Rip off company
I recently had the unfortunate experience of dealing with this company. BEWARE of unethical and deceptive practices! The company did not pay the hotel for which I booked thru HotelsOne so the hotel charged me also. After contacting the hotel about this practice, they refunded my room payment and erased an incidental fee since such was not used. HotelsOne charged me $21 more for the room than the hotel advertised. They also charged "estimated amounts" the travel service (HotelsOne) and may also include... Reference is made stating "please see the Terms and Conditions." page. Problem is that there was NO Terms and Conditions page included with the confirmation.
Recommendation: Be careful. Avoid any reservation for your travels that lists this hotel and address (with logo) followed by Hotelsone.o)
HotelsOne.com - Horrible.
Adding to my review of yesterday. The physical address given for HotelsOne on this website is 5810 Santa Maria Ave., № 205, Hale Center, Texas, 79041, United States. Note that per Google maps, there is a barn in this pasture country. The service center is in the Philippines. The company stole my money for a hotel for 3 nights at Villa 1565. They did not...

Giving this hotel a 1 star is to much. The pictures you see of this place online do not match the rooms. You can’t even find the office, locks on the doors don’t work. The staff is not presentable. I booked cottage 2 and they told me over the phone it was not remodeled yet. They stuck me in cottage 8, well this wasn’t remodeled either! Cobwebs all over the place. No heat or AC. Toilet doesn’t flush correctly and the mat in the bathroom had pee all over it. They also had a hard time finding my payment that I made a month and a half ago! We did not stay our second night so I hope they take that money and put it towards remodeling! What a rip off. BTW I’ve stayed here several times in the past, I do not see any improvement from the new owners!
Disappointing Experience with Hotelsone: Lack of Communication and Customer Service
I recently had an experience with Hotelsone that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I had booked a two-night stay at a hotel through their website, but was informed that my request could not be processed at the time. Naturally, I tried again and to my surprise, I received two confirmation emails for my bookings.
Feeling uneasy about the situation, I decided to call Hotelsone's service center for assistance. After being put on hold for what felt like an eternity, I was informed that the hotel would not cancel the booking or refund my money. I wasn't looking for the hotel to take responsibility, as I knew it wasn't their fault. However, my request was made two days prior to my visit, and there was no reason why Hotelsone couldn't have cancelled my second reservation.
After some back and forth, Hotelsone agreed to refund me half of the $279.00 fee. While I appreciate the gesture, I still feel like this could have been handled better. I plan to contest the charge with my bank, and I will never use Hotelsone again. I also plan to share my experience with others, as I don't appreciate their lack of customer service.
Overall, I was disappointed with my experience with Hotelsone. I understand that mistakes happen, but their lack of communication and willingness to help left me feeling frustrated. I hope that they can improve their customer service in the future, as I believe it's an important aspect of any business.
Disappointing Experience with HotelsOne: Strict No Refund Policy for Innocent Mistakes
I gotta say, I had a pretty frustrating experience with HotelsOne. I was trying to book a couple rooms at the Gettysburg Hotel for a wedding next year, and I accidentally booked them through HotelsOne instead of directly through the hotel. I didn't realize it at first, but then I found out that another family member had already booked rooms at a different hotel closer to the venue. So I called HotelsOne back within 10 minutes of making the reservation to cancel it, but they told me that they have a strict no refund policy.
Now, I get it, policies are policies, but come on. It's not like I was trying to cancel the reservation the day before or something. I booked the rooms a whole year in advance! And it's not like they won't be able to book the rooms again, especially since it's for a wedding that's happening next year. I just don't understand why they can't make an exception for an innocent mistake like this.
To make matters worse, I found out that the Gettysburg Hotel is aware of this policy and agrees to it. So I wouldn't recommend booking through HotelsOne or with the Gettysburg Hotel if you can avoid it. It's just not worth the risk of losing your money if something unexpected happens.
Avoid HotelsOne.com: A Total Scam and Terrible Customer Service
So, I was trying to book a room at Sandman Inn, which was close to the event I was attending. But, instead of booking directly on their website, I was redirected to HotelsOne.com. At first, I thought it was a good deal, but boy was I wrong!
