Hermes Parcelnet No delivery and lies

Wiated in all day for Hermes to deliver a parcel that was 'Out for delivery' no sign of parcel finally at 8pm at night they update their information attempted delivery at 10.51am complete lie 4 people in the house all day. Everytime Hermes are the courier their are problems they really are totally rubbish and any company that uses them should not be used. So Burtons menswear no more orders from me and I suggest no one else bothers to buy from burtons till they ditch this shocking courier as the only option of delivery

Hermes Parcelnet 3 cards left of? Attempted delivery of parcel!

As Above. A card stating that someone had called to deliver ?a parcel, has been left on 3 occasions. Today when one came I was upstairs and by the time I came down their was no sign of the courier. No details of any kind were left e.g.telephone no. or reasons for
not attempting to leave the object. I am unable to contact anyone about it. As far as I know, no one knocked at my door., but I heard the
card being put in the letter box today-13th May.
Sincerely, D.M. Coates (Mrs.)
p.s. I am unaware of what the contents of the parcel/post was but had to put a category in order to send this complaint about "Hermes

Hermes Parcelnet Broken gate

Courier collected parcel for returning, back to Pitch Tv, , because when the product I ordered arrived, it was broken and they only sent half, when I contacted PITCH TV after waiting on the phone for 30 mins, the woman said I would be refunded and Hermes would collect parcel, all went ok until courier was leaving, my garden and he forced my gate the wrong way, , , , , how he managed to do this is beyond my thinking has he had already walked through it once to arrive but I took photos of gate and sent them, , , , many times to Hermes by email, who would not compensate me, when I had to replace full gate at cost of £130, which I do have receipt for, they said I must go through Pitch tv to complain and they would then pass complaint on to them who would deal with it, refund came but short, from Pitch TV, they kept money back, , , WHY I do not know, , , , and I do not think I can do anything about it has, they have gone into administration, , so how am I suppose to get the money for my gate from Hermes, , my husband and I are senior citizens and to spend this money is difficult for us, we need to lock this gate at night has we are quite isolated at front of property, the photo which I took when my husband tried to fix old gate, , , with wood filler, I do have but is to large for me to send, also photo of new gate is same size but would send them both in a email if you so wished, the same has I did for Hermes I have all their emails who acknowledge everything but still say complaint has to go through Pitch TV Mrs Veronica Nevins, , , , , email address, , , , , , [protected]@gmail.com

Hermes Parcelnet Delivery to incorrect address not address on label

I had Ordered a New Xbox 360 Console from Amazon & thankfully I have a Good relationship with my Neighbours who Dropped it round to the CORRECT Address at 6.30pm on 03-04-13, but on the Amazon website it said it'd been Scanned by Courier at 2.19pm but I did NOT receive it then, the Issue I have is If I didn't have a Good relationship with my Neighbours, it'd have been very easy for them to say they didn't receive anything, also the Delivery Address was on A small U class road but between where it was Delivered & where it SHOULD have been Delivered is only 400yds to a Half Mile away! I mean its NOT as if it was Delivered by Foot, the Lazy sod only needs to drive a Short Distance to drop it where it Belongs! Simply NOT GOOD enough & nxt time I'm on to Amazon I'll b letting them know the Couriers they use are Hopeless, its a wonder they can tell their A**e from their Elbow!

Hermes Parcelnet No customer servce

I too have suffered My Hermes lack of service.

Contents of two of four parcels were damaged on delivery. My Hermes asked for photos and a claim form which I supplied and completed.

Since then I have sent numerous emails but had no reply.

I have not contacted the firm by telephone, as this would just be wasting more money on the problem.

