terrible service department on paint recall.

Took 2010 Honda to Asheboro Honda for paint recall. Service department rep first tried everything to absolutely do the minimum. Finally when approved and scheduled they (Asheboro Honda) first picked the week that we said we were not available. Was told to bring the vehicle the next Monday and it would take four to five days. On day five after not hearing anything we called dealer. Service said would check and call back, never called back. On Saturday, day six, called dealership. Travis said he left message but not on any of the call message records. Then he said ' oh sorry must have left it on a wrong number and the car will be ready 'sometime' next week. HONDA DOES NOT PROVIDE A REPLACEMENT DURING THIS TIME. Very disappointed, no matter how many slick ads on TV, bad customer service is bad customer service.

I recently bought a car. In my research I tried to take everything into account. I omitted the character of the dealership & I paid the price.
I went to AutoNation Honda in Las Vegas. I drove 4 hours to get there. I was pre-approved with my bank and I was told that my bank & AutoNation would “cuddle.” What a phrase. I was told that because the two institutions cuddled the car buying process would be expedited. I was there for 4 hours.
I was told that I would receive a temporary registration for 15 days & that in approximately a week I would receive a call to pay for and pick up my registration from the California DMV. I did not receive anything, even as much as a call, so I called on the 7th day and was told by the salesperson that he would look into it. The next day I was told that their financial guy (who was new) omitted some paperwork that I needed to sign. They were going to overnight the paperwork and they were going to include an extension on my registration for another 15 days.
The paperwork arrived but not the extension. I called back repeatedly for this extension. They said they were going to pay for a registration service and they were still going to send the extension. I said okay if it would speed up the process. It did not and still the extension did not come. The last time I called for the extension the salesperson told me to call the sales manager. I called and was told that AutoNation Honda does not send out extensions but because I “was being nice about it, ” he would ask the salesman if what I was saying was true and if it was he would send the registration. I never heard from him or the sales person again. By the time I got my plates and registration it was almost a month after the purchase date. I had to go without registration for two weeks because of these turkeys.
Needless to say I will never buy anything from any AutoNation again.

I am using Honda Accord VTi-L year 2014. Recently i found that my car navigation system in not performing well. Whenever i pressed navigation button, info on screen shows " not in digitize road". So i took my car to Honda SC. The SC representative checked and told me i need to update my navigation system. I was told that i need to pay for the updates cost around RM375. My car is still under warranty and why Honda SC should charged for the updates. Furthermore, when i bought the car with navigation system, the navigation installation CD was not provided. I would like to make a complaint on your service center at sg long due to unhelpful attitude. And also complaint about my engine vibration issue.
I have made several complaint to my engine vibration when my car stop at gear D - while idling, but problem never solved. The last service i made complaint to Sg Long SC they checked and come back to me that my car engine driver site mounting has been soften and not in good condition, if i were to change the parts, Honda Malaysia will not warranty the repair and parts due to wear & tear policy.
FYI i made this complaint first at Honda SC Peringgit OKR @ millage 20, 000 September 2015, my car was still less then a year old. I was told the engine vibration is normal, so i just drove off from SC for good.
After a while my driving experience, i was still not satisfied with the engine vibration again that is why i made a complaint again, Sc Sg Long service officer told me if they send the report for warranty Honda Malaysia will not going to entertain due to wear & tear policy.
I hope Honda Malaysia will look into this very seriously, how can a car engine mounting lifespan is so short, and i do not accept this is wear & tear excuses.

radio screen on problem
06/23/2016 my wife went to Honda Service station for Radio screen on problem in our Honda CRV 2012. She have been advise that there was penny stuck in Radio screen machine. You have to pay $650.00 and its not guaranteed problem fix. After that my wife suggest to use Honda Care, since we pay every month $50.00 for honda care, if they cover this $650.00 for part or so. Gentlemen Suggest to call my wife to Honda Care. As per rules Honda care people never give any information for any amount cover or not. They only give information to Honda service person. My Wife insist to call Service agent to Honda Care and find out if parts covered or not. He told that I m very busy today i will call them in afternoon after 2.00 and will give you update. At last Gentlemen also include that you have to pay more $500 to open radio machine & solve the problem so total now $650+500= $1150. I have never ever seen this type of things in Honda Service. I am not going to trade or recommend to all my friend who is thinking to buy from Honda.

