The app is great, as long as you don’t need help
I like being able to use the app to check my child support balance and to keep track of my transactions. Every once in a while the app will get a little out of whack and I’ll have issues logging in, but that’s not a regular issue. However, I absolutely HATE, HATE, HATE never knowing exactly WHEN and HOW MUCH money will go onto my card at any given time. Please, if there is anything that can be done about that, it would be amazing! It’s really hard to set up regular times you can pay bills when you don’t ever know when your money will be in the account or how much will go in at any given time during the month. They used to give me about half the amount I’m supposed to get around the first week of the month, and the rest would go in a couple of weeks later, which I prefer. Now, it’s so random! Usually, all of the money will go in within the first week of the month, but it all comes in different amounts on different days, and it’s never consistent. It’s a constant guessing game. And if you have questions about anything like this, you’re not going to get any help from customer service, because they’re just as clueless as we are. I guess that’s what you get when you’re dealing with the government. Personally, I don’t think it’s asking too much to be able to see exactly when money will be added to my card and exactly how much I should expect to get. And yes, half every two weeks does work so much better than the entire amount at the beginning of the month, in extremely random increments, within days of each other. So, if y’all could get back to that, that’d be terrific! I know, it’s just a pipe dream, but one can hope that these reviews that you (Way2Go) have asked for are actually being read by someone with some kind of influence, and who actually cares about what their customers want/need. Otherwise, why ask for a review?
Purposely difficult
Its actually very disgusting how of all cards in the world, the most difficult horrible card is wat the government chooses as a option for people. The customer service is horrible, u wait forever and wen they finally pick up they disconnect. Other people have said the same so its obviously set up that way. If u forgot ur password, gud luck. Its extremely difficult to get back in. If u locked out ur account, gud luck. I recieved a message that said "Exceeded number of attempts, your account is blocked. Please contact your administrator or wait until midnight to reset your account" and its like ive never seen any website that locks u out until literally the next day and even if u were to try to call "customer service" for help they will hang up. U have to call the main bank they are connected to since this is most likely jus a dumb prepaid card. The main bank is comerica. Also, if u do too many log in attempts on the way2go website u get blocked from the website as a whole and u have to use another browser or use an incognito browser. This is horrible and its a shame that people are purposely bein put thru hell jus to get some money. This is a horrible company that needs to be shut down for purposely makin things difficult. I cud not activate my card and wen i called the direct comerica bank they said someone messed up my birth date and i had to send docs to the identity people in the deo and no response for days still and theres no way for me or a phone agent to fix it only the identity people can. Purposely difficult. So basically if someone messes up ur account u suffer as if its ur fault even tho its due to someones idiotic mistake. Way2go is trash and whoever signed off for this to be the card for government payments is trash also. And i kno the way2go company knows how trash the service is yet im sure they wont do anything about it so this review might be useless. This company is nothing but a joke and the employees that work for way2go are a joke as well.
These people don’t deserve to breathe air
would give them zero stars. My wallet was stolen and I called them to report it stolen and it locked my online banking. I spent a week trying to get someone in the fraud department to answer the phone. I called 91 times. I held for over 20 hours. I finally after a week got someone at 05:32 this a.m. on the phone. She said it would take 3-5 hours. Nope 12 hours. Me and my son have been homeless because of the card being frozen. I have been calling and begging them every person I spoke with could have card less. I finally got an American guy named Phil on the phone. I repeated to him 7 times I did not have the card it was stolen and was told they couldn’t ship to different address than what was there and couldn’t change anything. I only wish I was closer to San Antonio I would be standing in there lobby going postal. I told 60 of the people I spoke with how bad I needed that card and finally on my 89th call Phil was there to tell me I was FED. I really wish they would lose there job and their card be stolen only to be run around and strung along because you are desperate to get money because all you had was stolen. So yes I hate them and I hope they have a special corner in Hell.

