We've been dealing with the service department at Akron, and it's been a nightmare!
We've been dealing with the service department at Akron, and it's been a nightmare! First, most of their service reps were leaving during this. We brought our 2017 Hyundai Tucson in when it stopped running, and that was over a month ago. Throughout this whole process, we had to call and check on the progress almost daily at the start. As the service reps kept leaving, we're now on our 7th person! During this entire process, we had to call and ask if certain things were done, and the response was always, "Oh, we need to do that." So, here's the best part. Two service managers called once I posted a review. The first one wasn't nice and said, "I'll be handling your service now." Well, he's not handling it, we found out a week ago! Now, the second one called today and was nasty right from the start. He said, "Your car hasn't been here in a long time," when my car is actually sitting there, waiting to be fixed when the parts arrive! Do they hire these guys off the street with no personal skills or common sense to check if your car is really there? This dealership has really gone downhill. I've been a customer for over 12 years, and this is how they treat customers? Maybe the rest of the management is the same, and all they want is your money. I feel bad for people using this service department. I would stay away and go somewhere else! So, all in all, we're still waiting for the parts, hopefully soon, and we'll never buy or use the service at this dealership again! We've had multiple bad experiences here, to the point where my wife came home crying. But we chalked it up to workload stress and came back. Shame on us!

I got some pics of the 10 cars me and my fam bought from this place in the past 16 years. No problems till 2022 when our 2015 Sonata, with 80,000 miles, started leaking oil. We took good care of it and there was an engine recall. But the dealer said no to the recall. Here are the issues we had: 1.) Dealer said no to the recall and charged us $2,000 for repairs. 2.) Dealer didn't give us a loaner car. 3.) Dealer never picked up the phone. 4.) Two weeks later, the engine light comes on, so we call AAA and send it to the dealer. Dealer takes three days to call back, and when I try to call them, all I get is voicemail. 5.) I go to the dealer and it's a madhouse, no one there to help, no one cares, they're all running around like crazy. 6.) Dealer charged us for a part under the car but never put it in, said they'd call us. 7.) We tried to buy a new car (our 11th car) and trade this one in. The salesman takes $100 for an Elantra and says a new one will come in a week, but he never calls for three weeks. 8.) I call the salesman and he says he's too busy from Presidents Day, promises to call me the next day but never does. 9.) Ask for a refund on the deposit for a new car. 10.) Every time you call service, you never get a person and they never call you back. Can't buy a new car, can't get service, and they denied the recall claim, all after buying 10 cars from them in 16 years. I've been driving for 30 years and never had a car, especially a Hyundai, with a $2,000 engine leak at *** miles. If I had, I would've never bought a Hyundai again. It's sad to see this dealership go downhill like this. I've been loyal to them for a long time and referred at least 15 sales to them over the years through family and friends. Not sure what their problem is now. On [protected], the car almost caused an accident again when the engine light came on and it lost power on the highway, almost causing my wife to crash. It's back at Marhofer...again...and it's still under recall.

In Sept. of 2021, I took my 2012 Vera Cruz to Ron Marhofer Dealer in Green
In Sept. of 2021, I took my 2012 Vera Cruz to Ron Marhofer Dealer in Green. They said there was a problem with the alternator and it needed fixing. It's now Feb. and my car is still there! I've called them so many times, but they never call me back like they promised. We've bought cars from them before, and so have our family members, but this will be the last time. Their customer service is really bad and they don't seem to care. They haven't given me any updates or told me what's going on with my car. I think waiting for 5 months is way too long. I'll never buy from them again. Right now, I'm leasing a 2021 Sonata and I really regret it!
We've had our Hyundai Elantra for a few years now and we've been doing all the necessary maintenance stuff regularly
We've had our Hyundai Elantra for a few years now and we've been doing all the necessary maintenance stuff regularly. Lately, the engine has been losing oil and it's been going on for quite a few months. We did some research and talked to a few mechanics, and turns out this is a known issue with certain Hyundai engines. We've taken the car to the dealership where we bought it three times already, and they've tried reaching out to Hyundai for repairs. But guess what? We've been denied any assistance multiple times. The engine is giving up on us and the car ain't worth a dime if we try to trade it in. I've been talking to the dealership and even called up Hyundai customer service, but they ain't giving us any help at all.

My car got serviced on [protected] for regular stuff like oil change and filter, lubing the doors and hinges, checking and topping off fluids, rotating tires, setting tire pressure, checking hoses and belts, and visually inspecting the brakes. But when I drove home and checked the tire pressure, it was still the same as when I dropped off the car. All the tires needed the pressure to be set. I also noticed that my windshield washer fluid was empty. This could mean a few things, like maybe the technician forgot to do these two things that I paid for according to my receipt - human error, you know? Or maybe they're other services that I paid for but didn't get. I tried calling on September 14, and they said the service manager *** would call me back and fix my problems. But after waiting for hours, I called 2-3 more times and couldn't get through. It's like they don't care as long as they have my money.