Hermes Parcelnet Terrible delivery service

I ordered some clothes from http://www.mandmdirect.com/ and they were dispatched using Hermes.
According to my tracking information, they attempted to deliver on the first day, however no delivery persons were seen or heard, and no card was left. Then the next day when they re-attempted delivery the tracking information states "Delivered to Secure Location" at 10:30. I woke up at 11 and checked the front door for deliveries but nothing was found so I presumed no deliveries had taken place. I decided to walk to the local chippy at 4:30PM and walked out of my front door, amazed to see a large package sitting half-under a dead Christmas tree, and in a puddle of mud, water, snow and ice. Apparently the "secure location" they delivered it to was the dead Christmas tree outside my front door. I'm amazed it wasn't stolen in the 6 hours it sat outside next to a footpath, and glad since the items in the package were worth over £100.

My roommate has two packages today and yesterday. The courier saw my window open( ground floor, the window is at 2 meters high) and he just climbed up and threw the packages into my room like a bomb.

Hermes use a local courier to deliver parcels in our area, we are rural, however three times we have had trouble with them, they delivered late, told hermes they had delivered to us and got a receipt when they hadn't and they even threw our parcels at us in the street. one of our expensive parcels was left stuffed in a box at the end of our drive, lucky we went and checked! When we tried to contact hermes we had trouble getting in touch and it took ages for responses. They were disgusted with the self employed couriers behaviour yet we received no compensation and they have not been spoken too. We were informed we would have deliveries from another courier instead in the future...

I had a card put through my door on Saturday telling me no one was in so the Hermes delivery rep could not give me my parcel but would return on Monday. I thought this was strange as I was home. I waited all Monday and called asking what time I would receive my parcel only to be told I was wrong and it was already delivered to me. I asked the rep not to shout at me and to understand I did not have my parcel, again to be told I was confused and had received it. I was then told I was a blonde lady who signed for it. When the rep had finished telling me I was wrong I mentioned I am Asian and no one with blonde hair was in my house. The rep then stopped talking and said he would look into it and may return today as he had other things to do. When he finally arrived at my house he said he had delivered it to my neighbour who was a complete different number to my own and he said I was lucky he came to rectify the issue. I suggested he listen to his customers as they are always right, however, was told if I wasn't so rude to him and considered how difficult his job was and saw he had problems then I should accept what had happened. I went on to say I had paid for my goods and the delivery and did not expect to be treated so rudely. He went on to argue with me telling me he would not apologise as it was my fault. My neighbour then informed me he had tapped her door and then began writing a card saying she was not in as he attempted to deliver my parcel to her. She challenged her about this and he said he had waited 5mins for her when she said she had just walked from her kitchen to her front door which is a few seconds. I am absolutely discussed with the service I have received and to be shouted at and told not to buy online again so this service would not come to me on my doorstep is appalling.

Hermes Parcelnet No parcel recieved

I ordered a pair of boots on the 25th December from Dorothy Perkins, Dorothy Perkins dispatched on the 26 and I then received a text from Hermes saying I would get my parcel within 2 working days..my ###, its now the 7th of January and I have received nothing, not even a note through the door saying they had tried to deliver it. There's been someone at home over the duration and I haven't had one knock at the door. I called up the Hermes helpline and the lady said there is nothing they could do about it? absolutely ridiculous.

I have been waiting for a parcel to arrive to my house for weeks now, they cannot find it, i have the tracking number that i enter to find it hasn't been in the system awaiting delivery. I got on to investigation
team. They e-mail me telling that the parcel had gone to the wrong address, then i got on to live chat, and guess what no records of it being sent out, awaiting for delivery.. I cannot take much more of this, they are such idiots, i have had the runaround for weeks. How can a company operate in this way. They are a joke!.. BUNCH OF IDIOTS. I want my money back and compensation for the hassle i have had.

Hermes Parcelnet Delivery

Hermes is one of the worst delivery companies around if I had known they were that bad I would have reconsidered ordering . Waiting for a parcel for nearly two weeks apparently we missed the order which is strange as I was home all day I would have ordered from superdrug but the product I wanted wasn't available they are much better as they are with Royal Mail waiting one more day otherwise calling up headquarters see how much luck I get from that.
After this long rant don't order from them as you won't see your product again.

