Honda of Ocala is the worst dealer I've ever dealt with!
Honda of Ocala is the worst dealer I've ever dealt with! The salesman told me I had 15 days or 300 miles to return the car, but when I brought it back, they said they have a no return policy. On top of that, my first payment was set at a high amount, supposedly to cover tax, tag, and title, but the subsequent payments turned out to be much higher than what I was told. This is unacceptable!
Worst dealership ever
Worst dealership ever. They will lie to you to your face. Finance guy will change the contract. If you buy GAP, they will put you with a company that have a F rating. In seven days the first contract with them the APR was 4.99 then after I had them to take off unnecessary warranty they changed the APR to 10.54. Dealing with these people (sale man's and finance people) is like doing business with the mob.
This dealership is the worst. They'll straight up lie to your face. The finance guy will even change the contract on you. And if you decide to get GAP, they'll hook you up with a company that's got a big fat F rating. Can you believe it? In just seven days, they bumped up my APR from 4.99 to a whopping 10.54, all because I asked them to remove a useless warranty. Dealing with these folks, both the sales guys and the finance people, is like getting mixed up with the mob.
I made a deal to buy a used car from Honda of Ocala and arranged financing through my own bank
I made a deal to buy a used car from Honda of Ocala and arranged financing through my own bank. I completed all the required paperwork at the dealership and then went home to sign the loan documents with my bank. They sent the check, but it seems that the car was never officially marked as sold. As a result, after the salesman who "sold" it to me finished his shift, the car was sold to someone else. Now I'm stuck paying interest on a loan for a car I don't have. To make matters worse, nobody had the courage to call me and let me know about this situation. Instead, they informed me through a text message.
Zach was at it again
Zach was at it again. I leased a truck and had a deal, but when we closed, the final payment if I purchased it was 9000 dollars higher. The general manager actually said it was my fault because I saw it and questioned it closer, and he said, "Oh, that's the tax and fees," and side-stepped it. They have a policy of 3 days to bring it back if you don't love it. All I wanted was to honor the deal, but they would not. I didn't want to get the salesman involved because he would get fired, and he did nothing wrong. So be careful.
Me and my wife got invited to Honda of Ocala and they gave us some cool incentives
Me and my wife got invited to Honda of Ocala and they gave us some cool incentives. We decided to go for a 2021 Honda CR-V, which had a sticker price of $31965. But when we started negotiating, they bumped up the price to $37965! They tried to trick us with those dealer add-ons, what a scam! And remember that letter I got promising up to $8900 off the sticker price? Yeah, that never happened either. They also said they would give me the MSRP value for my trade-in, but they didn't even offer me the KBB value. This whole thing felt like a bait and switch. First they show you the car for $31965, but then it magically becomes $37965. I wouldn't trust this dealership, that's for sure.
Avoid doing business with Zach from Honda of Ocala at all costs
Avoid doing business with Zach from Honda of Ocala. We arranged a meeting with Zach to see a used car. Aware of our hour-long drive, budget, and time constraints, he confirmed our appointment. Upon arrival, we learned the car was sold the previous day and Zach was absent. He arrived late, offered no alternatives, and refused to meet us, showing disregard for our time and his responsibilities.
If I could give it a negative star, I would, unfortunately, it won't let me
If I could give it a negative star, I would, unfortunately, it won't let me. Yesterday, my daughter drove to Ocala from Tifton GA to buy a car marked at 23000. She had her own loan and money to put down on the vehicle. At the time of sale, the car's price jumped to over 30K. This was due to tax, title, and a huge amount of dealer fees. $1995.00 for some kind of exterior/interior protectant, they said it's mandatory if you buy a car from us (SCAM). $999.00 Processing FEE, that's the biggest processing fee I've ever seen anywhere in the country. So, between these two items, the dealer was trying to make 3K off my daughter. When I called and questioned them, their response was, "Well, the car is way below market value and prices are on the website" (not true, I can't find it anywhere on their website, the 1995 or the 999 processing fee). This is a classic bait and switch, and Honda should revoke the dealer's status under them. It gets better, they wanted to charge her 600 for the title work and registration. I asked, "Isn't that what processing fees are for?" I was basically told that the fee does nothing, it's money in the dealer's pocket. Wow, unbelievable. The same things can be done on E-registration for like 200.00. People shouldn't let these types of dealerships stay in business. I will be reporting them to the Florida's Attorney General as well.

I bought a 2017 Dodge Charger 'bout a month ago and the radio ain't workin' at all
I bought a 2017 Dodge Charger 'bout a month ago and the radio ain't workin' at all. It was cuttin' in and off at first, but now it's been over a week with no music. On top of that, the door panels are comin' apart near the passenger and driver side windows, as well as by the gear shift. The tint on the back window is a complete mess too. I asked if they could fix it, but they straight up said no!