After the event, I went to check-in at the hotel, but to my surprise, there was no reservation under my name. The clerk told me that my reservation was booked several blocks away, which was quite inconvenient. However, he was kind enough to help me out and said he could take care of it.
Fast forward two weeks later, I checked my Visa statement and saw that I was charged for two rooms at the hotel I stayed at, plus the room that was incorrectly booked through HotelsOne.com. I was furious! I contacted Visa, and they told me to talk to Sandman Inn. But, when I talked to them, they told me to talk to HotelsOne.com. It was a never-ending cycle of blame-shifting, and no one was willing to take responsibility.
I tried to cancel the reservation that was incorrectly booked, but HotelsOne.com had a 50-page cancellation policy, which was ridiculous! Sandman Inn couldn't do anything either, as it was booked through HotelsOne.com. I felt like I was scammed, and I wasted $300 for nothing.
The customer service was terrible, and no one was accountable for their mistakes. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. If you're trying to book a hotel, try to contact them directly, and avoid sites like HotelsOne.com. It's not worth the hassle and the money you'll end up wasting. I give this company a bad review for every dollar I wasted. It's a total scam, and they don't care about their customers.
Captivating and Heartfelt: A Review of The Kite Runner
I called to make a reservation at the Alt Hotel at the Halifax airport. I called a direct line to the hotel but somehow my call was re-routed to Hotelsone.com. I had no idea that I was not speaking to a clerk at the hotel. The operator who answered told me that there were no vacancies at the hotel but that she could arrange another hotel near the airport. I later found out that there were, indeed, vacancies at the hotel that I had originally called. I tried to cancel the reservation that she made for me at the holiday inn but I was told by the desk clerk at that Holiday Inn that they could not cancel it and that I would have to go through hotelsone.com to cancel the reservation. When I tried to do that, I could only reach an automated system that informed me that if I cancelled the reservation, I would lose the full amount of the booking. How in the world my call was rerouted from the actual hotel to this company remains a mystery to me. But I would say that this company is pulling some major scam and is involved in some kind of fraud. The people at Alt Hotel told me that they never use third party companies for bookings. I am going to be forced to stay at the Holiday Inn for the sake of avoiding getting charged for a room I didn't use.
Disappointing Experience with Hotelsone: Hidden Fees and Poor Customer Service
So, I was trying to book a room at the Holiday Inn Express, but somehow I ended up on Hotelsone's website. I was a bit confused, but I went ahead and booked my room anyway. Unfortunately, I had to cancel my reservation due to a family emergency. When I called the Holiday Inn Express to cancel, they told me that since I booked through a third party, I had to go through them to cancel. They also informed me that they don't charge a cancellation fee, which was good news.
I went online to Hotelsone to cancel my reservation, and it was actually pretty easy to do. I had 48 hours to cancel before I would be charged, and I called within 36 hours of my arrival date. However, when I read the fine print, it said that while Hotelsone doesn't charge a change or cancellation fee, the hotel property may require them to charge a penalty of one night's stay. I was a bit frustrated, but I called the hotel to see if they could waive the penalty. They told me that since I booked through a third party, I had to deal with them.
I tried calling Hotelsone, but I was on hold for 30 minutes and kept getting their recorded message telling me that I could cancel or change my reservation online. I eventually hung up because I couldn't wait any longer. To make matters worse, my credit card was charged the full amount of $606.48 on the very day I canceled, even though I had canceled within the 48-hour window. Two days later, I received a credit of $384.26, which was less than what I had paid for the three-night stay.
I feel like I'm entitled to my full deposit, and I'm definitely going to notify the Better Business Bureau about this. It seems like a bit of a scam to me, and I don't want anyone else to have to go through what I did. Overall, I wouldn't recommend using Hotelsone if you can avoid it. Stick with booking directly through the hotel if you can.