Hermes Parcelnet Won't deliver goods

Topshop use Hermes. Getting in touch with Topshop is also a nightmare. l paid a premium price for delivery on a Saturday. Hermes tracking said the item was 'out for delivery... out of this galaxy more like. Get a text message on Wednesday evening saying it would be delivered that evening? Still no delivery over a week later. Both Topshop and Hermes are rubbish. Avoid them if you can. Hermes just don't get the concept of good service... their web site is designed to avoid customer contact... lots of complaints maybe?. The only published e-mail address is the Data Protection Officer (a legal requirement). Genuine quality focused companies don't operate like this. It says a lot about a company that sets itself up this way

Hermes Parcelnet Aggressive unhelpful courier

I have had several dealings with my hermes courier. He is rude aggressive & unhelpful. The most recent being today. I rang the number Ithat was left on the failed delivery card to let him know that I would not be in before 2pm today for his planned next delivery attempt, yet he still came before this, ignoring my message. When I rang him & finally got hold of him after several attempts, I asked why. He then informs me it is my job to chase around after him & not the other way around. That he doesn't work afternoons & it was up to me to keep ringing until I get hold of him, & believe me I know from experience that he avoids answering the phone. Always pretends the line is cracking up or this time that it was a driving school number until I rang same number again & caught him out. He bacame very aggressive & abusive, as always. I have complained to readers digest about him, as he threw my cd over my locked back gate & smashed it. when I rang him 1st to ask why, he was immediately aggressive & abusive, hence my complaining to his employers. I was trying to be concilatory & make some arrangememt where parcels would be safe to leave when he hung up on me?

Hermes Parcelnet Non delivery

I'd just like to say Hermes have also let me down. Order placed on the 11th with "tvbracketsworld.co.uk" on a 2 -5 day delivery as I didn't get offered the chance of next day, even though they claim to offer it on their site.

Here's Hermes tracking info:

Date Time Status
20/12/2011 09:33 Courier Received
20/12/2011 05:49 Out For Delivery
19/12/2011 12:05 Courier to Re-attempt
15/12/2011 11:21 Delivered to Porch
15/12/2011 09:42 Courier Received
15/12/2011 01:08 Receipt at Depot
14/12/2011 13:01 Hub Sorter Receipt Scan
13/12/2011 06:08 Order Generated

If we had a porch that would have been something, but we don't.

I've called tvbracketsworld a number of times, each time they say it will be with me today, but it never has. They have now told me they will reship the order (not with Hermes) and recall the other shipment. I'll believe that when it gets here.

It's a total waste of time trying to talk to Hermes direct, they just tell me to talk to the company I ordered the goods with. I was also informed they don't have a customer services department and any complaints would have to be made in writing to their head office.

Capitol House, 1 Capitol Close, Morley, Leeds, LS27 0WH.

I will have had to wait in for 3 extra days, that's providing it is delivered tomorrow (21st).

Andy

Delivery arrived at 13.33 with DPD but they still managed to deliver it to next door not me. Well done to Richard at TVbracketworld for getting it sorted.

Dec 21, 2011 9:28 am EST

TVbracketworld have now reshipped my order, so far I've had 2 mails from the delivery company (DPD) and arrival time is 13.45 to 14.45 today (21st). If TVbracketworld stop using Hermes then I buy from them again, but if not I'll be giving them a miss.