Honda of Ocala has been sending me mail for more than a year, even though I've asked them to stop
Honda of Ocala has been sending me mail for more than a year, even though I've asked them to stop. I've been telling them in person and in writing to stop soliciting me, but they continue to send me stuff. I've never bought a vehicle from them, and I even returned the mail they sent me in person. Can someone please help me protect my privacy and get them to stop soliciting me? I want to make it clear that I have never purchased a vehicle from Honda of Ocala.
On 12/6, my 2006 Honda Ridgeline broke down, so I had AAA tow it to Honda of Ocala
On 12/6, my 2006 Honda Ridgeline broke down, so I had AAA tow it to Honda of Ocala. They said they would fix it and assigned their best person, who handles electrical work, to the job. When I visited the next day, I found the ignition switch and steering column in pieces. They informed me that they were unsure of the problem and decided to keep everything disassembled. However, they insisted that I couldn't retrieve my car until I paid them a sum of $600.00 or more. As an 80-year-old disabled individual, I feel like they might be taking advantage of my age. I'm hopeful that you can assist me in this matter.

On Aug 17, 2021, I canceled 2 out of 3 extended warranties with Honda of Ocala
On Aug 17, 2021, I canceled 2 out of 3 extended warranties with Honda of Ocala. They told me it would take 4-6 weeks to give me back my money and put it towards my loan account. But guess what? It's been over 12 weeks now, and I still haven't seen a dime. I've reached out to them 4 times already, and all I get is the same old story. They keep saying their third-party vendor has COVID-19 problems and I just have to be patient. Well, I don't have time for patience! I need my refund ASAP, and I need some help making them respond. It's about $2800 we're talking about here, and I've already paid off the car. I just want this whole mess to be over with. Thanks.
My parents were tricked into signing a deal they thought meant they could lease a car for 3 years without making any payments
My parents were tricked into signing a deal they thought meant they could lease a car for 3 years without making any payments. The dealership also promised to buy the car from them for $21130.20 at the end of the lease. But, it turns out that the deal actually meant my parents could buy the car for $21130.20 at the end of the lease. The lease was based on their 2018 Honda CR-V, which was valued at $22500 ($625 a month for 36 months). My parents were forced to sign digital documents on a screen and weren't given any paper to read and review. They didn't understand the documents they were signing for the trade-in of their vehicle and had wrong ideas about the deal. The dealership took advantage of their old age and mental impairment.
I buyed a 2012 Hyundai Sonata from Honda of Ocala on 11/22
I buyed a 2012 Hyundai Sonata from Honda of Ocala on 11/22. The "WE OWE" list had all the stuff that was supposed to be taken care of. They took care of most of them 'cept the front left fender they were supposed to fix. They worked on it but didn't fix it right. I contacted Jesse W twice 'bout it, but no response. I also contacted my salesman Jason C and no response from him either. I'm happy with the car 'cept they don't seem to wanna fix what they said they would fix. Also, not happy 'bout being forced to buy a 2,000 dollar add on that they said I couldn't say no to. All I want is for the repair to be done right. And wouldn't mind getting my 2 grand back for the overpriced add on.
On May 3, 2022, I took my 2009 Honda Civic to Honda of Ocala for fixing
On May 3, 2022, I took my 2009 Honda Civic to Honda of Ocala for fixing. After 'bout 1-1/2 hours, they told me it gonna cost 'bout $3000.00 to fix it. They asked if I wanna keep the car, and I said "Yes" firmly. But then they somehow convinced me to talk to a salesman named "Dan." After chattin' with him for six hours, I ended up buyin' a 2020 used Nissan Kicks for over $38,000. Now I just found out that this car's only worth 'bout $20,000, and I feel like they took advantage of me big-time. I paid way too much for a car that ain't worth that much. On top of that, I traded in my Honda Civic and only got $2500.00 for it. Another car salesman told me I should've gotten at least 'bout $5000.00 for it. I took good care of that car all these years, 'cept for the new selenoids and a few other repairs it needed. I'm feelin' pretty devastated right now.
I went to Honda of Ocala on April 24, for an oil change and to replace a damaged tire
I went to Honda of Ocala on April 24, for an oil change and to replace a damaged tire. They checked my car and said I needed new tires for all four wheels. I told them I could only afford two tires and asked them to replace the damaged one with a nail in it first. Kristen, the advisor, agreed and started the service. They changed my oil, replaced the cabin filter, and put on two new tires. It cost me $401.31.
Today, on May 4, I noticed the tire pressure light was on. I checked my tires and found out that the back two tires were not changed as I requested. The damaged tire was still there. This made me really upset because I'm expecting another child and I have a two-year-old who were unknowingly in danger because of the old tire. I called the service department and explained the situation, but they put me on hold because my advisor was busy. After about two minutes, the call got disconnected. I'm really upset and don't need this unnecessary stress.