HotelsOne Review: Terrible Customer Service and Misinformation on Refunds
Me and my hubby had a reservation at a hotel in Atlantic City for just one night. But then, my mother-in-law had a heart attack just two days before we were supposed to go. It was a tough time for us and we had to cancel our reservation. Unfortunately, we missed the cancellation time of 6:00 and I had to call the hotel directly to cancel. But the hotel staff told me that I had to call HotelsOne to cancel my reservation. So, I called HotelsOne and spoke to a representative. I explained my situation to her and asked for a refund. But to my surprise, she told me that there was nothing that could be done. I was really upset and asked to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor told me to hold on and he would call the hotel to get their permission for a refund. After a while, he got back on the line and told me that the hotel had denied me a refund and there was nothing that could be done.
I was really angry and frustrated. So, I called the hotel directly again and spoke to the same woman. She told me that she absolutely DID NOT get a call from anyone and that she was the supervisor, the only one there, and she would have no problem with giving me a full refund given the circumstances! I was relieved to hear that, but I was still angry at HotelsOne for lying to me. So, I called HotelsOne back and asked to speak to the person who lied to me. But they told me that they could not transfer the call. I explained the whole situation again, quite upset now, and the representative said that she would call the hotel again and get their permission for a full refund. And of course, she did! I called the hotel again, spoke to the same supervisor, and she did get that call and was more than happy to help! Finally, I got my refund!
The bottom line is, I would not recommend using HotelsOne. They lied to me and caused me a lot of stress and frustration. Instead, I would recommend booking directly with the hotel or any other hotel. It's always better to deal with the hotel directly, especially in situations like this. So, be careful when booking through third-party websites like HotelsOne.
Avoid Hotelsone.com for Bookings: Frustrating and Disappointing Experience
So, I was trying to plan a surprise for my wife's birthday and booked a hotel 21 days in advance. I thought I had booked directly through the hotel's website, but it turns out I ended up on Hotelsone.com, which is a 3rd party site billed through EAN.com. I was distracted with work when I booked it, so it was my fault. The night before our stay, I called the hotel to confirm and they told me I had booked through a 3rd party site and couldn't use my membership to get points. However, they did confirm my reservation and told me check-in was at 3 pm.
My wife and I arrived at the hotel at 1 pm hoping to at least leave our luggage, but the front desk told us that Hotelsone.com had overbooked and we didn't have a room. I was so frustrated and disappointed. The young lady at the front desk was very helpful and called every hotel within their company to see if there were any available rooms. Unfortunately, this was a popular beach area that fills up fast, so I knew it was unlikely.
I decided to call the company myself and after 2 hours, they found a place for us. However, it was a few miles away from the beach area, which meant we had to travel an extra few miles to get to the beach. I was so angry because they ruined my stay and kept me 2 hours away from my fun in the sun.
The initial hotel did give me a refund and the company gave me a $38.00 amount for the distance difference if I would have taken a cab. However, I'm still checking to see if the other hotel charged me a higher fee. It hasn't shown up on my billing statement yet.
Overall, I suggest avoiding this company/website for any bookings. It was a frustrating and disappointing experience.
HotelsOne Review: Confusing Cancellation Policy and Unhelpful Customer Service
I should have read the cancellation policy more carefully. But come on, who has time to read every single detail when you're trying to book a hotel room? I saw the words "refundable" and "free cancellation" and assumed that I would be able to cancel if needed. It's not like I was trying to pull a fast one on them or anything.
And even if I did miss the cancellation policy, it's still ridiculous that they wouldn't refund my money when I cancelled just a few minutes after making the reservation. I mean, it's not like they had already booked the room or anything. They could have easily cancelled it and given me my money back.
Overall, I would not recommend using HotelsOne. They may seem like a good deal at first, but their cancellation policies are confusing and their customer service is not helpful. If you want to avoid headaches and unnecessary charges, I would suggest looking elsewhere for your hotel booking needs.