I own a Honda Civic 2.0 with year of manufacturing 2012. For past 3 1/2 years i had to call in Honda Customer Service many times to make complaint. All I get in return is poor service. A brand new car with many problems as reverse sensor problem, interior arm rest surface peeled off, Honda sign on the steering tends to peel off and the most recent is leaking in the air conditioner pump.
All of sudden my air cond did not function well and i brought it to the dealer and i was told that no any leak found and they just pump gas. Again, within a week i faced same problem and i brought it again to the same dealer and i was told there is a major leak in the air conditioner pump. I was thinking if these people really checked my car on first time i brought it there. i was informed i have to wait for 2 weeks to receive spare parts from KL to solve my problem. Imagine KL and Penang is just about 4 hours in distance and I have to wait for 2 weeks.
i called Honda Customer Service to make complaint about my car on last week. So surprising, there is no feedback from them till today. Whenever I called in, the person who answer my call will say " we will ask the complaint investigator to return your call". Unfortunately, nobody reply my call till now. I don't have any spare car to use. can you imagine driving in this hot weather without air cond? i wrote email to them no reply, i called them yet no reply. seriously, i dont know how to contact them anymore. Honda is providing such a poor customer service. those days Honda well recognized for its quality but now its zero quality. not worth spending your money to buy expensive car when the service is so sickening.

So where do I start? How do I express my disappointment in Honda, their approved dealership Cayenne and in the so called top of the range, the ultimate bike that Honda has released the CBR 1000RR SP. I have been riding Honda ever since I started as a youngster on a MBX 50, CBR 400, two ’04 1000RR, a ’08 1000RR and a ’07 VFR 800 and never did I have to replace a clutch. I bought the SP brand new in July 2015 with 0 km’s selling my ’08 as the SP was Honda’s so called ultimate machine build on racing specs! Well to MY DISSAPOINTMENT I now need to replace the clutch for the second time at only 4600 km’s! How do you explain this, how is this possible and yet NOT Honda or Cayenne can explain this! What kind of an answer is “you are being sabotaged the clutch does not adjust itself”, “it does not have play”, yet the clutch does have enough play and burns up while riding. How does a clutch still have play when burnt up? Although I am not a mechanic it surely makes sense that a burnt clutch does not have play as the clutch plates does not release? I need ask the question – Honda, you state the clutch on the SP should only be adjust on the handle with half a turn when turned in fully (I do have this recorded) yet Cayenne your authorised dealership states that it does not matter how far this is turned there should only be 3 to 4 millimetre play, so I ask the question, Honda do you ever do quality checks or is volume the only thing that matters and still awaiting a response? My point is if Honda South Africa takes any pride in their products they would speak to the public especially on matters like this specifically if your name and reputation is at risk! I expect that a senior person at Honda with pride to their product would respond to this and STOP only directing clients to customer care! I echo do you sell volume or quality, do you care about your customers, do you stand up to your slogan or as my dream has just become a nightmare! I await your call!

I'll be the first to admit have had some tough times lately about 1 year after getting my CRV I lost a decent job in which i can afford my, 4 kids, home and car etc... I have kept in communication with Honda financial they knew of my financial hardships I never attempted to evade them just trying to keep my head above water...but with no gifts under the Christmas tree, somewhat relieved that my x is taking our 11 and 8 year old for the Christmas break in hopes i will have something available under the tree by their return. Monday morning I wake up as usual take a look out my front door and did not see my vehicle in the drive way I call 911 as they check I noticed scratch/track marks in my driveway outward, by the time the officer came back on the line I knew. bu my nightmare was just beginning as I try and speak to some one in recovery who was not being degrading to me as i paid for this car for almost 4 years i did not need GUS of Antonio B. telling me over and over again that i singed a contract and what my responsibilities where... i understand to them its only a job but someone owed me the courtesy of a phone call letting me know what my options, according to Gus they do not have to provide me with any courtesy, letter or phone call and he refuses to let me speak to a manager or supervisor would no give me the phone number to corporate...Antonio was just as bad talked over me the whole time as i had no choice but to yell over him and again refuses to put a supervisor on the phone saying several times they where not available where before it got this far now i'm supposed to come up with all the late fees which is well over $900.00, towing charge, storage fee at the tow yard and i just found out that i have to pay 81.00 to get my own belonging out of the vehicle that the bank now has ownership anything in the vehicle the. I am super angry and feel very mistreated this is my second financed Honda vehicle and i have had this vehicle for 4 years this march. Great cars but horrible customer care some of the recovery dept staff needs retraining its business as usual but be respectful what goes around come around. I was not treated as a valued customer just as a delinquent who did nothing right in the 3 plus years I financed this vehicle this vehicle deserve any respect or courtesy says the recovery staff.