My prcels reported to have been delivered with a picture of the parcels on top of the radiator said to be outside my flat. We were in all day and the doorbell was never rung and in any case the radiator pictured is not the one in use outside our flat - must be somewhere else. I get no satisfaction from e-mails etc.. Inefficent and very user unfriendly. E-mail enquiring why parcel not delivered answered by machine saying contact supplier. Telephone call to Leeds head office gets grumpy receptionist who refuses to connect me to anyone and tells mto speak to supplier, despite website tracking says 'out for delivery' 5 days ago. Suggest you use any other courier you can find.

after winning a ebay auction the seller said the item will be posted on the 17/8/11 and should be here on 20/8/11 its now almost the end of the 22/8/11. I contacted seller to ask what courier service she had used and asked for tracking number, after being to much to my horror it was hermes I knew I had a small chance of getting my item which was quite of value, I eventually got hold of a contact number for them called them 7 times before someone would answer to get told she will not discuss any info with me and to contact supplier. they told me they deal with thousands of parcels a day and if a few go missing then that's not bad! OMG I could not believe what I heard that's totally outrageous, that's as good as a car transporter delivering 6 new M5's to bmw and arriving with 3 and saying 'oh well 3 fell of somewhere whats up you still got 3 here'! I will be seeking and taking 100% legal action and have been in contact with bbc watchdog, rouge traders, ...etc.
they will get what is due! STAY WELL AWAY FROM THIS CHEAP DISORGANISED FIRM WHO COULD NOT ORGANISE A P*SS UP IN A PUB! I promise this courier will let you down if you use them. this is now my 4th issue with chasing items that conveniently go missing when they have a value of over £10

I have had nothing but trouble with HERMES! Don't even contemplate trying to contact them to complain because it falls on deaf ears. I have had several occasions to complain but when I do I don't even get a reply. A couple of weeks ago my husband ordered a book from Play.com and the courier left a card stating it was a Royal Mail delivery and that it had been left over gate. My gate is almost nine feet high, it had been raining all day so you can imagine what state the book was in by the time we got home, resorting to impersonating a member of Royal Mail, just not on, that one has been passed to Royal Mail for further investigation by them as they were shocked to see the card naming them as responsible. Placed an order with Evans last week and paid a premium for a delegated delivery day, that day came and went and so did the next three and still no sign of my parcel despite the tracking information stating that it had been received by the courier on the day it was due to be delivered by me. I would not have ordered from Evans had I known that HERMES were the carrier. They are shoddy, unreliable, rude (when you do manage to get in contact). They need to be shown for what they are, HERMES THE "NON" DELIVERY SERVICE.

I live in Berlin.
I ordered a delivery from Bon Prix and paid extra for 24 hour delivery. No body showed up at the house and my account had an automatic update that they could not find the address. I talked with both Hermes and Bonprix for 1 hour. Hermes told us first that if Bonprix tells them then they can deliver the package the same day. We did that and called back Hermes. The second time around Hermes said there is no way to obtain the package that day: Neither will the driver deliver it that day..nor can I pick it up at their delivery center...not possible for next two days.. And the Nobody Nobody in the company can contact the driver---I am not sure if someone should be in transport business if they lack the basic means to communicate to driver...The customer service at Hermes literally donot understand the world "service". These people are cheats..I would not buy from any shop that uses HERMES.

I returned home at 12:30 today to find a card from Hermes with a space written on saying "at the bach dool", which we took to mean back door. We found no package at the back door, front door, back garden or garage. I called House of Bath who confirmed that Hermes does their deliveries. They are sending me a letter to sign to confirm that we did not receive the package. I then called and spoke with Tracy at the reception desk in Leeds who equally refused to help. I took this route when I found they want me to call a 904 number which I have blocked from my phone. Between the vagaries of the House of Bath and the truly unhelpful Hermes receptionist I am livid. I have contacted my credit card company and am filing a formal complaint. I intend to write to Trading Standards here and the Office of Fair Trading in London along with The One Show and anyone else who will listen. I only wish I'd known of all the complaints before I ordered as I now find that House of Bath is owned by a company called J.D.Williams so we have landed in a nest of vipers. Needless to say, I am not amused! J. Harding, Newquay

Hermes Parcelnet Don't deliver

Every since Amazon have been using Hermes, I can pretty much guaranty that anything deleiver through them does not turn up!
Apparently Amazon started using this courier service a year ago and low and behold, thats when our deliveries staretd going awol. Its just so disappointing as, you're waiting for that delivery date esp. around christmas and on the day it's supposed to be here, you just get an e-mail saying that you have been refunded as your item has been returned .! Not cool.
I was annoyed with Amazon, as they're delivery was so hit and miss, untill I looked into it an saw that every time it was 'miss' was when they used Hermes...