Disappointing Experience with Hotelsone.com and Days Inn During Hurricane Florence
I had to stay at a hotel during Hurricane Florence and decided to book through hotelsone.com. I made the reservation the day before and when I arrived, I asked about their refund policy in case I didn't need to stay for all the nights I had reserved. The lady at the front desk told me that I just needed to let them know by 11 am on the day I wanted to cancel and that it shouldn't be a problem to get a refund due to the hurricane. However, my experience at the hotel was not good at all. The place was dirty and unkempt. The outdoor trash bins were overflowing and there was trash all over the place. The room I was given had a terrible smell and there were flies buzzing around. It smelled like rotten food and the shower had curly hairs in it. Despite all of this, I stayed for one night because I had no other choice.
The next morning, I went to the front desk to cancel the rest of my reservation. The attendant told me that I had to do it through hotelsone.com. I tried calling them several times throughout the day but the automated system kept hanging up on me. I was willing to forfeit one night of my reservation but I was driving home during a natural disaster and it took me seven hours instead of two due to flooding and road closures. I couldn't just pull over and keep calling the company. When I finally got home, I still couldn't get through to hotelsone.com. It took me a few days to finally get in touch with someone who told me that they had to contact the Days Inn to see if they would allow for a refund. It took a few more days before I received an email from hotelsone.com stating that my refund was denied.
I was charged over $300 for a hotel room that I didn't even use while the Days Inn had the ability to rebook it. I was a victim of a natural disaster that caused a lot of emotional and financial hardship for my family and I feel like hotelsone.com and Days Inn took advantage of me during this difficult time. I had alerted the front desk of my cancellation but they still got to double charge for the room. I'm very disappointed in both companies and will not recommend them to anyone.
Disappointing Experience with Hotelsone.com: Issues with Booking and Confirmation Process
I recently used Hotelsone.com to book a hotel for a trip. However, I encountered some issues with the website. When I tried to change the dates of my arrival and departure from Jan 2/Jan 3 to Jan 3/Jan 4, the website did not properly register the changes. As a result, I arrived at the hotel only to find out that I had been booked for the wrong dates. I later checked the screenshot of my booking request and saw that the date indicated was the one that was in place before I made the changes.
I also did not receive an automatic confirmation email after making my reservation, even though I provided my correct email address in the booking request information fields. This lack of confirmation made it difficult for me to catch the error before arriving at the hotel. I had to re-book and re-pay for an additional booking, which was frustrating.
I use a Mac computer with the most current browser available, so I don't think the issue was with my technology. Additionally, the customer service phone number provided by Hotelsone.com is an international number, which can result in significant additional surcharges while waiting for a customer service representative to address the call.
Overall, I was disappointed with my experience using Hotelsone.com. The website's error-prone functionality and lack of automatic confirmation emails made it difficult for me to book my hotel with confidence. I hope that the website can improve its user experience in the future.

I was overcharged for a hotel booking. When I called to ask for a refund hotelsone refused.
I booked a 4 night stay for 3 rooms at Monterey Bay Lodge in April 30 2024. My credit card was billed $4439.52. I never received a confirmation or receipt from Hotelsone. After my stay in July [protected], I received checkout receipts from the hotel that showed the charge for all 3 rooms should have been $3276.54. I was over charged $1162.98. After many...

When I booked, the web site made it seem like I was booking directly with the hotel. They charged me $838.44 but the hotel was only paid $605.74. It looks like they took my reservation and then made the actual reservation via Expedia and pocketed the difference. I never would have known if the hotel staff hadn't said my reservation was actually made through Expedia and I asked for a receipt which showed they were paid far less than I had paid.
Claimed loss: $232.70
Desired outcome: Reimbursement of $232.70.

Changing a booking date
I made 2 bookings for 2 rooms and I got the date wrong on the bookings. I was suppose to book it for next week and I accidentally booked it for tomorrow night. I instantly realised and made contact to Hotelsone within a minute of confirming booking. They would not change it to the following week. They also said that they need the hotel to change it. This is a lie.