This company defrauds by exploiting children
I have sent about 9 different requests for my ID that I set up 3 years ago before the app was available and after a couple weeks, I‘ve still not received a response. In order to access the app, I had to dig through my emails from 2018 to find data to actually use the app.
This company has hidden fees that they don’t give you in the mail and fail to include on their website. They advertise that they have a toll free number and you can speak to a rep for free, but they will charge you for simply dialing their number. After noticing unauthorized charges to my account, I was told that there’s a toll for the toll free number after 4 calls. When asked for the documentation of my alleged four free calls and the documentation of the fees policy, TWO reps including Robert in the fraud department were not only unable to produce the record of my supposed free calls and literature on company policy about this, but they completely REFUSED to give me this data.
Because of how rude and disrespectful Robert was in handling my request, I have serious concerns that this company is fraudulently exploiting child who rely on child support as well as unemployed people looking for work.
I was told that there is no fee to speak to a human. However, in order to even speak to a rep, the message requires you to give the last four of your card and your PIN number which automatically gives you your balance without a request BEFORE you are directed to an automated recording to request speaking to a rep. You are then charged for what they call a “balance inquiry” for simply trying to speak to a human.
According to Robert in the fraud department, there’s no charge to speak to a rep. So, this company literally forces customers to hear their balance and then charges a fee without disclosing their fee policies for the toll FREE number. It’s fraud. And they’re using innocent children to literally nickel and dime customers one calm at a time. I later discovered that this company charged me an additional fee for talking to customer service when there’s literally nothing in writing stating they will do this for talking to a rep.
I have filed complaints against this company with the FTC, ComplaintsBoard.com, FBI, my county and state Attorney Generals, my state Department of Human Services as well as contacted my county and state legislature representative.
If you want to ensure your child is not exploited for your situation or that you are not defrauded for being on unemployment, contact your DHS and request they give you a better option to receive payments. No state should be using the services of this unethical and fraudulent company.
I cannot access the app it says it has a bug on it its been 3 days of that. Also I need to dispute some transactions I had way more money than I do now something isn't right. When I checked my balance 3 days ago I had more than whats its saying either there was a unauthorized transaction or someone hacked my account.
Not sure why this system is still in place. Site never works. Customer service is no help! I should feel comfortable and be able to access my information and funds easily and it’s just not the case.

What a con!
Received this cars with my covid unemployment funds. I would have wanted direct deposit but apparently I have no choice. I go on the way2go website which tells me for no fee ATM to go to COMERICA bank. I didn’t even know where that bank was! So I take an Uber to the next town over and go to their ATM and they still charged me $3 PLUS $1.90 for a total of almost $5... on top of that, it only let me withdraw $300 maximum daily. I need to pay my mortgage so I need to get $1500 out which will cost me $25 and 5 separate days and transactions cause of the daily limit! NOW IS NOT THE TIME TO NICKEL AND DIME AMERICANS!
So I tried calling customer service and you can’t speak to an agent no matter what you press. If you press “zero” for an operator, it will tell you that’s invalid a few times and then it just says “goodbye” and hangs up on you
Was waiting on my 2nd month allotment. I look and it states im negative $77! What?!
Also, I know I have not gone over $1,290 that's my total for last month and this with the purchases. But when I call the automated it states there was a debit today in the amount if $500.00.
No such thing on the website.
I believe that either someone is using my card of something is up with the system.
I have 3 kids, no $, im hungry and still don't have my Ohio works 1st money. Nobody cares either. I've been crying all day.

Customer Service
I have had the best experience with my local employment service but when it comes to the customer service associated with the way to go card it is worse than any other I have ever had to deal with. I have called multiple times, waited on hold for over an hour just to be instantly hung up on every single time. They even charge you a fee when you call regardless of whether or not you speak to them. If you get cash at an atm, you are charged a fee, but with the way to go card your charged the atm fee plus an additional fee. I have worked in customer service my whole life. I take pride in how I handle people. I want them to feel so blessed when they walk away from me that they will come back again and again! I am not sure what country the way to go people are from but they obviously do not know the value in work ethic, customer service skills...etc!
Can’t get ahold of an agent ♂️♂️♂️
I’ve been trying to call every number possible, not sure if it’s because it’s after 5pm but customer service hours are not provided and searching to call mentions 24/7 just ridiculous, I’m trying to speak to a live agent and every time I call Customer service or technical support, it simply gives u menu options But NONE WHERE U COULD ACTUALLY SPEAK TO A LIVE AGENT and hangs up on u, this is so frustrating I’m trying to login my website account and can’t do so because it doesn’t recognize it, when I try to register says there’s already username with that account, doing this so I could at least speak someone through text but can’t even do that, for the life of there’s not even any information online on how to actually reach a live agent ♂️♂️ People need to pay their bills and this is what we have to deal with a Flawed system that doesn’t help