Hermes Parcelnet Delivery and service

This company have no proper service, a parcel sent to you with them is in the hands of the gods, they do not update there online tracking system and hide their phone number, I found their phone number on another persons complaint, rang it and it hung up twice, when a girl finally answered she was very rude and unhelpful and couldn't give me any way of tracking the parcel, then she hung up on me when I asked to speak to someone else! This is a really bad service and unproffessional company and I would strongly recommend NOT to use it, use a slightly more expensive one like UPS who actually give a damn and have some service in place. Hermes are a disgrace!

I have tracked my order and it says that an attempted delivery was made on the 26th February it wasn't as I was here all day
there was also an attempted delivery today the 28th February it wasn't as again I was here all day
Now it says it will be delivered on the 3rd of March. If it isn't I shall be in touch with the company that I purchased from and ask them to send it by someone else.

An absolute disgrace; booked a three day delivery via Interparcel on 12th Oct 2011. Three days on and two days off work waiting, the collection hadn’t even happened. After several phone calls to Interparcel they accepted no one is taking THEIR calls or making contact?!?! Having worked many years as a logistics manager I now the setup fairly well; Interparcel are the Customer and I’m the third party collection. As no number is on the Hermes website, I have tried contacting them twice on e-mail without a response. I have just found a number for Hermes on this complaint and will carry on my plight. Although I don’t hold much hopes if they aren’t communicating with their direct customer. I would recommend to anyone thinking of using there services, not to. It isn’t worth the aggravation, and will cost you more in the long run on phone calls etc; that is only at the collection stage. In summary APPALLING.

Hermes Parcelnet Did not deliver, head office couldn't care less

How is it possible to lose a tracked parcel? I don't know and neither do Hermes, apparently. The tracking shows it was delivered on 24th December, but I was in all day and nobody called or left a card. I have spent around three hours - on an 0871 number, no less, which will cost me an absolute fortune! - to Hermes trying to locate my parcel. Each time the call centre operative has assured me they will chase it up and call me back but they never do. Two queries using the online contact form (31st december and 5th January) have gone completely unanswered. Attempts to contact the local courier have been made but they never answer their phone. My experience with Hermes and the abysmal customer service they have given has been so incredibly, willfully poor that I will be contacting trading standards and possibly a solicitor. Hell, if I could get it on Watchdog, I would - it really has been that bad, and this is simply not acceptable.
Oh and get this for a laugh - I have also tried to post this poor review on their site twice before and each time get an error message. Suspect? I think so. Just like my parcel having been tracked as far as the courier and then apparently disappearing in to thin air.
AVOID HERMES LIKE THE PLAGUE, and if you have to use them, don't ever expect your parcel to arrive or them to help you if it goes missing.

Both my sister and myself have had problems with the courier for Hermes. My sister has had to get the police to her on numerous occasions. She now does not even make an attempt to deliver our parcels. She picks them up and sends them back without even attempting delivery. She is a vile woman. We have tried contact with two field managers from Hermes but they do not answer or return our calls and trying to get a hold of someone in Heirarchy is a joke, its like the secret service.

Yes i have since found a decent delivery driver who has been very helpful with recent orders! Thankfully the drivers have better communication skills than HERMES it's self... Out of all the numbers I've rang regarding deliveries, i have not spoke to ONE polite person - and that's even before i start ranting on... This company really are making the drivers life's a nightmare! *treat them like robots by loosing parcels at the depot and blaming it on the delivery driver or overloading them with parcels and demanding it all delivered within the time of HALF THAT LOAD...
Oh, and i did have a parcel delivered DAMAGED and when i rang to tell them about it - they blamed the driver... never mind already being told that the warehouse location had moved, and some parcels got wet (and damaged) during the move... NICE COMPANY! :-D :-D :-D

Actually there are a lot of good couriers who work for Hermes. But they tend to lose their jobs if they have a day off or go on holiday. The field Managers are like Little Hitlers you dont obey you lose your work .then they have to find someone else to do the Deliveries and apparentley there is nothing you can do about it

Hermes Parcelnet Worst courier firm... Ever!