I spoke to the Hotel directly and they said if I had booked it directly they would have changed it but because of the third party they are unable to, the hotel was kind enough to give a discount so I now have the 2 rooms for tomorrow night as well as next week. All because they wouldn't change the dates for me. 2 for the price of 4

Best Western Plus reservation
Booked a room via phone by the website that replicated Best Western (BW) for tonight, November 25th, checkout November 26th. The manor in which they (Hotelsone/Hotel Planner) answered & represented themselves appeared as if I was talking to BW. They said I had the best rate available & the unit had a full size fridge. By BW, they overcharged roughly $80 & the unit only has mini-fridge. I deserve a refund of
overcharge of $80.
Desired outcome: Refund of $80

I called yesterday manager not there. I am attempting to call again today 10/23 as said person is to be there by 11 am est. Did see a complaint on hotels reviews from 10/19 about cockroaches also. Would have not stayed there if this was known. Staff just acted like I told them I needdd a towel or something. Hopefully you can do something . I was charged instantly as soon as I booked room. Should get something for hotel having cockroaches.
Desired outcome: Would like some type of reimbursement. And hotel should not be supporting the Wyndham name if they have bugs.
Unauthorized charge
9/8/23 2:31pm reserved a room thru Hotelsone.com at Hotel Isles Resort for 10/12/23. At 11:47pm I cancelled. See screenshots to show that $0 was charged and $0 due. On 9/9/23 the HOTEL mgr went into the booking and charged my card for the full $601. I called the hotel mgr and he said the booking says he has a right to charge me $601 for cancelling because it’s non refundable. Despite there not being a deposit due until within 72 hrs of arrival. See screenshot of cancellation showing non refundable and total due $0. He laughed and told me to file a dispute with my bank. I called hotelsone and was told there’s nothing they can do. Why do they allow hotels access to pymt info before pymt is due. Anyone from the hotel will hv all card info to use at their disposal like Jose Jacobo Suarez Frades owner of hotel.
Desired outcome: Full Refund
I did not get the room I booked for
I made the above booking on 15 Sept 2023 for my stay on 22 Sept 2023. I never liked booking anything through a booking site. This time, however, I was led to believe that I was actually in the actual hotel website. Granted the mistake was mine not to ascertain this fact before I made the booking.
However, what made it worse was the fact that I had been cheated and misled into thinking that I had made a booking for a spa room, when actually I had not. The picture of the room I was booking showed a picture of a spa. This is absolutely criminal. It led me to believe that I was buying something I had wanted, when I actually wasn't. I only discovered this fact when I checked in. The poor owner had to bear all my displeasure. This in not the way to conduct business. Its criminal and very deceitful. I can't find a way to post this in public, as you will probably not do anything about this letter. What a sham.
My booking
I've changed my booking with your company and Sofitel and your customer service agents were rude and demanded money. I really think you look at your customer service before you have no clients left !
My flights have been changed and I ask them to please send a message to the hotel, which was fine. I spoke to the hotel and they agreed to change at no cost!
I called back to confirm the with your company and your agent was demanding a pay an extra fee of 31.01 GBP, which I refused as this was not changed by the hotel?

Reservation cancellation
We made a reservation on July 29,2023 at Little Creek Hotel and Casino in Shelton WA. After we made the reservation we realized it was not made through the Hotel, because they would not honor our complimentary stay. We immediately cancelled the reservation with and received a cancellation confirmation email. However, they did not refund the payment and did not notify the hotel that reservation was cancelled. So we paid $233.57 for a room we did not sleep in. When we called Expedia, we were transferred to many offices (all overseas) and they kept saying the could not help. The fact that Expedia claims to be this great company, and honor cancellations is a joke. We are out $233,57 dollars because they have a website setup that "looks" like the hotels, but in fact it is not. And after we drove to the hotel and talked the manager, she new about the problem and was sorry we were tricked. We cancelled the reservation on the same day, and the confirmation is attached.
