped the microwave and pulled the potato out and ran outside with it while the house filled with smoke. It permanently changed the color of the inside of the microwave into a yellow hue. It still works fine but the lesson here is NEVER to use the sensor for potato. Obviously this IS a problem.

Frigidaire faulty knobs

Although I have a warranty for my Frigidaire Gallery Commercial Heavy Duty Dryer Model GLGR642AS5 which is good until expiration date 2/14/11, I have had no customer support in getting replacement knobs for said dryer. After a lengthy phone call to Customer Service, I was sent the WRONG knobs. After a lengthy letter I wrote to Electrolux Consumer Services in Fletcher, NC, on December 17, 2008, I received no response whatsoever. I continue to use a WRENCH to turn on the dryer. Very poor customer service.

Dryer Serial No. is: XD53713783

Same problem as above. We have gone through numerous knobs. The hardward store where we purchased it charges us 25.00 each time we order a knob. On our 8th one. Do not by Frigidaire appliances!

Frigidaire bottom of stove just fell out

My Frigidaire Ceramic Stovetop fell apart the other day. Heard this huge bang under my stove. I have drawers there, so when I went to open my drawer it wouldn't open. I thought maybe a pan had gotten wedged. So, called for my husband. We found that the bottom of my stovetop had fallen into my drawer. I was in the middle of cooking, when I went to turn off the burners the knobs started coming off in my hand. My husband had to run to the basement and turn off the fuse to my stovetop. Very dangerous. When we looked closer at the stove we noticed that the bottom of the stovetop is just basically glued on. How is that safe? I ran to get my papers from where we purchased the stove. The warranty had ran out in May 2009, 4 months ago. I just bought the stove in 2004. So, basically it only lasted 5 years. Ths stovetop I had before this one lasted 20 sum years and was still working when we replaced it, because we were remodeling our kitchen. Went to Lowe's and they acted like there was nothing they could do since the warranty was up. But, we want Frigidaire to know how crappy there products are, along with consumers that are maybe thinking about purchasing a Frigidaire Product.

Frigidaire cheaply made products

I looked to see who else is having the trouble I have been having with this dishwasher, and I do see one person wrote in and I thought it was me that was writing it. This dishwasher leaves soap all over the bottom inside the dishes still have food on them it does not drain well and now today only 2 years to the date I had a repair man in here to tell me that something broke and he fixed it. What we pay for things is bad enough but to have to fix something after 2 years with hardly any use is a joke. I think the company knows the product is trash and the right thing to do is to listen to the consumer because they can knock a company right out. They will not go broke by fixing things for people they will only look better and have more people wanting the product they are selling but as for me I hardly used the dishwasher I am alone and hardly eat in? Then why did it break because it is cheaply made and a piece of garbage. I will throw this machine out if it breaks down again. If something is wrong write and let everyone know. We work hard for our money stop robbing people with your cheaply made products. Even if we did not pay a lot more for them they should hold up!

I agree with everyone that fridgidaire is a poorly made product, we built a new house in 07, bought our appliances thru Rex TV, upon arrival the box for frdge great shape but fridge inself had big dent in side close to compressor, sounded like R2D2 from Starwars.
It took 6months to replace unit only to be depressed again as unit would not properly function, told by repair company it needed a new control pad. Great I thought this would solve problem, now unit cannot be turned off because new control unit already failed again, plus freezer condences water down back of unit onto evaporator fan, I have to take apart and remove ice from fan, I am getting frustrated with fridgidaires junk.
Now lets talk about gas range, again a bad control pad, go to use oven, set temp, preheat, open door and presto oven shuts off. Not good when your in charge of T-Day dinner and don't realize ovens not on anymore. If I have to call them back again I will have dolly ready to push junk right out door. DONT BUY THERE JUNK!

Frigidaire oven

We purchased an oven, made by Frigidaire, that has a rusting problem on the steel door but even worse is that the door handle has unattatched from the oven several times!

In my opinion the screws that secure the handle to the oven are too short to keep it attached. This becomes dangerous because when the handle comes off, the layers of the door separate and sharp glass corners are exposed along with very hot surfaces.

You also usually lose your dinner because you have to wait a few hours for the oven to completely cool before trying to re-attatch the handle. It is also extremely hard to try and fix and, in the end, the repair does not last very long.

I have been very disapointed with my Frigidaire appliances and will choose a different brand next time.

Frigidaire refrigerator

My Frigidaire Gallery Series stainless steel refrigerator door is rusting. I have not found anything that takes the rust off. I was told by Frigidaire that because the year warranty had expired there was nothing they could do except refer me to a repair man. I Googled this and I am, by no means, the only person having this problem. I worked as a nanny in a home for several years that had a GE brand stainless steele fridge and the was NEVER even a spot of rust so I don't believe that this is normal or should be expected.

