Adding to my review of yesterday. The physical address given for HotelsOne on this website is 5810 Santa Maria Ave., № 205, Hale Center, Texas, 79041, United States. Note that per Google maps, there is a barn in this pasture country. The service center is in the Philippines. The company stole my money for a hotel for 3 nights at Villa 1565. They did not tell me when booking the site that the charges were non-refundable. I only learned that after the fact. The hotel Villa 1565 may or may not exist. The reservation doesn't start until 7/30/2024. They say they are with Expedia but I don't believe it. If Villa 1565 is in existence, they are at fault for not monitoring their website and pushing to book on HotelsOne. HotelsOne is not a real company; it is a scam; Just google HotelsOne reviews and complaints. You'll find them. It's a phony company set up to lure you to their site to steal your money. Since the hotel claims it doesn't have the money, HotelsOne wrongfully possesses my fund. A complaint will be filed.
Recommendation: Don't book hotels online anymore and never use HotelsOne.
On or about 5/27/2024, I made a hotel reservation from the website of Villa 1565 in St. Augustine, FL. Their website led me to HotelsOne which also may be known as Booking.com. The dates reserved were from 7/30 to 8/1/2024. Immediately upon giving them my credit card, they charged me for all three nights and sent me a confirmation indicating that the charges were not refundable. I looked carefully for cancellation rules and this language before making this booking and I didn't see it. I would have not made the booking if I had known that the charges were going to be immediate and they would be nonrefundable. They didn't let me know this. Now HotelsOne claims I can't get my money back. After at least 5 days, I contacted Villa 1565 (I wasn't able to reach them before through their phone number). They don't have my money. Hotels One, a company claiming to have an address in Texas which is merely a cow pasture, which is actually operated out of the Philippines, claims I can't have my money back. My bank is researching this dispute. But this is a phony/fake company. The amount I want back from Hotels One for their wrongful and deceptive activities is $652.47. That's the money they stole from me and includes $130 in unexplainable fees.