Highly recommended, but caution will not hurt.
The car deal said they'd give me a new spare tire kit, but they didn't
The car deal said they'd give me a new spare tire kit, but they didn't. I paid half for it, but they gave me a used tire and a useless jack instead. They charged me more than we agreed upon. I told the salesperson right away and showed them pictures. I wanted to return the used stuff and get a new kit or get my money back. They said no. I can buy a new kit for less than what they charged me. I have proof of what we agreed upon if you want to see it.
I bought a new car from Ron Marhofer Hyundai of Green on 8-25-22
I bought a new car from Ron Marhofer Hyundai of Green on 8-25-22. When I was getting the financing, they told me the best interest rate was over 7%, but it could be lowered to 6.5% if I added an extended warranty. They said the warranty would cost $2239, but the monthly payment would be the same as the 7% rate. The finance manager, ***, made it seem like he was doing me a big favor. Later that night, I started wondering why the interest rate was so high. My credit score is above 800, so I decided to check loan rates at other places. Turns out, the going rate was 3.99% at multiple places. I quickly refinanced my car at 3.99% and returned the warranty on 9-2-22. I was told by *** that I would receive a refund for the warranty in 4-6 weeks at my home. However, I never received that refund and they gave me the runaround when I asked about it. I then contacted another finance manager, ***, who apologized and said he would look into the issue. He asked for proof that I had refinanced the vehicle, so I sent him a statement clearly showing that the loan had been paid in full. After a couple of days, he said that the statement was not official and I needed an official pay off letter. The statement I provided was from the credit union that provided the loan and it clearly showed a paid in full balance. Right now, I am still paying interest on money that Ron Marhofer Hyundai of Green has taken from me. This is, at best, an unethical practice and, in my opinion, it is like felony robbery.
I just bought my first car from Marhofer in Green in the summer of 2022
I just bought my first car from Marhofer in Green in the summer of 2022. It's a 2019 Trailblazer, but I've already had two big problems with it. The first issue was with the shift to park. My car wouldn't turn off at all. The dealer wanted over $600 to fix it, even though this is a known problem that should have been fixed before selling the car. It was really frustrating, so I had to get it fixed.
Then, just last Thursday, while I was waiting at a red light during my lunch break, my car suddenly shut off and I couldn't get it to start again. I was stuck in traffic and couldn't go back to work. Two police officers had to push my car to a gas station, and then I had to call a tow truck to take it to a nearby shop. The shop told me that I need a new starter, and they want over $600 to fix it. Right now, I don't have a car at all! I can't afford to get it fixed, and it won't run until I do.
I've tried calling Ron Marhofer and reaching out to my salesman, but no one has called me back or gotten in touch with me. This is the first time I've bought a car from them, and unfortunately, I can't recommend them to anyone. I won't be buying another car from here again. This has caused me so much trouble. I can't believe this car is having so many problems. I've only had it for less than four months!
I recently bought a used 2016 Hyundai Tucson from Ron Marhofer Hyundai of Green in ***
I recently bought a used 2016 Hyundai Tucson from Ron Marhofer Hyundai of Green in ***. My family member recommended this place and I trusted them when I bought the car. But turns out, that wasn't a good idea. I want to complain about the dealership because they sold me a car with a bunch of problems, and they won't take responsibility or help me fix them. They keep using the excuse that they're really busy, leaving me with no options. And to make matters worse, their communication is terrible. They never answer the phones or get back to me in a reasonable amount of time.
Just two weeks after buying the car, I had to take it in because water was leaking inside from both the passenger side and behind the driver's seat. They said it would be an easy fix, just two hours. But the service department ended up keeping my car for four days. They gave me a loaner car, but when I went to pick up my car, it wasn't ready. They didn't clearly communicate that to me, so I wasted a two-hour round trip from home to the dealership (*** to ***). Their communication is really poor. They never answer the phones, so I couldn't check on the status of my car. And they never told me about the delay in fixing it.
Now, after two months of owning this car, I'm dealing with another major issue. The check engine light came on and it's flashing. I've tried to contact the dealership multiple times to let them know that I can't drive the car and that I need to get it fixed under the manufacturer warranty because it's an engine error. But when I finally got through to the service department, after many, many attempts and leaving voicemails, even the General Manager of Service didn't get back to me. They didn't provide any solution. I can't go without a car for five days while I wait for them to diagnose and fix this faulty car they sold me. Who knows how long it will take them to fix it.