I would also like to add that we purchased an oven at the same time, made by Frigidaire, that also has a rusting problem on the steel door but even worse is that the door handle has come unattatched from the oven several times! In my opinion the screws that secure the handle to the oven are too short to keep it attached. This becomes dangerous because the layers of the door separate and sharp, glass corners are exposed along with very hot surfaces. Frigidaire my a/c is not working properly

Hi,

Myself Narendra Kumar Bansal, R/o A-1/279, Lawrence-road, Keshav- Puram, New-Delhi 110035 (INDIA), having some problem regarding the quality of Electrolux Products :
I have purchased one Air Conditioner on 05/05/2009, model no. EA18WCRFAI having Serial No : B82100715 & PNC No : [protected].

for last 14 days my A/C is not at all cooling, as its compressor is not working. I have lodge a complaint over here locally @011-[protected] vide complaint no. DEL2806090360 dtd: 28/06/2009. but they have informed me that we have to pay the service visit charges & bear additional charges as well. In this regard I would like to know then what is the use of warranty on Compressor ?

As this type of service (after sales) quality is providing by the Electrolux, who is going to purchase the Electrolux Items ? I am having two more A/C in my home (GENERAL & GODREG) from last 10 years, till date I have not faced any problem in that. But in the case of Electrolux, the compressor is down in just 02 Months (very poor quality).

Really its a pathetic product quality, I have ever seen in the corporate industry.

Regards,

Narendra Bansal

Frigidaire poor quality goods followed by arrogant and dismal after sales service

I purchased a top of the range induction hob with a new kitchen from a company called Esquadria Kitchens. The hob was distorted and when fitted had a gap between it and the worktop. Nobody had any idea about wether or not this is normal and it was left to me to find out. I tried the AEG website and found it impossible to send any type of communication to them. It is designed to deter rather than help.
Eventually I managed to speak on the phone with somebody in UK and was informed that the goods were definitely faulty as no gap should exist. Armed with this information I contacted the kitchen supplier who requested a service visit from AEG Electrolux. After some weeks the hob was inspected and it was agreed would be replaced. After a lot of chasing two fitters arrived with the replacement, not at 2pm as promised but at 7pm !. One of the fitters then proceeded to stick adhesive foam tape to what I could clearly see was the wrong part of the underside edge of the hob. I told him this was wrong but he insisted and we were left with A GAP BETWEEN THE HOB AND THE WORKTOP!. I now insisted on a visit from the boss of the kitchen company and AEG management. They arrived and without apology the AEG person promised to remedy the situation within one week. Needless to say we are now still waiting after two weeks. This awful company has no regard for any of its customers at any level and I can understand why they place a firewall between themselves and all those that are unfortunate enopugh to have to contact them. Take my tip, DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER BUYING ANYTHING FROM AEG ELECTROLUX, EVER.

Frigidaire rebate

I puchased a Frigidaire Affinity Pair (Washer and Dryer) in February 2009. When I purchased the washer and dryer there were two rebates offered. One for $50.00 and one for Tide HE and Bounce Free for one year. I submitted all the required information. The company, CMS, received and processed the information on March 31, 2009. I have received the $50.00 rebate. I have not received the Tide HE and Bounce for one year coupons. When you check the website everything has been processed and is just waiting to be mailed. I have called the number on the rebate form [protected]) to check on the status of the rebate which has now been 13 weeks, the rebate says allow up to 8 weeks for delivery. They can not give me any answers as to when the coupons will be mailed. All they tell me is that there was a greater demand then was anticipated and they are trying as hard as they can to get them out. I have tried to call Electrolux Group whose name is also on the rebate form, they are no help at all, they have no idea what rebate I am talking about. I have tried to call Frigidaire and they have no idea what i am talking about. If ayone can help I would apprecaie it.

I also purchased the affinity fridgidaire machine and it had coupons enclosed for tide products. The only problem was: they were all expired! I have been on the phone and emailing them and get a complete run around! Their customer service stinks! Plus, these fraudulent promotions to get us to purchase their products! Ughhhh! So frustrating!

I absolutely agree with what you are saying. I also purchased a Frigidaire Affinity W/D set and I have the same problem with my rebate... I did receive the $50.00, but not the coupons for the year free of bounce and washing powder. I like the washer and dryer, but I wish I would have purchased a standard washing machine b/c I am sure you have noticed that the clothes fall out of the washer, before washing, being that it is vertical and gravity takes hold. I find that part aggravating.

I purchased the affinity washer and dryer a couple years ago. They had a rebate then as well, I believe it was 100 in Gift cards.
I sent in info, waited...finally contacted them and was told it was being processed. I waited...then was told they never received my information. Then I dug out my copies a couple weeks later, sent them in and was told the program had just ended. RIP OFF...On to the washer, error codes if water pressure is low due to a flushed toilet...clothes often smell musty...machine is balanced but acts and sounds like it could launch in to space in spin cycle...often tears clothes and leaves a black rubbery substance on the tear...I can not afford a new one...and I can't afford hundresd of dollars in ruined clothes (it has already claimed at least a few hundred dollars worth). This is by far the worst appliance purchase I have ever made or heard of.