Hermes - I've used them almost 100 times this year to both send and receive packages. I won't be using them ever again and would advise everyone to give them a miss! This Is my experience of Hermes:

1) Very slow delivery! They state 3-5 days but frequently my customers would complain items took over 10 days to arrive!
2) They lose your items - Fair enough mistakes are made but when they lose them they really don't care. Don’t expect to see the item or even a full refund.
3) Their communication and customer service is dreadful. Seriously the worst i've received from a credible company.
4) It took Hermes 4 months to grant me a refund for an item they lost and they only paid half the value of the item as compensation.
5) It took almost 10 emails before I could finally submit a lost item form.
6) Their customer service agents frustrate you as they appear very poorly trained and completely unable to help with anything.

Ok so the service is comparatively cheap and as the saying goes, you get what you pay for... but in the case of Hermes actually you don't. What they advertise is a no nonsense, no frills, cheap carrier. What they actually are is a highly frustrating, highly problematic, slow, incompetant and unreliable carrier with abysmal customer service and no care for their customers or the items they carry.

I don't expect this business to last much longer, Its below amateurish and I advise you all to avoid like the plague!

I would be interested to hear if people have had similiar experiences? Or anyone that has had a positive experience please do let me know as I'm struggling to find any one who has a good word to say about Hermes!

Hermes are the worst delivery company by far. We had a message today telling us that they had tried to deliver at 10.40am. There were 3 people in the house no door bell or knock on the door by driver. We are in a small village in, North Norfolk, so if the driver only 1 drop he wont even bother to attempt delivery.

If a driver goes on holiday for a week they do not bother to replace said driver and every thing is over a week before it is delivered. I plead with companies not to use, Hermes but to no avail.

I cannot begin to say how bad this company is. The headline is do not rely on this company to deliver anything on time, if at all. Every time Amazon use this company it is a failed deliver with reasons given 'delivery attempted' or 'customer rescheduled' when neither are true. They provide no accurate tracking and will not phone you if they are having difficulty finding you. Their reputation amongst other courier services is as bad as it gets. I would avoid at all costs...

I now try and avoid any one who uses these to deliver parcels they are the worse by far, we have a garage opposite house approx. 10 steps from my front door where if not in every other company {must employ people with common sense } just drops parcels in there plus I put on note when ordering, but this lot obviously to difficult for them, just got card through door saying deliver Monday so they have to waste there time again as wont be here and if get another clown delivering prob just get another note, so thought ring them to explain this, rang number and added code on there note and surprise surprise there system down and just cuts you off so going to waste more time, before ordering any more parcels I'm getting confirmation they don't use these as had nothing but problems when they deliver and all other delivery seem to be fine so cant be coincidence

I sold a football shirt on eBay December 2015, it was a present for a disabled man from his mother and she told me she has searched for 'yonks' for a xxxl Arsenal long sleeved for her son.
The courier had a nervous breakdown with the amount of deliveries and dumped the load in a pond.
It took three (3) weeks for a refund and plenty of images of sale and they refused to pay for packaging cost's one (1) pound so PayPal gave me the pound.
I ordered from the best retailer in the world, Amazon.co.uk a book case, they (Hermes) said it was coming on the Monday, did not arrive, then Tuesday, did not arrive, then Thursday, did not arrive, Friday, the courier lied and said s/he attempted a delivery at 20:13 and no answer at door, well I was in my garden no more than two metres from the door (changing a security light bulb), my family were inside no more than three (3) metres from the door eating their tea and we have a very loud doorbell so I can hear it in the rear garden if pressed.
Just lies.
Today, a courier delivered a parcel, dumped it on the doorstep after ringing the bell, walked off and lied to Amazon.co.uk I had signed for it.
You cannot contact them by phone, they when you email them say, ''you need to email someone else''.
They have never compensated me for the days off and lose of earnings when they lied about the bookcase, they ignore everything.
I told Amazon.co.uk never to use them to deliver to me again.
Another thing, I once sent an item with the mass (packaging and item) one (1) point seven (7) kilos and they tried to charge me for two (2) point two (2) kilos.
I would love to upload the Amazon.co.uk tracking screen shot I took, but I feel it could get me into trouble.
Avoid Hermes always, is my moto.