Desired outcome: Full refund from Expedia and/or Hotelsone
Overcharged by $436, can't reach customer service
On May 2, 2023, I booked an online reservation for 4 nights at the Sitzmark Lodge in Vail CO for $1,400.78, including $1,176 in room fees and $224.77 in service/other fees (Reservation # [protected]). My credit card was charged upfront for $1,400.78. I believed I was booking directly with the Sitzmark at the time, but I later learned it was HotelOne. When I got to the hotel, I learned the actual room and service fees, including the booking fee to HotelOne, were only $964.32 (I have a receipt to match this). The Sitzmark Lodge was surprised and upset to hear I'd been charged upfront and overcharged by $436, or $109/night, and said I was entitled to a refund from HotelOne. However, it's impossible to reach a live person at HotelOne to discuss anything other than a new reservation. The Customer service line [protected]) requires the user to provide a reservation # starting with an H, and my reservation number does not start with a letter at all. This is a scam, and the company should not be allowed to do business in this fraudulent manner. I want a refund for this excess charge.
Desired outcome: A refund of $436, the amount of the overcharge
My Experience with HotelsOne: Not the Best Option for Booking Hotels
HotelsOne, in my opinion, is not the best option when it comes to booking hotels. I would suggest contacting the hotel directly instead. This company is partnered with EXPEDIA, but I don't see any value they add to the booking experience. When I booked with them, I thought I was booking directly with the hotel, but it turns out that they charge upfront, which the hotel doesn't do. I had to call the hotel to make changes, and they told me that they never ask customers to pay upfront.
I have seen other reviews that say the same thing, so I know I'm not alone in this experience. I wasted my time and money with this site, and I regret it. The rates available directly with the hotel were cheaper than those charged by this site.
If you decide to book with HotelsOne, be aware that they will charge you upfront, whereas the hotel would only charge a deposit. This is not something I was aware of when I booked, and it was frustrating to find out later.
Overall, I would not recommend using HotelsOne. If you have a bad experience with them, I suggest filing a complaint with both the BBB and the FTC.
Deceptive and Greedy: My Experience with HotelsOne
I gotta say, I recently stumbled upon this website called HotelsOne (hotelsone.com) and I gotta tell ya, I was not impressed. First off, I thought they were the actual hotel I was searching for on Google because they presented their search result in a way that made it seem like they were the real deal. Then, when I got to their site, they had the hotel name in big, bold letters, but their own name was in a tiny box that looked more like an ad than anything else. Talk about deceptive!
But it gets worse. They listed a rate as "Best Available" that was actually higher than the rate I found on the hotel's own website. And get this, they marked up their actual rate by almost 70%! That's just plain greedy if you ask me. I bet they're making more money off of this transaction than the actual hotel is.
To top it all off, when I tried to get some help from their so-called "CustomerCare," they were evasive and not helpful at all. I mean, what kind of customer service is that?
So, if you see this company creeping into your booking, I would highly recommend avoiding them. They're not worth the hassle and they're definitely not looking out for your best interests.
Unapproved Credit Card Charge at Ramada Chelsea Al Barsha Hotel through HotelsOne
I recently made a reservation for the Dubai Ramada Chelsea Al Barsha hotel through HotelsOne on July 30th, 2017. According to the website, I was not required to pay until I checked out of the hotel. Additionally, I was able to cancel my reservation free of charge up to one day before my arrival. This was a great feature that I appreciated.
However, shortly after making my reservation, I received an SMS from my bank stating that my credit card had been charged with 200 AED at Chelsea Tower in Dubai. This was unexpected and confusing, as I had not authorized any charges to be made at that time.
I am disappointed with the way that HotelsOne and the Ramada Chelsea Al Barsha hotel handled this situation. As a customer, I expect to be treated with respect and transparency. I do not understand why my credit card was charged without my consent, and I feel that this is a violation of my trust.
Overall, I would caution others who are considering using HotelsOne to make their travel reservations. While the website may offer some attractive features, such as the ability to pay later and cancel free of charge, there is no guarantee that your credit card will not be charged without your knowledge or consent. This is a serious issue that should be addressed by the company and the hotels that they work with.
