I had the same behavior as the first review when I needed to return a few Items at Eganville Home Hardware, A very Rude and intimidating group of people. Having been involved with customer fulfillment and Management all my life it only took once to notice that these folks don't work in a happy place, that is why most looked pissed off when talking with you very confrontational when you are returning item. Anyway, its not like me to complain but when Dora the Explorer said to me, I can't help you because I don't know you. I have been here for 2 years now and have purchased Mowers, Portable Heaters, Lawn Furniture, Complete Ratchet Set, Pails, Candles, Lawn Food, Mower Adapter, Paint, Motor Oil, Power Steering Fluid, Bondo, Shovels for Snow, Salt and Sand and on and on. The Lights are on but nobody's home, It pays to drive to Pembroke and Renfrew Canadian Tire Home Depot, Walmart. Have no respect for Senior Citizens or I am targeted. Somethings not right, so I investigated, the Customer Reviews and bingo, First one is Tourist from Ohio wanting to return a minor item, and encounters rude CR , who created a situation, like I was,the same itenerary and ended in yelling and screaming in the Store all for a $20.00 item receipt. Dora the Explorer refused to honor a minor return for a Lawnmower Adapter $17.50 Cash., and I asked why, and she snapped back in rude disrespectful argumentative manner:Because I don't know you and then litery took my rReciepts and asked me if I had a Bolt at Home, because this one looks used. B.S. I told her I will go home and check if there was another, so I did and in the meantime me ended up buying a New Radley Lawnmower, which was the reason for returning.Then my Son went in and bought a Benchmark Ratchet Set, and was given wrong size, I came back to bring the bolt and also ther Ratchet Set and I get Dora the Explorer, who is now calling herself the Manager tells me threw out all my reciepts (she said I didn't think I would come back-it included lawn care materials, So later I went to return a Scott's Weed Feed and Grey and anothe guy, person with grey sweater handed me a paper about their policy of being rude to a few of the workers, At the time an I felt shocked.I handed the paper back to her, and she went off and told the Owner .Well, out walks Porky, 7 foot tall, 450lbs (Soaking Wet) wrapping a Leather Strap around his hand in intimidating manner in front of my face bellowing at me , I didn't have my receipt, .Why Dora threw it out.

Then Porky came and bellowed your rude to gals, get out of my store, so I calmly walked out and he followed me in a charging, bellowing way and harassed me all the way to my Car. And then started to take pictures of my licence plats. .I am snot sure if its a chargeable offence to threaten, intimidate, deny me and then lunge at a 68 year old Customer who is tring to return unwanted purchases. To me it ruffled a few feathers, but I bet that Porky is going to have alligators all over his [censored] one of these days if he continues his ways. My friend in Port Perry who is with a motorcycle club associated with the recent gathering in Durham Region. and said he would like for them to have an event in the Bonnechure Valley .basically I had got ripped off and played for $50.00 plus having to pay $25.00 more, for more expensive Ratchet Set (Returns Policy). I hope my Radley Lawnmower doesn't blow up, $300.00 for that one, So I am humored by this whole experience and have a sense of relief when they send me my refund dollars, I am well off and not concerned about the money, Its the principal and carried out by some very bad people in a declining business. Outspoken and confident that what goes around, comes around. Anyway, Analysis-Business in Decline. Need extensive renovations and Customer Service Reorientation in Customer Service.