Absolutely dreadful service from Hermes. Had no choose in using them as my items were ordered through an online retailer. The package arrived on the specified date but had a large slit/rip at the top and 2 out of 5 items were missing. The slit looked intentional and not accidental. This is not the first time I have had issues with them. In the past the item would take up to 14 days to arrive. Other packages have been damaged or left outside in broad daylight or pouring rain. And customer service are completely useless. Avoid using them at all costs.

I sent 3 packages through MyHermes to different addresses on Friday 3rd February.
All were sent with the Signed For Service.
One of the items was an expensive SSD Hard Disk.
The MyHermes Tracking System Showed that the Hard Disk package as:
Received by the recipient's local courier at 10:17 AM Monday 6th February 2017.
When I phoned MyHermes on Monday afternoon asking when that package will be delivered,
I was told the Courier had delivered it, but left it in the Yard.
At this point I complained as that was not the service I paid for.
This was a hard disk I had sold on Ebay for £650!
They said they would have to contact the courier.
Tuesday called back - still no call back - Escalated to the Field Manager.
Wednesday called back - Field Manager had not called back.
Thursday - Field Manager said even HE couldn't get hold of the courier!
Called Friday, and MyHermes tell me that the Courier said he never received the package!
MyHermes refuse to question him further, refuse to even ask him why on earth he waited 4 days to report he had not received the parcel!
Seems like even is the courier had made off with a £650 Hard Drive, they just accept his word that he never had it.
So the courier calls the MyHermes Tracking System a liar, and MyHermes believe him.
Now MyHermes wants to offer me a paltry £100 as Compensation!
Looks like I'm going to have to report this to the Police as theft, with MyHermes as a party to the theft through inaction, and take MyHermes through the Small Claims Court.

If you value your valuable, I would advise you stay away from MyHermes Couriers!

PS - In case you think all Courier Drivers are saints, see the attached news item from the Matro paer a few days ago.

Hermes Parcelnet Customer service communication

I have been trying to trace a package which was sent to me Via Hermes - 2 day delivery service by Play.com. Now I realise that it is mid winter and the weather will cause delays, but I went into their tracking site put in all the appropriate information and received the answer, "Sorry, there are no records matching your details please contact the dispatcher"
Play.com tell you that "The package should be delivered between 2 and 5 days and if it does not arrive then you should wait 21 days before contacting them."
I tried contacting Hermes through their contact us site and received an automated message telling me, "Sorry we cannot deal with you direct, Please contact the dispatcher" (Why have a contact site if they cannit deak with you direct)
I have been trying to get an answer for over 2 1/2 hours this morning phoning them both, getting a repeated busy signal from Hermes, being on hold for ages with Play.com, and sending emails to both parties. I have spent that much time going back and forward between the two, I feel like a ping-pong ball.
By the way if anyone is trying to get in touch with either company and does not know the phone numbers, they are:
Hermes [protected] (Constantly Busy Signal wasted most of the 2 1/2 hours trying to contact them.)
Play.com [protected] whowhen I did eventually get through were very polite and promised to try and get an answer within 24 hours. At least Play.com were helpfull, that is why their name does not appear in the Company / Product bar