HotelsOne Review: Easy Booking, but Confusing Customer Service and Website Transparency
I recently used HotelsOne to book a hotel room for a quick getaway. The website was easy to navigate and I appreciated that they offered free cancellation until 6 pm the night before my booking. However, my travel plans changed and I needed to cancel on the same night that I booked.
I called their customer service line and was on hold for about 10 minutes before speaking with a representative. They informed me that I had actually made my booking through hotelpass.com, even though I had booked it through the HotelsOne website and received a confirmation email from them. I was confused because I had never heard of hotelpass.com before.
I tried to find more information about hotelpass.com on their website, but all I could see was some Asian writing. I couldn't even tell where the website was based because the phone number didn't have a country code.
Thankfully, my booking was only for one night and I decided to just let it go. However, I was disappointed with the experience and would hesitate to use HotelsOne again, even if they offered me a free room.
Overall, I think HotelsOne has some work to do in terms of their customer service and website transparency. It's important for customers to know exactly where their bookings are coming from and to be able to easily cancel or modify their reservations. I hope they can improve in these areas in the future.
Disappointing Experience with Hotelsone.com: Hidden Fees and Poor Customer Service
I recently used Hotelsone.com to book a room at the Prestige Mountain Resort in Rossland, B.C. Unfortunately, I quickly realized that the price was listed in American funds, which meant that I would be charged an additional 25 to 30 per cent due to the exchange rate. This was a frustrating discovery, as I am a Canadian and was not expecting this added cost.
To make matters worse, I was charged a booking service fee of $14.99 US, in addition to the cost of the hotel room ($189 US). Despite cancelling my reservation within an hour of booking, I was not refunded the full amount. Instead, I was left pursuing the $189 US for a room that I never even used. It has now been almost a month since the booking, and I am still trying to resolve this issue.
While I understand that there may be cancellation fees for last-minute cancellations, I cancelled my reservation four days before my expected arrival, which was well within the stated time frame needed to cancel without penalty. It is disappointing that Hotelsone.com was not more accommodating in this situation.
Overall, I would not recommend using Hotelsone.com for future bookings. The added fees and lack of customer service make it a less than ideal option. In fact, if I could rate Hotelsone.com "no stars," I would. It is important to do your research and read the fine print before booking with any online travel agency to avoid any unexpected costs or issues.
Beware of HotelsOne: My Disappointing Experience with Booking and Customer Service
I had a recent experience with HotelsOne (hotelsone.com) that left me feeling disappointed and frustrated. I thought I was booking directly with the hotel, but it turns out that I was actually dealing with a representative from HotelsOne named Ian. He promised me adjoining rooms with my sister that would overlook a scenic river view. He also mentioned that the breakfasts were sold out, which was a bit of a disappointment, but I figured we could find something else to eat.
During the booking process, I mentioned to Ian that my sister had a gift certificate for her room. He assured me that she only had to present it when we went to check in, which seemed reasonable enough. I jotted down the confirmation numbers that he gave me (R836518024 and R836519507) and didn't think much of it at the time. I knew I had emails if I needed them, but I didn't think it was necessary to check them right away.
Unfortunately, when I arrived at the hotel, I discovered that I had been charged for two rooms instead of one. If I had read the emails that HotelsOne had sent me, I would have realized that there was a mistake and tried to cancel the extra room. But because I didn't check my emails, I ended up paying for something that I didn't need.
I have never written a negative review before, but this experience has left me feeling like I was taken advantage of and lied to. I trusted Ian and HotelsOne to provide me with accurate information and a fair deal, but that didn't happen. I feel like this company is not honest and I'm happy to report this experience so that others can be aware of the potential pitfalls of booking through HotelsOne.
In conclusion, I would advise anyone considering using HotelsOne to be very careful when making reservations. Make sure to read all of the emails and confirmation numbers carefully, and don't assume that everything is as it seems. While I can't speak for everyone's experience with HotelsOne, I can say that my experience was very disappointing and I won't be using this company again in the future.
Frustrating Experience with HotelsOne: Outdated System and Inefficient Processes
I recently had an experience with HotelsOne that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I had booked two rooms for a two-night stay at a hotel in Guadalajara, Mexico in February of 2020. Unfortunately, I needed to cancel my reservation and that's when the trouble began.