I’ve had the debit card for a few weeks, and I downloaded the app when I got the card. The keyboard didn’t come up as normal, and I kept tapping on my screen. After a while it came up but I couldn’t type everything and the keyboard went away again. Finally, after much frustration, the account says zero balance. I logged in again a few days later, only to find that my login info was now incorrect. It wasn’t. After one attempt I was locked out. Then I tried again and it kept making me go back to start. Zero balance. It appears there were no transactions. I think I might have two logins or one username and one login and maybe two of those picture identifiers. Then it said there was a server error and I couldn’t finish whatever... I called the 866 number and after being on hold for 37 minutes I had better things to do. This app needs MUCH attention.
Great banking app but terrible
The app is great but the service is horrible . My card is always getting hacked ! I can never talk to anyone on the phone. Then when you get a replacement card they make you pay for it ! This is the second time I’ve had to get a new card . I can never get my money back that was spent elsewhere and not by me . They need better security when it comes down to this card .Also I’ve set my alerts up to receive text messages for deposits and when my card has been used and I never get the messages ! If I didn’t know when my money hits my card all of my money would be spent by hackers ! I hate that I have to pull my money off of my card ! This is ridiculous! I even went through an investigation and they claim they couldn’t find anything wrong , even after I told them it wasn’t me in those states ! They did nothing to even try to give me my money back .
Contact the Better Business Bureau! 500 off my card today, negative $77 that impossible. I want my $ back!
This whole company is absolutely useless
Their website, app, and phone lines are ZERO help. I’ve been trying to transfer funds to my bank account for over a week. The website and app say there aren’t enough funds to transfer when there definitely are. Customer service is absolutely no help. They’ll tell you they’ll call you back (And charge your 5$ for the phone call) and they will never call you back. The website never loads properly and makes you re-log in several times and start completely over.
Their automated service asked me to press 1 to confirm my address. Immediately after pressing it says, “Okay, now to not deactivate your card...etc etc press 2”. Went from trying to figure out how to transfer funds and CONFIRM AN ADDRESS to almost completely deactivating my card out of NOWHERE.
I am so frustrated and annoyed. I’m not able to access the money I’ve received weeks after I’ve gotten it.
Money missing
I transferred money to main bank account as it’s the account where bills come out. I transferred money with the correct numbers, in the correct places and was given a confirmation number 2days later and said it would clear in 2-3 business days. I check my bank and nothing everyday. So I inquire to the bank with my screenshot of the cleared transfer and apparently it must have been sent elsewhere because my bank never got it. Now I’m out $1400, will be short on bills and won’t have extra money to get things for my kids like winter clothes that are much needed. Now I have to call the Way2Go customer service and pray they can find the money and give it back to me or something because I don’t know what else to do. I’ve transferred money many times between multiple banks and never had this happen. I am so unbelievably upset with this app or bank, whichever made the GIANT mistake. My kids will be so thankful.
Fraud
I’ve had issues with this new card service for over a year. Someone has gotten a hold of my number twice and continues to shop online with it and I can’t seem to get in contact with anyone to replace it.
The first time it happened they froze my account without me knowing anything had happened for two weeks and there wasn’t a way to verify any information until I received a letter via snail mail saying that there was suspicious transactions and suspected fraud. Well when were you going to call me, I asked, the response was we didn’t know if they should call so they sent a letter. Are you freaking kidding me, my email and phone number is listed for that exact reason!
It’s not like the child support I get is a substantial amount but for what it’s worth it is MY money and it seems that someone else is able to utilize the funds just fine shopping on a Military website, Target and other places. This is so SHAMEFUL!
I keep reading these same issues and I have never received my card and they told me I only had $90 in the account when I should of had a lot more but my card wasn’t even activated yet cause I never received it in the first place!
If I didn’t know any better, I would believe that someone in the company is selling your info or just using it themselves.. I mean how many people who have this card have had this experience and why does Customer Service ask you for your social security number in order to help you?

Most horrible company ever!
Constant fees, you sit on hold for hours and will disconnect. If you do talk to someone they will tell you they can’t handle what your problem is but they’ll put a “ticket” in to get it fixed. 1 year later and they’ve yet to correct my address. I had to pay to have a new card mailed to my “old address” 3 times because I never received it. Kept calling wondering where my card is, being told it was delivered and would be told my “old address” AGAIN! I finally had to drive the 60 miles to my old address just to get my card. It was easier then waiting for them to send a 4th card possibly with correct address and be charged another $20 for. Still waiting for those “tickets” to get reviewed from whatever department that you can’t be transferred to. No one has answers. Don’t know how this has lasted so long. They have to be making a mint off of all us and this is why this carries on, but HOW IS MY QUESTION? It’s CHILD SUPPORT!
I cannot access my online account or my one on phone even though got new card i never had to before so i do enter new card and it wont let me access still after 30 attempts to get thru to customer service im told that they need to send an email out on this.

Please do not bother with this company. Everything is fine until it isn't. It is way to hard to be reimbursed for fraudulent transactions. No one wants the run around to be reimbursed. Besides this crappy card doesn't even come with a security chip. Just get a Chime card and save yourself the trouble.
I've filed 2 fraud claims where money was taken off card have not heard anything back and got a new card and once again money is taken off new card and I try to see why money is missing and get no help at all thru the customer service line and money is still missing.. i want my money back and this shouldn't take 4 or 5 months
The entire program went offline, so I am unable to access my much-needed funds. Can't get in touch with a live person till Monday.
I can never get ahold of anyone
On October Wednesday, the 25th 2023 there was a purchase made on my card that I did not authorize from super popular products for $7.84. I did not authorize this. I am not sure what the charge is even for. I believe this is a scam.
Those company will not help me for over a year I have money coming off this card that is not spent by me. They will not answer me. They will not transfer me to customer service . It's completely fraud.
Do NOT use this card! They have the worst customer service that I have ever experienced. I got locked out of my account numerous times and didn’t have access to my money. When I called I couldn’t talk to an actual person. TERRIBLE!