I ordered vacuum cleaner via ebay. My parcel was sent to me via Hermes Courier and its part of myparceldelivery.com? 3 weeks ago. Parcel should be here within 3-5 days. Its been 3 weeks now. Every day i m trying to contact them, every day is the same story. Driver has issues with my address. ..When i asked what was the problem they refuse to tell me.:) At times parcel is on the van so i have to wait, so i m waiting . Every day for last 3 weeks i m waiting. I wrote email to them twice, ofcourse no respond. I talk to them on live chat too...They see no problem because every day my parcel is on the van. 4 days ago i got a phone call from them telling me my parcel is going to be delivered within next 3 days because driver had a problem with address again, this time they let me tell them my correct address...and ofcourse my parcel is not here! Guess what? Its on the van for delivery just like 2, 5 week ago, 10 days ago, 5 days ago, yesterday... Avoid them, just avoid them...Just wondering in what condition is my brand new vacuum cleaner after that travelling for 3 weeks around UK.

Hermes Parcelnet Delivery

I've just had s delivery by these ###s. What I'd like to complain about is the (lack of) intelligence of their deliverymen.

I ordered some clothing from m and m direct around 5 days ago, and through online tracking, was able to see when the item was scheduled to arrive(a sunday afternoon, strangely). Luckily someone in my house noticed the delivery man, who was delivering the parcel to the wrong address- to my idiot neighbours( who are illiterate, apparently)who ripped open my parcel without even reading who it was for beforehand. The parcel was very clearly labeled, and my house is less than 10 feet away from my neighbours house which it was delivered to(very easy to find unless you're blind). Apparently this company seems to employ only the dumbest people they can find, who can't count( the parcel was clearly labeled to house number 38 and not number 36) and make no attemp in delivering it or even looking for the correct address to deliver to. I'd recommend you stear well clear of this company!

I ordered a kitchen food steamer from an online retailer. The Hermes delivery lout came when I was out and put a card through my door saying it was in the garden.

I have a 6 feet high, locked garden gate accessing my garden. The delivery driver/lout has thrown the (fragile) steamer, in its box over the gate and it has smashed in the corner of the box.

There is no contact number on the delivery card so, after some internet checks, I found a number for 'myhermes.co.uk' (the web address on the card) which I rang. They tell me they are a subsidiary of Hermes Europe and don't take complaints. I eventually found the number for Hermes Europe on this site but they divert to a number saying I'm diverted to a voicemail box - which then goes to a dead line.

I'm seething!

Hermes Parcelnet Incompetence

Hermes - 'the great messenger of the Gods, the God of merchants & commerce, the fastest'. HA HA HA ! Cheek calling themselves after Hermes - this company is absolute CRAP. Don't bother phoning them, their advice - phone the retailer you purchased from. The only solution therefore is to hassle your retailer (to let them know how poor the service is) for some satisfaction while you endlessly wait for the goods you have paid for to be delivered by Hermes .. if ever !

You'd stand more of a chance receiving your delivery if it were delivered by Del Boy and Rodney in the back of a yellow three-wheel van.

Hermes Parcelnet Lost and abandoned parcels

I ordered items totalling approx £290 from my cataloge Ambrose Wilson and waited and waited I tracked my order and noticed it was marked as delivered! 7/04/10 which it was not. I contacted my catalogue who said I had to wait another week. Still no parcel so I again contacted Ambrose Wilson this time the responce was good but fragmented. The upshot was that the courier said they had delivered it and left it in my porch which is again strange as I do not have a porch. It was finally sorted on the 13/05/10 and the money returned to my account. But in between those dates the replacement Items were left in my dustbin and a card scrawled on screwed up and put in my letterbox. Then this Friaday I was due another parcel that didnt come. I was due to go away Sat-Sun but was unwell and returned home late Saturday evening only to find 3 parcels abandoned on my doormat...and again no card put through to say they had been delivered. The cataloge has just processed it as another complain. The Courier is HERMES great company hey.