Let me warn you, if you try to change or cancel a reservation with HotelsOne, be prepared to wait. Their system seems to be down most of the time, like 80% of the day. When you try to make changes, you'll receive a generic email saying that their system is down and to try again later. The next day, you might receive another email asking you to confirm your changes. If you're lucky, you'll get a real answer, but more often than not, you'll receive the same generic message saying that their system is down.
It's frustrating to get caught in this loop. After more than a week of this ridiculous game, they finally confirmed that my reservation was cancelled. However, they warned me that it could take a few days to get my credit back. I'm crossing my fingers that everything will work out.
Overall, I was disappointed with my experience with HotelsOne. Their system seems outdated and inefficient. I hope they can improve their processes in the future to make things easier for their customers.
Terrible Customer Service and Hidden Fees at HotelsOne - A Disappointing Experience
It's really disappointing to see that some companies these days don't care about their customers. I recently booked a hotel through HotelsOne and it was a big mistake. When I got my confirmation, I was shocked to see that the total was $194. I couldn't believe it! The rate was $158, tax was $23, and there were service fees of $12.13. I asked them about the fees and they said that their company never charges fees. But when I showed them my confirmation, they said they couldn't see the breakdown of the charges. I even asked if I could send them a copy of the confirmation, but they said there was no way to do that. The supervisor was no help at all. It was really frustrating. I told them that this was the worst customer service I have ever experienced. It may only be $12.13, but it's the principle of the thing. I work hard for my money and I don't want to waste it. The people at HotelsOne were really unfriendly and unhelpful. It's a shame that they can stay in business with such terrible customer service.
Misleading Booking Experience and Nightmare Cancellation Process with HotelsOne - A Zero Rating
I gotta say, I had a pretty rough experience with HotelsOne. I thought I was booking directly with Days Inn, but turns out I was on some Expedia website. They make it seem like you're booking straight with the hotel, but that's not the case. And when I needed to cancel my reservation due to an emergency, it was a total nightmare. The hotel said they would cancel it, but then I was told to call Expedia since that's who I apparently booked through. And let me tell you, trying to cancel through them was like pulling teeth. They kept blaming the hotel for not wanting to cancel, but it was really all on them. I ended up keeping the reservation because I think they just wanted to keep our money and book the room for someone else. And get this - the price on Expedia was the exact same as the price on Days Inn's website! What a ripoff. I'm definitely going to be more careful when booking in the future and I will NEVER use HotelsOne again. It's just too misleading. Even Days Inn agrees with me on that one. Overall, I give them an absolute zero.
Disappointing Experience with HotelsOne: Technical Issues, Poor Customer Service, and Currency Confusion
I recently had an experience with HotelsOne that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I attempted to book a hotel through their website, but encountered several technical issues that prevented me from completing my reservation. After struggling with the site for some time, I decided to call their customer service line to see if they could assist me.
Unfortunately, my experience with their phone support was not much better. I was cut off twice mid-call, and each time I had to call back and explain my situation all over again. Despite being promised an emailed confirmation three times, I never received one. It wasn't until I spoke with a customer service representative who manually inputted my confirmation that I was finally able to secure my reservation.
To make matters worse, after hanging up the phone I noticed that the charges for my reservation were listed in US currency, despite the fact that I had been quoted in Canadian funds and was using a Canadian Visa card. I had to call back yet again to get this issue resolved.
Overall, I was extremely disappointed with my experience with HotelsOne. I had previously used hotels.com and had always received excellent service, so I was expecting a similar experience with this site. Unfortunately, I found that HotelsOne was not up to par with other booking sites like Kayak and Trivago.
In fact, I would recommend that anyone looking to book a hotel should consider calling the hotel directly. By doing so, you may be able to negotiate a better deal than what you would find on a booking site like HotelsOne. Additionally, hotels often pay a commission to these sites, so you may be able to get a better deal by cutting out the middleman.