Terrible services at dealers and service center... bought a new bike but engine problem within 3 days.. the dealer told me to send the bike to service center.. There no proper information given information given and asked to leave the bike for 3-4 days..Made complain to boon siew HQ center, then the next day receive call from KL service center regarding the bike is ready..the next day during collection, no wan give proper information about the damage.but when i saw the damage list in the warranty paper, the damage to the engine parts were really serious.Although, was repaired within a day but the service is poor and made regret to own a honda bike.Plus, hope boon siew honda recall all honda future 125 for the oil meter because the reading is inaccurate and difficult to predict the oil level..As by the claim of good oil consumption by honda boon siew, is actually not really true as the oil consumption is so and so..Not much oil saving..Plus the engine is not a quite engine.Honda claims the engine gives out less noise which is totally rubbish claim.the engine is similar to other normal kapcai which is rather noisy.Honda boon siew, please do not cheat customers with your stupid untrue advertisements regarding the bike.If this continues, Honda boon siew might lose more customers..Hope boon siew buck up and provide quality product with proper and true advertisements and also provide better service to customers.. I purchased a honda unicorn bike in March 2014 from virudhunagar sri sai honda. Right from the start i am having a complaint in my bike that when i start my bike the fuel injection is not proper until i run the bike for 5 kms continously. Only after the engine gets enough heat it starts running smoothly. Even when i stop the engine for one hour and restart the engine, i face the same compaint. The engine keeps on running down while driving atleast for 5kms. I sent the bike for service and they replied that the engine has been tuned since it is a new engine and later on it will get ok. but till today i am having the same complaint. After the free service, I sent the bike for the same complaint for more than ten times and i am having the same complaint. After getting frustrated, I sent my bike to the Madurai honda dealer which is 60kms ahead from my place twice and they too couldn't get me out of my complaint. Now i went to the Virudhunagar dealer and asked him clearly about my complaint and now they have declared that this defect is by manufacture and number of bikes pertaining to this lot have the same complaint and this defect in my bike cannot be rectified. Can you please suggest me what shall I do. Kindly reply me as soon as possible. I cant drive my bike with such defect because at times I missed two three accidents also.

I would like you to share/complaint, i serviced my car Honda city on 8th Nov 2015, saying it is for Isthimara renewal on next day. even though it was just serviced 2000 kms before, so no doubt exists anymore. So, they charge me certain amount saying we will do check all and fit for inspection tomorrow. After taking to inspection it was found rear brakes pads are not up to standard and inspection FAILED. now my question is even after informing prior Honda service peoples are not serious, just want to sell brand name service and not up to mark. it was very embarrassing moment for me. any how i adjust my time to visit service centers, which is very difficult to spend time without cars, and offcourse amount, and they peoples are playing on us. I took a new car because of escaping from this break down, repairs. New car having this much problem then what's the use of taking a brand new with paying more money? You say that...we are dedicated to supplying products of the highest quality, yet at a reasonable price for worldwide customer satisfaction. Sometimes you are not, definitely not in this instance.
Your goal, so you say is... to provide joy through your Business: The Joy of Buying: For those who buy your Products. Sorry, you have provided only sadness, mental harassment, agony and created bad environment and, possibly, of serious accident.
You say that, to meet the particular needs of customers in different regions around the world, you base your sales networks, research and development centers and manufacturing facilities in each region. Furthermore, as a socially responsible corporate citizen, you strive to address important environmental and safety issues. This claim is highly doubtful as you have supplied a vehicle without bearing in mind the environmental conditions (at least in this instance) with improper finish and paint job, a manufacturing defect, leading to extreme corrosion which in turn endangers human safety.
Such behavior, lack of quality consciousness, disregard for environment and safety, is helping Honda India to destroy the unparalleled legacy of greatness created by your Respected Founder Mr Soichiro Honda. Remember he also said “real happiness lies in completion of work using your own brains and skills”. Does the shoddy job provided by you make you happy?
We refer you to our previous correspondence and would notify you that if you do not arrange to carry out complete corrosion repairs to the a/m Honda motor car free of cost within 21 days hereof, we shall institute legal proceedings in appropriate fora against all of you without any further reference to you.
The facts are as follows:
01. Purchase of one Honda City was made on 13-14/02/2011 upon payment of full value to you.
02. Owing to inherent manufacturing defects, leading to uncontrolled rusting, corrosion of body, even the front portion of the vehicle has caved in as shown in photos.
03. This particular car, if not the batch, has rusted since last more than 2 to 3 years owing to a serious and severe deficiency somewhere along the factory line. The damage and responsibility thereof can be established by various tests available incl. salt spray tests. You may also wish to carry out tests at any world-renowned lab supervised by a leading expert of forensics in motor cars, specializing in rust/corrosion matters.
04. Your statement “formation of rust in car happens due to external natural factors”. If that were the case then all cars – Honda or otherwise - on Kolkata, if not Indian roads, would start rusting within 1 or 2 years of purchase as it has happened in your case. We own more than 4 cars – even more than 20 years old - none is affected by rust as the Honda is, although used equally and parked in the very same covered garage.
05. No “stringent” quality tests esp. of the paint job at various corners and undulations were carried out by you.
06. The rusting started after 2, and further deteriorated within 3 years of purchase. Despite the vehicle visiting your workshop numerous times, you did not take any notice of the spreading and dangerous rust. Shockingly, only in 2015 – after we sent our Honda to your workshop at your request (and after we were forced to complain to your Japan HO about the corrosion), you stated that some parts incl. underbody was rusted, totally ignoring the dangerous and unseemly rusting of the main body of the Honda!
07. In the 4th year, the damage – owing obviously to some sort of manufacturing defect by Honda India – is even more dangerous than before;
08. We have found innumerable complaints of rusting and corrosion against Honda City cars sold in India. You are surely aware of this fact.
09. Damage is not caused by external factors directly but by manufacturing defect or owing to Honda not taking sufficient care during manufacturing process.
10. Similar damage is seen in other Honda cars probably of same batch.
11. Your excuse of warranty period having expired does not hold any water.

13. The vehicle is parked in a covered garage in Alipore where not only 4 more cars of mine but numerous other cars of other owners are parked all of whom would gladly confirm that their cars have not corroded coz their cars are not manufactured by Honda.
14. As a fond lover of my Honda, I ensure – personally ensure – every morning, that my car is dried thoroughly after being washed and, any extraneous matter, if any, is cleaned.
15. We purchased your product in good faith.
We may add that since our complaint, the corrosion has led to the front end of the vehicle under the bonnet to be severely damaged as well, leading to the frontal parts almost falling off the car as you would observe from the spilt slippery material in the photos.
You can easily verify (1) all the similar complaints made against Honda about rust/corrosion and find a pattern of an inherent manufacturing defect (2) the minutest detail of the corrosion by having the vehicle undergo various investigative tests incl. salt test all of which would establish that Honda is guilty.
Kindly note that – upon expiry of the response period after August 29, 2015 - we would be free to take all possible action against Honda in India and Japan for being duped to buy a vehicle which has corroded owing to obvious manufacturing defect and we would assume that Honda is not interested to rectify the damage.

I have purchased 2013 Honda Accord 3 years ago and just passed the 36K miles guarantee and our car's starter broken, we have to replaced a new starter and labor cost for $836. What is the purpose of purchasing the new car when my loan hasn't paid off yet and I have to pay additional charges for these type of problem. It's so frustrating that I would re-consider of Honda car quality.

I have bought a Honda Active 2 wheeler recently from KSN Motors, Chennai (Dealer of Honda Motor cycles)and had the first service recently. They charged me for no reason and the same was raised as a complaint to Honda.
They apologized and said it wont happen again over the phone. Yesterday I receive an email from the dealer. You can read the email below.
This would be rudest reply in the history of customer service ever.
I request someone to shed some light on this and let me know the next steps.
I want to bring this to the notice of all top heads in Honda and get alerted.

I purchased new Honda CR-V from Honda of Spring, TX on July 27, 2015. I came to them with pre-approval documentation, copy of credit report from my credit union. They did not honor credit report, they conducted credit check. During car buying process they collected my personal information such as SSN, driver license etc. Once we left they sold our information to various financial institutions and banks without our prior permission and /or consent. Within a 3-4 days time we started receiving influx letters and phone calls from financial institutions and banks and their affiliates. As a matter of fact Honda of Spring spoiled our (my wife and I) outstanding financial credibility. Honda of Spring is one the highly unprofessional people and cheaters. When they were asked why did they share my information, no appropriate reply. Never ever think of Honda of Spring, you will be better some where else. Warning! so that same thing should not happen with you folks. Beware of Honda of Spring.
stolen navigation sd card
I have given my car for repair in Cortesy Honda Body Shop on 29th July 2015. But during delivery I found the SD card for Navigation system is missing. The Manager shown his ignorance for the same. My daughter took her truck there to be fixed after a hit and run they we’re having a hard time with in’s company (another bad company) when it was time for truck to be fixed they couldn’t find it they had taken the truck to be AUCTIONED! The manager didn’t have a clue where it was taken to the payments were and had been on time, when they found it it was like 2 hours away and wouldn’t pay for the truck to be towed back costing her another 1,000 to get it brought to another place to repair (it was just damage to the driver side wheel no body work had to be done)they have still refused to pay for tow
